Have stayed at the hotel for a couple of days in the month December with family.Pros :1. The hotel is very clean, and rooms and washrooms are quite clean and tidy.2. Roof top restaurant : Open air restaurant is the best part of the hotel, with both food and view is awesome.Cons :1. Our room is closed once, with no balcony or view, with no feel of being on island.2. Price: I found price of the room is quite high, by comparing the price and facility with other hotels.Overall experience is normal and nothing special except for the rooftop restaurant.

My wife and I stayed at Hotel de Marina from Feb 3rd - 6th. Of all, the de Marina locations, we liked this one the best! We could take a walk to Marina Water sports and park every evening (hardly 5 min walk). The staff was extremely courteous, friendly, and very helpful. We had to check out couple of times for local trips to other islands; when we came back to check-in, the staff accommodated our request for sea-view room! The check-in and check-out processes were very streamlined and easy.The ambiance and rooms are really good and hygienic, and the food is also very good. Do stay in de Marina if coming to Port Blair. The view from your room deluxe sea view is mesmerizing and worth rememberingThe food at lunch and dinner was really amazing! Couldn’t be more satisfied. Restaurant staff very friendly and helpful. I loved my vacation here.

We stayed at de Marina Port Blair during the month of Dec ‘19.The rooms were nice and the breakfast was good. And it felt great to have breakfast at Sea View Dining Restaurant at the rooftop which offered us a serene view of the tranquil blue sea while enjoying the breeze with light music to make it even more memorable.We made reservation for our honeymoon stay, they decorated the room and bed so beautifully, it made our moment memorable.Well maintained airy spacious room, excellent room service. A nice place to stay in Port Blair. Very co operative, attentive and professional staff, restaurant serves good food. Rooms are nicely maintained and clean.Will recommend our friends.

It’s located in the heart of Port Blair. Walking distance from Rajiv Gandhi water sports complex and jetty, Cellular Jail and the happening market.The room was good overlooking sea, very clean and regularly cleaned by house keeping staff. Food was reasonably priced and well prepared.Staff was helpful in booking cabs and tour events.The only issue was of data connectivity....Hotel de-Marina stay with family was excellent.

Lovely place one can dive into the swimming pool

Stay was good and comfortable. Rooms and restroom were neat and clean. Good room service. We could access the shopping area, restaurants, etc within 5mins by walk. Buffet options were also good, we had Idly / Dosa, Aloo Paratha / Chappati, upma, corn flakes, Chocos, bread butter jam, boiled egg & milk, tea, coffee.Kettle & small refrigerator were available. Bathroom fittings were also good.

Rooms are very well decorated and spacious and clean. Started here for more than once and really love this hotel. The rooftop dining area gives a panoramic view of Port Blair. The wifi here is also fast. Loved it.

Decent hotel in Port Blair. Cellular jail as well as market are walkable from here. Getting an auto or taxi from here could be tricky, you may have to walk to main road which is like 200 m away and may be tricky when it gets dark. Restaurant service is not that great, but you can order to your room and eat. Food is good. Pick north Indian items like roti, dal or any subzi it is fine. They have lifts to rooms. Rooms are normal size, not too big but clean with AC. View from their restaurant on top floor is very good. If you get a good deal on price stay here. They can arrange taxi to go anywhere at additional cost. Travel time to airport would be less than 30 minutes. To Ketty it should take around 20 mins in lean traffic.

The rooms are really good, very clean and comfortable.I opted for a Sea View room. Though the view was good, the sea wasnt visible from my room at least and I had to literally stretch to find it.The hotel location is slightly on a hill very close to the city center bazaar.Walking distance to Cellular Jail. Evening time, we went for a walk down to the parks around the sea drive (marine drive) so it was exactly what we were looking for.The restaurant food was good as per our requirements (simple and not very oily) and the breakfast was amazing!Flexible staff, let us checkout a bit late and kept our luggage as well for a while.

It is good hotel. Neat &clean. We liked the surrounding from 4th floor. Very nice, eye-catching view &sunrise from sea face room. Good restaurant, neat, clean& taste food. we. satisfied room service. Approach rood is not good. you can get net connection from ground floor office only. we enjoyed in all manner. Worth money spend.

Hotel De Marina is just 10 minute walk away from Cellular Jail, Aberdeen Jetty & clock tower of Port Blair. If you love to have sea view even if at distance, do insist for 3rd floor. Hospitality at reception and restaurant was great. Food served at roof-top restaurant was good. Wi-fi strength is limited to reception area. Our room was at 2nd floor with sea view. King size bed with additional attached wooden platform was comfortable. Room was relatively big with private balcony. Room was well furnished & equipped.

Rooms are quite spacious and decently maintained. It is right in the city center, very close to few museums and central jail. It is a budget hotel. Check in and check out timings are not flexible. We had an issue with the timing they had online and their actual check in time. Hence had to wait out for more than an hour before we could get our rooms. Breakfast was complimentary but then not much options in the spread. Safe to have bread slices with jam and butter. South Indian options like dosa or idli didnt turn out to be good. We expected fresh fish to be served but it was frozen and when ordered, came undercooked. What is the point of having sea all around if you cant utilize what the sea provides you naturally. For one of the dinner, we ordered Nicobari fish and that was the only standout food item in the entire stay. Staff was friendly though. Hotel will arrange cab for you on request but pricing is high compared to you booking it from outside.

Hotel De Marina is situated at Atlanta Point and cellular jail, Aberdeen Bazar and Rajiv Gandhi water sports complex are all situated at walking distance. The staff here are very helpful and courteous. The food in the restaurant also very good. Also the room has nice view from balcony.

This is in reply to previous conversion of reply from concerned person or reprasentative who replied to my previous comment. We made late of 15 mins I didnt hide that which I clearly declared in my previous statement and we didnt asked anything of free from you and we didnt stayed at free of cost boss during my stay I stayed in different hotels which are above the class and they didnt behaved the same way of shameless which you are, and we didnt wanted to make late in checkout it happend because of infants which we had, if you are not considering these difficulties of customers then what hospitality and service you are giving to yours customers. If anything customers says about to change on that also if you reply rude then this itself shows the kind of service which you are giving.

The hotel is very nearby to sports complex, staff cordial, restaurant has good food. They even make local travel arrangements hassle free. They made my local tour itenary spot on with no glitches. Only negative point is lack of geyser in hotel and lift malfunctioning.

The hotel was clean overall, did have to ask for hot water to be turned on both days of our stay.Accidentally broke a glass charged 150 and then said okay pay 100 for a cheap glass which most hotels would have replaced it anyways when you look at the price you are paying, the reception staff and helpers were definitely good , did get told that you’re only allowed 2 towels a day after saying to to them that no hotel has ever said this to us and what if you want more than one shower per day , we got given another set of towels

We visited this place in February. The checkin process was smooth and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean and with basic amenities. The wifi is not that great and available only in the reception area. Our AC wasnt working properly but staff helped us getting it fixed somehow. The buffet breakfast was nice with decent variety. We had dinner here on both nights and it was nice. The location is great 15 minutes from the airport by car. The cellular jail is also walking distance from here. Decent experience here at this hotel.

Hotel is at good location.staff is cooperative.value for money.food is ok type.I have taken sea view room but actually it is for namesake only... good sea view you will get from fourth floor that is from restaurant.WiFi not in room. you have to come to ground floor at reception for WiFi, which is 2G only.in room electric buttons are near door not adjucent to bed.....check out time is morning 9.

Rooms are clean and staff is friendly. We were given sea view and city view rooms. From the sea view, we had to search to find the sea from one corner of the window, finally we could view it. City view was nothing but the backyard of the houses in the next street. But the location is good since it is walkable to the cellular jail, aquatic complex and arbadeen bazaar. Cannot expect much on the morning complimentary breakfast, but was ok.

You can choose normal rooms.. do not waste your money on sea view.. otherwise rooms are in good condition and well maintained. Friendly staff

Decent AccomodationPros:- Close to tourist destinations, like Cellular jail, aquarium, ross-island jetty etc.- Good ocean view from restaurant - on 4th floor- Courteous staff- Wifi access (but only in reception area)- 24 hrs room service, which is specially needed for travelling with a small kid- They provided us a packed breakfast, at 6am in the morning when we have to leave for north AndamanCons:- Cost is slightly on higher side, considering the facilities (This is subjective, it was high maybe because we traveled in December-end)- This is a basic transit type hotel

The rooms were very neat and clean. WiFi facilities were available only at reception desk. My room was sea view and you can see the view we got in the photos uploaded. Rooms were comfortable and size was good enough. The food was very decent compared to the standards available in Port Blair.

The location is good . Short walk to a pretty area in port blair as well as the Aberdeen bazaar . In ten minutes u can reach a promenade on the seafront . Re facilities there is a decent price value relationship . The rooms are comfortable and the sea facing rooms do have a view and balcony. The roof top restaurant has amazing views and I suppose good sea food . ( Dont order the non veg club sandwich ) . If it rains and u are stuck in hotel , there is no other relaxing area.

I stayed at this hotel for one night. My experience at this hotel was not a great one because:1) Intercom to reception is kept off as there is noone to attend or rather they dont wish to attend. Only restaurent no. works (400)2) The hotel does not have hot water available. We had to go down all the way from 3rd floor to reception and were told that the hotel has solar system (which is good) but it does not work in rainy season. We were assured that they will arrange for the hot water, but no response. So we called the hotel direct no. after some time and were told that the hotel does not have buckets as the 3 star and above hotels have policy of not keeping buckets !!! At morning, again after requesting on direct no of hotel, the same was turned on after 3 requests and bit of arguments. Finally we got the hot water and could have a bath after all above. (Remember we were on holidays and not trying to prove anything). And yes, we got the water in the bucket !3) Wifi does not work in rooms, you need to come to reception. 4)  The roof top hotel is not that great. Its just a terrace with some tables.6) Most of the items in the menu are not available.

A comfortable and handy hotel located at walking distance from Aberdeen Bazaar, Cellular Jail, fish museum and some good restaurants (by standards of Port Blair). Staff is efficient and cooperative. They can keep excess luggage in their cloak room while on trip to nearby islands.

Nice stay in the room facing the sea.The property is nicely kept and the rooms were clean.Better toiletries ( soap,shampoo/ shower gel) can be kept. Food was okk...can be better (veg). The staff was hospitable. An amazing stay worth the money spend. Surely recommend this to the ones who are yet to explore the beautiful Andamans...

One of the affordable hotels in Port Blair..Location is a bit far from Airport but its at a walkable distance from the Cellular Jail Memorial..Food served is good but the prices are quite high...Rooms with a sea view facing are really serene one but not the one with a City View...Would Suggest to go for the Sea View Facing Rooms.

I stayed there in November, as ours tour was entrepreneurs ladies special tour so safety wise great. Memorable stay, affordable comfortable rooms with sceneric sea view, excellent hospitality with good staff.

This hotel is near old municipal office. It is not a big hotel but with decent rooms. Service is OK. Rooms are reasonable. Roof top restaurant over looking sea. They serve thali and also separate items. Food is OK. Priced reasonably. Having food in the restaurant over looking sea is a nice experience

Giving 4 star bcoz of the location... Also room and resturant are clean... good staff... You dont have to book any auto or cab ... even if you take it will be less fare...All the places are easily reachable by walk....

We had visited Andaman Island from Yatra. Myself with my wife had the most memorable stay. The scenic beauty of the island enchanted us . The outstanding hospitality of Hotel De Marina made us feel staying at home though we were far away from home. Still we all miss their company.we wish if we could visit the island yet again and stay in Hotel De Marina our second home.

With a excellent view of marina park,ross island.we were there on valentines day for a candle light dinner.. Excellent and promt service, ready to help staffs and with mouth watering food

The location is the selling point, as it has a perfect beach view visible best from the rooftop restaurant. The rooms are up to standards. The only negative would be the service time and quality of food in the restaurant.

Please dont call this a luxury hotel. Its misleading.Its a good basic Lodge class. The city facing what they named is actually a non beach facing and there was no city other than the garbage. We took an upgrade for 590 RS to avoid unease of seeing the Garbage.The key deactivation at 9 am forcing you out of the room is rude and harsh.The food was well managed for dinner at the top beach facing restaurant arrangement.Breakfast is very basic.No wifi at rooms, the split AC is the room was noisy with no Louvres. The showers in the washroom was clogged!The landline to call intercom was not trouble free.Ordered Tea, got Coffee!Small rooms.There are no taxis or autos available as its in the interior road. You need a car always here.The cost we paid of 4K plus on an online booking portal is absolutely unjustified.

I had loss one day booking hotel amount Approx 5000 as they have not reschedule my booking for one day and i have spoken 1 week before to them , initailly they told come we will the matter and later they denied ....but room was available and reception has not given manager Number also once to speak.....other thing are ok ok....as well as they are charging more amount for calling auto or car as per market amount........Money Oriented hotel

Two receptionist (specially thick hair Mam) are very ruddy, liar. we booked 2 sea view rooms with 2 extra mattress for 3 days on 26-28 may18 but they allotted us 2nd floor (104 &105) and sea behind of tall tree. They claim sea view but Surprisingly sea at least 2 km from hotel (Hotel situated in a slam area with tuff walkable lane). Our stay was nightmare due to non cooperative receptionist.Full rating of De Marina-About Hotel: 4 stored building with rooftop restaurant (GF& 1st floor have no rooms.... only 2nd floor & 3rd floor have all rooms.... only 3rd floor 5 rooms telescopic sea view (301-305)Location: 2*(Slam area, Tuff unclaimed lane)Room: 2* A/C set with are fixed temperature 16 degree (remote not work) Small dirty room, Small bathroom with basic amenitis (no more space for extra matress)Staff behavior: Reception - Minus Ten Star (-10*) Receptionist are ruined property.(Room service - 2*)(Restaurants- 3*)Food: 2* (Too costly, no variety, all are same taste)Environment: 2* No sea view from 2nd floor. only partial telescopic sea view from 3rd floor Rooms I.e 201-205 & rooftop restaurant only.(Dont book sea view rooms on 2nd floor -101 to 105) you can book City view Rooms.Wifi : No wifi in rooms, same times you can get wifi at reception area.Stay hare if it is your last option. Hotel is good. It is near to Cellular jail and Marine park.But services are ok. We checked in at 1:00pm. Only one soap was kept in washroom, one light was not operational in washroom.Breakfast timing was 7:30am to 9:30am. All other guests headed toward havelock and left at 7:00am. Only my family was there for breakfast. They started calling us from 8:00am and called many times till we went for breakfast. Other issue was with check out time. Their check out time is 9:00am. Our room key stopped working after 9:00am. We thought of leaving for breakfast at 9:00am and check out at the same time but as they were behind us for breakfast since 8:00 am we left our luggage and went for breakfast. When we came back after breakfast first key was not working and then they were not ready to give us 5-10mins for check out. Again started calling for check out. Last one hour was horrible.
