We have ordered a crab masala, squid, fish finger and prawns. Taste is ok but not that great compared to what we pay. Over hyped i guess, went there coz locals suggested. They accept card & cash both.

The look n feel is not so good. It is an open restaurant, but the food is awesome n delicious. We tried lobster, red snapper n crab. All dishes were so good n nicely served. I would rate this 5 out of 5 in terms of seafood variety

Over-rated restaurant.I have asked alot of local people & they mostly suggest this place. I went in the afternoon and found the place half full. Ordered Fish, Chicken lollypop and friend rice. Fish and chicken didnt seem fresh and their was slight smell. Fried rice were not good as well, rice were very dry and felt like it was already there and heated up and served.This restaurant might be good in the past. But I found it average.There are small restaurants which will serve better food.

Service and food was good but the time to make the it was very long, and they forgot to put chicken in my chicken fried rice and had to be sent back to the kitchen again, which led to more waiting

Nice prepration n food was also good . Although presentation is not that great but food was awesome .I was always spectical of going to that place as I saw sambhawna Seth andaman series vlog n she had bad experience here but finally after so many months I thought lets try trust me it was worth a try .. you can definitely go to this place .

Was one of the good open air restaurants but sadly due to lack of maintenance can hardly recommend the place anymore. Plates and glass are badly stained, taps dont work upstairs, washroom isnt clean. Avoid if possible.

Read great reviews about this restaurant and so 12 of us got on a van and drove to this restaurant on our first day in Port Blair.Your can choose the fish and lobster you want to eat. Food is Indian, Chinese. We had the crab masala, lobster and Chinese noodles. Its an open restaurant so no air conditioning. The food is excellent. Service very friendly.Like everything in the islands dont expect luxurious, white table cloth experience, you will enjoy it nevertheless.We loved the friendliness and enjoyed the food.

I tried the mixed biryani out here. Taste is alright. Time taken to get you your food is ok. Overall its an average experience. The only thing that is above average is their price. A meal for 2 would cost close to 900 rs

Good place to have sea food. The cost is nominal but not cheap either. The portion size is good, sufficient for 2. Weve tried their mixed seafood noodles and mixed fried rice. Both were good. They also serve beer on the first floor. All beers are priced at 250. We decided to visit this place twice during our trip. The location is very close to cellular jail and marina park. The view from the first floor is good.

One of the famous restaurant around Marina Park serving good variety of food at reasonable prices. We ordered Chicken tandoori, Fish masala and Chicken Manchow fried rice. The food portion and taste of the preparations was very good. The ambience is nothing great to mention but the hygiene seemed questionable. The service was prompt but they should probably renew the seating arrangements. Prefer wearing full length trousers as there were quite a lot of mosquitoes feasting on my foot while I was enjoying the food.

I wanted to try Sea Food on my trip to Andaman Islands and I’m glad I chose New Lighthouse Restaurant for it.You get to choose your own meal and the way it is prepared.After you place the order, it takes about 15 minutes minimum to get it ready.Lobsters 🦞 and Crabs 🦀 are amazing there.The ambiance is not really chic & hip, but low maintenance delight.Also, you can only take the terrace if you grab a drink.

Place to try some good seafood near marina park. Tried some crabs and prawns along with chicken and vegetarian food. Couldnt understand the concept of the spices that they say would use and ultimately present to you when cooked finally. Seafood was fresh.. but the preparation wasnt.

New Light House Bar and Restaurant is located near to entrance of Fisheries Department Aquarium. As a unique quotient, it has few Glass Aquarium and Refrigerated Show Cases where various crab and fishes are displayed. The dinners can chose these pieces and Restaurant will happily prepare them for you. Apart from this little show business; it serves North Indian and Chinese Vegetarian and Non Vegetarian dishes. The preparation of most of Dishes is just average in taste. Cost is in mid range. Quantity of most of the dishes are sufficient to be shared between two people. Non of its Dish is remarkable to be mentioned specifically. Most of the dining area is in the open under the corogated tin shed. There is a small Bar at the first floor of the Restaurant.

Brilliant food! The whole fish is out of the world good. Nothing extraordinary location or decor wise, but it makes up with their amazing food. Also, the service takes a while, mostly because its always full. Go upstairs and grab a beer while you wait for your whole fish. Seafood items are highly recommended. Chicken items are unfortunately not boneless.

Hence, the experience reflects in their service and work ethics.The restaurant is not an air conditioned one, though they have another air conditioned branch a few hundred meters away to serve you. Specialized in Sea foods that includes variety of dishes with fishes and prawns, they also have good hands over the chicken and vegetarian varieties.The staffs are kind and generous. Gives good service and are professional.Overall a good place to be with family and friends.

Decided to visit this restaurant to try seafood basis the recommendation online.They have two seating. One on top and the other at the entrance. I preferred one on the top. You can sit on top only if you order a beer.We ordered:Fish and chips with beer: 250+200It comes with 3 blocks of surmai and some french fries. Surmai was fresh but slightly overcooked. It flesh was white and worth the bite. The french fries were oily but tasted good.Mixed seafood noodles:Good portion of noodles with some assorted veggies, prawns and egg. They might have added some more seafood but I couldnt differentiate. I loved the noodles.Devilled fish:We ordered this gravy based fish to compliment the noodles. It is spicy as its made with spicy green sauce and whole black pepper. It was good.Overall a better place for seafood than I visited in the afternoon. They have fish on display and serve what you choose.

Located close to Marina Park in Port Blair, New Lighthouse Restaurant is a well-known eatery among tourists and locals alike. If you do not mind sitting in an open breezy place, head to the rooftop. This open-air restaurant is best known for finger licking grilled fish, lobsters and crabs. The place has a dhaba kind of atmosphere and is clean and hygienic. You can choose from the catch of the day and request the style of cooking, whether simply grilled or with curry. Freshly prepared grilled lobsters are mouth-watering and go well with local beer. If it is your first day in Port Blair, this is the place where a tuk-tuk is likely to bring you if asked for a recommendation!

Its a good restaurant for some of the freshest Sea Food in Port Blair.Important to note as they get really slamed during tourist season and occasionally get flustered. That being said the food is totally worth the wait.The little roof top section servers cold Beer.

We went there to have lunch. The waiter was not interested to serve us water at first. Tried to use the bath room, but there was no water. Tried to clean myself from the wash basin just outside the wash rooms, but again there was no water. Surprised to see such kind of arrangements when the place actually is attracting a lot of crowd including foreigners!!. We , 6 of us waited for a long time after ordering the same Fish biriyani. Serving and arrangement have to improve a lot. Restaurant is a bit expensive compared to the regular restaurants in andaman.

Nice restaurant in Port Blair. Very busy place! The washrooms could be cleaner (we had to be reseated because of the smell from the washrooms emanating outside!!) Once we were far from the washrooms, it was fine.The service was exceptionally good. We had a varied group: Seafood fans, vegetarians, meat eaters, a gluten free person - and everyone was well catered for with good food.

This restaurant is located by the Port Blair water sports complex and serves a variety of seafood preparations. They have a seating arrangement across two floors, with alcohol being served in the top floor.There is nothing much to speak of regarding the ambience. The service is okayish. They have a counter where you can choose from the fresh seafood and live crabs for getting cooked.Coming to the food, their have a wide range of menu items but we found out most of them to be tasting from bad to average. I had the experience of tasting the worst American Chop Suey in my life there, with the sauce tasting like a watered down ketchup and the fried noodle being stale.The whole fish/lobster/crab items are expensive (they charge about twice the normal value) but they tasted okay.There are better options available for dining out in the main market compared to this restaurant.

New Light House restaurant is a family bar cum restaurant. Location is nearby clock tower and cellular Jail based at Marina Park. This place has wide menu including from rice to tandoor items . Most importantly its famous for its sizzlers and seafoods here. U get lobster, fish and crabs here which tastes good too . Worth a try

Not happy about the food. Biriyani was priced above normal and it was not hot. Restaurant subdivided into 2 portions. The bar attached rooftop portion has a beautiful view of Andaman sea and Ross Island. But the normal restaurant doesnt have this view since its in the downstairs on the other side. Exotic seafood including live lobsters are available at this place (on display). Mixed fried rice was better than biriyani. So, its worth for the view and average fo food!!

After hearing good reviews from the local people, we opted this and for me its a total disappointment. We ordered Crab Masala which he charged hefty and what we got in the end is just 4 piece of shell. Not worth much. May be shouldve tried other items but my first experience is worst so didnt gave a second chance.

The place serves in-dining. The good part: This is one of the few restaurants that serves beer and is open till quite late at night. The not so good part: The taste is ordinary. There is a huge waiting time once the order is placed.

It’s a large open shed shack with a tin top and no walls and plastic chairs to sit on. It’s popular among locals. Since it’s open it gets hot and dusty in the afternoon. Maximum they can provide you fans hanging from shack roof. The sea food however is ok. It’s ok for cheap dining.

Variety of food available...we ordered chicken kolhapuri but it was very spicy so asked to changed the dish and they changed it without any argument. Its near cellular jail and Aberdeen jetty. If you dont like spicy food then let them know before placing the order as I find that Andaman people generally like spicy food.

Place is good. Food is good. But be carefull while giving order coz out of 2 waiters 1 doesnot know how to take order and thus you will end up waiting for half an hour and re ordering ur food.

Food standard is falling. It used to be a lovely place with great food.

Horrible food. Waiter had no idea of the dishes. We ordered some mixed fried rice, Schezwan noodles, chicken kababs and veg pulo.The food was pathetic, uncooked with overuse of food colours.Their idea of spicy is adding tonnes of red chilli and red food colour. They have bones in kababs. It was an entirely new experience!!Avoid at al costs!!
