Centrally located building with many medical professionals from heart specialists to general surgeons. There are also residences on the upper floors. The building is easily accessible by driving yourself and there is parking underground. The building is also accessible by transit. It’s well lit and clean. With the amount of medical professionals in the building it is busy but you can get around easily.

The medical clinic was very clean and they handled people in an appropriate way. It is a medical clinic so it is always busy and appointments cant always be on time but that is to be expected. Overall very well managed.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!I went to the clinic because of really intense acid reflux symptoms that I have been experiencing for over 6 months. Dr. Ali told me “everybody has acid reflux” and that I’d need to be “throwing up blood in order to get an endoscopy”.Unprofessional, rude, and completely indifferent to my concerns.

Dont take tour kids here! I took my 14 year old daughter in because she had cut her hand and needed it to be cleaned and glass pulled out and stitches. When the doctor started rubbing it (not gently at all) to clean it and my daughter flinched (as any child would) he impatiently told us that he wouldnt work on her because she flinched and to go to emergency or medicenter instead. What a joke.

One of the WORST clinics Ive EVER been to! The receptionists are rude, & the Doctors could care less about whats wrong! They dont even listen & just give you medication to stay quiet! They told me nothing was wrong with me, but another clinic told me otherwise.. HORRIBLE MEDICAL PRACTICE.

Literally the worst place to go. I went here instead of my regular clinic because its Where do I start? Well first off they made me come in without having my test results done because of poor communication between doctors and receptionists. Than after having an appointment prepare to wait at least 30 minutes to get in. Lady before me had to wait more than an hour and a half and she just left because she had other things to be done by that time. Secondly doctors just dont seem to be interested in listening and understanding the situation you are in. Lady on the reception doesnt even know what adhd is and had to ask me the meaning of it.Im glad if you had a good experience but for me it was just stressful and frustrating. Thanks.

I came to this office for my first pregnancy. I was referred to Dr.Mayo by a friend of a friend’s. I’ve only visited the office twice. Once for my ultrasound and the other to meet Dr.Mayo. First off, the receptionist was rude both times. Not welcoming in the slightest. My meeting with Dr.Mayo left me feeling terrified.. I was not given any substantial information about my pregnancy. He did not say whether everything in my ultrasound looked good and if the baby was healthy. All he did was scare me by asking me thousands of questions about my medical background as well as my husbands. And he told me that I needed to get a lot more testing done. This was my first pregnancy ..I did not know what questions to ask.. he should’ve given me more information. I had got my blood work and ultrasound done a week prior and he was supposed to give me my results.. but he didn’t. Then when I tried to switch to a female doctor because I was left feeling uncomfortable.. they said their doctors do not “share clients” my friend recommended I go to Dr.Aiken and I couldn’t go to her simply because she was the in the same office. My experience at this office has been more of a headache than anything and I do not recommend anyone to come here.

I went to the clinic at 6:30 on the website and on the sign outside it was open till 8:30 but when I arrived they were closed. Disappointing..

My nephew was booked for a checkup and even though we were few mins late we waited almost an hour because the Dr was on a conference call. why didnt he book the call when he doesnt have any patients or make the call short, this place needs to be more organized with prioritizing their bookings. All I was told other people are waiting ahead of my nephew. On top of it the receptionist wasnt wearing her mask. Works clinic Ive ever been to

Hours posted online and on the building show its open Sundays 11 to 5... but on Sunday I sat outside within those hours with several other patients and waited but no one was there.

Rude receptionist and a completely apathetic doctor. Youd think when dealing with pregnant women Youd be a bit more caring and sympathetic, but apparently these people only care about themselves. Garbage place, I do not reccomend at all

Wow the receptionists here are really rude and unhelpful !!! I was here yesterday and they did not want to help me yet they were asking people if they needed to see a doctor ? I just phoned and the receptionist totally hung up on me without saying goodbye??? I think they are really unprofessional and should be fired !!! They shouldnt even work here if they dont want to help people! The doctor even looked at me like he didnt want to help me ! Whats wrong with the health system lately ? They shouldnt be denying people their health and treating people this way. They should do their job or stop working and get fired bottom line !

Was Bit hard to find the doc had the appointment at 12.15 and I was at 12 pm but when I called the doc office where should I come phone operators are not there to answer from 12-1 and when I went there nobody at the building front desk. First time so confused asking a shop lady nearby and found out which floor to go. They should replace somebody at the info desk. But the gyno dr wong is great 👍

On Sunday I called the walk in clinic ahead of time to ask if it was busy, and that my dad is seeking treatment at Henwood but was instructed to get an assessment done at a walk in clinic prior to admission. The receptionist said that the clinic was busy and that we should come back another day. We went to the clinic anyways, and there was one person ahead of us. My dad explained to her that he had moved here from Ontario last week to get treatment, and showed her his health care card. She was very rude when asking if he had self isolated for 14 days (This is a protocol for out of country travel/experiencing symptoms?), and then said that she wasn’t sure if a doctor would see him (he has been seeing doctors and therapists all week?). I go to the hys clinic myself, and have always thought the staff (mainly doctors/nurses) were great. We did get in to see a doctor, and he was awesome. The receptionist was supposed to fax my dads application to Henwood, however my dad called Henwood today and they informed my dad that they never received the fax. I’m disappointed in how the receptionist treated my dad as a patient, very rude and unprofessional.

The location is clean and feels safe - there always seems to be at least one security guard at the desk. The only qualm I have is that the parking can be difficult, but thats to be expected in this area of the city. Theres a transit station nearby and several bus stops as well. I find it very convenient that you can use the 2nd basement level tunnel to access the Royal Alexandra Hospital.

Edit: downgrading my review. Last few experiences have been very frustrating due to changing hours, either overworked or apathetic staff. Most recently I called to book an appointment during their listed hours, got a message saying they were closed and I could text them. Accidentally texted their circumcision hotline which is a different issue. Got through the second time, got told my doctor wasnt in so I should come as a walk in (I specified what time I wanted an appointment) and then when I came in they said they werent taking walk ins anymore. The waiting room was pretty empty and three hours till closing. Pretty chappedGood doctors, helpful staff, everything is a little outdated but I get the impression they genuinely care here.I came for a walk-in appointment and was greeted politely and seen quickly.Parking is crowded and costly; fortunately transit is very accessible.Mental health understanding and services does not seem to be something they are as current on as they ought to be given their eminence and location (being an area plagued by addiction and the many other disorders that tend to underlay it) as well as their proximity to the Royal Alex. That being said, their services were respectful and seemed to be adequate despite the fact that the only therapy offered was pharmaceutical.Definitely a solid three star experience.

As far as buildings go there is always plenty of parking, lots of friendly people near to help guide you and tons of available bus access with easy signage to do d your way. Inside the building has a variety of different offices as well as a convince store right at entrance. I am always comfortable while I am here.

Getting there isn’t the problem, locating what you’re looking for isn’t the problem. From other pics, it LOOKS like it has underground parking; it SAYS public parking; but when you drive up, you need some kind of pass to open the door.When accompanying a senior, it was very inconvenient in -30 weather to locate parking.

I was targeted for underground parking. I was 1 minute passed my time, I saw the guy putting a ticket on my window as he sneaked away from my car. How can a person get a ticket for being 1 minute past, was he standing outside my car waiting lol. Guess if you worked all your life, with countless years of college, you get targeted for having a nice car. One minute passed, I really hope karma comes back to you.

Came here on Saturday at 11am and they are closed despite stating they open at that time. Ive been waiting for 25 minutes outside their door but there is no activity to suggest they will be opening today. Very disappointed, they could at least leave a note stating they are revising the hours for today if they arent going to open.

I went here a few days ago and was seen almost immediately after giving my information and being weighed/blood pressure. The doctor I saw was very nice and considerate to my situation and got me a diagnosis and prescription in relatively fast time without actually rushing me or the process of figuring out what was wrong. Overall a really good experience as far as seeing a doctor goes.

I came into the clinic as a walk in to see a doctor. There were 2 Filipino women at the front. The one in the middle helped me as the other one on refused to make eye contact with me or acknowledge that I was even there. The one that checked me in was very stern and abrupt. Nobody took any vitals on me and I was put into a dirty room! How do you not clean your rooms after patients....so disgusting! I definitely will not be coming back here.

It must be nice to be able to just... Take two weeks off. And not tell any of your appointments (that were made four months ago,) until the day of the appointment. Five hours before the appointment. On a phone they cant access. And then leave early the next day and do the same thing.We have a time sensitive treatment. We dont have the time or patience to get jerked around.Very very disrespectful. Extremely disappointed. Not going back.

I understand there are emergencies that doctors have to see first. Im unhappy with how the clinic is managed. I had an appointment at noon, at first they called me to move my appointment to 2 due to emergency. Then again to 2:30. I showed up for my appointment at 2:20... waited to see the doctor until 4:15, then the clerk told me that they have to close and they wanted to rebook me. But the dates they gave me werent working for me. Unfortunately this is closest gyne office to my house so I have to come back but i will take public transit next time as parking is expensive and the clinic does not reimberse the parking.

After starting here with a doctor 8 years ago, my original physician had moved to a transit inaccessible location. I knew I had a complex care plan, and told the physician I was surprise scheduled with (not the requested one) spent our entire meeting asking me if I bought or smoked street drugs, accused me if pharmacy and doctor shopping (I had a single family doc over 8 years), and refused to listent o my answer. He tried to take me under his care and get me to sign a contract staying I would be urine tested immediately and at their desire, could only find my prescriptions on a weekly basis at theyre in house pharmacy, and had to turn down any medication a hospital might give me if I was in an eergwncy situation. I have reported Dr. Zayani to the Alberta College of Physicians in the hopes he will be formally disciplined in the hope hewilln never treat another person with disabilities this way.

They take absolutely forever to get in to see a doctor. You can book appointments and get in soon but everytime i went i was waiting an hour just to see my doctor. even though i had an appointment.. 1/10 dont recommend. the doctors are good but service sucks.

2 separate parts of this building. Front tower is apartments. Back tower and main floor is services. Nice building filled mostly with health care services. Drs, specialists of all kinds, X-ray, labs, expensive convenient store, sit down restaurant in the front main floor. Good location, right next to royal Alex hospital. Outpatients and follow up tend to be sent to this building to see specialists.

I had been referred here to get some symptoms checked as well as follow up with anxiety. The elderly woman who was a dr treated me extremely poorly when I felt about 20 seconds was way too fast to diagnose as she hadnt looked at me at all. I asked her if I could please use the 15 minutes I knew I had to explain and she became frustrated, left the room came back with a printed perscription, threw it at me and took it back after I said I didnt believe we had spoke long enough for her to thoroughly diagnose me. She ripped the perscription out of my hands and then threw it back when I began to cry asking her if she would at least listen to what I needed her to hear about my anxiety as my daughter and I had been through some huge medical life changes and such. She immediately shut me down and responded with I dont do anxiety, you need to talk to someone else! And walked away. I left crying with my 4 year old daughter in my arms wondering what had just even happened as I worked so hard to find a place that would help. This was suggested by 211.a few staff members chased after me and were vu kind and asked if I could come back the following day because everyone heard what had happened and were upset with how I was treated. Mentioning they would be leaving practice soon anyway. I returned and made explained all I had been through the past while so as to why I had anxiety bad.. I showed the perscription thenother doctor told me to take and he immediately took them back and responded with I dont even understand why she would prescribe you with this.. discarded it. I came back for follow up on anti depressants I was put on which I knew within hours wouldnt work as I took 1 and I was in bed for four days with an intense migraine I couldnt even take care of my daughter for 4 days. I went back and told him I needed to try something else.. explained back problems I was having and brought a friend for help. I wasnt depressed so I didnt understand why I had been prescribed these I was willing to do what had tk to feel better but I just felt I was way too anxious and on high alert rather than depressed. My daughter had to pee, we went to the bathroom and someone peed all over the seat. I told the staff and when they came back to the bathroom the nurse approached me while I was holding my 4 year old in my arms told me to stick out my arm and proceeded to put gloves on my hands and sanitizing wipes in my hand after! I could not believe what had just happened. If it were my daughter I would understand but why should I clean up someone elses urine?! .. I left embarassed that day as the doctor had got upset that I challenged him with the medicine he had been giving me. He snipped and made a comment on how I should probably get checked for STIs infront of my friend when I hadnt mentioned one thing about anything like that! I mentioned being in a lot of pain pften and how it had been getting thrown out easily. And he put both hands on either sides of my face and talked to me as though I was stupid the words THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH YOU! YOU HAVE GOT TO STOP!....Months later almost a year.. I finally have found a doctor that truly cares. He has since diagnosed me with ADHD and had me assessed by psychiatrist and psychologists with multiple anxiety disorders which are now being treated with an ANTI-ANXIETY medication which makes a heck of a lot more sense since I am naturally a super happy bubbly person and has been amazing and moved mountains in my life. I was also diagnosed with Fibromyalgia due to the accident I was in that he didnt believe happened. Got my medical from NS for it for my self and was able to prove it had happened. I was hit by a drunk and pinned and squished between two vehicles.Also disk protrusions, spinal stenosis AND bone spurs. Finally answers instead of just bandaids and people telling me I didnt know what was going on with my own body. O was thankful for this doctors initial kindness but it turned into something else after. He took me on as a patient, as his patient. Told me there would be no possibility

Doctors are good. But, on April 16, 2018, I had an appointment at 6:50 pm and it is 8.00 pm now. I am still waiting. I dont know how long more I need to wait.

I had an appointment yesterday that I had made 4 months ago. They had called and left a message a few hours before my appointment (on my landline and Im at work) cancelling my appointment as the doctor was on vacation. He had already been on vacation for a week so why couldnt they provide more notice? I get there for my appointment that Im unaware had been cancelled and the receptionist was exceedingly rude, like them cancelling my appointment with very little notice was somehow my fault. I make another appointment for today, I get there and my appointment had been cancelled AGAIN. What is the purpose of making an appointment when the office cant keep them? You had FOUR months to move my appointment. The receptionists are very rude. I had thought that this clinic was good, but now I wouldnt recommend going there ever. I would give them zero stars if I could since I received zero service, and all I achieved was a massive amount of inconvenience.

Absolutely wonderful 😀As a recovering drug addict Ive often felt per pensively judged or most times mis-diagnosed automatically on that alone and not of a medical issue on its merits . So when I was treated , diagnosed and asked to come back I once again felt like a human being that was that of an equal to others . I wasnt impressed with the service !! I arrived and went to washroom to find dirty paper towels on the floor and no toilet paper.I promptly told receptionist and she said shed take care of it.35 minutes later I went to washroom again to find paper towels on floor and STILL no toilet paper.I went to same receptionist and asked for toilet paper.She replied , just a minute and came back with a handful of toilet paper and said, I couldnt find the Dr. and heres some toilet paper.I said I dont want that, and took the box of Kleenex off the counter.Now, is that the kind of training receptionists get in College or University ?Totally unacceptable !!

Terrible experience. I don’t get to come to the city often and decided to take my niece to get “ better” health care compared to my community. The receptionists talked amongst themselves about my nieces medical condition in the lobby. If I could hear you, everyone did. Rude!

Great staff and doctors r very to the point no beating around the bush

I spent over twenty years going from doctor to doctor being told my description of pain and symptoms were all in my head. Some women can’t handle a period like others can (I’m weak?), take an Advil and seek me ta health care. My description of symptoms aren’t medically possible!Then one day after years of feeling beaten down, I was accepted to see Dr. Al Jahash as a walk-in patient.For the very first time in my life someone heard me. Dr. Al Jahash didn’t gaslight my description of pain and symptoms or try to tell me what I was describing was medically not possible:Thanks to Dr. Al Jahash’s dedication to his oath, I gained a pathologically confirmed diagnosis and validation at the age of 31. It was an incredible experience I will always hold in my memory: when the diagnosing surgeon validated every pain source and symptom I had been describing and begging for help for so long!Who knows how long I would have gone untreated before a chance to walk-in to his office. He and his staff treat me with humane dignity I had never known in a medical setting before.My journey still has a long road ahead, but I am confident in a brighter future knowing I have Dr. Al-Jahash, the internalist specialist, the dietitian, the nurse, and of course, Sebastian in my corner.I can only imagine how frustrating my case may be even for medical providers and support staff!What quality of life I do have today, thanks to this office, affords me the ability to help others in many ways.Thank you for all you do

Front staff were pleasant and efficient. I had called earlier about wait times, and the info given was accurate. Dr. Ibrahim Al Jahash was attentive and personable when I described my symptoms and history. He confirmed my relevant medical history from Netcare, provided sound advice, and explained his opinion clearly. Very solid.

Dr Linda Uniat has her office in the Hys center she is an eye specialist I have been her patient for a number of years, she did surgery on my right eye the professionalism she and her staff have shown is top rate could not ask for anything better.

Dr.zayani is my doctor as someone who is very anxious about their health he is very patient! He always listens to me and looks into exactly what is going on with me! I have seen other doctors and none are as patient kind or understanding I highly recommend him. Ive had sinus issues for months and he is the only Doctor that before writing a prescription double checked to see if there wasnt something more serious!

Terrible clinic. They do not follow up. Drs are not the greatest. Went in there around 11 weeks pregnant havent heard from the Dr since. Switched clinics to a more throughal Dr however I wouldnt recommend this place to expectant mothers or anyone if they prefer a detailed throughal dr.

They take care of my medical needs

Dr. Al-Jahash Sees patients based on his professional opinion of what a person does for a Living. He Has no problem telling staff that he will only see a patient during the 1st hour of his job, when the person is ON AISH/ASSISTANCE. They DO NOT WORK and therefore they DO NOT NEED TO SEE ME at any other time of the day.... IS what he told his staff. I had a serious allergic reaction going on and was tossed out of the clinic because HE DID NOT WANT TO SEE A PATIENT ON AISH/ASSISTANCE at a booked appointment of 5:20 PM. If you see him and the girls start taking you in first thing even if your appointment is not for a while... Dont consider this courtesy as a nice gesture it is because You are probably on AISH or ASSISTANCE and he does not want you in his clinic, and you are not supposed to see him except during hours he thinks you should be seen at. It is sad that there is such a bias ATTITUDE. A patient is not supposed to be judged on their stature of pay. This is a part of the ALBERTA HEALTH ACT!!

Excellent medical facility offers lots of services

Came in with my mother today for an appointment with a internal doctor. When we were leaving we had to book a follow up appointment. As we where booking the appointment the receptionist at the front desk sitting in the middle was talking on the phone with such bad attitude and was yelling through the phone! !!!! This clinic has great docs but that receptionist was very rude.

This place is a joke, the staff is so confused/disorganized, i have to tell the staff 3 times about my problem they kept diverting my question and asking me different question that has nothing to do with what im talking about. they think they know it all which they don,t and when their wrong they just flip you off tell you to take a seat.and the stupid doctors there have done nothing to help me out, just kept giving me pills, friggin pill pushers these doctors.
