Nice and clean place, variety of warm and freshly cooked food... (Haleem) was outstanding. Staff was Friendly... On good location with huge car park. No wheelchair access..... Overall it is worth paying.

Amazing buffet and very nice and well-presented food. A great place for kids and adults to eat out and for friends to socialise here. Very fancy and would recommend trying this place out.

OMG!!! ABSOLUTE TRASH. This restaurant is an absolute waste of time, money and energy. In the past this restaurant was amazing with good food and good furnishing but now they did a remodel and it looks like they’ve spent all the money on new lights and started cooking trash. The food is absolutely disgusting and there were only half the amount of dishes than there were in the past. And they had the decency to charge £14 per head for rubbish. It’s just an absolute joke. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. Put in a little more money and go to nawabs which is down the road. I’m sorry but this business needs to be shut down or reassessed.

Theyve had so much work done to the decor. Looks lovely inside now. Find the staff so friendly and nice as well. Food was yummy as well. Id rather have a smaller well done menu than 100s of dishes that arent all nice

Food was good. Not many options are there but whatever is there was good. The ambience was low light. Staff are good. The only thing I didnt like is constantly staff comes to our table to see if there are utensils or plates to be cleared and it was quite annoying and uncomfortable after a while.

It was a good experience to visit Al-Waalis today, staff were well mannered and nice, especially the lady who was serving ice-cream and desserts. Food was also good. Taking off two stars because of value for money. 🙂

UPDATE August 2021: Apparently the prices are now an eye-watering £14 per head (£15 on special occasions). Al Walis is basically what it looks like; a poor mans Nawaabs. Needs modernisation in a big way, and they need someone to keep an eye on cleanliness too.The starters were the best thing, because to me the curries all tasted uniformly the same?! Desserts were decent - if you like ice cream, and drinks were overpriced as they always are in buffet places. Ive also noticed that the price has crept up steadily from £7 (I think) to £12. Its basically at the point now where instead of just going, you think about the alternatives first.On the flip side, plenty of free parking available and friendly staff.I would go again, but only if someone else is paying!

A buffet restaurant. The main dishes were better than the starters, recommend the fish. Low marks on the deserts. The service was satisfactory.

Needs a good paint job, starters were good, mains so so, trying to copy nawaabs, we went due to a long wait at nawaabs, wouldnt go again. Seating was a little tight. Staff were polite. Not as big a choice of food as rivals.

Best place i been yet if your in manchester i recommend al-waalis. They layout inside is beautiful and its really nice to see what the manger has done with the place. The food is 10/10 its a buffet. I rate all the cooks and there recipes. Keep it up guys and you will have more happy customers. 😋👍

Was not please with the choice and variety. Misleading information on their website claiming to have more dishes than they actually had out on offer.

First time here. Large car park outside It was very busy. Had to wait an hour before we can get any seating.Starters and the desserts were very good. Which is typically standard for most Buffet places.But unfortunately the main course meal werent that great.I expected that from the beginning as majority of buffet places, suffer from the same syndrome good starters and desserts but main food are not as good.

I usually give 4 stars to this place but today i had to take 1 star off.Ist good things. It wasnt crowdy at all like other restaurants in which u can hardly hear each other. There wasnt any queue. Soup ,seekh kebabs,paya n fish were really nice.Bad points; some of the dishes werent fresh (manchirian,egg rice, pilau rice,haleem etc). Variety of dishes were reduced. There were only 2 staff members who were cleaning, serving and refilling the dishes too.. so it was taking a bit of time.Buffet prices gone up from 9.99 to 11.99 ....👎its no more a budget place.Ample parking. Lockdown precautionary measures were implemented there 👍.Overall we enjoyed as there wasnt any crowd.👉Management should revise the prices as they charge fir the bottle of water too.

My dad is a professional chef.In his experience the restaurant is working well -he also said each restaurant has its own negatives and positives and maybe if they could keep down on spice more people might come (since most people come in families with kids-and kids dont handle spice well)

Spacious car park. The food is above average in terms of quality and selection. Kebabs, steam roast chicken and Fish Pakora are the main attractions. Eat as much as you can. For drinks the water bottles and soft drinks are very pricy. The staff is very courteous and helpful.The cleanliness can be improved. The lighting is quite ambient.Overall better than so many restaurants that I have visited around the world.

Mostly shut down, but I believe they still may do weddings. I dont like it as it is quite noisy and reminds me of the racket during school dinners. The food and sweets are nice and you can eat as much as you like. But as I said noisy so conversation is difficult.

Really like Alwaalis, very tasty food and decent variety. Price has gone up significantly though so was a little disappointed in that but still, it used to be super cheap, now i guess its probably just standard price, much cheaper than Nawaab up the road though and better food in my opinion. Could do with a re vamp inside, but its clean and the staff are pleasant.

Nice food, cheap n cheerful. Theres a good few stairs up to get there. Other than the stairs its a decent place.

£2 for water is a joke it should be free the buffet is located on a side street that is hard to find looks like a mill on the outside you have to climb some stairs there are no windows looking out and no atmosphere inside . Food was not the best and cold.. The deserts were nice not a place to take a date but ok for a family meal.

The starters and main meals were well prepared and tasty and good fast catering. However, was not booked in on a first come first serve basis as the more number of people in a group the more prioritised the group of customers is by the staff and manager even if you come early, therefore our group was told to wait for an hour and then an extra half hour again.

Ground floor is Nadeem cash and carry now. They have moved to this place from old natwest building.

Now Al Waalis Restaurant is closed , Nadeem Grocery and Meat is shifted in Al Waalis Restaurant.

Too expensive and not very friendly. The food was not bad its just the workers looked very angry.

They have increased prices but did nothing with the food quality! Save yourself some money and get a takeaway instead! The restaurant wasnt even busy but due to covid the servers were supposed to put food in your plate and half the time you were just stood there waiting with no one to serve you!! With just 6 quid less then nawaabs this restaurant is definitely not worth it! Either pay the difference and go Nawabs or get a takeout from lots of other options on the same road!
