Our first visit to the Rani. The food was absolutely gorgeous and I have had some curries from all over Manchester. This was definitely the best I’ve ever had. Our family tried various dishes the owner recommended and each one was delicious. Well worth a visit. The prices are very reasonable. 👍🏻

A nice Indian meal!Friendly staff and tastes dishes so worth a visit.Downside was that the onion bhajis lacked flavour which resulted in a bit of a bland dish, however the main curry dishes and biriyani were flavoursome and had a good level of spice.The little complimentary shot of Baileys to finish is a nice touch. I would return :)

Unfortunately our experience was not good, it was incredibly busy, I feel they had taken too many bookings considering it was the first week back after a long lockdown. It was a new and inexperienced team. We waited 50 minutes for our starter, many people were getting angry and in fact a fight broke out in the restaurant and the police had to attend. It was a 2 hour 15 minute experience for 2 courses and the food was nothing special anyway.

Food excellent

Travelling back late and has missed tea so stopped off in Atherton at Rani at about 8:30pm were seated straight away. Waiter was helpful with the menu as I’m a vegetarian and he recommended a vegi version of one of the dishes listed on the menu as a chicken dish. It was delicious. My friend ordered the biryani when it came out it looked like no other biryani I’d ever seen as it was layered with the rice in a fancy pattern. Very unique I thought. Will be back soon I’m sure

This is our regular curry house. Fantastic food and service always excellent and friendly. Jamil opened afternoon last weekend for a special birthday meal and made it a celebration to remember.

Had a meal here, the food was gorgeous, definitely worth coming back for, there is a water feature on the wall and I took some photos of it, then the manager asked me why I was taking photos, I just replied that it was a nice feature but I felt uncomfortable after that. One of his staff did apologise for him though afterwards

Terrible service. Dining for a birthday and was sat for two hours waiting for food that never came, when asked for our food the waiter pushed the birthday girl and said ‘I’m serving another table’ that was too far after such a long wait. The whole party left after 2 hours and the 6th time asking where the food was. It was our first experience of Ranis and so very much our last. We will stick to our regular place. Never again :(

Food was spot on.Problem was staff watched girlfriend and her son constantly. Made her feel very awkward. Not called for and very unnecessary. Shame it spoiled a lovely meal.

The vegetable Madras was beautiful, and the staff were very kind in accommodating us at such short notice on a Saturday night.

Really bad service, waited 2 hours for food then the manager pushed one of our guests when we said its not good enough.if I could give less than 1 star I would. Hospitality is not on their agenda.

Attended the restaurant tonight for my mothers birthday. Waited 2 hours for food, when asked for 6th time about our main courses a member of staff spoke to a colleague in another language, which i was able to understand unbeknown to them and when i made clear i could understand the manager disregarded me and then pushed my mother. Very unprofessional, extremely bad service. Would not attend this restaraunt again.

Ordered non vegetarian meal for 2 absolutely loved it best curry we had in ages staff were friendly. Recently ordered the exact same as take out paid exactly the same price but was severely disappointed BIG let down in comparison to when we ate in there

Just started to eat my curry takeaway when i found a nice hair in my mouth! Lovely! I have bern coming here for years before it was taken over. I now just feel sick and no way will i be returning!!! 🤮

Eating here made me very ill, be careful if you have any allergys.I ate here and i follow a strict gluten free diet, I noticed some currys have soy sauce in them and took special care to avoid these and pick one that had no mention of soy sauce.Secondly WHAT THE HELL IS AN INDIAN RESTAURANT DOING USING A CHINESE INGREDIENT in their currys??? i can say that there was definitely gluten/ wheat in my food. i would give zero stars if i could.

Not often in restaurants but first this is so local and were used to Rusholme. Ranis is as good as the best in Manchester. The ONLY reason for 4 stars not 5 is the decor and seating. Not bad but weve experienced better. Well done though - a good food experience in Atherton -amazing!

We have eaten at Rani Fine Dining many times during the past 5 yrs, BUT, last Saturday (1 Sept 2018), the food wasnt nice at all. Sorry to say our future custom is in doubt.

3rd Christmas day spent here with the family we come here for every occasion wouldnt change a thing the food is outstanding and the staff are very attentive lovely atmosphere and very friendly. Merry Christmas guys 🎅

Since the first visit its the only indian restaurant that I will go to. Great food and service. Reasonable prices. Normally I feel bit off for few days after a curry but not at the Rani. Cant recommend it highly enough

Disappointing food and the service has been poor on two occasions now. First visit we were stared at all night and second visit we were hovered around and rushed out the door. If the food was better I could overlook bad service but, sadly, it is not.

Maybe fine dining is a slight exaggerating. Its average basic curry house.

Absolutely terrible. We went in for my mums birthday we went in and were left for 30 minutes before being acknowledged and we were left stood hovering over someobody elses table. They have obviously over booked. The food was terrible and all waiter were just ignoring us but their was only one waiter Lewis who actually doing anything around the restaurant.

I love the rani... always get remembered by the staff.... food is gorgeous... my sons who are difficult with food loves it.... I do feel the .food is expensive but worth every penny... may be too expensive for atherton area but its always packed so cant be doing too bad... nice to have a decent restaurant for the area... well done

Best curry house weve found in the local area of Atherton, Leigh, Tyldesley etc. Regularly visit and would highly recommend. All dishes are full of flavour.
