Great friendly Thai place! We went there for takeaway twice while we were staying in Bath. Best pad Thai Ive had in years. Try the Bangkok duck - delicious. Would definitely be our local if we lived in Bath.. Decent portions - not unnecessarily huge although the pad Thai could almost have done two meals. Thank you!

Fantastic Thai food which isnt very easy to find, in Bath or elsewhere in the UK. We were here on a Sunday night and there were few people thus cannot comment on how fast service wouldve been during busy times, but it was pretty quick for us. The waitress was courteous. Prices were reasonable too. The pad siew gayi is highly recommended as well as green chicken curry.

First take away in ages, and we are very disappointed, the food is clearly not coked fresh, I had Tao Hoo Sam Rod ( veg stir fried) I was expecting for a mix of vegetables and pineapple, instead was 90% soggy big fried tofu pieces, no one could eat this wet batter :( and few little pieces of pepper and pineapple...(lucky I could eat the pineapple with the rice..at least)My boyfriend ordered fried duck with vegetables, and he got as vegetables only chines cabbage:))) bless him..Maybe because of this lockdown situation they dont care too much of the quality, in conclusion I will never order from them again, first and last time!

Food was great for those that could eat it. however I specifically said in the special instructions text box that I have a peanut allergy and not to put peanuts in my food and when I got home having collected it there were peanuts so I couldn’t eat it. Very disappointed but those who could eat said it was delicious. Upset and disappointed.

Easily the best thai Ive had in years. We had the set menu for two and couldnt believe how delicious everything was! The starter was a mixed platter with sauces and salad. Everything fresh and delicious meats- prawn toast and chicken outatanding. The main were four plates beef, chicken, duck and vegetables each in a rich but light, flavourful sauce or broth. Generous sticky rice portion had perfect flavour. For dessert I had the coffee which was rich and short just how I wanted and my eating partner had the dessert.

Best thai in Bath (and beyond)! Had their takeaway which was great, but it was not until going there I had the opportunity to really enjoy their full service. The food was delicious and felt authentic, everything they brought to the table was a treat and beautifully presented. The restaurant itself is a wonderfully cosy little place - I just cant recommend it enough.

Ca
Review №55

Ill usually eat everything in front of me, but the takeaway we had last night from Thai Basil was inedible - big lumps of overcooked, gristly beef in the beef salad and penang curry, and onion in the tom yum soup was so soggy it was like eating veg from the sink plug hole. Such a shame as we thought we were in for a treat - certainly should have been for £32 for three starters and a main! Prawn crackers were nice though.

Shocking customer service after screwing up our order and claimed we didnt order the correct dish, instead quoting a dish that doesnt even exist on the menu. Sarcastic and careless. This is what you get in Thailand. Well, actually, I have been there, and no, its not what I received there -- so I wasnt overly happy with being patronised either. On to the flavour; average at best and on a par with amongst the worst Thai takeaways Ive tried in the UK. I dont expect the true flavour of Thailand when ordering locally from these kinds of establishments, but dont charge £8.95 for a dish that is small, bland and doesnt come with either rice or noodles. Its cheaper to eat in a Thai restaurant in London than this place.Avoid at all costs, unless you have a penchant for Wong Kei in Chinatown; in which case, your masochistic desires might be satiated. At least something will be.
