Salathai is a great place for Thai food, the dishes are excellent and there is a huge variety for Vegetarians as well as non Vegetarians.Service is also very fast and the staff are helpful and knowledgable with information on the various dishes they serve.If I visit Bath again I would book a table here again.

The food is deliciously flavoursome. If you are not too keen on spicy (hot) dishes, then this place is perfect for you, however they cater for spicy-lovers also as many dishes have more chilies ratings. My massaman curry was divine. The staff are delightful also, you just cant fault it. Would totally recommend it!

Have been numerous times for their lunch time offers and evening dinner menu, and it’s safe to say this is our favourite Thai restaurant in Bath - having tried many around the city.All their dishes are delicious and generous with portions (both meat and vegetables). Service is friendly and efficient.Their lunch time meal offer is also one of the best when compared to other restaurants in the city.

The most amazing food I have had in a while.

Reasonable pricing, particularly with their lunch and early evening deals however found the flavor a bit lacking. The dishes we ordered lacked the spice and flavor that I usually get in Thai dishes. Portion size was fine though.

Price doesn’t match with the quality very very small portion taste not authentic Thai food more like Chinese food very disappointment won’t go there again

Good food, nice surroundings, excellent value. This restaurant has the old fashioned charm of a British Asian place, making it slightly more formal than the ultra modern Asian places with minimalist design. The food is good quality and set price menu gives very good value. Its more spicy than the chain restaurants so not suitable for those who struggle with a bit of heat, but we will definitely be returning.

Had excellent meal here with my wife totally recommend it and the staff was spot on do not miss out

Very nice independent family run thai restaurant. Waitress was absolutely fantastic and was very friendly and welcoming. Food was brilliant, thai green curry was top notch. Interior decor is nice and restaurant is very well maintained. Prices are reasonable for city centre.

The staffs are friendly and also dish is always good. The lunch meal, which includes dish with rice that just like picture, serve around 7 pounds. This is one of recommend restaurant in Bath.

We stumbled upon Salathai whilst looking aimlessly for somewhere to eat. It is simply AMAZING! The service was fantastic and the restaurant itself if really relaxed. The prices are on point and the food wad perfect. Everything was clearly freshly cooked to perfection and tasted great. I would gladly take the 200 mile round trip again if I knew this restaurant was involved!

By far the best Thai in Bath if not the South West. Delicious food and they can also make majority of their dishes, including pad thai, gluten free!

I can honestly say this was the best Thai meal weve had in a LONG time and the staff were really friendly. We shared veg/tofu Pad Thai and veg/tofu Panang Curry and both were bursting with flavours. The portion sizes were good and the food was reasonably priced. The Eat Out to Help Out Offer made it under £20 for 2 sarters, 2 mains, rice, thai crackers and 2 soft drinks.We felt completely at ease with their covid safe environment and if we were local we would definitely eat here again.

Had reasonably high expectations following the various excellent reviews and I wasnt disappointed. We selected Set Menu C which provided a delicious variety of Thai food such as green curry, tom yum soup, chicken satay etc. It was so fresh and incredibly delicious. The front of house staff where great; attentive, not overbearing. Would recommend highly!!!

I have visited Bath many times over my past 10 years travelling to the UK. Each time I will come back to Bath and visit this place for my spicy thai cuisine! 3.5 stars in service and 4.5 star for the food!

Came here tonight for the first time and all I can say is the only dissapointment I had was the regret of not coming sooner! Hidden treasure in Bath, beautiful food and even better service. All in all, a wonderful experience and I definitely will be returning and recommending to anyone I know! Thank you to the team that works here X

Went here for a friends birthday not too long ago...im not overly familiar with Thai cuisine but I loved this place! Really friendly staff & quick service... I had a crispy duck dish & it was amazing😍 Nice looking restaurant too :)

Recommended by the front of house team at my hotel and didnt disappoint. Great reviews online and I completely agree. I chose to eat off the early dinner menu, 2 courses plus rice and jasmine tea for £12.95. The food was delicious and freshly prepared. The service was quick but not rushed. Would highly recommend.

Delicious food!

Truly authentic Thai food (based on what I had), which I feel qualified to suggest as my mother is Thai and I grew up on Thai food. The Papaya Salad is not one to be messed with if you dont like spice, but the taste was amazing and took me back to the street restaurants in Thailand. The setting wasnt the most elebotate but the service was great and the place was clean :)

Restaurant came highly recommended, we went out of our way to eat here. When we requested a table the server walked away. We were confused then we approached the server again to clarify if we could sit. The servers choice of words and lack of communication made her come off very rude. She said as I said the first time no, but that was the problem, she didnt say no.

I am a resident of Bath, and since I love Thai food, I have been constantly looking for good Thai restaurants. Without doubt, over the course of 6-7 months, and after numerous visitors to this place I can safely say that ‘Sala Thai’ is the best Thai restaurant in Bath we have discovered. Period! It has become our go to place (almost every once a week for me and my colleagues). £6.95 for lunch main course and awesome taste fits well to our budget as well. We jokingly call it our canteen. 😀 Keep up the same quality and taste Sala Thai. 👍

Ensure you book a table, they are always busy - which should be a good indication that its a good place. There is a variety of dishes and offers a broad range of vegetable dishes although you do need to check as some may contain fish sauce. The staff are lovely, they are really helpful and polite and the food is great. This is a little gem hidden by some of the larger eateries in Bath, but dont overlook it as its really delicious food at really reasonable prices.

We ordered the set menu...starter was good....main was disappointing...cold and chewy beef in one dish...hardly any meat in the other dish..... 😥

We were in a hurry when we found Salathai, and we popped in to see if they did takeout. Fortunately for us, they did! They were super friendly and we were in and out within 15 minutes -- amazing! The food was scrumptious and the service was great. I would definitely recommend to anyone in Bath!

Amazing authentic Thai food!If youre in Bath and you want amazing food cooked by a family run team who care about their customers and food look no further.We had an amazing meal which was served incredibly quickly and the taste was out of this world!When the bill came I couldnt believe how well priced it was.If we lived up here I would visit as much as I could. Dont take my word for it, try it yourself and see what I mean.

Good food and reasonable value for money

After almost three weeks in the UK this is the first disappointment. Very mediocre food. It wasnt bad - just very ordinary. Service was slow even though the place was almost vacant. (wait staff apologized for delay) Price (for lunch) was very cheap. We have many excellent Thai restaurants in Atlanta.

We go to Salathai once every two months. The food is delicious, staffs are very friendly, environment is clean and the price is reasonable. We enjoy having their satay salad, Penang curry and seafood dishes. Best Thai restaurant in Bath!

Very tasty food, although the menu does say that their curries etc are not suitable for vegans and vegetarians. If you are ok with a bit of shrimp paste, or whatever, you will enjoy. If you cannot, or wish not to compromise, then this place is probably not for you.

Looked cheap at 6.95 main course but actually poor value and not palatable. Half a shandy cost me 4.75

I was 5 months pregnant when i ve had a lunch. I ordered the noodles with prawn, which was unfresh, when I ate it I felt a mold in my mounth. I got the food poisoning, which I had to triet with antibiotics and it was very dengerous for me and for my unborn as I spoke to the specialist who told that my baby could die or both of us.Also the owner was very unfriendly even I came with another Thai for lunch. Never been again

Having lived in Thailand I can say that the food tastes nothing like thai food. But atmosphere is nice and price is reasonable.
