First train in India ran between thane and Mumbai CSMT or chatrapati shivaji maharaj terminus... One of the most important and crowded stations on the central line.. Connects panvel via trans harbour line.. 👍

The entrance to thane east is not finished from road to station. Need more work for passenger friendly.Signboards to escalator and other passenger facilities should be more prominent.Proper parking space needed for taxis and autos for pickup and drop.

Chemist, hotels, theater, bus stand for going to wagle estate, borivali, nallasopara,etc. Auto-rickshaw sharing and direct also. Mostly crowded with buses rickshaws and public.

Is best bus 700 running? its not showing in maps Please help

Thane railway station having 10 platforms , You can travel Central & Hurbour line from thane.Paltform1- only slow trains travels towards CSTMplatform 2- slow trains are running towards Kalyan, Badlapur, Kharjat , Khopoli side

The station premises area is well maintained. Is much more cleaner than how it used to be so good work done by our cleaners. However the flooring needs maintenance work as its not a even surface and our old and physically challenged might find that a problem so hopefully that will also be done soon. Do take a walk across the skywalk too if youre there it aint that crowded so you can have a nice walk. Have fun 😊

This is a baised review 😊😊as I was born and brought up in Thane East, I have been staying all my life in Thane East alias Kopri, by the way I am in my forties,This is one of the safest places to live in India, easily accessible, from Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Pune and Nasik in Maharashtra and Surat Vapi in Gujarat. You get all amenities at walking distance, nice places for senior citizens and youngsters to hangout with friends and family. Well connected with central Mumbai with local train and western suburbs with bus services from various corporations.

Nice railway station. Near Bus depot and ST Depot. Easy traveling thane district with help of Good transportation.

Helpfull to travel. Having facility help desk, gents n ladies washroom, separate platform for up n down local, evm machine, ticket counter, flyover to cross platform. Almost all including slow and fast local took hold on this station. First local travel between mumbai to thane so this station got Historic place value.

Thane East to Borivali East AC Bus service...Last Bus starts at 9.30 PM

Sometime most crowded but fun to travel.. Good place security, basic facilities overall best station..

Very much crowded place but no options to skip as this is a transit station.Much more infrastructure needs to be improved. People are used to the crowd but at some point, higher authorities needs to plan some alternative. East - west connectivity along Ghodbandhar road will be a great option. This metro or local track will reduce extra burden on Thane, Kurla and Dadar station.Central wide bridge at Thane station is a good relief to the old congested bridges. Such initiatives will provide some temporary relief on growing crowd.
