Quarantined in a clean room with a good view and meals were prompt and delicious. Raymond will always check on your well being every now and then. Thank you Amara for the wonderful hospitality.

Good location with a varieties of food vendors and local shop across the road.The room was very nice. Bathroom with showers and bathtub.

Came for conference. Service staff is ok. Tried their vegetarian lasagne which I can say is nice, filled with mushroom and vegetables and the sauce is superb.

Was trying to drop off food for a friend who was on SHN. And surprisingly there is not a single soul at the hotel lobby or front desk?! And when my friend called up the customer service, a staff acknowledged the request but continued to ignore to receive the food. No hotel would leave its front desk unmanned at any time, especially a 4-star hotel. Very poor team.

After dinner at Jigger & Pony, I was waiting for a cab while sitting in the lobby. The lobby was empty, and I was the only one there so, no breach with any COVID-19 measures right? The service staff chased me out and told me I wasn’t allowed to sit in the lobby to wait for my cab. He was super rude and offensive it was a horrible experience. I was wearing heels and expected to wait outside the lobby standing for nearly 30mins cause it was peak period and there was no cab. What kind of hotel is this..

Not a 5 star hotel in terms of facilities but definitely one with a 6 star service. Hardly come across any hotels here in Singapore that engages the staff like they do at Amara. Raymond did a great job putting the heart in hospitality as he remembers and engaged with every single guests that he comes across. Saw him making balloon art for kids, making recommendations for eateries nearby, reminding guest to book their slots for the pool and gym. Staff are welcoming and helpful. I must say Im thorough impressed. The rooms are huge though slightly dated. Still very comfortable nevertheless. The televisions need a bit of upgrade though. However, that is all negated by the thoughtfulness of the service as we forgot to remove our DND, the hotel made sure they deliver bottled water in the evening to make sure we have something to drink. Rarity these days. Kudos to the team!

Our favourite are the Japanese restaurants and of course Don Don Donki

Great location. Convenient for transportation, sight seeing, shopping and foods (plenty of good food chains, includes restaurant and hawker centre) all within walking distance.Excellent for visitors as well as staycation too.

My father was serving his SHN at Amara Hotel. So there were times where I will go and deliver food for him because the food that was served was so bad, even market food taste so much better. During the times, where I went and delivered the food at the hotel, the hotel receptionist wasn’t welcoming and was pretty rude to us, making us feel like as though we went there to rob their hotel or even harm them. Overall, never gonna go and stay there. Food was bad. Hotel receptionist was not welcoming. Refrigerator wasn’t cold. Not prepared to served the people at all (the room wasn’t ready, fridge was unplugged, room was not cleaned). I would love to give it a -1 star or 0 stars.

My family and I had a very pleasant stay because of the excellent service provided. When we checked in, the staff noticed that it was my wifes birthday. She wished her and said that the hotel will give her a cake to celebrate the occasion This was most touching because we did not ask or expected it.We would specially like to commend Raymond, the front desk manager I believe, who went out of his way to make our stay most pleasant.

I had sprained my ankle but was scheduled for an event at Amara hotel. My worries were unfounded as I could get around easily with the extreme hospitality and great service shown by Raymond and the rest of the hospitality team who provided me with a wheelchair onsite, food recommendations and also great attention to detail while I was there. Had a great experience and would certainly recommend others to Amara Hotel.

I had a great stay at Amara Singapore. The room was clean and the Housekeeping was excellent. I had a small fall and the staff showed me a lot of care and concern. Thanks to Mr Raymond who was very concern and assisted me a lot. I will definitely come back again!

Was there for the High Tea... $50+++ for 2. The selection is good. The tea is from TWG if I remembered correctly.

Good hotel. Staff was very polite and good service. Room for improvement, their SHN meal like porridge could have come with soy sauce. Other than that the hotel has a variety of amenities around it like 100AM mall and opposite there is a food court and within walking distance to Tanjong pagar mrt station. Great location and easy to get around.

Hotel receptionist was very rude, asked me to leave while I was waiting for my friend at the lobby. We were going to have a drink at the bar inside the hotel.

Hotel was run down and seriously needs a revamp.

Pretty good hotel for the price. It was a bit more expensive than the boutique hotels but you do feel more comfortable in the Amara rooms. The rooms are modern and spacious inside. I also liked how conveniently it was connected to the 100AM mall which gave you access to lots of shops and restaurants and even bakeries if you wanted to have a quick eat. The lobby is also very nice and welcoming. I would recommend this hotel for future stays.

First time having Afternoon Tea here. Surprising good. Very suitable for the (SE)Asian palate. And its very very affordable. Love the durian cream puffs. This is coming from a person who doesnt even eat durian!

Update:Amara told me to email them at the address given, no reply even after 1 week. Really bad customer service👎👎👎=====Booked Amara as there were good reviews about the hotel. However, the experience was disappointing.1) The bed frame had a missing leg, causing the whole bed to be shaky.2) The bathtub was also rusted, with a dirty drainage hole that was supposed to prevent overflow.3) The sofa seat was also visibly dirty and freshly stained.4) Furthermore, a house keeping staff entered the room at around 7.15am, while I was still asleep, claiming that the room has been listed as checked out.Written into Amara TWICE regarding the above but recieved no response at all.Will NEVER return to Amara. Will definitely not recommend Amara as well.

We booked a 2 bedroom apartment at Amara Tanjong Pagar. The reception was warm and welcoming but that was when the good service ended.When we entered our room, we found a used mask in the flower pot. Even though we were uncomfortable, we overlooked this lapse in cleanliness as it was not in an area that we in contact with.The one that irked us the most was coming back after a long day to an unmade room. We left the sign to makeup the room on and the only thing housekeeping could ask was was the DND on? No apology was mentioned.We understand that this is a 4 star hotel but the service rendered is quite disappointing, a real dampener on our stay cation.

During this Covid19 the hotel provides a good thermometer scanning. At the reception counter, the staff has prepared for my check-in documents. Fast check-in today around 15mins. Last but not least they upgrade my room with no extra charges.

Very bad experience for a five star hotel. Bathtub got stain. Bed very hard, dirty and got smell. Pillow very soft. When go in no bathrobe no bottle water. Some more we are in the same level as those quarantine. NO MORE NEXT TIME.

Overall its really good. Comfy and strategic. Breakfast is wonderful as well. A little bit tiny issue like bathroom sink or the drawer but could be fixed. Really nice though.

Excellent Staycation stay. It was conveniently located near all the japan food area and I had a great time at the izakaya near it. It was also conveniently located at 100am so we can go there for breakfast and grocery shopping. The amenities was also good and the bed was also comfortable. The light switches of automatically and it was really clean. You can watch NHK TV program there too. Time really flies when you are staying there.

Great stay during the Covid-19 period. Many Mcdonalds staff were housed here too. Got upgraded to Club Room and extended our check out to 2pm. Hotel staffs were friendly and helpful. Room were quite clean and spacious. Only issue was the faulty room card issued. Had problems opening the door multiple times.

In general this hotel is a good place, I might come here again despite some concerns. It just,, The door locking need to be fixed, I keep changing my cards for 3-4 times maybe. The towel isn’t always consistently in a perfect shape, minor holes happen. The food is the same for my two weeks stayed so it’s bit boring, but at least they have good food quality. The service is good and the staff is helpful so it’s a plus.

1. The reception is not helpful upon asking for two connected rooms. Seems they are willing to give us at all.2. This is most worded event.During the breakfast time, the fat chef who serve us did not even wearing a mask. I reminded the staff to remind him, but the staff just answered me ok, then left us. The cheft was still kept on talking with half covered plastic facial cover , I can see all his saliva dropped to our plate. Thinking about this Covid period, I have no appetite to eat ...3. Half way swimming, raining, we had to run under the rain without an umbrella...4. During the stay, can see all rubbish packed outsides along the corridors, from yesterday till next day 12 noon no one came to clear until I called the operator..Really disappointed with this hotel.We stayed from 08/12 to 10/12 for staycation to celebrate my son 21birthday . Checking out tomorrow.

I would rate this hotel 4.5, but theres no 4.5 option, so I will just give it a 4. Book this hotel for my wedding anniversary. Usually we will be out of Singapore, but due to the Covid19 situation, we celebrated in Singapore this year.Hotel is dated. Even though the hotel is well maintained, I feel it is time for a refresh. We stayed 3D2N and they made the our stay worthwhile. Service was amazing. We were allowed to check-in early and late check-out. They gave us a free upgrade to club room. Room was great and there was a nespresso machine in the room. Comfortable and cozy king size bed. There was a bathtub with a separate shower which I like. Big fluffy towels... Nice!We had High Tea at the Tea Room FOC, arranged for us by the hotel. A small gesture for our wedding anniversary, which was really sweet.On our last day, we had lunch at the Element. We had Wagyu Beef Burger and Spinach and Ricotta Ravioli. The food was good and did I mentioned the service was excellent.What I did not like about the room was there wasnt a bidet in the bathroom and the TV is a little small.Thats all. Everything else was great.

Had an Amazing birthday staycation here! Felt just at home with the thoughtful local service staff. Rooms were clean and sheets were comforable though pillows could definitely use more support. The complimentary cake & the extended check-out time provided by the hotel was a bonus! The hotel was quiet too. Singaporeans wld love the accessibility to food of all price ranges. Staff were also very helpful. Would definitely recommend to friends & return! 🙂

Looks new from outside. Its old when you go inside your room. This hotel is in need of refurbishment. Minor defect here and there cannot be ignored. Location is good for this are of the city country. Easy to find food in the surrounding areas.

I had an uncomfortable situation with. hotel. This is almost the same with CCP. I used a bar at the hotel and after exiting from the bar I just I asked to use a wash room in the hotel. However, they rejected and asked me to go again from the bar. After going from the bar he didn’t say anything when I met him, which is still confusing from usability perspective avoid this kind of redundancy.

My girlfriend and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The overall experience was ok but nothing exceptional.Liked · The location is really good. It’s right in the business district and a few minutes walk from the underground station Tanjong Pagar. Staff are friendly and the hotel is very very spacious both the rooms & the common areas. Breakfast is well organized with quite a lot of choice.Disliked · The premises are quite old and the rooms in general need to be refurbished. The TV is at least 15 years old the toilet looks very consumed.

We love Amara, and really appreciate the late check out.Yet this stayca left us really disappointed.1)We booked club room, but room appeared smaller to the superior room.Paid extra for the tea cocktail and morning breakfast because I saw online reviews that there were wide selections offered and sushi for cocktail evening.2)Unfortunately tea pastries were fixed, meaning they will just pass you one assorted tray, the pastries were pre selected, we couldn’t choose. We didn’t like some but didn’t want to waste so we tried our best to finish all. Honestly, didn’t enjoy that much.3) Evening cocktail no sushi :( thou everything was deep fried. Taste good, if your health conscious maybe you can consider giving this a miss unless you’re there for the alcohol.4) Breakfast is no Longer buffet style. It wasn’t stated clearly on the website. The breakfast selections have dropped and they now offer a range of unappealing appetisers and each person can have only one main choice either Japanese or American or...5) The person who served us was rude and wasn’t listening. So here’s what happened. we went for the American breakfast set and they offer you a choice of ham, sausage or bacon. And the types of eggs. My partner went first and he told the lady serving us he wanted scrambled eggs she suddenly snapped at him and said “no select from” (starts vaguely pointing at menu) so we thought she was referring to grilled tomatoes or mushroom so he picked mushroom, then she snaps again said those 2 were alrdy in. My partner then said okay I want bacon and she snapped at him again! (???) We were puzzled so I just matched her tone and said “the menu isn’t clear”. Not sure if that was the magic phrase, after that she understood his selection and left... without even asking me what I wanted for my breakfast. in the end I was served the exact thing he ordered. I had no idea what was going on. I was just boiling. So rude!!Anyways if you guys are considering if you should go for their breakfast, I would personally recommend the hot bento from donki next door.6) FYI, pools have to be reserved. Last I checked the website nothing was stated about pool booking. We had to change our plans.We booked an early slot the next morning but door was locked :( had to approach reception.We really like Amara and have been coming here since a long time..but after this sad experience it has left us really disappointed. ( Could be due to covid that make this really bad ? But it shouldn’t be An excuse right ? )I’m not sure how they will make up for this.

Nice hotel and near to tanjong pagar plaza where you can find anything and everything

Everything about this hotel was fantastic. The staff were very welcoming; the room was clean, comfortable and spacious; the food at breakfast was delicious, many choices of Eastern or Western food, beautifully cooked and presented. We were in an executive club room, and the lounge complimentary afternoon tea, and evening cocktail drinks abs snacks were lovely, and the lounge staff were very pleasant and attentive. The swimming pool and pool terrace area were a welcome relief from the heat; a calm, good pool, with towels and chairs and loungers to sit on. I really enjoyed my stay here and would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Amara Singapore is one of the best hotel. Hotel Staff very cooperative. City view was nice. All attractive locations were nearby except Night Safari, Singapore Zoo and River Safari. There was an Indian restaurant nearby with 24hrs service that was one of the good thing. I have uploaded some pics with city view from my room.

I stayed for three days in this hotel and I must say it was the best hotel in my whole trip. The rooms are big and spacious, amenities are incredibly great, the pool is awesome, staff is polite and cooperative and lastly the breakfast. I have had breakfast at many places but this place is simply one of the best. You get live egg counter here. You can order different dishes of egg and cook serve the dish within minutes. Certaunly, one of the best hotels to live in Singapore.

Highly recommend the Amara. We have been to Singapore many times for business and family holidays and we now only come back to the Amara. The hotel is in a convenient location and well appointed, but it is the hotel staff that make a stay so enjoyable.The professionalism of the management team is a credit to the Amara. A special thank you to Raymond for your warm greeting each day, amazing balloon animals for our girls and for making our daughters birthday such a memorable day.

Good place for Japanese & Korean food

Ambience is nice. Had dinner at the Korean Restaurant there which was kind of expensive but the food was quite authentic (well to me that is). Was around the lobby of the hotel which looked quite classy and nice. Didnt actually stay there so cant comment about the rooms. Location of the hotel is quite good. Its together with a shopping centre and just walking down the street will get you lots of cheaper but almost equally good food.

Went there for a wedding dinner. The wedding Hall I went to is spacious but its more of a long Hall rather than a wide one. The staff are very efficient and friendly when approached. Room given to the bride is also spacious and well equipped. Spend a nice time preparing for the wedding despite the tight schedule for the wedding events.

Really good location, the staff are very friendly and so helpful. The price was also very good considering the benefits we received. We stayed in a club room and had free food and drinks in the club lounge. The staff in the club lounge were absolutely fantastic, they looked after us really well. I will definately stay there again.

Just checked in last night hoping to have a good stay for this week.I booked for a 1 Deluxe Room and they gave me a smoking room. Such a terrible experience. Why would you allow smoking in the hotel. If so, why would you allocate non-smokers smoking rooms. No sensitivity at all.Seems they have no plicy and system on how to this.

Worst experience EVER.Furniture is bad old and smells.Breakfast doesn’t meet the standard.Swimming pool entrance is under maintenance and gym not available.Only good thing is the bar is good.Worst part is VERY POOR OPERATION. Booked a king sized room for several days they just let you stay in a twin bed room. Struggle to change to one bed room every day, and just keep receiving wrong msg and waiting forever.And you have an optional choice to pay more money to upgrade to suite room. Very smart.

Very good location as it is near the CBD area with a good slew of shopping and sights. Staff has impeccable service! Lost my bag in the toilet and they were very prompt in locating it back plus very eager to make sure that I got it back asap! Kudos to Amara!

Great hotel. Room service was good. Reception staff was very polite. At the reception you have many options for food and drink like a buffet, tea shop and all. Theres a swimming pool on 6th floor which was really beautiful. In evening, after light turn on, the place really lits up.

Excellent location. Very near to the metro station. 24 hours amenities and super market just across a road. Breakfast in the morning with the locals at the nearby market. Great value for money.

The ballrooms were beautiful. Service by the Amara service staff was tip top too. They acceded to our guests special requests and followed up professionally. The set up for conference in the day and dinner at night in the same ballroom was beautiful and made it seemed like a different place altogether.

Hotel room is quite spacey but it is not well maintained. We had to change one room because the first room shower stall had mold on the surface. The staff it was difficult to remove and therefore they gave us another room. The management send over a fruit plate later as compliment to apologize. Pool Deck is a bit old and could use some upgrade. Overall, the location is good and convenient.

Very decent spread and good quality as well. The oysters are a bit small but sweet. The sashimi is fresh and sweet.

I was at connection 1 and 2 for an event. Service staff were friendly, food was good and refilled promptly. Only downside was that the menu cannot be changed/chosen even when certain foods were a little inappropriate for the event. The Element buffet in the morning was good.

Under renovation, but not stated during booking. Deceptive wording in complementary breakfast. Poor website design for booking. Booking through the official site leads to a third party vendor which messes up the order. If the management thinks that cheaping out on a vital process is a good idea, who knows what surprises are awaiting. I would rather stay at home.The only good thing was it was linked to the mall 100am.

Very good location and comfortable stay in this Hotel. Will rebook it when visiting Singapore next time.In addition, it was my birthday when checking in to Amara Singapore, my friend sent me a cake which was kept by the hotel. The Hotel gave me canddles when I requested when collecting the cake. All in all, a very good hotel with dedicated staff and services.

Another great place to eat if you happen to be vegetarian and a foodie. They have out of world Thai salads, I love the green papaya salad and the pomelo salads. I like the stir fried spicy tofu (yummy), and their vegetable red curry. In all great interiors, excellent service and lip smacking vegetarian food!

All the staff, but partticularly Henry the Concierge were extremely helpfulrol and Terry Room1212 and friendly. Henry the Concierge spent a lot of time helping us to get our booking with Big Bus printed and he persevered for well over an hour to ensure that we could confirm our booking and collect our tickets. The Big Bus information was very difficult to transfer to the Hotel and they should make it easier! Henry worked hard to find a way to eventually get the information transferred and printed for us!!

The location is good. Breakfast buffet was also good. Room is spacious.But the place is not really well maintained. I did a booking for my official visit through our travel partner , but due to the delay in response from Amara reservation team, had to face a lot of problem. I will not prefer going back to this place in future.

Room was of decent size but the bed is kinda hard and the duvet was not as soft as I would expect. The pool area and the gym are being renovated. There’s also a subtle smell in the corridors which could be a let down.

Stayed here for 3 days 2 nights at their club room. The room is pretty spacious and also offers a great view as the club rooms are at the top few levels. The club lounge itself is also great as you can have meals there while enjoying the view. The service provided in the hotel is also great, especially in the club lounge. Overall, I had a great stay and experience with the hotel.
