Absolutely delicious! As a qualifier, I have been to Eleven Madison, and a lot of the other Michelin star, and rated worlds top restaurants. It was really exciting to go here because Ive heard amazing things. We got the tasting menu and tried a bunch of different things. Whats really nice about this restaurant is that you dont need to order the same things as the rest of the party. My friend and I selected a variety of different dishes so we got to try more. Beautiful presentation. Amazing flavors and textures. We only got food so cant speak to the wine pairing. They give a mini welcome sampler of items and close with another mini sampler of complimentary desserts! Also, my friend couldnt eat beef and despite one of the dishes having it & already brought out, they happily switched it/modified it so that he could eat it.Definitely worth it!!

Le Bernardin is a 3-star Michelin seafood restaurant in Manhattan New York. Its seafoods are really great! I had lunch there, but customer can use its dinner menu. What I chose is Chef Tasting Menu, 7 course tasting about $200. I love every thing I had. The reason I vote it as 4 of 5, it’s because the long waiting time between each dishes. I spent more than 2 hours there for lunch, and the total waiting time >an hour. In addition, a very noisy talkative customer sat right beside my table. I’d rather enjoy my meal in a quite environment. My waitress told me that’s her first day working officially in the restaurant. I’d rather to have a more experienced server. When I choose a 3-star Michelin restaurant, I not only want to enjoy the delicious foods, I also want to enjoy the superior service with great table skills, and artful presentation.Addendum: On September 9, 2021, in the mid-afternoon, when I try to make reservation, a lady from reservation line answered my call. I was told no openings available for September and October for party of 2. While I was asking her additional questions, she listened to the half-way and hung up the phone. I think it’s rude and really not acceptable for a 3 star Michelin restaurant. Please be polite, nice and professional.

Had a chefs tasting dinner. Here is my ranking of meals. 1. Tropical fruit dessert. Great combo with a coconut sorbet and exotic fruits jam. Wine pairing with a sweet wine was too much though (I would prefer an espresso with this thing; with that wine its just too sweet). 2. Tuna. - this one is actually a foie gras on the first place, overall really tasty. 3. Dover sole - a very interesting taste. Again, wine pairing was a bit unusual: the meal came with a white French wine with a taste of a dry Port (didnt know that this kind of the wine taste even exists and could make sense). 4. Caviar. My first time of tasting an osetra caviar (even though Im russian). Tastes definitely better than the canned salmon caviar. 5. Langoustine - like an upscale shrimp (or prawn, not sure about the difference). 6. Halibut - a poached piece of fish, a little underwhelming for my taste. My wife liked it a lot though, and the sauce was yummy. 7. Rhubarb - this little dessert came after the main courses. Seems like its main purpose is to prepare the ground for the main dessert (pt. 1).Overall, it was my record-breaking long (3 hours straight) and expensive ($1k for two) dinner. Totally worth it if you have some money to burn.

My first 3-star Michelin meal at Le Bernardin. Its one of the 5 or 6 3-star in the city so I had high expectations for it. We chose the tasting menu because it seemed more value. However, one major theme is disappointment.1. The course started out with amuse bouches which cant be more boring: salmon quiche, some white fish in chimichurri sauce and a cold soup. Probably a warning sign of how the whole meal would go.2. Next comes the tuna carpaccio with foie gras bread. Foie gras was strong, but tuna was okay, did not taste flavorful.3. 2nd course is king fish with caviar. Le Bernardin is famed for their sauce, this sauce is very smooth and buttery but thats it, just a traditional French butter sauce. King fish is similar to hamachi but a bit fattier, caviar was okay.4. 3rd course is langoustine, probably the star of the show, tender, just right in a flavorful seafood stock sauce.5. 4th course is lobster. The addition of lettuce felt weird, as it made the dish feel cheap. The lobster was perfectly done though and very sweet. Truffle slices were few and not very aromatic.6. Fifth course is dover sole, their signature besides the king fish. Sauce was caramel-y and smooth, which complements the dover sole well. But again nothing surprising.7. Final main course was halibut that was bland, tough and boring. Disappointed that they ended a $275 meal with that.8. Desserts are normal, and nothing exceptional. Made me a bit angry that they touted exotic fruits for the last dessert course but it was just sweet and full of syrupy flavors of passion fruit. Passion fruit is no longer exotic. Please keep up with the times. For a 3-star, this lacks the great complimentary amuse-bouches and palate cleansers that fine dining offers. Also an outdated dining room decor that looks like it hasnt been changed in 50 years. Flavors seem so too. It probably serves as a place for business meals. I would spend my company dime on this but not mine.Total came up to $900 for 2 with a bottle of wine and tips. Next time Ill take this money to buy us a round trip to Paris and eat at 1-stars that are frankly way better and innovative than this. Most of the reviews seem positive though, did we get a bad day or something Eric?

Yet another magnificent dining experience due to Mitchells munificence. I cannot tell you that this or that item was a standout, because everything exceeded expectations, though we did especially enjoy the langoustine, which must be kept very fresh or it has an off flavor. Great experience to dine here. We did the chef’s tasting menu with wine pairing. We specifically chose this restaurant because they have a dedicated vegetarian tasting menu because my significant other is a vegetarian. Service from wait staff was very attentive. The food was great but not stand out from my other experiences at similar restaurants. I guess my expectations were very high based on the 3 Michelin stars. Ambience is good. It seems more like a corporate board room than a luxurious restaurant. Overall happy to have been here.

We had dinner in a private room upstairs with a group of 20. The service is impeccable and the food presentation is outstanding. That said, this is not a restaurant I long to come back to, I’m glad I had a chance to experience it but I prefer less fussy, more robust food. We had the 4-course tasting menu which begins with an amuse bouche trio, for my first and second courses I had the tuna tartare and the lobster. My main was the monkfish but I also tasted the dover sole they are famous for. Their desserts are fab. We had the passion fruit and the apple which is a stunning concoction (you can even eat the stem which is chocolate). So all in all, I am thrilled to have had a chance to finally dine here but I am not itching to return.

Given the rave reviews by many and the fact that its Michelin starred, the tasting menu was disappointing. Not that it wasnt very good...for the most part it was pretty good, but it was definitely not amazing as I had expected. There were several interesting items on the tasting menu but the thinly pounded tuna was boring. Foie Gras? Where was it? Hardly noticeable if any at all. The toasted baguette further added to the blandness. This dish had very little flavor...needed some saltiness to bring out the flavor. The dover sole and halibut... about as plain and ordinary as it gets. Again, lacked flavor and the presentation was nothing special. The langoustine and lobster were very good but the presentation was again, nothing special. The most interesting item was the 2nd dessert. An egg white outer shell w/ some sort of cream center. Very cool presentation and tasted very nice. The service was excellent, servers and sommelier very friendly and informative. Is it really necessary to change every piece of cutlery for every dish, even the ones you didnt use? They also replaced the whipped butter after one use and replaced it with a new one... and were taking about a half cup of butter, not a little pat. Unnecessary and wasteful.I would not return to this place and would not recommend you spend the money.

We came here after they reopened from the COVID shutdown. Dinning experience were strictly to 2 hours per reservation which I learnt only a few days prior when the reminder email was sent.We had the 4 course prix fixe thinking that the tasting menu might be rushed to finish in 2 hours.I had the fluke, lobster, red snapper and mille-feuille. They are all tasty and fresh. My favorite amongst them is the red snapper. My partner had the tuna-urchin, trout, monkfish and the pavlova. The trout was absolutely the best amongst them. Very flavorful. The Pavlova was untraditional as it didnt have cream on top which my partner is still grieving about.Overall the experience was okay. It felt very rushed as the waiters seemed to get everyone to finish within the 2 hours time slot. Often before our drinks were anything near finish, they will ask if we want another drink which we obviously are not. I was really pacing my drinks because I am breastfeeding but ended up getting a second drink which I didnt finish anyway. The experience didnt feel personal which was a bit disappointing.

On Friday night, my husband and I had dinner at what is now the 44th best restaurant in the world, Le Bernardin. That says a lot when considering that there are tens of millions of restaurants worldwide. It is also a 3 Michelin Star establishment. I have been wanting to eat there for years and it finally happened. From the moment we arrived, until the moment we left, the service was nothing short of spectacular. The host sat us at our table for two and pulled the table out so we could get settled comfortably. Water was brought to us within one minute and the drink menu was delivered. From that moment on, we wanted for nothing for the next two hours.Alex and I ordered the four-course menu, but it ended up being much more than that. Right after we ordered, we were each brought an amuse-bouche to start with. (The cauliflower soup that we were given as a tasting was incredible!) The dishes kept coming at just the right pace. Beautiful plate after beautiful plate was delivered to us by our own dedicated waiters. Each dish was explained to us in detail. The Sommelier helped us to pick out the perfect wine to go with our main course. The service, presentation and the bursts of flavors made this the best dining experience I have had to date. At the end of the meal, we ordered a coffee and a hot tea. Along with that, we were given a final bonus of four small desserts. (That matcha macaroon was the best one I’ve ever had!)If you find yourself wanting an unforgettable dining experience, check out Le Bernardin. It did not disappoint and has been a highlight of 2021 for me.

I was terribly frustrated with the directeur de salle, Dzelalija. His actions placed a dark cloud over almost the whole meal and were a terrible reflection of Chef Riperts excellence. At only our 2nd of 8 courses his upper staff approached both men of the table and stated that we better eat quickly to be gone by 8:30pm. From there, all 5 people were meant to feel rushed by the many of the staff with pointing fingers, looks and rushing actions. It was terribly disappointing of such fine food and dining. Dzelalija managed to nearly ruin our entire night.I would however like to give a tremendous thank you to Chef Ripert, the kitchen staff and the lower level floor staff. The food and attention to detail was magical. It was certainly worthy of creating happiness just as intended if not for Dzelalija. I wish I could have given them 10 stars as hoped. To Dzelalija: you or your company are welcome to contact me to try and right your mistakes and Id be happy to revaluate my review. We leave Sunday. I hope you do.

Often times with gourmet restaurants, you can leave still feeling hungry due to the small portion sizes but we were so stuffed from all the food. The restaurant, unfortunately, has become like much of New York -- a museum of its heyday. Fine dining is over in post-covid America, and price is no longer proportional to luxury. The meal was fine, but the service was clumsy (not the seamless masterclass of hospitality it once was) and our table, after a thousand dollars spent, was rushed out after only an hour and a half. If you are someone who enjoys exclusive spaces solely for their exclusivity, then Le Bernardin remains a pricey and inaccessible option. But if youre a foodie looking for exceptional experiences, you may need to look beyond NYCs tired and sweaty institutions of yesteryear.

I tried almost every single bread that they offered: the resin and walnut one is the best, my friend kept asking for it. They even asked you to get more bread to dip into the soup. Haha...We tried their harvest menu, they change this menu weekly, so every week it’s different. I like both of the main courses, very tender and delicious and not fishy at all. That is not easy to achieve. My appetizer: the slightly seared tuna is sauced with Cantonese style fish soy sauce. That’s innovative, but I’m not sure I’m a fan of it. This was our first choice of many restaraunts in NYC due to the 3-Michelin Star status. Upon arrival, we were greeted with kind staff and courteous hosts. Everyone was incredibly kind, however, I had ordered the four course prix fixe meal. Everytime I had finished eating one course, it would take them around 10-15 minutes to finally come over and take the plate and bring me the next course. I believe this was due to the fact that I ate it as more of a “tasting”, rather than just devouring the plates- I don’t eat that much to begin with.I began with the kampachi, followed by the octopus(which was delectable and perfectly cooked), and followed that with the merluza. The merluza was perfectly cooked, served with a sort of ‘stuffed’ zucchini blossom, which I absolutely adored. This zucchini blossom was by far the most delicious thing I have ever eaten- I could have eaten a plate full of that alone!Next was dessert, where I decided to order the mille feuille- which has a rhubarb & blackberry compote. Wonderful tea selection as well. Absolutely d i v i n e.Unfortunately, it took around 20 minutes for our waiter to realize we wanted the check, and I had to blatantly say “we are ready for the check”. The only downside is that they currently seem to be understaffed, other than that, this is the perfect place for any meal.I will be back.

WOW - The.Best.Ever! No words can describe this experience. It just does NOT get better than this. There’s a reason why this establishment received three Michelin stars and it most certainly lives up to the hype. This was the most memorable meal of our lives! Thank you!

Absolutely not worthy of 3 Michelin stars from a food stand point. The food was underwhelming on every level. The service was amazing, but great service can not carry a restaurant. Some dishes we actually found completely unsatisfying. Bland and flavorless. The fluke was average at best. The sea bass had black truffle that didn’t taste of black truffle. I can name 25 restaurants in NYC that blow this place out of the water and most have a much cheaper price point. Not worth the hype in any way.

Truly deserving of its stars. The food is superb, the service elevated. This is worth a trip to midtown and a splurge on some spectacular seafood. Magnificent.

Absolutely wonderful everything was wonderful from the start and you understand why this place has earned 3 Michelin Stars. Staff was attentive and organized. Bookings start months ahead so be very prepared. I say what can be said about the experience was that every dish from the amuse bouche to the dessert was the same quality and consistency. There was a very rigid atmosphere and the delivery was the same, very consistent and measured.

Lunch at the Dinning Room, Prix Fix menu. Expectations were met, definitely. Everything was superb but few dishes were extraordinary, mostly due to the rich and complex sauces that accompanied the ingredients. First class products cooked to perfection but the sauces are what make them devine. 3 Micheline stars rightfully deserved. Worth a special trip!

Had the 4 course dinner and it was exceptional. Dinner started off with an amuse bouche served on a unique tower. Every dish was presented beautifully and more importantly tasted good. One of the real highlights was the octopus appetizer which was perfectly tender and had a nice char flavour. The apple dessert was also spectacular. Beside being pretty to look at it was delicious and small touches like the little bits of sour apple added a nice bright contrast. After dessert they served petition fours which was a great touch. The service was also spectacular and definitely meet my expectations for this calibre of restaurant. They also had an amazing selection of bread where that was brought to the table for your selection. Even the process of giving customers bread was thought out. For each and every table, they refilled the bread played before coming over to your table so that you always have a full plate to choose from that doesnt looked picked through. Nice touch.Obviously this is a pricy restaurant and not something youd go to regularly but it is definitely worth going to for a special occasion.

During the polar vortex, I walked into the lounge of Le Bernardin, one of the best seafood restaurants in the world and was able to get a seat despite no reservations. I ate some of the best seafood I’ve had anywhere. Salmon tartare with house made chips was superb- great texture and seasoning. New Orleans grill prawns were delicious. The skate with lobster broth was one of the tastiest dishes I’ve ever had at a fine dining establishment. Bread service and all of the service was great.

Le Bernardin was one of the three higher end restaurants I visited in New York last month together with Eleven Madison Park. This one was the lesser of the tree. Definitely not saying that this was a bad experience though. The food was very good (went for the chefs tasting menu) . I personally wasnt a big fan of the drink pairing. The service itself was good but a little bit too formal.

Tricky getting a reservation, but worth the effort. Sometimes they have cancellations and you can set up a notification where they will alert you - book those quickly as others receive the same notice. We enjoyed a fabulous lunch with attentive but not overbearing service. The space has been beautifully decorated. Highly recommended.
