Good service at Hotel Ashoka, this resturant serves best quality of Masala Dhosa and the look of this resturant is good as compared with other Sagar Ratanas. This resturant has ample space to seat and enjoy. They also offer catering outside on various occasions like Birthday , family get together etc. Overall my experience was great here.
The food is just amazing... I went there with my father, husband and daughter and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! Sevice also top class... A five star meal in a classy setting at reasonable rates... Must visit...
Spacious and staff is polite and courteous. But it doesnt have veg north Indian food which other sagar ratnas have usually.Food was good and presented while.Youll only get south Indian food here at panchsheel marg outlet.I was saddened by their washroom though.. it is ver conjusted w.r.t the huge sitting area. There was no music playing when I visited.. I usually like soft music while having food.
Sagar Ratna Restaurant in Hotel Ashoka is the best if you are a pure vegetarian, in Delhi. You wont get any difference of taste from hotels in southern part of India to Sagar Ratna. Absolutely fabulous and offers very tasty food. I recommend Sagar Ratna for breakfast, Lunch and dinner
Food was piping hot and service was good too. Nice place if you not in a hurry
Vry polite staff...The food was as usual vry delecious...seating arrangement and hygiene
Exorbitant price for the food & service, though being part of Ashoka means huge rental. But too long a way to even come close to the taste & value Defence Colony Sagar Restaurant ( mother of chain) gave until 2000.
Very good food South Indian food. Service is very good. The still follow complete Covid protocol! This Sagar Ratna is in Ashoka hotel Chanakya Puri and the entry is from main road. Parking is there as well. It’s a good option for #cyclist going to Rajpath and India gate from #Dwarka to do a group breakfast as it opens at 8 am. #Chanakyapuri #Delhi #India #Ashokahotel #Food
Excellent service with up to the mark food. Get crowded during lunch hours. Prior reservation is advised
Very costly and hygiene/food does not meet the price paid. Not at all near to mangalore/udupi sagar ratna hotels hygiene and food quality
Since it is placed in a five star hotel so get prepared to get a dosa at a very cruel price. Otherwise its good
Delectable traditional South Indian Delicacies served with courtesy and hygiene. A great experience for relaxing over food and aromatic filter coffee with family and friends.
Very excellent place for special days.. Lyk birthday....
The restaurant is pretty clean and spacious.Food is decent as well.
Got food poisoning after eating here on 23rd September, 2021. Kindly avoid eating here
Filter coffee is simply amazing. You would love to try it.I cant stop after one, i need atleat 2.It is good.
Quality of food, super fast service, freshly cooked meals, and courteous staff cannot be compared to any other restaurant for South Indian food in Delhi. My go to place whenever I crave a good Mysore Dosa, with their amazing chutneys(of which they give unlimited servings). Badam halwa and filter coffee are icings on the cake!
Food is good but the restaurant badly needs maintenance. This time the utensils were also not very clean. You dont get the feel and ambience of a 5 star hotel anymore. The most irritating development is..the waiters have started asking for a tip.
The food at Sagar Ratna is always good. Here the seating capacity is good. The place was almost full
Good Lacation.. too pricey ..Nice interior..
Good Ambience. But Food very costly
Great food in Delhi but not taste up to the mark of South Indian. But pleasent and peaceful place. So nice of it.
We always live this place whenever we r there. Bang across the road from Nehru gardens, sitting in Lutyens delhi and having authentic south indian food with ample sitting and really great service. The food is simply awesome unlike all franchise saggar ratna cheap restaurants. This place is pricey given that they operate out of 5 star property, food quality os super super awesome, variety is great and the environement is very peaceful. Even youngsters and teenagers love it... Must visit once even if you are tight on budget, go and have idli.
Authentic south indian delicacies, great hospitality with almost no waiting even on a busy Sunday afternoon.....overall a wonderful experience....must visit
The restaurant is inside Ashoka Hotel so the ambience was good without nay doubt.. the service was quick and good.. Food is the standard of sagar ratna restaurant chain with good quantity.. good gesture was we were asked about the service at the end and the staff was very politeWe ordered thalis but I couldnt finish the rice, in fact I didnt even touch the bowl so we asked them to pack it. They packed some sambhar and chutney along with the rice just to make it a complete food..I liked the place. Somehow my husband gets the same table whenever he visits and we told the staff to change it next time 😜
Just Ok. A bit expensive for South Indian food when we have options like Udpi, Karnataka, Sarvana Bhawan etc
Fantastic place for dining. good food, great ambiance. courteous service.
Good options are available here to dine in. Really liked the ambience and hospitality by the restaurent staff.
Good food, prompt service. Costlier than other frachises.
Nice staff and fast service apart from authentic taste of Sagar ratna..
This is a 5 star place for South Indian Vegetarian cuisine in Ashok Hotel premises at Chanakyapuri. Their entrance is from the side adjacent to Mercedes Benz Showroom. There menu is quite extensive and their service excellent. The restaurant has taken a toll due to the pandemic. But they will surely rebound. We thouroughly enjoyed their excellent fare. The sambar, the chutneys, the variety of dosa, vadas, idlis are delectable. Please take note that it is very difficult to get inside parking and one needs to park outside.
This outlet of Sagar Ratna is in ITDC premium hotel ‘The Ashok’. Naturally it is more expensive that normal outlets. Inside the ambiance is good with lot of wood work giving it traditional touch. Service is good. Food is like real South Indian. Spacious with open space and distance between tables. Parking is available.
Taste the real Sagar Ratna here. Nice ambience. Loved it
Amazing place to have authentic veg south Indian food. Ambiance is awesome and staff are great.
An all time favourite for South Indian food . The Dahi vada and the tutti frutti, are killer. A must go
Good Dosas and South Indian Thali served on Banana leaves!!

Loved the dishes. We had veg briyani, tomato rice and puliyogare. Awesome taste and worth for the money. Best place to experience south indian cusines
Loved the Ghee roast garlic pepper dosa ..Awesome 👍👍
Excellent quality sumptuous south indian veg food. Hospitable staff.
Good place for south indian food. Nice seating arrangement .. Parking very convenient.
Nice ambience. reasonable south indian food,
Lovely food, safer safe place with proper Social Distance protocol being followed.
Best Sagar Ratna in North India. Most authentic
Food: Started with some Rawa Idlis which were made well and differently from what I have grown up eating. I enjoyed my Chettinad Masala Dosa very much and thought their special garlic dosa was the best Dosa Ive ever eaten. They also make their sambar very well and it isnt too watery like it is in many restaurants. I would say that the size of the Dosas were good and they had just the right amount of crispiness. I was also glad to see that they were not stingy with how much Aloo and Sambar they give you.Ambience: It was inconsistent. In some areas it was nice with the different designs and paintings but then in some areas it had cheap looking pictures of food. For a highly regarded restaurant in the middle of Delhi and the Ashoka Hotel, I would expect better. The bathrooms were not the best either.Service: The service was excellent and they were very caring. The food came very fast and the waiters were very quick to take orders and took the initiative to change your Sambar any time they thought yours may have gone cold.Price: A bit on the higher side which was fine given the quality of food. I would then expect the Ambience to match, however.
If you want to have costliest south Indian food in Delhi, look no further. The food tastes the same as other outlets spread across Delhi at less than half the price. The service is quick for such a huge place. Reservations a must for Sunday afternoon as waiting times are high especially for large groups. From dahi vada to poppadam to Dosa -- all are good.
Excellent food. Good decor amd ambience
Good place with good ambience. But food was average quality only
Good calm vegetarian restaurant in a posh area. Rate is little high
Food not good and overall very expensive. Not worth
Super decor, excellent quality of food, good service
Rava dosa is simply superb
Lovely South Indian dishes. Quantity is the attraction. Taste is great too. Behaviour of staff is very courteous, and COVID related safety precautions are being taken.
The place offers Extensive South Indian Dishes to choose from, and enjoy it in an relaxing ambience
Costly and unhygienic. Saw mouse rolling around.
Top in quality n Service, will tike to visit again n again
Fairly priced my favourite South Indian joint
Great food..with peaceful ambience.
Only issue. they dont sanitise seats after people leaving. Most expensive sagar ratna in Delhi but ..youre in Hotel Ashoka... :)
Good old sagar ratna. It takes you back to 1990s kind of outlet. Good food at amazing price. Located inside Ashoka Hotel hence convinent parking. Good food with unlimited supply of coconut chutney. Clean washroom. Quick delivery of food. Amazing sweet paan available at Rs 35/-
A good dining place with family. Enjoy the royalty of ashoka and Delhis lutiyan zone.
One of the oldest branch of sagar ratna with consistent food taste and quality. I am a regular visitor to sagar ratna and the menu has not changed since ages and neither the taste.must try dishes would be butter masala dosa, upma, dahi vada, rasam papad, poori bhaji and last if sweet fan then badam burfi.. in drinks menu they could improve as lemonade is never made upto the expectations
Sagar ratna in 5 star hotel. Crowd is good enough. Ashoka hotel is a place to visit. Food is average as other outlets.
Rates are high as compared to other branches of Sagar Ratna may be because of the location. This is inside Ashoka Hotel. Good food and decent ambience.
Amazing experience we got!! The paper dosa, yummy 😋! I like south Indian but this was more than that! Im writing this from my heart ❤️!! Thank you Sagar Ratna for giving me such an experience! Like it a ton!!!!! Hope you all will be visiting Sagar Ratna after my records!! ENJOY IT!!
Authentic South Indian Food. Crispy & yummy. Open large Space, Quick delivery & knowledgeable, helpful waiters plus Parking is also available. Only problem its too crowded on weekends & bit pricey being situated in ITDC Ashoka
Great food . Very authentic
Consistent quality and affordable pricing for the ambience...
Excellent location. Prices are foe location not for menu and preparations.
Excellent taste indeed !!Uttapam ordered was perfect in taste and expectations !!
Very nice ambience, courteous staff, unmatched service. Very good quality food. one of few places I get appam. The name says it all
The best south indian cuisine u wud ever had at any place or even any other outlet of the same. A little or stay double the price u pay at other otlets of sagar ratna.
Food was very good dahi vara was axcilent. Sarvice was very good. This time we got table without reservation I like every thing
This is amazing restaurant especially for south indian food. The food quality is amazing loved the chutneys and good staff
This is where we had three glorified high net worth coffees worth ~INR750.PARKING WAS CHARGEABLE. NO DIRECT ENTRANCE INTO ASHOKA. THIS IS BACK ENTRANCE SIDE. IT DOES NOT EVEN MAKE YOU ENTER THE HOTEL IT IS JUST IN THE OUTSIDE VICINITY OF THE HOTEL THAT SAGAR RATNA IS THUGGING US WITH SUCH A RATE FOR 3 COFFEES. NONE THE LESS I KNEW THIS RATE AND ORDERED AS MY NORMAL ORDERS IN OTHER SAGAR RATNAS THIS WAS MIND BOGGLING AND NUMBER CRUNCHING EXERCISE WHEN I HAPPEN TO SEE THE BILL.I HAPPEN TO AVOID THE BILL FOR 3 COFFEES but THIS WAS PURE OFFENSE TO A CUSTOMER.ACCEPTED YOU CHARGED ME A BOMB BUT ATLEAST YOU COULD HAVE PROVIDED ME THAT AMBIENCE. THE AMBIENCE OF THE PLACE WAS LIKE THAT OF FISH MARKET. UNLIMITED SOUND AND NOISE OF SHIFTING TABLES AND UTENSILS. I HAD TO CHANGE MY TABLE THRICE FOR HABING A PROPER SPACE FOR SOME CONVERSATION.I WOULD HAD A CUP OF COFFEE IN THE ASHOKA MAIN RESTAURANT AND I WOULD HABE PAID THE SAME BUT ATLEAST I WOULD HAVE GOT THE SILENCE AND AMBIENCE AND MOST OF ALL GOOD COFFEE AND IN A PROPER CUP. I THANK GOD THAT I DID NOT ORDER OTHER THINGS JUST AS APPETIZERS IN BETWEEN MY MEETING OTHERWISE I WOULD BE PAYING 2500+ FOR MY NORMAL COFFEE AND SNACK.ABSOLUTELY A NO GO.PLEASE TAKE MY ADVICE THIS IS AN ABSOLUTELY WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME PLACE. DO NOT...I REPEAT DO NOT GO THIS PLACE. ALL YOU WILL HEAR ARE THE NOISES OF CUTLERY CLINGING AND PEOPLE HAVING UNLTD CHATS IN LOUD NOISE WITH ABSOLUTELY NO SPACE IN BETWEEN THE TABLES.IN THIS PRICE + A BIT MORE FOR THE AMBIENCE YOU CAN BETTER HAVE A FINE DINE EXPERIENCE.PLEASE AVOID
A cozy restaurant in ASHOKA HOTEL,NEWDELHI serving piping and delicious south indian dishes.
Staff behaviour nice
Love the place and the staff is helpful and follow all the covid 19 protocols.
Sabji.. Dal very bad.. Quality..
