Calm cool quiet ambience in the middle of the woods.. definitely a premium experience but its not situated close to the munnar town. Would definitely reccomend for others willing to go little further from town and have isolated stay. Good quality restaurant. Roads arent of great condition to the spot.

This beautiful resort in chikkakanal munnar is a hidden gem. With beautiful location looking over the vailleys and lake from your window, clouds at a eyeful distance from your room, is an amazing feeling. Staff is very courteous and polite. Food is great. Only problem is distance from munnar and approach is open from 7am to 6 pm only. WiFi signals need to improve a lot.

Excellent. Best thing is service and attitude of people. View from our room was excellent. Food was excellent. 100 out of 100. Would like to go there second time. Please note, it is 22 km from munnar town and you must have valley view room to enjoy your stay. Rooms other than valley view room has view of some building, so not advisable and boring to stay there. You need, minimum 2 nights and 3 days to enjoy your stay.

The hotel is located around 20 Km from the main city but has great scenic view from the property. The hotel has its own private park and also a view point zone. They also arrange for born fire and live DJ for guests. The restaurant service is slow (other than the buffet) but it is worth waiting as the food is delicious. Rooms are neat and clean. All the staff members are very cooperative. Overall we had a great experience @ Fort Munnar.

We had our 1st anniversary road trip to Kerala covering Wayanad, Kappad, Alleppey and Munnar with total 5 properties to stay at.Fort Munnar was one of the best among all in terms of hospitality. Their staff is very friendly and polite. Food is excellently delicious and they are always ready to go beyond their limitations to deliver the best customer experience. Very privileged to have stayed in their property. The view from the room is so mesmerising. If you are planning Munnar, do stay at Fort Munnar. It is very conveniently located and very close by to Sterling & Club Mahindra.

We had fun at Hotel Fort Munnar for two lovely days it was the best living experience out of all we had lived in hotel till now for us. Lovely atmosphere of the hotel made us so exciting to stay, out view of the hotel was very beautiful nicely made infrastructure of the hotel building was the beauty of this hotel place. The wide and huge open space front side of the hotel they have maintained nice amenities in it beautiful clean garden children playing area as well as exciting fountain show. Great Rooms we had allotted it was very specious and clean nice decorated wall painting the best cleaning of room totally relaxing sleeping quality made our stay beautiful. Hotel ground staff were co operative and helpful too.

Bit far from main city (~35 km) and the taxis will charge u a bomb but the drive is full of scenic beauty. The hotel has upgraded my room to a suite which was a bonus. The room was kind of one BHK with all modern amenities. The front line staff were courteous and helpful. The only complain from them was only buffet was served on dinner and due to overcrowd, the dinner was served late.

A fort shaped resort in munnar .which is well maintained and provide good service to the customers.as Munnar is a lovely area of Kerala’s Western Ghats that is filled with green hills, valleys, forests and tea plantations. The magic of Munnar begins much before you reach the little hill town. The drive is exciting what with the road winding around hillsides with tea estates on either side and stunning views beyond. Once here, visitors can engage in plenty of exciting activities right from trekking in the tea gardens, enjoying a game of giant chess or Putt Putt golf, reviving your senses with an Ayurvedic massage at the Svaastha spa, or going on a jeep safari or a wild Chinnar tour. Or just relax and let the mountain air soothe, relax and rejuvenate you while you enjoy scrumptious Kerala delicacies.

Very nice hotel, but 20 kms away from Munnar town. Excellent location, very courteous service, good food. But price tag for food is very high. Rooms are very clean, well maintained. Will surely recommend. Good Value for the money.

Place is very good for stay..1hr from munnar city.. currently the roads are very bad as its under maintenance.View from hotel is too good.Near by one major waterfall site is available.Breafastvis also good.If someone is looking for pure veg then a nearby restaurant is available.one good Kerala ayurvedic massage center is also available.

The stay was awesome. The fort the ambience and the service were all very good . The breakfast was great which was complimentary. But the taste of food served during the lunch and dinner were not good which excessive price.

Overall experience is good. Nice location and views. Slightly off Munnar. The only problem is the connecting road from Munnar which is closed from 7 30 AM to 6 PM. The bonfire setup at night time is awesome. Overall a nice and pleasant stay.

The name has it all... The exterior is just like a mini fort but in white :) The breakfast is good and the welcome drink is awesome. All of the staff is polite and helpful. Do check at the reception how to cover most tourist points as they have chalked it out quite well. Try to get the rooms on top floor and you can be assured of sipping your morning tea/coffee in an amazing view through the window.

This hotel is 20 Kms ahead of Munnar. The route is very beautiful though but if you expect to see things in Munnar, good amount of travel time is required. The exact location of this hotel is Chinnakanal. Views and scenery around the route will make you visit this place again and again. The hotel has its own cardamom garden and processing unit. A visit there is quite interesting. Dont forget to attend the cultural program of Kathakali and kalaripayattu performed every evening from 5 pm to 8 pm near the hotel.

In one word, Superb !!!. They are good in all areas. Rooms, food and service all are good. There is noting to say bad for Fort Munnar. Specialy I Liked this hotel compared to other one. I stay here for 2 days and it is very good stay for me.

Really loved the hotel and quality of services. The only reason behind the 2 star rating is the quality of food and the hefty restaurant price tag (Im okay with the prices, provided the quality is up to the mark). The breakfast is great, but the other items are just awful with an enormous price tag (for example, ₹350 for an awful Butter Chicken Masala). Ive had the same thing outside at ₹200 which tastes much better. I stayed there for 3 nights, so Im giving this review after quite a lot of orders (more than 20 dishes for 3 adults). Its not just one item thats faulty, but the entire restaurant. Id even say that I feel a bit cheated after paying almost 6k for the restaurant orders alone (only dinner and lunch, breakfast was complimentary) that mostly tasted awful and even had us sick one time. The only reason why Id refrain from boarding this hotel again while visiting Munnar would be the restaurant and quality of food.

Excellent service, location and staffOn our visit to Munnar, we booked this place almost 30 minutes before we checked in. Thanks to OYO rooms for that. Located almost 20 kms from Munnar town and near Iddukki, the roads leading to this hotel are not really good.However once you reach this place, it is a charm in its own majesty. A big parking area with mini Fort like building welcomes you. And if that was not all, the staff are even more welcoming and ready to make your stay a memorable one.Special mention of the manager named Kiran and Sreejala at the reception is a must as they were the most congenial hosts in a hotel, I have ever been to. All possible efforts were made to give us the best that could be there. Be it guidance on what to visit, where to eat and what to avoid, everything was done as though we were family and absolutely keeping in mind what we would appreciate.We stayed in the Executice Suite room which has a sitting area attached to it. A balcony and a bath tub equipped washroom make it an even more luxurious proposition. The room also boasts of an breathtaking view of the Anayirankal Dam.They have a well maintained recreation facility on the first floor, a spa, a childrens play area and also arrange for camp-fire in the evenings. The lady masseuse, as described by my wife, is really good. I wish i could say the same about the male. he is inexperienced and below average. I would suggest the management to have a better guy to match the standards set by the lady. Though I wrote a pleasing review at the hotel as the guy was watching me write if and it would have appeared a bit too rude.The hotel has wifi only in the reception lobby and not in the rooms which may or may not be to the liking of many.The food was good, both in-room dining and the buffet. Considering there is nothing great available in the vicinity related to food, they are a bit on the pricier side. Fort Munnar is a good place to stay. They have very nice rooms with view. They have nice staff and services. They have gym, disco, massage centre and recreation room.Things to improve:1. Their food quality in the restaurant is not upto their star standard. It is little oily and irregularly textured and tasted.2. They should plan to have shelters for drivers.3. They should have WiFi connectivity for all the rooms. It is available only in lobby right now.Negative points:1. Mobile connectivity is zero to 10 % here. Even for emergency you cant call anyone.2. They are located 23 KMs from Munnar. With all the road construction, it approximately takes 1.5 to 2 hours to reach Munnar that too either before 7.30 or between 12.30 - 1.30 or in the evening.

Very calm and refreshing experience of staying in fort munnar. Hotel staff very courteous and supportive.Celebrated my daughters 10th birthday and hotel staff made very good decoration.

Lovely hotel lovely staff good food. we have dinner and breakfast at the restaurant. both are very well prepared with lots of varieties. WiFi is non existent in rooms and very choppy even in reception most times.

Good place.. we had a small stay for 2days and the hotel was decent enough.. enjoyed our stay there n the buffet was also good enough. We also enjoyed the discotheque very much. We went with a big group of family members of all age group and at the end everyone were happy.

The hotel is really good. it is at awesome place...we chose valley view room .....view from the room was mind blowing....hotel service...was very good ....the receptionist was nice one ....he was was cooperative..food was also very tasty....to was total value for money hotel...but I would also mention one thing although it was our mistake but felt it should be shared....we forget our ring in the room while check out....in the evening when we inquired it from the hotel... they said that it was there...they told me that they thoroughly checked it but couldnt find it....we put it along the bed side table....and. forget to wear it in the morning... actually it get fall behind the table or inside the bed...in the last they couldnt find that one...everything else apart was good but only this was our bad experience there.

Nice food with open dining

We had our company yearly trip to Munnar and stayed at Fort Munnar resort. The service was very nice and rooms were spacious and clean. We liked the food at the restaurant. They did a campfire for the guests and it was very nice to sit outside near the fire late in the night. I would recommend this resort.

The rooms are very spacious and breezy and super clean, ask for a room with Valley view its quite breathtaking especially in the morning. Staff is friendly and quick to respond. I would also recommend eating at the restaurant rather than outside as I found the food to be really good. Overall a superb experience and would recommend to all and personally would choose only this place again when I come back to Munnar.

I liked the outside view of the hotel and its unique design in the form of a fort. The kids area was also worth mentioning. The hotel staff were courteous and service was also good. I have given one star less just because we felt that the hotel was slightly overpriced in terms of the food and also the room interiors. Secondly the biggest issue was it didnt provide Wi-Fi facility which is again not acceptable. If someone wants to just chill without any connectivity this place is a good option

It is a forth converted hotel. The view and the property are priceless. The rooms are properly maintained. Not luxurious but damn good. Worth the money. The indoor games are a bit old and not really maintained. Food is decent. We didnt like starters much but the rest was good.

It is really superb hotel in Munnar. Trainee staffs are very helpful and always ready to beck and call.. Rooms are ready with bar, coff/tea, snacks with a Godrej mini vault. Scenic beauty from the hotel is picturesque. Complimentary Breakfast is superb which remember me in European hotel. At night BONFIRE is great. The disadvantages are WIFI only availble in the reception lobby and the Resturant dishes are not satisfactory in comparison with money. . The quantity and the quality is not up to the mark. Otherwise the accommodation is nice. MUST STAY.

On high altitude in munnar away 23 km from munnar town. .Service is good.Staff are cordial. Rooms are clean and big. Nicely maintained.Although high prices, Food quality was not good specially nonveg food. No restaurant near by. Not as big property as posted in photos.

Luxurious resort with excellent facilities like ayurvedic kerela spa, gym, a park, dj room, gaming room etc. Picturesque scene from rooms and cafe area is tremendous. The only con: restaurant is too expensive. The complementary breakfast was good though. Worth a visit.

Their service was absolutely brilliant. Went there during Holi. They helped us in getting the setup done for it. One of the best places to stay in Munnar. Dont give it a second thought, just go for it!

Food is not upto mark and is extremely over priced.. restaurant is small and staff is not so welcoming or pleasant.. property is good..good view from balcony..well accessible ..plenty of parking space..but I wont be giving another visit for the food and staff.

- Keep that GPS on. You will need the map to warn you of the sharp U turns. Thank me later.- When you are crossing Sterling and Club Mahindra, know youre almost there. I was warned of elephants at night - waited 4 nights, in vain.- Had one powercut, lasted a few minutes. Probably the hotel has a backup.- The buffet dinner was for ₹450/- and ₹650/- for veg and non-veg respectively. Good enough.- The food in the room makes more sense keeping in view the economics. Portion size is good enough for a man. Maybe share a little.- Loved the mountains behind and the garden in front. Amazing staff. (But no elephants yet).- Water takes a few minutes to heat up because the pipes are external and it IS cold. I wasnt prepared so layered up.- The room had heaters. Thankfully.Now for the bad.****NO WIFI****Intermittent data. connectivity. I used Jio. Had connectivity. But other guests had Airt@el and Vod@fone. They were NOT happy.Its cold. You need more than 1 cup of tea/coffee. You call the kitchen. And they bring exactly 2 sachets of coffee, milk powder, tea bags and sugar. AND YES, you HAVE TO TELL each item INDIVIDUALLY. Didnt make me feel happy. Am used to hotels that send me pots of tea and stuff. We do that at home.No wifi still.You will hate coming down the hills. Enjoy your stay. I did. :-)

Everything (location, valley view, children play area, staff, service, rooms, locality) is good except below 2 points.1. Roads to reach this hotel2. Breakfast option can be improved.For 31st the hotel organized couple of games with awards of hotel stay coupon. They akso have bonfire and music in the evening. Thier in house discothque was not operational. Rest if you compromise the bad road condition then this is best option in Munnar.

As the name itself says, the hotels outer look resembles FORT.... Excellent staff assistance, specially front office staff and Mr. Anands service in restaurant. But valley view was very disappointing... Even campfire could be more interesting.... other than these, we experienced peaceful stay.

Nice stay in fort munnar, its an old hotel with experienced staff. Its located 20 KM from Munnar city.Hotel staff is also helping specially Mr Kiran who helped us with good information on sight seeing etc.They also have nice garden as well for kids. Although few infra issues they need to address like old shower in the bathroom.They also offer good variety(north & south indian dishes) in the breakfast .My daughter also enjoyed the games available in activity room like carrom, TT, Chess etc.Overall good expereince with Fort Munnar.

First and foremost, I am enthralled by the courteous nature of the staff right from the house keeping folks, reception, gatekeeper, operations manager and also the general manager. We received a warm reception when we first entered the hotel. We stayed here for 4 nights and visited places in munnar. The food was really amazing. In fact, the chef had prepared kerala special food for us though it was not part of the buffet menu and it was a warm gesture from him. There were multiple other things where the staff had gone out of their way to make us feel more comfortable and it was a unique exprience. The only thing that Fort Munnar should improve is provision of wi-fi to rooms. I would strongly recommend Fort Munar for a comfortable stay and courteous nature of the staff.

The true Destination for mumnar lover. It feels like heaven on the earth. Feelings of the fort is true. It is situated on the perfect place. Best view from the fort. I would love to give 5 star.

1. A nice resort in a nice place very suitable for families and couples. 2. Very helpful staff especially Avilash & Kiran. They even packed up breakfast as we had to leave early due to road closing. Improvements1. The games in the game room were a little rickety and need maintenance. 2. Childrens park could be made a little more colourful. 3. Its a little weird that WiFi is available only in the lounge and not in the rooms while all other resorts that are nearby are offering WiFi in rooms.

Lovely view from the valley view rooms... we had a long drive to reach the hotel since the road was closed due to construction but the room service, food and the amenities in the property made up for it... they have a nice terrace open till 9pm where you can stargaze and the games room has table tennis, pool, carrom and chess.. the stay was amazing and the staff is very friendly... Mr Madan at the reception and the manager are both very courteous and will assist you... we had called for paneer butter masala and parathas and also had vegetable fried fingers... the food is also worth it... a bit far from Munnar sightseeing but great to kick back in nature and stay on the way from Munnar to Thekkady...

Hotel is 20 km from Munnar town but totally worth it. All the facilities provided by the hotel are excellent. There is a cultural center just 1 km from the hotel which is good as well. The rooms of the hotel are well made.
