Very Nice place, Amazing view Point, I booked Honeymoon cottage for 1 day. It is a big cottage with 2 rooms with a jacuzzi and 1 spa room and the bedroom is very big and with a nice viewpoint. About Food, Food is a little expensive, but 1 Fried Rice or Chicken Noodles can share for 2 persons. In my package Breakfast was included, and it was heavier and tasty. I just visited the Pool villa it is amazing but more expensive than the Honeymoon cottage, but the pool villa is bigger and more comfortable than the Honeymoon cottage.Only 1 Negative its only the Roadway to this resort, it is little difficult, but before reaching there if you call to the Resort they will send a driver to the main road, and he will take you and your family very safely to the resort without harm your vehicle.Better stay 2 days its worth, in my opinion, 1st day choose a medium cottage, and you can view all the resort and enjoy there, 2nd day choose the Pool villa, and you can utilize the pool villa in the entire day.For me, it was a nice experience, thank you to all the staff in spice tree for the great hospitality especially thanking Dhanish who takes me to the main road at the end of the day, so I was tension-free about the road.

Distinctive excellence down to the most trivial details. That is what makes SpiceTree stand apart from the rest. The moment you step foot at the resort, you are welcomed with warm smiles from each and every single staff, accompanied by the breathtaking views and weather of the Bison valley. In my personal opinion, I feel that there is nothing better to start off a day, than being greeted with ‘genuine’ smiles coming straight from the hearts of the staff; a precious little thing that is lacked by majority of the resorts globally.SpiceTree stands a couple of notches above, when they say that it’s a boutique resort. The property is constructed in such a way that Mother Nature was given paramount importance in all aspects. The food that was served to me during my stay at this resort was probably the freshest I’ve had in a considerably long time. Organically and sustainably grown local produce ranging from spices to meat to vegetables is cultivated in their own farms and the quality of this will truly be reflected once you order that favourite dish of yours from their menu.If you’re planning to take a break from the hectic city schedule, then look no further. This would definitely be that place where you can go into an incognito mode, whilst being immersed in the luxurious lap of Mother Earth. A thousand pictures or words won’t do the slightest of justice to the experience you amass from this exquisite jewel situated in God’s Own Country.Tip- Try booking their pool villa to get awestruck by the most picturesque view you can find in Munnar. Nothing can be more intoxicating for your soul than waking up to the mesmerising infinity pool overlooking the majestic lush-green bison valley hills accompanied by a hot cup of tea amidst the crisp weather.

Lets start with WOW... The place took me by surprise, the road trip to Spice Tree was eventful due to the condition of roads in Munnar but reaching the hotel and the customer service took away all that stress. A beautiful pool villa, super professional and friendly. The pool villa is situated at quite a distance from the main building and the walk down to the pool villa is beautiful and has plenty of spots for getting unique pictures. The housekeeping staff, restaurant staff and front desk and very responsive and provide realistic ETAs for any requests made. Overall the stay was filled with good moments complimented with good food and great ambience. Recommend a stay at Spice Tree anytime.

Perfect place for a holiday getaway. Turning the lush beauty of munnar into a beautiful resort like this is spectacular. The best hotel staff we have ever met, who showed that hospitality isnt a business, its a way of life, Athithi Devo Bhava. The ambience there is one of a kind. Specially during night times when theres fog, it feels like youre walking in the clouds. The food menu could use a little more work on it, the varieties were quite less. And the roads to the resort are quite small, with no shops available nearby. But the Super Staff of the resort were there for anything we needed. Spice Tree is absolutely an experience to remember.

Difficult roads often lead to beautiful places and this is true for Spicetree. Road construction by govt can give you an unpleasant experience. But once you reach their resort, your wry will turn to smile!♥️ Great place for honeymoon!Rooms are good and staffs are courteous. They wont disturb you at any time. You are free to be anywhere and so much peace in the middle of nature. From entry into their place till vacating, we were so much impressed with their hospitality. Prices of foods were on higher side, but still no compromise on quality. Maintenance of this place is excellent. Jacuzzi 😍 bath. You are awesome.Pool Villa for couples is an apt choice and you wont regret it ever. You have enough time for yourself and enjoy your time in leisure. Having come directly from two amazing hotels from an earlier part of our journey around South India, we were expecting standards somewhat lower near Munnar, where high standard hotel base seems rather scarce. On entering our room we discovered a gem. Its magic garden location, top quality rooms (the only hotel where literally everything worked well and was finished to Western high esthetic standard), nice spa and, above all, amazingly attentive staff made it our favourite hotel among the 5 hotels so far. Stayed here for 3 nights. We were a group of 2 couples (with 2 small boys aged 3 and 4).We checked in on 27.10.20 and checked out on 30.10.20.We arrived after a treacherous 5 hours hourney from Ernakulam, to lighten up our mood we had some french press coffee. For our first night we checked into classic room (302) with Jaccuzi that is just behind the reception, the room is cozy & comfy, well done, neatly designed. Our only issue was with the non-steady supply of hot water to fill the Jaccuzi. My friend checked into the pool villa (602), a gorgeous luxury cottage with Victorian Copper tub and a pool in the balcony facing the valley. The pool villa is equipped with its own geyser and hence has steady supply of hot water.2nd night we moved into the pool villa (602) and had an amazing time. We had a good time in the copper tub, so relaxing filling it with hot water mixed with Eucalyptus oil and some bath salts (provided FOC by the in house spa).3rd night we stayed at the honeymoon spa suite (501) which has both a victorian copper tub and a 2 person jaccuzi within the cottage, a swing in the balcony with a coffee table and chairs. Now coming to the real highlight was the food and the customer service. Exemplary performance by the restaurant manager Mr. Ratheesh, since only 2 or 3 rooms were occupied he would ask us what we prefer and prepare food accordingly. Very homely food, very well prepared, served hot and fresh. Very flavorful ghee roast, very well seasoned chicken dishes. He took exceptional care of us and attended to all our dietary needs with patience and a smile.Mr Vineeth (Head of operations) attended to our needs promptly, there were small mechanical and maintenance issues now and then (nothing serious), a single phone call and they would be fixed immediately and Mr Vineeth himself would be present with the technician. All in all, a good short break from the mundane urban life, but unless you have some activities planned, beyond 2 or 3 days would become boring.Id have taken 1 star off if not for the service of Mr. Ratheesh and Mr Vineeth.

Spice Tree is a hotel that is located about half an hour away from the Munnar city area. Although it is a beautiful location overlooking the valley it is rather secluded . Located in the Cardamom hills you will find spice gardens around here but no tea plantations . To see those you will have to drive to Munnar. The hotel has a nice restaurant, a coffee shop , a swimmimg pool and large comfortable rooms. The property is spread over different levels . Taking the steps and walking down to the lower level you will reach the spa with a yoga room where morning classes are held. There is also a lounge where one can relax , enjoy the valley view and have a drink sitting on the comfortable reclining chairs .Since the hotel is located so far away from the city it is not possible to more than one trip out and so there is every chance that you will be having your dinner there. Luckily the food served in the restaurant is pretty good. The service is good and the staff courteous .

You have to spend a lot of effort to get to this place. And the road there is unpleasant, rocky and treacherous, so you have to make sure to get a good driver. You have to spare3-4 hours on the road going up rocky mountains at least. The resort itself is amazing, the view is breathtaking, the service was excellent, food was pretty good. They have a tiny library cafe which i love. Is it worth the long trip up though? No, it’s not. Unless they fix the road..., you’re going to suffer rocking from side to side in your car, feeling nauseated and sick the entire journey. If you’re a brave soul and would still like to go there, make sure you stay more than 2 nights to make it worthwhile as there’s nothing else to do around...

Property is good and clean. It’s just that there is no network. Both the phone and TV will not work which is so annoying. Also, the room service is very slow. They only have South Indian channels, ideally they should have channels from each state, because people from different states visit Munnar. When we checked in the villa for a night, the pool was not clean, and we waited for so long to get into the pool, which in turn leads to wasting the whole night and paying so much for that!

This is a BEAUTIFUL and serene boutique hotel with max 16-20 rooms. Its built on the side of a steep hill. It is not meant for children below 10 years of age and old people with knee or heart problems. The pathways are extremely steep and narrow. The property is simply beautiful. The service is amazing. My wife and I went there for our 3rd marriage anniversary around end of Feb. I had requested housekeeping to do something special - and they did a splendid job of decorating our bed with TOWEL ART and flowers and leaves available in the property. They also gave us a cake (free that too). Only thing was I had asked for chocolate ( I was ready to pay for it too) but they gave us Vanilla. We hate vanilla. So we could not eat more than 30% of it.They also shifted us to a room with a better view on the 2nd day. It was a room right next to the kitchen and dining area. Amazing view it had of the valley. But issue was during the night there was lot of diffused light that permeated from outside, so that created some sleeplessness. This rrom was on the 1st floor behind the kitchen. Ask for this if you want a good view and can sleep in diffused light. On the evening of our 3rd day, they arranged for a beautiful candle light dinner in one of their two GAZEBOs. It was great to have so many candles shimmering in the dark night. Maybe a little bit of a safety hazard, but it was great. That tok they arranged it for free. We ordered our food and kept on waiting. After about 35 mins my wifes hunger pangs prompted me to go and find out what was going on. When I went I got to know that the kitchen had got overwhelmed with the guests in the dinning hall and they had completely forgotten us. But the food was good. There are a lot of foreign tourists who stay here. Almost 60%-70% guests are foreigners.Food is not very expensive. We spent around INR 5000 for 3 dinners, 2 lunches. Breakfasts was buffet style and included in the package. Lunch and dinner were a-la-carte. They also gave a us some cookies for our trip back. Which was very nice. They also have an activity room which has a swimming pool. My wife and I spent almost half a day there enjoying the cool breeze and the scenic hills. Also do go for the DOLMENS CAVE trek. Just a couple of kilometres from this property is this relic from 300BC. CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT!!! The trek can scare you a little. So wear TIGHT SPORTS SHOES. You will love this if you are a suckered for history. All in all an amazing place to spend time with your family. DONT BRING TODDLERS AND OLD PEOPLE WITH KNEW AND HEART PROBLEMS.
