I stayed with my family here for 4 nights. The staffs are courteous and genuine. The room was spacious and neat. Even the washroom was so clean and spacious. Everything was arranged so well that we were comfortable. Room service is remarkable. I dont know about the food as we never ate from their restaurant. This hotel is in a prime location so there are many shops nearby and can go to different view points from there. Overall we liked the stay there. Theres water heater, kettle,mini bar,tv and drinking water. I recommend this hotel.

It was an okay stay, hotel was clean, room & bathroom was spacious..Everything was sanitised so didnt have to worry about cleanliness. But i guess since Covid its not in its full glory yet. There was nothing in the activity room as mentioned, it was empty. For us the stay was nothing special or memorable. Food was average, a little bit expensive, hardly few items were available for dinner but even then the quality was not in par with the rate. I hope to go there and see it when its back to its full glory.

Elaborate setting and centrally located hotel. We had lunch at this place and the food was very tasty and fresh.The rates were reasonable, a bit on the higher side. But it doesnt matter because the place is a 5 star setting and you would enjoy the ambience.At a place like Munnar, you would expect the following things.1) Good food2) Neat ambience3) Expansive car park.4) Most importantly, a neat washroom.Silvertips has it all. A must place to visit when in Munnar.

While visiting Munnar, Silvertips was always our stop for a good breakfast or lunch. But during my last visit, I got an opportunity to stay at the hotel as well. We had booked another place but upon checking in, didnt like the place and thankfully, Silvertips had rooms available. The staff is very polite and we got a good deal for a room as well. The place is absolutely high standard and right in the middle of Munnar town. Accessibility isnt an issue at all and the rooms are amazing. We got a room with a beautiful view overlooking a field and mountains in the distance. This is also the place where the entire cast and crew of the movie Chennai Express had stayed during their shoot in Munnar. Yes, Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone have stayed here and you can see some memorabilia in the second floor. If you are visiting Munnar, you can make the easy choice of staying here. Their movie themes restaurant serves some top notch dishes, do try out the pot roast if you are a non vegetarian. Overall best place to stay in Munnar with friends or family.

It seems to be not a resort but just a hotel. The restaurant is not good. Rooms are ok but bathrooms and toilet are conjusting and not having enough space. The restaurant will definitely disappoint you. When I selected bufet nonveg dinner they served only one item, fish chilly, as non veg and took heavy price for the bufet. Room service and house keeping is avarage.

Food was good but waited around 40 minutes. Need to serve more quickly. 40 minutes is a lot of time and in place like munnar, there are so many tourists coming in and out.

I tried Buffet dinner which was absolutely fantastic. I regret for not staying in this hotel. The white salad had pineapple in it and the taste of which is mind blowing. The pakoras, Gobi Manchurian gravy, Panner butter masala were delicious too. Singapore noodles also had pineapple in it which was also mouth watering. The Veg Pulao had a mild saffron flavour which was just amazing. Tangdi Kebab also was good. The Staff Mr.Raju was very polite and friendly. The next time I visit will be definitely staying here.

Had a nice stay. Rooms were pretty nice, clean and average looking. Good experience with the Hotel staff. Cleaning staffs were there always, when we needed.Now the negatives Ive experienced, Frequent power cuts, backup power will get activated in 1 min or less.Not a lot of options to choose for the buffet breakfast. Atleast they couldve included some non-veg options.Not the best view you are getting from the balcony.Overall good Experience with silver tips.

Very convenient location. Service is good. Rooms are spacious for two people but for 3 it is a bit cramped but can be managed.Breakfast has a good variety.Only issue i found was the sound proofing in the room. Loudspeaker blaring from the village nearby is easily audible. So is sound from above.

I am at a loss to work out how this hotel is scored so well. The reception staff were nice and thats the most positive thing I can sayThe hotel floors are all open from the second floor, so its layers of balconies for several floors meaning it looks like a prison and sound travels from all floors.Add a large group of kids all excited to be away from home, all making huge amounts of noise and its a recipe for noise at levels that make rest or sleep impossible.That might be forgivable if it was a one off and they learnt from it, but a run back through other reviews reveals this had happened before. A request to speak to the manager the next morning revealed a couldnt care less attitude with the excuse that it wasnt their fault. If its happened before and you dont learn the lessons then it is your fault.Dinner in the restaurant was not a great experience. Breakfast was okay. The restaurant staff werent very helpful or attentive.I cant find anything to recommend this hotel. I think that our driver preferred to sleep in his car rather than use the hotels drivers accommodation says if all really!

Super Amenities.. every floor is based in a cinema theme..Staffs are so friendly and helpful.We can see the making history ofmany famous movies like Life of pie as those film makers were stayed at Silver Tips..

Had a pleasant stay. Rooms sizes reasonably good. Pretty much clean and quit. A theme based rooms gave a nice experience to look out. In house restaurant is quite tasty but bit costly though. Staffs are nice.

A very good hotel in munnar. Located just before munnar town, the hotel has good parking space available and a great view of the town. The staff is very courteous and attends to every query asked with a pleasant smile. The rooms are well serviced and each has a balcony overlooking the town. The food from the restaurant is tasty and has a lot of varieties but is priced on the higher side. This hotel is a themed one with lots of posters and pictures on the hallways and rooms.TL:DR, A themed hotel located at the entry of Munnar town with really good ambience, awesome service and rooms, pretty good restaurant.

Good food.. never stayed though

The best North Indian food I have had in and around Kochi. The restaurant is nicely set up and have good intereriors. It was quite quiet when we went there, at around 5 PM. We ordered Paneer Pasanda and Dal Makhani and they both were delicious. In breads, we ordered Laccha Paranthas and they were of the best I have ever had, trust me. The staff was very good. They care about the environment and dont serve bottled water and provide water from in house RO. They also feature separate kitchen for Vegetarian and Non Vegetarian food so thats a plus point for people who eat Vegetarian food. Must visit place for some nice dinner / lunch. The prices are moderate as well.

This is a must try restaurant. It is located inside the Silver Tips Hotel. We ordered Kozhi varutharacha curry chicken, palak paneer, meen peera kizhi, veg. Biriyani rice,chappathy and Kerala papadan. All dishes were simply divine. The meen peera kizhi is a must try very distinctive taste. The ambience has a traditional look to it with photos of film stars of bygone days. Service was superb. Prices are very reasonable. The best restaurant in Munnar. Highly recommended.

Just visited the place.. All the interiors are so exciting and impressing.. Dont know much about the rooms..So depressed to know that, they were not serving breakfast for those who coming from outside.. Thats all.. Otherwise cool place.. ✌

Superb hotel with the wonderful seanery surrounding the hotel. The tea estates and football ground nearby gives great view from the hotel balcony. The rooms are great, we paid 3500 for room in June. Parking is limited comparing to the rooms available. The buffet breakfast is good. You will enjoy the stay, except people like us who hate movies would see movie posters all around the hotel. The projector in the entrance is impressive.

Excellent food. We had been here for lunch and buffet was excellent. We had vegetarian food. There is also choice for non vegetarians. They have soup, starters, rice, roti and side dish. Ample parking space. Located in city center.

Luxury Hotel at prime location. The stay was very pleasant and staff was courteous. They give us good discount and premium room at normal price. Breakfast buffet was excellent with wide variety of food.

Went here for IV. The hotel is Bollywood themed and has really really great rooms mostly each with a movie theme. Rooms are excellent, feels less like a hotel and more like home. View from the balcony is absolutely stunning and there is a lot to see here. Celebs have made their stay here and there are autographed bats of cricketets as well as costumes of film stars displayed. By far the best hotel i have stayed in. Befitting for a place like Munnar.

A well built hotel in the heart of Munnar nestled among the tea gardens. The staff was very professional, polite and helpful. The whole hotel is themed on films with every room themed on a movie. Posters, framed photos , paintings of movies, filmstars, directors etc. adorn the walls of rooms and the hotel. They provide a walking tour in the early morning around the tea gardens and the village which was quite nice. The breakfast was delicious as well.

We loved our stay at Silver tips. The check in process was quite fast. The rooms are beautiful and clean. The view from the balcony was also very green and pleasant. The idea of movie based rooms is very unique. The staffs were polite and helpful. The food at Mayabazaar restaurant was also very tasty. Overall a fantastic experience.

We went to silver tips for dinner buffet. Very good place for vegetarian people. Food was of good taste. Price was okay. Nonveg variety is limited but Tasty. The desert was very good. Ambience was excellent. Fair amount of car parking available.Staff were very cooperative.I have deducted one star for absence of non veg food variety.

One of the best hotel to stay in Munnar. Right from my check in to check out the guest relation officer was very generous & kind. Rooms were neat, clean & spacious. The property was earlier a movie theatre. Every room has a movie theme. Good thought. Bathrooms were maintained properly. The balcony in my room directly gave the hill view which was a treat to the eyes. Breakfast had a good spread but the taste was missing. Food rate is on higher side so its better to walk out to Mahaveer hotel just opposite the hotel or into the town to munch in Saravana Bhavan or rapsy restaurant. Special thanks to goibibo for the discount I got. I will give my first preference to silver tips during my next visit.

Hotel is very good and located at a very good place, you can enjoy the beauty of nature from your room. The only downside is that the housekeeping here is not good. Instead of changing bedsheet etc. They mostly rearrange the same, until told to replace it completely.

Location is very good in Munnar town with good accessibility to all things. Especially helpful for families visiting with children. since this was a movie themed hotel, kids had fun exploring all photos in different floors. Restaurant MayaBazar ( named after a super hit telugu movie) had good variety of food and taste is good. Deepika Padukone and Sharukhs dresses from Chennai express were showcased and was a good attraction.

I wanted Valley view rooms so I have booked Superior rooms.Hair driers are also available in bathroom.Hot water is available.Complimentary breakfast is good.The Hotel Restaurant, its ambience and food is good.Cons : When we open the balcony, even though the view is good lot of traffic noise is coming.Hot water is available only in the morning (6:00 am to 10:00 am) and in the evening (6:00 pm to 10:00 pm).Room is not having AC, but its not required also in the weather like Munnar.

Its really a great place to reside in Munnar.. Its a quite and serene place. When I visited this place, I was surprised to see the amazing theme set up the creator of this hotel.. Its totally a cinema based project.. Many actors, directors and many producers have resided here like Srk and Deepika Padukone during the shoot of ChennaiExpress movie and many more.. I loved this hotel..

Stayed at this hotel for two days while on a visit to Munnar....the staff were very polite and helpful....the rooms were clean and had a good view from the balcony...the hotel is in the heart of Munnar town and also has a decent restaurant... they serve buffet for breakfast and the spread is decent... over all had a pleasant stay at the hotel and would definitely recommended to people who are visiting Munnar on a holiday...

Recommended for family trips. Clean and spacious rooms. Decent food. Committed staffs, with a smiling face and always ready to help. Both lady staffs and male staffs were so friendly and hospitable.

A former cinema this hotel clutches at a shinier past. Poor facility information on arrival, highly disappointing food not helped by a no alcohol policy- just when you needed it to survive a night in hotel teaming with noisy children. Impossible to recommend this hotel.

Hotel located at the center of Munnar. Excellent location, excellent food, excellent amenities. The hotel manager is highly interactive and organised morning walk which was very refreshing. He also arranged a visit to one of the Hotel owners estate which was very enjoyable. Reached there late at night and was able to get room, thankfully.Its bollywood theme based. You can see great deal of info and pic with respect to Mughal E Azam. They calimed the cast to be here.Also my room had Ghajini movies cut out and poster. Comfort wise its one of the best in Munnar. I liked the view from Balcony, it was just blissful.

A little disappointed that the pool is cold (no heated pool). But, it has excellent ambience, wonderful pics and storyboards about the history of Bollywood and Munnar. Every floor and room are Bollywood themed.
