Best block to stay. Closest block to the class rooms,food court,gym,ground,kc.Except that care taker is an A..H*l*.

Nice hostel...... Easily accessible to all places in college

1.One of the best blocks in mit distance wise if you can live without an a/c which you can in odd sems then this may be best block for you.2.thers nothing better than living close to the college, food court, everything (yeah they are making one for 17, 16 etc blocks).3. Its true hostle life one can have open air late night talks, football, cricket in the lobby you cant have these in 16 or 17th block but it has it perks as well like slow moving fans, useless door locking etc

Rooms in this block are great. This block has an advantage over 16 or 17 block as it helps in social interaction with people. It has double and triple sharing room with common bathroom. Bathrooms are very clean and hygienic, and are cleaned on regular basis. Rooms are clean too and sweeper comes every alternative day for cleaning. The major advantage here is that unlike block 16, 17 or 18 block you dont have to walk a long way to academic blocks. This block is nearby all the amenities provided by the college.

Rooms are pretty good... Like very goodThey the attach bathroom which you cant find in 5 or 6 block.. but there is a lag in the social life of this block... Like there is no interaction of people in this block... Except of the few people youll make friends with... Otherwise everything is good.. it has a night canteen... And 1 more drawback is that you have to climb like a mountain to attend your classes... As for (16 September 2017)

Old hostel styled blocks, with a lush, green field in between, surrounded by the block on all 4 sides. Common washrooms. Well ventilated rooms. Boys only. Best location for the hostel, but not for the amenities like block 16 and 17.

Best hostel 1st year double common...very good care_taker friendly nature...The nearest mess is aditiya and best quality ...Its very near to all academic block...

Arre this is the block where magic happens and friendships are created for life . Also the previous occupant does not flush the public bathroom after using it so best of luck with that.

This block is one of the best boys hostels in MIT, in terms of its location. Manipal Stores, Kamath Circle, Food Court and Sindhi mess are located in a radius of 50 meters. It is the nearest boys hostel to the academic area as well. It has got Triple and Double sharing rooms and a couple of single rooms as well. Aditya mess is inside the campus of 5th and 6th block, which is another plus point. The structure of the block is such that it allows for flow of air from all the directions. The hostel fee is low because of common bathrooms. In short, its a great block to live in.
