Block 9 is one of the 23 Hostel Blocks in Manipal Institute of Technology. Its located adjacent to the MIT Recreation Area and the Annapoorna Mess and opposite to the MIT Athletics Ground. The hostel has only Double attached rooms in it. The hostel is completely non-AC

Lived 2yrs of my life here (could be 3yrs but thanks corona). According to me its the best block for boys. Only thing to consider is KC is a bit distant.PS - if youre not coming back to hostel for whatever reason then do the biometric and then sneak out( its very easy) else the block caretaker will annoy you unnecessarily

Students are very chill and cooperative

The worst block ever, you find cockroaches, centipede, and you do anything but the mosquitos never go.The last time maintenance was done maybe in ages. Pest control! Whats that? And cleanliness thats just not something which can be found

A good hostel if you are joining MIT, Manipal. This hostel has rooms which is shared by 2 occupants and has an attached washroom. It doesnt have an AC.

Its a good hostel with double attached rooms..but non AC...but nearer to the play grounds..and comfortable rooms..

One of the oldest blocks in Manipal Institute of Technology.The ground floor reeks of foul smell and the place is in dying need of a renovation.Adding to that, the Night Canteen is hardly catering to the timings needed by the night owls at the hostel.Hot water isnt available 24/7 and the insects and mammals that include mosquitoes, flies and bats are an absolute nightmare.

Block IX is one of the best blocks in MIT . Its not far off from other important places such as gyms , annapoorna mess or even ab 1-5 blocks. It facilitates student interactions and the block wardens are pretty considerate . It has a night canteen as well as a small shop near its main entrance .

The perfect blend of privacy, and the community togetherness feel of hostels. Great atmosphere and chill caretakers. You might see sparrows on the third and fourth floor, which is great if you like their chirping.

This block has good rooms with fixed beds and fixed cupboards as well as an attached washroom. The rooms on the 3rd floor are hot since it is the top floor. The hostel is home like with daily laundry facilities. Though it is at 1km from the academic campus, this block is preferred due to its proximity to the Annapoorna Mess

Decent washrooms, clean rooms, but kinda small beds, and must attached. Its gets really hot during summer unless youre on the right part of the block to get the right amount of ventilation

The rooms are spacious enough compared to.other blocks . But there is only one fan at the centre so cooling in the room is pretty bad unless you buy your own cooler . The sweeper doesnt really come often they will come weekly once to clean so garbage inside your own would be pretty common . Theres a small shop outside the block that serves breakfast if you miss so thats a plus point . The number is rooms in this hostel is huge .Its an okayish hostel .

Damn good place to dwell in if the weather is not too hot. Best place for odd semesters. Caretakers are pretty chilled and hardly any issues.

Really good boys hostel for 2nd year onward students within the MIT campus. Spent 2.5 years here. All rooms are double sharing with attached bathrooms that are maintained well. The furniture is not fancy but utilitarian. The rooms are spacious and well ventilated, but the corridors are not so airy. Try to avoid the 3rd floor as it gets quite hot during the summer semester. Also the seven rooms in the basement are not what you want to be in. The hostel is right next to the Annapoorna mess which is a big plus point. The block also has a night canteen.

I lived here for an entire year... During the 3rd semester I was living on the 3rd floor and the conditions were bad... WiFi used to be down till all other people were asleep... The cleaners came very erratically... 4th semester I shifted to the 1st floor and the WiFi situation improved but the cleaning was still not at all regular... The only saving grace was that the plumbing and electricity supply were never down

I have been living in 9th block for more than a year.Initially,I thought where I have come as the rooms were not well-furnished since I was used to staying in luxurious apartments.But after spending month here,I just fell in love with the hostel.The facilities are more than sufficient and its with respect to a student life.You will make a lot of friends and everlasting memories.It has got a night-canteen at the ground floor and a really good Lush-green sports ground just in opposite of the hostel .It has also got a mess named annapoorna beside it and you will just love the location.In this hostel ,you will find all type of students from average to brilliant in every respect. Trust me, it will make you more social and will improve your social skills.You would feel the change inside you and you will definitely be the best version of yourself .It is located in the heart of the Manipal and you can enjoy feel the nature from your window.Though fan will be more than sufficient but on the top floor,you will feel a bit more heat .So,you can either get a Table fan or the cooler.But if you are on the ground floor,you dont need anything.The rooms are well-furnished and has two Almirahs located at the corner. All the rooms are double-attached and non-ac.The fees for one year including both hostel and mess is approximately 98000.So ,I would definitely recommend you this hostel and in the first year,you cant get this hostel.From second year onwards ,youcan opt for it.The location of academic building is also near this.

We cannot expect when it will rain. Better to carry an umbrella with u.

The rooms are very old design but full vantilated rooms and the WiFi is great in the hostel.

Its the best block in the campus if you live food.Thats it I summarized the whole thing in one line for you.Ok so what I mean by that is its right beside annapoorna mess.The washrooms are attached and super clean . theres no single seater room option all rooms are double seated. No common bathrooms as mentioned above.So all in all its really awesome block if you already have a buddy.

Part of one of the biggest hostel blocks in India, this is a bustling place full of engineers inside the Manipal Institute of Technology campus.With Food courts and football fields nearby, this place offers more options to those CS or Dota players nestled inside their rooms.

Block 9 is the best mens hostel block in my opinion. Especially for lazy, claustrophobic cyclists like me.

One of oldest hostels. ..behind it is the famous timmy annas shop...generations hav passed but the rooms r the same....ppl cum back still with their children n show them their rooms where they lived during their tyms ..:) :)

The rooms are Big in size but the ventilation is not very good as far as i am concerned, size of the bed is very narrow and you cant change the room orientation as the beds are attached to the walls and so is the case with study table.
