Delicious gelato and many choices available! Either served on a cone or in a cup with wafer. Flavors were delicious, especially the salted pistachio! We also tried milk chocolate, lemon, raspberry and sicilian almond. Pretty decoration and clean place !

This place is such a nice find. Beautiful place to walk in to and the service was great. Their new hires are very friendly! The Gelato was on the okay side, I have had better texture. Also quite pricy for the size.

Went their with my friends, had a bad experience, complained to the owner, he sounded sorry on the phone but the second he saw me in person, I guess he was disappointed because I was not white. His behavior changed and he was rude and tried to blame the problem on me. This place is racist and if you are brown, black, or group of minorities, avoid this place at all cost because they only treat Italians and white people with respect.the owner offered free ice cream as an apology on the phone, but when I actually went into the store, he made it sound like I was the problem by saying there is always two sides of the story while on the phone, he genuinely sounded sorry. All this only proves that he was only nice to me on call because he did not know my race. If you are not white, dont go there. There is a significant difference on how they treat white people vs. minorities.

Tried four flavour so far: honey and greek yoghurt, mascarpone and pistachio, hazelnut and tiramisu. They were all pretty good! The tiramisu even had actual tiramisu pieces inside, it worked well. Hazelnut was my fave for now :)

Best pistachio gelato I have ever tried in the Greater Montreal area so far! The other flavors I have tried are top-notch, creamy, deep in flavor and not cloyingly sweet. The waffer cone was fresh and yummy too. Service was 5-stars, staff was smiley and the gentleman welcoming guests even offered to watch over our bikes. In addition, the decor was cute and modern. Dolce & Santella is the best excuse to ride our bikes to Laval.

Incredible gelato. I had the Mascarpone- Pistachio and Coffee and both flavours were so deep and creamy but not too sweet. Just perfect. Great service as well. My only complaint is that I have just discovered them and they are closing December 31st for the season! (Understandably).. Its great that they are open for part of the winter and I look forward to March when they reopen for the spring :-). In the meantime I will make as many visits as possible before Dec 31st and urge you to do the same!

I had the hazelnut gelato and it was delicious. Creamy, very tasty but not too sweet. Very clean, follows the social distancing and takes all the step to keep both the employees and guests safe. Place is inviting, big windows to allow the natural sunlight in. Staff are very welcoming, kind and nice.

Top quality, great natural ingredients, HEAVENLY TASTE and fantastic customer service. I was served with a smile and offered to taste as many flavors as i wanted. It it cheap? No. Is it worth its price? ABSOLUTELY. Premium ingredients are expensive and they use a lot of them.Warmly recommended!😍😍😍

I dont really understand all the dithyrambic reviews here. The ice cream is not at all Italian Gelato. This has NOTHING in common.I really hope its not an italian owner, else I would highly recommend some places to visit in Italy...How can you sell Amarena gelato without cherries and only cheap syrup?The taste for both ice cream we took was very watery. So sad to leverage the italian language and wording for cheap marketing purpose...Hope we have real gelato soon around this place!

The ice cream was delicious however the customer experience leaves a lot to be desired. My son dropped his ice cream as soon as they gave it to him. Although it was his fault a nice gesture would have been for them to offer the new cup to him free of charge or at least at a discount...having a customer pay 12$ for one persons ice cream is a little unfair.

Ice cream is sooo far delicious in this place I feel like eating the real food, no too much cream, no too much sugar, soft taste, its just perfect. I had one of bluets, my favorite.

I have been to Dolce & Santella several times. Each time I was greeted and served like I was a regular. Sometimes it’s hard to always know which flavor to pick, but the staff is always happy to offer samples. One woman, who is likely the manager or owner, always seems to know what I like best. Thankfully they offer up to three flavors in their generous large cup. While the prices aren’t that of chain ice cream shops, it is well worth it once you taste the rich creamy flavors. Their gelato is simply the best you can have this side of the Atlantic.

Some very good gelato near our place. We brought home the Cheesecake, Salted Pistachio, Hazelnut and Chocolate flavours in takeout containers. Good, generous portions for a very decent price.Place is clean and all of the machines are on display. Everything is made in-house which is always appreciated.

Love their Gelato flavours! You can tell the staff are new (2 young teenagers), but they both had smiles and were very polite. When they were a little lost the owner (I am assuming) came in and helped them finish up the orders. I am definitely going back there for more!

I think it will be hard to do better on the grand Montreal region.First, the flavors. While you will find all the classics (Vanilla, Strawberry, chocolate), you will also find surprising one (Crème brûlé, almonds, Joie, etc.) all as good. Personally, Im dying for the sweet pistachio and the chocolate-azelnuts.Second, the service. Always super welcoming, always smiling, friendly owner and family!Third, the parking. Yep. In Montreal in many places parking is a challenge! Not there! (Will love a Tesla charger to be added 😁)Forth, the cleanness of the place. Seriously, cleaner than our hospitals! Always super comfortable to stay.Fifth, the options. If you are starving for something else, there is salty options, and awesome espressos.Last.... They project formula one Grand Prix... And yes, when they start racing at 1AM they open 30 minutes before so you dont miss the start!!!Seriously, rising the bar...

Amazing Gelato Spot, a touch of authentic gelato in Montreal. Ive had some of the best spots in Rome and Italy and this holds up! Also adding a modern spin on the flavors , it makes it a must try!

The gelato is very sweet but never overwhelming. The texture is very silky and all the flavours I tried tasted perfectly as if the flavours were the real desserts. My favourite flavour is the Tiramisu, definitely a must-have.

This is an excellent GELATO place beautiful atmosphere very friendly staff.Prices are very reasonable, way better than Le Paysane that are located in most shopping malls the texture is different.My favourite GELATO is BLACK CHERRY it’s to die for!!!Very good espresso too!!

My friend and I were very excited to try this new gelateria. When we walked in, we went to the bathroom before ordering and we were followed by the woman who was behind the counter. She told us that if we were not buying ice cream, we could not use their bathroom. Since the whole point of going there was to try the gelato and NOT just to use the facilities, my friend and I found this quite rude and insulting. Despite the bad first impression, the shop is very beautifully decorated and the gelato is fantastic.

Great look and gelato but service was eh eh the older woman who maybe is the manager or owner was giving me a bad vibe- my friend and i were uncomfortable given that when we walked in before eating our gelato we wanted to use the rest room and she literally chased us down saying we can only use the rest room if we are buying something. upon using the rest room we did make it very clear we werent decided on which flavour to get- so we told her to pass people infront of us and while we waited we went to the rest room.. very awkward and wouldnt go back theres tons of other ice cream stores lol it just put a damper on the tone

Home made gelato, home made EVERYTHING. So good.Right when I entered Dolce and Santella, I knew I was in for a treat. Immediately you can tell that whoever is owning and operating this place really pays attention to detail and is quality oriented. From the branded, modern lights all the way down to those beautiful blue and white epoxy floors.I ordered a panini Salsicca (home made Italian sausage). I had my choice of cheeses (Jabari) and garden veggies (mild red peppers,eggplant,lettuce and tomato). Also, I was served a great espresso allongé.Everything was home fresh and delicious and the people who worked here were friendly and attentive. I recommend it highly.

Excellent. Not pricey for what you got. We had 7 flavors between 4 people. We had milk chocolate, mascarpone e pistacchio, pistacchio sucree, tiramisu, dolce de leche, cheesecake and nocciola. All excellent. Delicate and creamy. Interior was as delicious as the gelato!!
