One of the best parks of greenery in central Kolkata for morning walk and free yoga classes. The park is very well maintained and has urinal facilities much needed for the diabetic elders and children. In the evening this is park for ladies and children. Men are not allowed but they can sit in the entry lawn which also has sitting arrangements. The second section of the park is open through out the day where local children play all types of outdoor sports. For the late comers a walk path is there for their morning and evening walks. The government of West Bengal allows the people of Hill area to set up a market for Wollen clothes from November to January in the style of Tibetian Market.

Formerly it was known as Wellington Square. Renamed as Raja Subodh Mullick Square. Once it was a camouflaged Bunker under a park used during WWII, later encroached by hooligans, vagabonds and homeless people. The bunker renovated and rebuilt as an underground reservoir for drinking water, a booster pumping station is built in the eastern flank of the park during Left Front regime. Now a favourite meeting point for agitators/protestors to start a rally from.

This is very important area. Centrally located and in front of this park the house of 1st Chief minister of west Bengal,Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy. In side the park on part is used for football play and outside this road is used by the morning walker. And other part is used as boxing ring and another part Id used for yoga. After football season the said part is used for create training. As the ground is big the political person used sometimes for big meetings not only now but also prior to independent, s of India.
