Historical and was built by the British, this is the oldest high court of India. The area is quite big. New annex building built later on are the centenary building and the sesquicentenary building (opposite to Netaji Indore stadium). Every thing is good apart from the lazy working culture. However, the Judges do their best in order to improve work culture.
Barun biswas always be Remembered .. Justice for women.. kamduni, kochbihar, malda. No court can give justice like God. He is watching everything.

#HeritageCalolkata# HighcourtFlowershow2020There was a flower exhibition in the garden of the High Court. Like every year, this year also the Calcutta High Court was decorated for 4-5 days at the flower fair. While the flower festival is being celebrated in different places of the city and suburbs during the winter season, flowers have also found a place in the courtyard of His Majestys High Court.Lawyers, ordinary people and employees of different ages were also seen to find peace in the vicinity of Dudand flowers only after coming out of the discussion of legal books.A few days ago, a flower exhibition was held at the Vidhan Sabha building next to it. Although this is my first experience of seeing the assembly flower show, this is my first experience of seeing the flower show of the High Court. There were snowballs, chrysanthemums of different colors,Dahlia, Xenia, Petunia, Marigold. The beauty of the flowers seemed to be further enhanced by the impeccable architectural background of the High Court. There is no place like Alipore Horticulture Garden for flower display in the High Court. Still, the flower display of the Calcutta High Court filled my mind. Not only flowers but also fruits were on display. There were bonsai trees filled with ripe oranges, bonsai trees filled with mangoes! There were many types of orchids along with other flowers. However, the orchids were not kept in the open field next to other flowers in the sun. Then they would become lifeless. Orchids need shade and low warmth for healthy growth. So the orchids were hung from the top with a cloth pendulum next to the porch of the High Court. Orchids do not need soil to grow. Occasionally spray water with coconut husk and charcoal in a well-ventilated container with the orchid hanging in it. It also collects water vapor from the air through orchid roots.
A more than a century old building. Gothic, victorian architecture.
