Service is good.Do not forget to leave tip as it is a good tradition for cabins and also because the revenue of these cabins are not so big as compared to modern cafes.

One of the best places to hang out the old calcutta style. I loved the cute small cabins in the extended part of the cafe, where u get a 100 per cent privacy. Yet what I felt let down was the food. Ordered a chicken Afghani which was ok-ish and a mutton cutlet that was bogus. Pocket pinch is amazing. That explained the quality. Overall an average experience. But what would pull us there again would be the beautiful old calcutta styled cabins. Anytime. 😍❤️

It is a perfect and pocket friendly place for small or medium gang of people, students to hangout with their friends as well as spend quality time with your beloved one. Few days back I had visited this place. It is located at Bhawanipur just beside Purna Cinama hall, near the petrol pump and just few minutes walking distance from Bhawanipur Police station.• Ambience of this place is very nice with beautiful decorations and also have old cabin style sitting arrangement.• This cabin is spacious and they have seating arrangement of more or less 60 people at once.• I had tried their Mutton Afgani along with paratha and Chicken Cutlet.• Mutton Afgani :- By looking the recommended items in review at verious places, I had tried Mutton Afgani. And the taste was just Fabulous. It had a large size mutton cutlet which tossed in spicy gravy with lots of vegetables. Cutlet was made by shredded mutton keema. And the gurnishing of the Plate was so good. Overall It was too much drooling and flavourful. Must try this.• Paratha : Along with Mutton Afgani I had tried Paratha. Their paratha was totally different from other restuarant. Paratha was totally fried in deep oil and large in size. It was so so soft and so tasty. Along with Afgani it was a perfect match.• Chicken Cutlet : As it is a famous cabin so I had also tried their Chicken Cutlet. The taste of Chicken Cutlet was awesome. It served with different things. Along with cutlet they served Mustard Sause and Papad . Mustard sauce was quite common with cutlet or fry but Papad with cutlet was different combination and it was not bad. It was good to have with cutlet.• Quantity and quality of each item was enough and upto the mark. Service is so fast and staffs are courteous and helped us to choose the right item. A very old & great food joint located just opposite to Indira Cinema Hall, Bhowanipore. Just a few minutes walking distance from Bhowanipore Police Station. One of the finest CABIN CAFES of Kolkata, running for over 50 years. The place has those old cabin style sitting arrangements and food served brings back the good old memories and the best part is all the dishes are available at such low price rate. Cost for two can be around 250-300Rs, in which you can get 2/3food dishes and 2cups of coffee/tea. Clean and well maintained too, till date. The place truly justifies the saying, Old is Gold.

Sangu Valley is among one of the oldest restaurants in Kolkata. Modernisation have not touched here yet. The restaurant is still furnished with old table and benches which definitely gives a nostalgic feeling. The prices of the dishes are very reasonable also the quality and quantity of the food are very good. I am a regular customer of Sangu Valley since 20 years as this place is very close to my residence. The taste have not changed yet. Everytime I visit I get the same taste as I got it in my childhood days. The resataurant staff has also not changed, they are the same since then. Mixed fried rice, Chilly chicken, Special fried rice, Chilly Pork, Fish Fry, Chicken Kabiraji are their best.

A great vintage restaurant if you want to relive the old Calcutta (not Kolkata) charm. This small but cozy restaurant offers mainly Chinese and Indian cuisine, which are quite tasty and comes with a relatively reasonable price tag. Service is also satisfactory. They also have a few cabins that provides a privacy from the usual crowd. They also provide home delivery service. The only con of this place is that they dont have Air Conditioning inside the restaurant. Overall quite enjoyable experience if you visit in seasons other than summer.

Fowl Cutlet at Sanguvally restaurant was a hot favourite of my generation. But times have changed. They still serve it but the new generation can choose from a wide variety of non vegetarian and vegetarian dishes from their menu. But so far the ambience is concerned the time stands still. It has not upgraded and looks shabby. On the positive side taste and quality of items have been maintained. Prices too have not gone through the roof. Give this a restaurant a try and enjoy a piece of the good old times.

The quality of food has dropped considerably over the last couple of years. Ive been a customer for over 6 years and always preferred chilli chicken from this place over others, but recently i noticed that it doesnt taste that great anymore, nor does the restaurant look and feel as hygienic as it used to be.

One of the renowned cabin restaurant of South Kolkata. I used to go this place quite often on my Asutosh College days. I still go to this place quite often. Foods are quite good. Behaviour of staffs are also good. But they dont accept any card or e-wallet. But you can order their food on Zomato.

Quaint. Has personal booths for at most four people. Humble service and Tasty, heartwarming food. Order something as simple as Fried Rice, Boneless Chilly Chicken and Firni and eat to your belly content with people you love and know that even a small tips and truthful appreciation is appreciated here.

Sangu Valley seems to have an excess amount of oil in their oil reserves. I ordered Chicken Kabiraji here and boy they had more oil in it than what the rest of the world may posses. I found it extremely ridiculous for the amount of oil they served in my dish, could have easily powered up 10 trucks for journey. Food here is actually good but the oil factor seems to be a problem.

This is one of the well known restaurant of Bhowanipore. It has been serving food at a reasonable rate for many years. It serves Indian as well as Chinese dishes. They have both veg and non-veg options on their menu. The food quality is healthy and you can order a take out as well. Though it must be said that the service is a bit slow as they do not have huge staff to take orders. One of my favourites from this resturant is the Chicken Afghani which is a unique combination of chicken cutlet served with curry on top. It is a must try if you are a meat lover.
