After covid it is worst...Recommended - if you love your money and time, visit else where like Lalit, ITC, Hayatt, etc but not this one...Food quality has degraded a lot... 🤮🤮🤢

I cant say enough good things about this hotel and its front desk manager Md. Ibrahim and few other staffs .They have done an amazing job from top to bottom. No detail has been overlooked. It is a testament to the fact that you can have a beautiful hotel in a beautiful location and still set yourself miles apart with an amazing staff and wonderful service. Form the moment we arrived, we were made to feel special. Everyone had a smile on their face and did everything they could to make us feel welcome. It felt like a small family.the Fresh Air on Ganges was so mind blowing could not get better anywhere else The rooms are comfortable and incredibly well designed.As I said, I cannot say enough and could go on forever. I am happy to go into much greater detail. But the bottom line - I recommend this hotel without reservation...to anyone...go as much as you possibly can.

Experience was amazing. My sister got engaged here. The arrangements were nice and the staff is hardworking too. The buffet was nice and food was great too. Restrooms were clean and properly sanitized. The view from the compass room was great!!! Overall experience was good.

Excellent hotel, is couple friendly too. Pricing is slightly on the premium side but is worth it. One of the downers is that outside food is not allowed, but then they have there own restaurant. If one decides to stay then book a room on any high floor facing the river, as the view is majestic.

This is totally pathetic service I get by your side this time. Food quality is pathetic and too much high rate deserving the quality. In the two days TV is not working after informing several time no solution from your end. Also there is no minibar as mentioned during booking. For every service I have to knock several times. Telephone is almost not working condition. Honestly this is the last time with floatel and also I recommended everyone for to not stay here. I am giving you only 1 star rating.

Nice place for reception and other party arrangements. Visited this place twice, once in a 31st gala night event, another was in a friends reception. The arrangements and the location is amazing. Food is really good and best part is view of Ganges. Definitely a must place to visit in any weekend also.

This is a awesome place for Small party(less than 25persons)private dinner, romantic dinner ... The restaurant bridge Is on the deck from where u can get a spectacular view of Howrah Bridge on one side and the second Hooghly bridge on the other side. The ambience with soft music and the view, the breeze will definitely give a experience to remember...

They deserve no Star instead of 4 Star hotel category.Room was not cleaned/sanitized at all and maintained very roughly.AC was not working properly and there was no ceiling/wall fan in room.Washroom was also untidy. Due to main water supply pipe damage (as they said), there was absolutely no availability of water in bathroom for more than five hours. After several time requests, they supplied us just a bucket of water.They gave us expired coffee pouches on tea table.Food was so much pathetic, just inedible, served in a cheap plastic tray as thali. They supplied bad quality local company drinking water.Electric wire unsafely opened into wardrobe.Overall the stay was too much pathetic. I have attached some pictures as per my review.

Whenever I have visited Kolkata, I have always got a room at Floatel because there is nothing more beautiful than looking at the water move before my eyes. Lately, the services have changed and the staff have become more efficient and responsive to the needs of the guests. Sumit Kohle attended me at all the times I needed something and it was, indeed, an enjoyable stay.

This was a truly great experience. The staff were polite and friendly, the room clean, tastefully furnished and pre-stocked with beverages, water and toiletries, and the food delicious and well-cooked. The view of the river from the bed was the cherry on top. My girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed the ambience of the place at such an affordable price.

This is the floating hotel cum restaurant in Kolkata. Small party arrangements are enough for this place. You can party in the open space on the ship deck. But I dont think this place is a comfortable for staying,it seemed to me.Your experience may be different.

Its good. But according to the price point its below average. If you can spend a bit of more money then you can have the river side rooms which has a very good view. Rooms are not so much clean, its OKish. But they can provide you early check in, not only this but also 3 hours ago. So this is a good point.All in all its good to spend a single night or some time. Its not good for long time stays.

I just want to bring this to everyones notice that after booking a sunset room from booking.com and while following up the same with the hotel plus a few queries, I had a terrible experience. The staff was extremely indifferent and didnt even reply to queries properly. Looks like he was irritated. Theres absolute lack of empathy which is not acceptable during covid times. It is weird staff behavior that compelled us to cancel the booking.

This Hotel is absolutely lovable for their staff. Let be the doormen/ security, or the front desk or housekeeping or F&B team, everyone were with a smile, always courteous and acknowledging us with greetings. A big salute to staff Sweety, who resolved our small issue during Room Service order and continuously greeted us with a smile. Another staff Chandradip ensured our Room Service order & absolute outstanding service by these guys!!! The hotel is going thru some renovation but there was no impact for us for staff smile. Our stay was absolutely memorable due to the services rendered by some of the outstanding staff in this Hotel!!!

Must visit once atleast.The crew members were supportive.But had to wait for 5 hours in the morning to get a check in. Which i think can be improved...no early check-ins were given.

A place that needs no introduction if you are a bengali from Calcutta. Has held fort on the banks of river Ganges and we wish it remains like that forever. Food, ambience, hospitality and stay are very good. Currently under renovation but soon it will regain back the old glory. A lovely place to visit for sure.

Dont bring your car to this hotel. They wont pay attention even if the cops lifts the car in front of their eyes.I had stayed for 1 night in this hotel. I had brought my car. The security said the parking is full and instructed me to park outside saying its their parking.After checking out, my car was nowhere to be seen. I asked the security guards and they said we cant take responsibility of the cars parked outside. The receptionist said that this is the first time its happened. She informed her colleagues or superior who taking their own time(30 to 45 minutes) called the police station and said the car wasnt with them. One of the staff said to accompany him and after walking for 5 minutes, i found my car in a lane with the number plate damaged. And when questioning him about the mistreatment and apathy, the person said to talk inside the hotel. Ignoring the staff, i left.

The rooms are pretty small. I mean you hardly have space to walk after a huge bed and a table chair. Though the view was good of Ganga river and bridge.One suggestion for people who are clostrophobic you may find it a bit difficult. Service is way down slow. Have a make a call thrice for one service. And in room dining menu is hugely overprice.

Worst buffet dinner ever I had. Probably the foods were leftover of other days. However, there was no choice other than buffet. So we had to go for that.In addition, the mocktail (with really disappointing taste) was served in a ordinary glass(the glasses was a free gift from a alcohol brand). The collection of beers are not satisfactory.Only the ambience was nice, which is due to the River Ganga. If someone wish to enjoy alcohol on river ganga then only he/she can go. Otherwise, definitely not recommended.

I have been in Floatel for 15 days back and truly it was a great experience at this property Rooms are very clean and same as per the image given in web. Very disappointed to visit floatel. Not upto the mark as per food quantity quantity and infrastructure as well. Stuffs dont know how to serve dishes. Served haphazardly. Served chiken hukka noodles when we asked for without chiken. Even They charged extra money wich not even ordered. Finally they rectified it but total mood was spoiled.However they told that renovation is going on so they are arranging buffet in an another side of actual hotel. There was no AC only 3or 4air cooler was running there and those were of no work. Washrooms are also in pathetic conditions.Door lock was not working. Overall experience was like any other cheap restaurant. Will think twice before visit Floatel again.

Stayed there while on office tour. Good experience with food and standard of room. We did not have food in restaurant but room service was timely and good service. We colleagues had room service food in one of our friend’s room, we asked for extra cutleries and they were accurate with the number of cutleries. Overall good experience with Roshan & Chandradip💚

Then you should visit here atleast once in your life.…I had been to this hotel earlier also, for corporate meetings, but this was the first time I was visiting with my family.…I like Mrinal Mrinal behavior and Dinner was incomplete without Sujan Chef suggestion. The Floatel is located right above the Ganga river, near SBI Head branch in Babughat. The location is good and the hotel floats above the ganga river from where you can see both the Howrah bridge and the Ravindra setu.…Hotel under renovation but still good services provided by Chandradip and Chef Sujan.

Polo Floatel is one of the best Floatel ever experienced. It has got a wonderful, peaceful environment to offer for their guest. While check-in, Mr. Ashish, the receptionist was very cooperative and well professional. The service was very quick on a single dial. Mr. Manab was also very helpful during our stay. Though there were some temporary issues, yet the view was so amazing portraying the Howrah Bridge that it made our stay memorable.We wish to visit soon in future.

Good food, good room quality. If you are booking for hourly rooms, it is better to book the room a day before, this will save some extra charges.

Contrary to what people say. I have a few things to say. The view of the river is the usp of the hotel. The towels and the bathroom fittings are probably ten years old. They have not changed anything. Food was ok. Their bathrooms need a major rejig, so as the furniture, they are all very very old. The staff are polite. Looks like serious leadership and management issues at floatel. They have to wake up to how the hotel industry has moved ahead in customer experience as far as attention to detail is given in all aspects of the stay.

I went to the hotel on 21 November with high hope but was very disappointed from the moment I completed the check-in formalities. We had to wait for 45 minutes before our rooms were allocated. Once I checked into my room, more surprises were waiting for me. I was told that the rooms were sanitized, but the tea cups and the pot were still there, the hot water tap was not working and even after repeated requests, no one attended to the problem. The room service was awful. There was hardly any maintenance. The only plus is the guy at the reception during the night. He was very helpful.Other than this I was felt let down & cheated. Even the Homestays at the hill stations have better service.

Rooms are shabby, different from what you see on booking site. A bit overpriced for the quality of rooms they provide. Staffs are friendly and the view.of Ganges is good.

Theres a open mislead, no mention of ml. On the bar menu,and in that case its usually for 60ml. But here is for 30ml.and for a large Smirnoff they are charging 580?insane..plus food wasnt good, but prices are extremely high for a normal chiken preparation they are charging 549 plus taxes?for a cold drink its 177?and in the bill they also cheated..I think at that price point it should be nice and professional,totally not worth it at no point.
