Want to try out indian food but cant handle the spice?Indian food is globally recognised for its rich flavour and aromatic ingredients. But when we talk about South Indian food the story is bit different. It is for people who arent fans of spicy food. @dosa coffee located at bhawanipur serves the best South Indian food in the town. More or less all varieties of South Indian cuisine are available here. This place also has a well furnished interior with proper seating arrangements.Every dish was perfect to taste. I found malkapodi dosa, malabar paratha with paneer korma to be very delicious.

When it comes to authentic South Indian , we always remember the curries are more nutritious ,healthy mostly vegetarian based with not so cooked down veggies and assorted with Kurry leaves giving a strong definite aroma . Another thing that steals my heart of South India is Filter Kappe . Though we are more habituated with ready to make coffee, but our indigenous filter coffee has unputdownable flavour and fragrance that tops the rating any day compared to any ready-to make coffee . So this joint specializes in serving Authentic South Indian (mostly of Tamil Nadu , Karnataka, Kerala , Andhra ) delights and Filter coffee . They have reminded me of my Bangalorean days where we used to get lots of eateries serving delicious Dosas, Hot spongy fluffy Idlis along with Spicy Sambar and Rasam, Uttapam and filter coffee just from breakfast to dinner giving you a right start for a day in affordable range. Here you can walk into a comfortable AC restaurant , seat with your near and dear ones and enjoy some healthy South Indian cuisines at reasonably lower price .Location : Only 100mt to Minto Park Bus stop at Garden ApartmentsMenu :Malkapodi Idli — Podi is a type of masala that we sprinkle to make fluffier boiled idlis a bit spicy and tasty .Butter Idli — Butter spreader upon IdliMedu Vada — Our special and yummy fried vada of donut shape .Sambhar Vada - This is more like pakoda made with dal .Mixed Uttapam — Uttapam is thicker version for dosas where mixed veggies are put as toppings .Malkapodi Dosa — This was amazingly crunchy having a pyramidical structure served with Rasam, Sambhar and Chutney.Guntur Karam Podi Dosa — This was again another delicious version of Dosa .Mysore Masala Ghee Roast Dosa — Dosa stuffed with very typical masala ,not of only mashed potato that we generally get .Appam with Stew — This is again a sweeter version of Dosa but of Kerala .Malabar Paratha with Paneer Korma — Malabar parathas happened to be the showstopper of the day . It has extremely fluffy, crunchy feeling outside yet soft internal layer. Paneer Korma is a buttery gravy item and both complemented to the fullest .Special White Chutney — made of coconutBeetroot ChutneyRaw Mango ChutneySpicy Onion ChutneySpicy Coconut ChutneySpicy Tamarind ChutneySpicy Tomato Onion ChutneyButter Milk — This is thinner version of lassi to give a good digestion.Cold Coffee — It was quite creamy and thick with lesser ice content.Filter Coffee — Again it was marvellous and a must try for all coffee lovers.

Among all the dosa that I have tried the sada dosa is simply plain dosa with no flavour so wont be recommending that, but the rest are taste worthy specially the Dhaniya dosa and the garlic dosa. Malabar paratha was normal but the paneer kormal is just mind blowing. I feel like the idlis were a bit thin other than that its good. Paniyarapams are like small fried idlis and with all the chutneys it can give you a taste of heaven.Overall the experience was amazing, the staffs were nice, the restaurant was clean. Worth a visit.

A small South Indian restaurant at Mintu Park right on Sarat Bose Road. Parking is an issue. Delicious food. Reasonably priced. Nice ambience and interior. Small seating area over two floors. Very limited menu. Serves the usual idli, dosa, vada, uttapam, rice, halwa, sewai, tea and coffee. The special chutneys are charged seperately. Garlic dosa is different and yummy. Special tomato onion chutney is a good add on. Service leaves a lot to be desired for.

The best part here is the pocket pinch is very little and reasonable. The staffs are very humble here and the ambience is soothing. Youll definately enjoy the dosas, vadas, idlis and other authentic south Indian dishes. Visit @dosacoffee to put your taste buds though a good treat. Youll also get spicy buttermilk and fiter coffee here. There menu is really attractive to have a look on.

Dosa coffee is a paradise for all the South Indian food fanatics out there and also for those who want to eat healthy when outside. Rest assured that the place wont disappoint you.The items tried by us were :🔸 Buttermilk - Made by churning yogurt and cold water together in a pot seasoned with a variety of spices and curry leaves. The spices were too much to our liking and so we didnt enjoy it much.🔸 Ghee Roast Dosa - Delicious dosa soft on the inside and crispy on the outside while fried with the ghee.🔸 Butter Masala Dosa - Dosa prepared in butter instead of oil and it leaves an aftertaste of the butter as you bite it with the aloo masala served separately.🔸 Dhania Dosa - A special dosa having a generous layer of coriander paste on the inside along with coriander masala.🔸 Guntur Karampodi Dosa - This is the ultimate dosa for a dosa lover spiced with Dosa Coffees special masala.🔸 Medu Vada - Two crunchy vadas prepared with Urad Dal, green chilly and a mix of delicious spices.🔸 Masala Vada - Two crunchy vadas served with delicious masala sides.🔸 Malkopodi Idli - Dosa Coffees special idlis.🔸 Chutney Platter - In this platter youll get a variety of chutneys like Raw Mango chutney, White Chutney, Spicy Onion Chutney, Sppicy Coconut Chutney, Garlic Chutney, Mysore Chutney, and many more.🔸 Filter Coffee - Coffee made by mixing frothed and boiled milk with the infusion of finely ground coffee powder in a traditional Indian filter.

One of the best places for sitting down and eating South Indian food that too, your vegetarian is definitely Dosa Coffee. The place has a very subtle and beautiful ambience that would remind you of the typical eateries of South India. As you take a tour of their menu, youll see what a wide range of creativeness they have shown in their fusions with the Dosa, Idlis, Vadas and most importantly, their Chutneys. What did we try?Malkapodi idliMedu Vada, Masala vada,Sambhar vada, Rasam vadaLemon riceDaniya dosa, Guntur karam podi dosa, Ghee roast dosaButtermilkFilter coffeeChutneysThe interior is very subtle and peaceful and the hospitality is really warm and overwhelming. Coming to the quality of the food, there was no compromise in the amazing taste of what ever was served to us starting from the dosas, to the Vadas, the idlis, the filter coffee, the buttermilk and the chutneys everything was off superior quality and hat that typical Aroma and would take you to a small tour of South India with its powerful flavours and taste game. The ghee roast dosa has to be my favourite with the rasam that was served in a small glass which really looked quite traditionally South Indian. But leaving everything aside, the stars of the show was certainly the chutneys that was served. Especially the mango chutney, that we kept on requesting to repeat waz something that we had tried for the first time, and I can still feel its taste white stuck to my taste buds.

Served with potato and paneer korma, this was another simple but satisfying option on their menu. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⠀⠀⠀Idly : Soft and satiating, almost comparable to the melt-in-your-mouth idlies of Jyoti Vihar. Very clean and hygienic. Quality is very good but not too happy with the size of the idli. Even 3-4 idlis are not filling enough. Uthappam and Dosa on the other hand are quite good. The restaurant prices are slightly on the higher side but it is definitely worth it.
