The perfect place to go for date ♥️ I loved the place way too much. Ambience and decor is worth remembering. In addition, the food and the staff, both of them are the best. Staff is very much polite. The price they offer is perfect for what they serve. This place is a must visit for everyone.

Its not yet an open restaurant.. very hard to locate even.. 10-15 mins walking distance from shyambazar metro.. we were not aware that one needs to book then come.. they told to wait for 1-1:30 mins.. its way too much.. and these informations should be clearly stated in Zomato..

A beautiful heritage house with its unique charm. Visited this place few days back and I’m speechless by its old world vibe and beautiful decor. Situated just near Shyambazar Metro station this place is perfect for a staycation. We visited the cafe and had a wonderful experience. The staff is courteous and friendly. We ordered a Roasted Chicken Pizza which was really good. Good portions and taste. The coffee was also really good.

Though not exactly sprawling, this is a beautiful property. We stayed here for one night and wished we could have spent more time here. The service was commendable.

It was great to see the house decorated with lights and some old-fashioned things. Over-all very good.

Well restored to give the feeling of old Calcutta house. Decor is nice.Attended a dinner party at roof top. Space is only good for max 20 people. Food I had was not special rather ordinary.Can be good experience for international tourists but not for me for staycation in Kolkata..

Pure bengali culture house which belongs to British Era. Come here and you can stay. Place is a costly place as per rate publish on website. If you dont want to stay come near gate and you can click some pics with heritage building 😉

This pandemic has given us enough reasons to not to travel, so we friends decided for a staycation. But we didn’t want a modern hotel, so we zeroed upon Calcutta Bungalow. The booking process was smooth, so was the check-in process. It was a staycation to remember for all the right reasons, except one. We loved the structure, the fact that all facilities are provided without demolishing the old skeleton. The vintage is maintained so aesthetically. The decor is a 100 upon a scale of 100. We were 3 people and the extra bed was taken care of equally like the main bed. The rooms were clean. The service top notch by all the employees. I have to mention Wasim, who took take care of everything so diligently and with a smile. Polite, professional, I wish him a good future. The food was nostalgic, loved the taste, a special thanks to the chef. Everything was taken care of and a decision worth it.The only misfit in the place is the lady in the reception, Anjum. I am not judging her but she is not welcoming, her personality doesn’t suit the place, you get cold vibes. We encountered an experience with her, where we were taking photos and she said that only mobile camera is allowed and not DSLR and if we do, the charges are 15k. We tried explaining her that it was our personal vacation and we weren’t there for professional work, I myself am a photographer so I know the rules or atleast I play by the rules. She said but that’s the rule. I tried to argue with her because it’s nowhere mentioned on the website. She informed that it isn’t on the website but on Facebook. But hello, why isn’t such an important information on the well updated website? Then I asked her to contact the owner, she said he is busy, so I called up his no, Keya received the call. I explained her the issue and she confirmed that we could use our DSLR cameras.If you are a tourist, I do not know where in the world you are charged almost same as professional shoots for personal photographs. And where are tourists prohibited from taking photographs apart from few monuments? To remind you, DSLRs come a long way, they are here before mobile phones. And if you have some constraints, please have it mentioned on your website and argue with some logic. This was completely illogical and unwanted. If I forget this, everything else was perfect. I hope other travelers don’t have to face any such illogical issue.

Though put on, the place has an old world charm, the bonediyana not so evident but definitely a period piece from the old Ghoti bari of early 20th century north Kolkata. People were courteous and food was good. only if the management was a little particular about Covid protocol, wearing of masks, et al.

Wonderfully restored heritage townhouse in North Kolkata with lovely & helpful staff, an eye for detail when it comes to the rooms and carefully selected products - from KAMA Ayurveda toiletries to Blue Tokai Coffee. We had a wonderful time starting the day with a fresh & healthy breakfast - considering diet restriction [vegan] - and exploring the city with insightful & fun Calcutta Walks. Highly recommend this charming boutique hotel!

Must visit, and worth staying when in Kolkata!

It is a fair place for photoshoot. But not spacious at all. Small premises with beautiful decorative corners. Rooms are good but poor lighting facilities inside so incase of makeup or photography inside the rooms will require extra sources of light. Above all, the place is too much expensive as compared to its infrastructure, food and services.

This one of a kind heritage bed and breakfast is one of my most favorite places in Kolkata.The old world North Calcutta charm, the amazing rooftop decked with fairy lights throughout the year, the super super amazing food!I can go on and on about this place.Its definitely a must visit whether youre a resident of Calcutta or just visiting the city of joy!

As the onsite-manager he looks after the place and its guests as if it was his own hotel. Has a really homely feeling. Wasim is a great help. He made sure everything was looked after. The rooms are well planned. The only suggestion would be to have a covered transparent terrace so that you can spend winter nights there.

This place is a genuine treasure in North Kolkata. Their prices are higher than other hotels in the area, but the price is well worth it. The whole venue has a great aesthetic that is contemporary in its quality and feel, while capturing the Old-Calcutta feel.Amenities:Their dining area is excellent for shared meals. It is an intimate area for meals and the menu is decent. The price on meals felt a bit steep, but not something I felt overly bad about. The common areas are well designed and have a good amount of space and quiet.Staff:Staff are courteous and available. Ifte, the founder, made time to swing by and say hello, which was really touching. its a passion project, and you can tell the staff are equally passionate about the space.

Loved our stay here, Boipara room. Rooms were done up beautifully. Keya and Wassim were of great help and always available; even for 5 am breakfast calls. Definitely coming back here again soon :)

The villa was awesome and the it was pretty well managed by the caretaker. Room was really nice and cleanliness was well maintained. Food was amazing and wifi was available. The property is centrally located.The behavior of the caretaker was very cordial.

A beautiful colonial time structure...restored to its former glory by Designer and photographer Swarup Dutta. You need to see it to believe it because an ambience cannot be described it can only be felt.

Converting an old mansion to a new bed and breakfast and retaining its entire old world charm is a tall order and this place has done it perfectly. Its love at first sight and a new trend in Kolkata hospitality. The service is good and you feel like being in a time machine. Must stay here .

One of the newest heritage Bunglow in North Calcutta. Prices are slightly above the expectations but service is very good. Rooms are very good with all the modern amenities and features. A perfect place for weekend destination. Strongly recommend.

A fantastic heritage home in old Calcutta. The rooms are well appointed in a beautiful retro aesthetic, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The main thoroughfares of North Calcutta are close at hand, making getting around the city convenient. Highly recommended.

For a big photoshoot with 10 People or more people is not proper.space is very short for placing lights.and according to budget its high with one room.

Awesome place, one must visit at least once

In the streets of old Kolkata city lies this hidden gem called Calcutta bunglow. Built in 1926, it is a heritage building with furniture and furnishings amounting to art collections. I stayed only for few hours so not sure about the type of food they provide. Inspite of a late check in they graciously arranged for a meal for us. They also arrange/cook for lunch and dinner if intimated in advance. Bengali sweets they served - mishti doi, sandesh and rasgulla- were to die for. They outsource these sweets. Please check with the chef if one needs to carry it for friends.
