This review is for those who are traveling during covid from tripura. While my travel I didnt need any vaccination certificate though I had it with me. They didnt ask for the certificate nor did they ask about rtpcr report.And as always kolkata airport is busy and full of people. Just stay away from local cab drivers they will charge 10-15times the normal fare, if they get the idea that you are from other place. So my advice is to bargain or use online cab services.

The airport is very clean and has plenty of food shops along with books, jewellery etc. The staffs are also helpful and always there to assist you. The airport has army patrolling from time to time. It has plenty of convertible chairs for you to rest or take a nap. It has also got lounge facilities.

A hub in eastern India, its a nice airport with decent facilities and good connectivity pan India. Being in one of the oldest city in our country I strongly felt that the airport should showcase a bit more details of the city it stands. The halls are huge and can handle commuters traffic even in future and the facilities are well placed. The overall experience is hassle free.

Kolkata airport is silent airport so be careful… otherwise u would miss ur flight. The new regulations are good. Web checkin mandatory. There are kiosk to helpyou. Sitting arrangements are pretty good. International part is bigger.

There are 2 prepaid taxi booth one isprivet they charges 3 times higher than actual fare and the the other isGovernment you may find long queue but they will charge the actual fare.The airport has a well-established facility of prepaid taxis and air-conditioned buses connecting it to the city centre.Very beautiful and well maintained. One of the most crowded airport.Interior decoration is awesome. Lots of International flights you can get from there. All staffs are really helpful. The transportation system of the airport was excellent.

The Airport is fantastic in my opinion.The cleanliness and hygiene maintenance is impressive. The overall design and aesthetics is also very nice. Did I mention that the airport is huge too? Coming from a smaller airport having state, I was very much swayed by this fact 😂 They also have the section in arrivals where they show case artifacts from the states history as you walk to the transfers which is also a nice touch. There are a lot of stores if you fancy buying something as a souvenir too.

Its situated in dum dum. It is very clean and well decorated. You will get flights for all destination from this airport.

International Airport is at Terminal 1. So, if you are traveling abroad, goto Terminal 1 not Terminal 2. Terminal 2 is for domestic flights.You will also find the Bus stand here. If you want to save on money, take up public AC buses from here. You will find buses for almost all routes here. Like for Ruby, Howrah, Dharmatalla, Gariahat, Mani square. The bus fare is very cheap. From Airport to Ruby, it will cost you only 35 rupees. Incase you are alone, I suggest you better take these buses. Its very convenient.To board the buses, from Arrival (at the basement) take right.

I had very good experience for departure area . Lounge facilities was good. Toilets were cleaned. But in arrival all washroom I found in very pathetic condition. Even now days public toilets are maintained in a better way.

Don’t know where to start. There was a time when there are lot of international flights used to operate. I still remember the day when I have boarded the last direct flight to Frankfurt. It was maybe 10 years back then. Slowly lack of passenger and due to infrastructure international flights became very less. But then the new terminal is inaugurated and it is made in proper international structure like handling more number of flights and passengers. International terminal can be improved. There are proper navigation system and lots of restaurants from where you can have dining.Overall it’s the airport of city of joy. So I hope this information can be helpful to other travellers. First class airport. Very clean and cozy. Different branded shops are here. You can wait here for a long time without boredom. Beautification was done in national and international flight departures. A pre-paid taxi facility is there. Staffs are very helpful and polite. Interior design is very nice and beautiful.

Nice place to accommodate ,clean environment...You will love this place .. Hygiene is maintained everywhere... Security staff are strict ..There is a departmental book store where u will get good collection of book ..And most importantly everything is expensive.. Except water you have to pay for everything

This airport is one of my favourites.My experience here has always been for domestic transfers and cannot comment on the international terminal. This airport is beautiful and serene. The minute elements justify the magnificence of the word international as a whole.My fav - the highty stairs. - highway to heaven.- the decorative walls and murals- cant miss the amazing VIP lounge, the buffets, the hospitality. The stores are also interesting. Covering all aspects of west bengal.

Its very impressive, medium crowd well maintained, Sufficient parking also there. but some are closed, may be it wasnt not need.As my point of view it is better than Mumbai (BOM) and Delhi (DEL) airport.

The airport is well maintained. Luggage drops and boarding passes are disposed well and security checks are hassle free. Dealing of staves at the check-in counters is courteous. Sitting areas have comfortable chairs in good numbers. Toilets are clean. However, baggage collection takes long which needs attention. Overall, I am satisfied with the total performance and ambiance of the airport.

The airport is new, marginal in size and clean. They are having small number of reasonable shops with some small restaurant. Covid protcol of these airport is not that good like other international airports. They offer boarding bridges for most of the domestic and international airport.

Well.. I had a flight to Delhi from Kolkata so the services are all over good but its been not a good experience for me because they charged me 1000/- for extra luggage.

Although, its been only a couple of times that I have travelled from/to CCU. But, the experience has been good. Overall, well maintained. And helpful staff.

I have visited this airport two times. Its really nice and big airport.

Food was good, lot of shopping stores to shop for and various brands too.The reason for 2 star is the washrooms and higiene is not good. As I visited in rains.. the airport was wet and unclean as the toilets were overflowing with water..!! As well as the area outside airport was flooded...!!Higiene comes 1st as we are fighting covid. Hope to see improvements in next visit so that I change my ratings to a 5 star one !!

One of the best airports in th country offering all sorts of amnesties. Its not too crowded, clean, tidy and has easy check-ins. The staffs were quite helpful and supportive. However it doesnt have a lot of shops, but the food court is quite good.

Easy in and out process, only issue is high taxi fare for operating companies which will go down drastically within 1 km distance. Better option is prepaid taxi but that too is non air-conditioned

I Have been traveling from this airport for many times now, its clean and well maintained. I have traveled during this lockdown too and I am quite satisfied by the service and the administration at how they handled the situation per se.However, the staffs can be a handful sometimes. I had a bad experience recently as I was traveling from cochin to Kolkata where the AirIndia airline stuff at luggages check in wont allow me to go further as she thought I didnt have a valid covid 19 negative report, which in reality mine was valid for another 24 hours.The problem was her attitude, she got angry and the tone she use was not customer friendly. She wont listen nor was she calculating the days in the given report which clearly is valid for 72 hours after the testing. My worse experience in any airport. Her colleagues has to step in and correct her.The retiring room was great. The dormitories were not available due to the pandemic. But two beds rooms were available at Rs. 2240 per night. Had a pleasant stay at the place

Well organized placedWhen you arrived, facing toward gate,Left side checking started from counter A up to HAfter security in,Left side gate no 25 and Right side started from gate no 01.After security in,Shopping and refreshment shop is there, cafe , fast food and mens&womens clothing shop, jewelry shop, all are there.SBI ATM is inside near staff gate entry.

Nice and clean facility. Just that the snacks, especially beverages at all the stalls are overpriced. It would be good if some tea or coffee is available at affordable prices.

Good clean airport. Around 40 mins from Howrah Railway station during early morning travel.The airport is spacious has KFC, Biswa Bangla, Pizza Hut etc. Has a lounge on the first floor. An Ultra KFC bar also on both floors.I visited during early morning hours during which it was very peaceful to board a plane without any rush or long lines. So far so good.

The best airport of the country, Kolkata my hometown. Although here one wont find the hectic feel of Mumbai or the opulence of Delhi, yet after landing, one can definitely feel the vibes of the city, its rich cultural heritage. The airport is named after Netaji, one of the most iconic legends of Bengali nationalism. This is a fitting tribute to a man who sacrificed everything for the sake of the country. However despite all the love that I have for the airport, I would request the authorities to take a little more care towards the facilities and infrastructure and bring them at par to the best in the country.

Very unexpected behaviour received from this airport authority being an international and metro city airport. They say they do not have a procedure of rapid test facility available when even small airports are having it. Harrassing passengers unnecessarily. However the behaviour of staffs was polite till now.

The entrance for domestic and the international terminal are the same for the CCU airport as of Feb 2021. The airport, although is recently renovated and probably redesigned as well, you wont find it very clean and modern, as compared to other new airports in India. Inadequate signs after arrival, the restrooms and facilities looks unclean, worn out, smelly and very old, help desks are scarce.I felt the international arrival look very depressing. When you enter the city of joy as a citizen or a tourist through this airport you see the immigration section is so sad and dim lit. It doesnt give me a vibe of a joyous or a happy entry to the city.Recently i have seen that there are more stores inside the airport too. Of course those are helpful too to buy some souvenir before flying out.

Its a very neat and clean airport. I think it got all the convenience regarding the passengers facility. But am giving it a four star rating because of the mosquitoes and the drinking water facility. I just didnt found drinking water facility as good as it should be.

Have been to the place many times, one of the busiet airport. Security check in may be painfully long sometimes. Better keep 30 mins reserve in your hand to avoid last min palpitations. Eatery stores are there to grab a quick bite near gate no 20. Airport lounge is also located at the 1st floor which can be accessed by Elevator or Ramp situated near gate 20

Kolkata airport today was kind of free and spaced out. The staffs are polite and humble. Quite sorted. Before check-in all seems good!Just that the check-in lines can be managed better. The scanning of tickets at entrance and check-in counters looks like forever.There is no segregation for the crew and passengers at check-in gates. The Go Air crew members were ruthless. They enter the passenger lines and still know how to behave stupid. That needs to be fixed. Crew members keep falling into the line whenever and wherever they please!!Also the line up for boarding is a disaster. No management by the airlines and absolutely no social distancing!!

This Airport is excellent, it has two Airport National and International both are joint so its so comfortable to change and intra transfer is easy. There are few food shops and duty free as well if you need some gifts or souvenir for friends or family.

Quite a big in size but definitely need more maintenance. Workers of the airport spits ghutkha here and there, seen with my own eyes. Whoever is in charge is not enough careful about the cleanliness. It has everything but needs more care. Chairs are terribly dirty. Govt. has done everything but this thing should be taken care by airport authority. Airport represents a State, a country, so they should be more careful about it. Don’t let outsiders think negative about the city of joy KOLKATA.

CCU is one of the finest airport. The international Airport give totally the bong vibe which is very indeed. The interior gives all aesthetic feeling. Nicely decorated and well presented.

Nethaji Subas Chandra Bose International Airport is an international airport located in Dumdum , West Bengal. It is well maintained airport. We just stopped here for connecting flight. It has good amount of food options. Security and other staff are good.
