Spice Route in Kalikapur is a new place with much good food to offer. From Tandoor to Mughlai, they have it all. I was invited by @konizfoodwheels and @whenstomacktickles to taste dishes from their menu.We started with the Manchow soup. I am not a huge fan of soups, but i liked the slightly peppery hot dish. In starters, we tried the Tandoori Aloo, Panner Tikka Kebab, and Seekh kebab. The paneer tikka had some fresh paneer which took up some flavours from the marinate and even after the tandoor, it was soft. The seekh kebabs are tricky, as most would agree could be dry and chalky cardboard after the tandoor. However, this one was soft on the inside and one could get the flavours from the spices.For Main Course, we had Murgh Kohlapuri, Paneer Jhalfrezi, Tandoori Roti and Kashmiri Pulao the Kolhapuri was delicious and the Kashmiri Pulao was perfect with it. The Tandoori Roti was also soft when we had it. We ended our tasting with some Vanilla Ice-cream.Much Recommend: Paneer Tikka kebab, Murgh Kolhapuri and Kashmiri Pulao

I was passing by this place and thought of trying out this new outlet promising you to serve amazing North Indian delicacies. Its a small cosy restaurant on the first floor with decent sober ambience providing a searing of around 20-23 people. I tried out —Starters :Tandoori Aloo — Tandoori Aloo was mind blowing. One whole aloo with stuffing inside cut in four peices and served. The outside part was perfectly grilled and crispy and the crust was stuffed with tandoori spices. Really liked it alot.Panner Tikka Kebab — Fresh, juicy, soft peices of Paneer grilled in tandoori spices with a perfect balance in slight crispness outside and yet the softness of the paneer in the core. I liked the taste and its truly a recommendable one.Main Course :Veg Jhalfrezi — It was loaded with Paneer and Veggies sinked in a lip-smacking hot, sweet & sour thick creamy gravy. I just loved it.Kashmiri Pulao — Pulao consisted of thin long grains of rice loaded with veggies and thin slices of cherries and raisin giving it a perfect balance of sweetness in pulao.Dessert :Vanilla Ice-cream.My friends tried out Mutton Seekh Kebabs, Murgh Kohlapuri, Tandoori Roti and they liked the respective dishes as well. Nice restaurant offering delicious dishes at a reasonable price. Their service was prompt and staffs were polite. Overall I liked the place. You all should must give it a try.

This place owner is actually a thief he had lend money from lots of person by saying that he had met an accident..and then he refused to give money..he had done this several times..i have all the document against him.his name is ronit chatterjee.also he dont come by himself he send another person to take money.

Spiceroute, located at Kalikapur road near Purbachal crossing is a multicuisine restaurant with a simple and minimalistic decor with an accommodation of around 20 heads.Now coming to the food, I tried-▪︎Nonveg noodles soup(₹140)- The portion of the soup was moderate and amount of chicken in it was sufficient. The taste was quite decent.▪︎Spiceroute Prawn(₹230)- I loved this particular dish. The prawns were fresh and it tasted delicious.▪︎Chicken fried rice and chicken noodles(₹200)- The fried rice tasted below average and could be bit better tho. The noodles tasted quite good and the quantity of the rice and noodles can be shared by two heads easily.▪︎Chicken Manchurian(₹200)- 6pieces of chicken with medium spiced gravy tasted quite average as it was too salty.Pocket pinch for two people is around ₹600.Overall rating-3/5.

A casual dining restaurant, pretty easy to locate as it rests in front of the street on the second floor. The interiors are low-key rusty but they are on the road towards improvement. That said, the food tastes like something from a hidden gem.We tried food mostly from their Indian menu, and were stunned at the culinary maturity in their dishes. My recommendations have to be Murg Kohlapuri and Paneer Jhalfrezi. These are definitely dishes that youd like to pay for at this place, and these go very well with Indian Breads if I may add.Their Kebabs have scope for improvement but are quite an opener nevertheless.Service is helpful, and kind. Special attention needs to be put into the Cutlery in which the dishes are being served, as presentation makes a huge difference. That said, bring down your folks, or order in from this place, during the festive season and have a lovely time! 😊

In this generation where we are looking for fancy cafes and restaurants, Spice Route is fixated at serving good quality food just like the golden old days. No fancy decors. Its just like one of the restaurants where I and Ma used to go in my childhood. Simple and humble decor. But great at taste!And do not underestimate their presentation and quality. Please please please never visit this place. Very unhygienic. I ordered biriyani on Zomato from this restaurant. I found human hair in the biriyani. Also the quantity of the biriyani is very very less and also the quality is very very poor, please please please never ever visit this restaurant for taking food.
