Situated inside the largest science center of the Indian subcontinent, this Space Theatre is a phenomenal place to visit & explore for every space lover. Its one of the major buildings inside the Science City complex, where you can simultaneously educate & entertain yourself. There are several shows frequently held inside this space theatre, which are chargeable and tickets need to be purchased from near the buildings entrance. I had an experience of a lifetime by witnessing a show inside a Time-Machine called SRV for ₹30 only. The name of the show was Great Wall Of China, wherein I was seated inside a closed dark box (SRV) & a short adventure film was played. The sound effects and the violent movements of the SRV gave a real-time feel of the show, which was really exciting. At the ground floor, you can enhance your knowledge about the universe & interstellar space by browsing through the various digital articles through highly sophisticated touch-screens. From Indias contribution to space, to exploring the planets of our solar system, here you will find every information related to space. The most standout feature of this theatre is the newly introduced digital section, dedicated to the father of the nation, Mahatma Gandhi. This digital section is simply astounding. Here, you can garner substantial knowledge about the life of Gandhiji, his contributions and the letters that he received from eminent & revered personalities like Albert Einstein, etc.There is also a room on the first floor of this theatre, where you will come across several science tricks, games and optical illusions. I would say that this room is entirely for physics lovers. I would recommend everyone to visit this sensational space theatre in Science City & if possible watch all the shows that this theatre offers on that particular day, at nominal charges. 👍🏻

Liked the experience of space theatre inside science City. Must visit this with nominal charges of just 30/- and 60/- based on the type of video. Surroundings of this theatre are parks and lot of swings and various kids play and enjoyment area. Kids will really enjoying a lot.

There is a round shaped ball like set up in the middle of the room which will be lighted up while the presenter starts his/her depiction...It is definitely a breath-taking experience to see that ball turning into the exact look of all the planets one by one just in front of you... And they explain in a very brief but crisp way...

It is large 3D theatre which has a dome shaped screen. The complete dome lights up with special hi performance projectors which mimics exactly the nights sky.There are two shows which run here. A trees life and adventure on astroid.We watched the asteroid one.It was awesome.

Divided into two parts. One side have simple science machines and other side have theater and models representing space journey of Indian. Very nice place. A lot of information waves around it

Good place to explore science, spacecraft. We watched a short film depicting the lofe of certain rare animals on an island far from the city. The dynamotion hall was incredible. Lovely place to see the wonders of physics.

Its an awesome plece to hangout. Few modifications are done to the main theme park which is really nice. The all new dome theatre gives an awesome movie experience though a bit expensive. Given the entry fee 50 you get to enjoy a plathora of scientific experiments inside. And the new avatar comes with plenty of chairs to rest in between. So come and visit with friend and family.

Its all about the past life of 25,000 yrs to this Time.Its says that all living organisms depends on each other. If one species gone extinct then it will effect Earths biosphere.I love it.

When I visited to science city in kolkata last july .It was summer and summer was so painful in kolkata . Especially humidity burns you from inside , sweating is all over but when I entered into science citys hall it was fully ventilated with air conditioning and the internal rooms temperature was about 18℃ and it brings us so relaxed .I was not sure the ticket for adult was about ₹70 per head. Firstly we thought in summer we are wasting our money but it was not. If your are with kids you should visit here, definitely they will learn something from science city. We all also impressed by the technology involved and we had also gone back to schools where we learn the beginning of science.I was impressed by mirror part of the museum. That was funny in watching our mirror images .The best part of the mirror floor was the bhool bhulaiya wala part . We are almost lost in the mirror cant decide where to the way of exit .We didnt tried the food inside the science city hall but we had tried the street food . When we planned to visit kolkata the first thing we thought about the street food and that day we also did that, we moved to street food .Muri is the best snacks I tried in the street and that is available everywhere in the street at 10 rupees only. The second thing was kathi roll and when we think about the roll, that was mouth watering flavour came into mind .At last I give 4 stars from 5 and highly recommend to visit there.

Good place for kids of age group 10-16 or people with affection for science. It can be a good place for a family weekend outing. You can easily spend 4-5 hours here if you want to enjoy what you have been taught in school.Be ready to walk alot if you want to visit everything. They also have a garden with swings and basic amusement tools.I would say, it is a place you must visit atleast once to have a good experience. Dont expect anything WOW.

This is excellent space and excellent show for everyone. It is suitable for growing children. Atmosphere is very good. I enjoyed and I think everyone enjoy from here. Transportation also very good for coming from every way. Lunch,snacks. Cold and hot drinks available here. Staff and other person behavior is good

Wow it is gorgeous. I am overwhelmed. The entry fee for the movie was Rs 120 per head. The show duration was 30 minutes. I watched the show on meteorites by national geographic. It is not only mesmerizing, but also provide lot of information on the topic. The 3D vision make it completely alive.

In Space theatre both 2D and 3D shows are available. But it depends on what time you want to see the show. Also it is noteworthy that you are issued the ticket only. The occupation of the preferred seat and position is completely on first come first choose basis. Some of their shows are 2D and some are 3D. The 3D show running as of now in 2019 based on Asteroids is informative, relevant and amazing. It starts from 2pm. It is almost 27-28 minute long show. Inside this building other than Space theatre the Motion simulator ride is also present which is also very enjoyable. This is also a 3D show. But it spans for very less time. But proportionately the fare is also very low(only 20 rs). This ride is very exciting and the current one which is on the Great Wall of China is really thrilling. But persons with some cardiac problem must not try this. A board is also present there on this note. Other than these the mirror maze, various visual illusive machines present are also very enjoyable. Not only the machines there are texts present describing the cause of those optical illusions which are very very useful. The Dynamotion section is full of many interesting things which also include explanations for all of them.

Science city is a humble amusement park snugged in the Eastern Metropolitan Bypass. It has amazing stuffs related to science which will baffle your​ senses. The only drawback us you need to walk a lot .. so ppl with knee problem with not enjoy this place ...

Science city auditorium is situated opposite Milanmela were book fairs festivals held in every year. It was really an excellent show for me. I was with my nephews, they are enjoyed it very much. Entry fee was 120 per head and the show was 30 minutes longer. We watched the show on meteorites by national geography .It was not mesmerised us but also provide lots of information on the topic.
