Over priced. Small quantity. There are many restaurants in Kolkata where we had far more better food in lesser price.. First time tried here and very disappointed. One thing I should mention, I ordered Daab sarbat and they gave coconut water simply by 75 rs. Imagine the trick of making people fool ! Will never recommend to anyone. Thanks.

Yesterday I visited this hidden gem at Hindustan Park named Tero Parbon serving delicious and quality Bengali food. The idea behind the name simply being to be a part of every occasion by serving authentic Bengali dishes in a long forgotten reminiscence of ancient Bengali mansion with wall paintings (the interiors are beautifully done in that particular way) to provide a Bangaliana Gastronomical experience. From Dimer Devil, Fish Fry to Shukto, Daab Chingri, Kosha Mangsho & Bhapa Ilish each and every item was top notch.I loved the Hanser Dimer Devil stuffed with minced meat also the Fish Fry was equally well prepared, crispy and full of flavours. For the mains I had the best Daab Chingri ever the gravy was thick and so flavourful. The Bhapa Ilish was no doubt great the quality of the fish was good. Also the Mutton Kosha with Dum Pulao is an all time favourite combo to have. The mutton was succulent and well coated in the dark gravy. If you love Bangali Khabar Dabar this place should definitely be in your bucket list.Pocket pinch: INR 700-800 for two.

Being a Bengali, Im quite sceptical to visit a Bengali restaurant. Visiting this place was such a pleasurable experience. The place has a very unique decor, representing an old Bengali mansion, with a completely wooden interior, making it look spectacular.Coming to the food, we tried a number of items and in brief, they were all amazing. For starters, we had Dimer Devil and Fish Fry. My favourite item from the entire menu was certainly the Devilled Egg. It was generously coated with meat and tasted amazing. The fish fry was equally good.Coming to the main course, we had a plethora of Bengali items:RiceDalGheeBegun BhajaDaab ChingriKosha MangshoThese items were just cooked to perfection while the daab chingri just stood out, with the thick and creamy, coconut gravy. For desserts, we had chutney and doi which are again, an integral part of the Bengali cuisine. It was a wonderful experience, visiting this place and Id surely like to visit here, again.Thank you Tero Parbon for inviting me over.

We have visited this restaurant to try for so called Bengali delicious food! But sorry to say now there is no quality at all. Most ordinary food with big price!! We have placed order of Macher Mather Dal, ELISH BHAPA, MALAI POMFRET, KASHA MANGSHO in our main dish items.... all the items are most ordinary...no excitement at all. Quality of Rice was also not good. I would not recommend anyone to go there to try for authentic Bengali food. Go and try other Bengali restaurant who can offer you much more tasty food with same range of atmosphere and price as well.

I visited this restaurant yesterday. I love bengali dishes. I have visited so many places to try bengali foods. But Tero Parbon is not an extraordinary restaurant, the quality of the food is not so good. I am little bit disappointed as the foods are not up to the mark. It is overpriced and they are serving a small quantity of food. I have ordered Vetki Paturi, the size of the fish is so small, they covered the fish with lot of spices. The taste is not remarkable. They are unable to handle the crowd. Overall I can say, its a very ordinary restaurant. I am not satisfied.

Even after me being a non-bong, due to my mother being a Bengali, I have been brought up mostly in Bengali culture. Since childhood, Bengali food, rituals, literature, festivals have a special place in my heart. Specially my grandmother used to cook really amazing Bengali dishes. No matter how good Biryani or any continental dish I have, my heart will still crave for some authentic Bengali dish like the way my grandmother used to make or my mother does it now. I usually never try any Bengali cuisine restaurant as I fear that they might not be able give that authenticity and taste to a dish, the way its prepared at a Bongs house. Also in Bengali cuisine its mostly non veg delicacies and me being vegetarian search for veg dishes everywhere as its hard to find good vegetarian food. But finally I decided to try out Bengali cuisine at some reputed Bengali restaurant like Tero Parbon. So at my recent visit, I tried out —Fresh Lime Soda — We ordered Fresh Lime Soda in beverages, it was very refreshing and thirst quenching.Starters —Karaishutir Chop - Karaishuti (Peas) Chop was filled with thick stuffing of finely grinded peas blended with flavourful spices and this was the first time, I tried this item. Never thought peas chop could be so mind blowing in taste.Mochar Chop - I usually dont prefer mocha but the mochar chop was beyond my expectations of deliciousness. A must try for a vegetarian like me.Main Course —Alu Phulkopi — Its winter season and I wait for winters to eat dishes made out of my favorite vegetable Cauliflower. For main course I went for the simple, classy Alu Phulkopi curry ( Potato & Cauliflower curry) which was spicy and served with big peices of cauliflower dipped in thick gravy. It stole my heart for the day.Bhaat - Bengali lunch/dinner is incomplete without bhat (Steamed rice) in their main course. Hence, I enjoyed hot steamed long grains of rice with Alu Phulkopi curry.Aamer Chutney with Papad – The last but very important part of Bengali meal is the Chutney. Aamer Chutney (Mango chutney) usually served with crisp fried papad is the traditional dessert of the Bengali cuisine. The chutney was perfectly balanced in sweet & soury taste.Along with this my friends ordered for Chicken Cutlet, Bhetki Chingri Monohara, Chingri kobiraji, Hansher Dimer Devil, Mangshor Pulao, Kacha Lonka Murgi, Moshalader Bhetki, Luchi, Daab Chingri. They too found the respective dishes to be mouth watering delicious, very different in taste and appreciated the cooking style. The items are priced at very reasonable rates considering both the quality and quantity. The ambience is styled with traditional Bengali utensils and decor of old bengali culture. They provide a seating of approx 50 - 60 people. Their staffs are polite with prompt service. If you are looking out to visit any restaurant for Bengali Cuisine, Tero Parbon can actually live upto your expectations and provide you an amazing experience of Bengali fine dining.

Taste wise i found really good healthy and tasty. Most important is , they managed to twick like making delicious food but in homely style and not so spicy. Place is quite big with standard decoration. Price wise i feel bit high comparing to the quantity. One plate of Alu posto cost INR 200 plux tax where thats comes in a mid sized bowl which can be managed to serve two person. They accept all types of payments. Since i visited during festival time so no idea if they offer any kind of thalis, actually i did not find in the menu card. Attached photos were our todays menu for 3 people and thats sufficient. I recommend this place to visit and try dub chingri as must.

The ambience also has a traditional Bengali touch to serve a proper experience of the Bengali culture. During the puja, it has a specific delicious menu for everyone to taste, enjoy and have fun with loved ones along with proper safety and hygiene.I tried their -∆ Fresh Lime Soda - It was refreshing.Starters-∆ Fish Fry - They used bhetki fish to make it. The fish portion was soft and served with Kasundi.∆ Chingri Cutlet - This Prawn cutlet was delicious and served with mustard sauce and onion slices during Durga Puja. The prawn fillet was marinated with egg, onion and garlic paste with spices then it coated. Outside layer of prawn cutlet was crunchy.∆ Mochar Chop - Mochar chop is a traditional and highly demandable Bengali snack. Its basically mochar cutlet as we Bengalis generally identify the chop as dipped in a gram flour batter before frying it in oil.MAIN COURSE -∆ after tried starters we tried Bhat with Shukto, Sona Moong Dal, Beguni. Sona Muger Daal is a no onion no garlic comforting Lentil soup from Tero Parbon. It is cooked in ghee. Shukto was delicious. It is cooked with vegetables, milk, spices which all together gives a unique.∆ Daab Chingri - Which is a signature dish of Tero Parbon. Daab Chingri basically a Bengali prawn curry. The main ingredients are large prawns, tender green coconut with malai, along with butter or ghee or mustard oil, onions, turmeric powder, chopped green chilli, garlic paste, and ginger paste flavoured with spices. It was served with plain rice. Must try.∆ Dum Pulao With Kosha Maangsho - The pulao was well prepared. Pulao with kasha kashir Maangsho is always a made delicious combination. The kasha kashir Maangsho was pure lipsmacking, spicy and the mutton portion was fresh, juicy.∆ Payesh - we tried it as a dessert. It was like kheer. Purely heaven.Overall I had a great experience from here. I loved everything about this place. If you want to some Authentic Bengali cuisine must visit this place. This place is famous their wide range of Authentic Bengali Delicacies and the ambience also has a traditional Bengali touch. TERO PARBON is located at 49C, Purna Das Road, near Hindustan Park and it has a huge seating capacity. Looking at the current situation they have taken strict precautions, Ranging from Sanitizing at entrance, Temperature Screening to their staff wearing protective equipment all the time. Basically they are following all the health protocols so that you can have a great time with your loved ones here this Pujo. During Durga Pujo theyll be serving specific Bengali items to their customer and Recently we tried some of them. Coming to the food we had.For Starters we had Mochar Chop, Fish Fry and Chingri Cutlet. The Shukto was fingerlicking good. The Perfectly crisp Beguni tasted really good with the Steamed Rice and Sona Moong Dal. The Daab Chingri was clearly the winner among all the dishes, the prawns were tender and juicy, the gravy was very creamy and it melted in mouth like a dream. The Kosha Maangsho was equally delicious and tasted amazing with the Dum Pulao. We ended this Bengali Gastronomical Journey with none other than Payes which is basically Bengali Style Rice Kheer and this Payes was absolutely delicious.I loved everything about this place. Coming straight to the fact. There is something nostalgic about this place. When we entered this place during late August 2021 around 5pm, two of us were the only customers out there. We were very well greeted right at the entrance. The tables, the dim yellow lights, the photos around all worked to create the nostalgia I believe. This is a Bengali restaurant. Menu contained a plentiful of options. We tried boneless Ilish Paturi, Chitol machher Muithya, Sonamuger Dal, Ilish machher matha diye Chochchori. All of them were delicious to taste. And the Payesh was out of the world.Bill for the sumptuous meal for two of us were ~₹2k.I would like to mention one issue. Parking the car during rush hours can be an issue. The service was excellent from start to finish. Courteous and competent with a touch of bengali hospitality and simplicity (the main order taker seemed keen for us to order something other than what we wanted, we declined). We tried for starters - beguni, moong dal and postor bora (4 pc). Finger licking good though the beguni could have been cooked 30 seconds longer. We ordered the dab chingri (shrimp cooked in coconut)which used to be excellent here but it was a big let down. The size of chingri has shrunk significantly. Earlier the shrimp would be large enough to have their head outside the coconut and the body all the way in. The gravy inside was also very watery and little of coconut flesh if any was present. We rounded up the feast with pabda macher sorshe jhol (exceptional) and kosha mangsho (also exceptional). The kosha mangsho was cooked Golbari style with cumin and with the gondhoraj lebu, made a mouth watering combo with rice. Overall, good experience and will return again.
