Superb food quality with an awesome ambience, you feel that you are sitting in the dining place of any Rajbari/Jamidarbari. Bengali cuisines are too good to taste, its a pure mouthwatering things.Well bahave staffs. One thing they should verify that the pricing of buffet per person is little bit higher. 5 star from my side till the next visit..☺️
The quality of food is gd .But now you will get only limited items. On puja u will surely get buffet, there r no a la carte menu available on puja time. Moreover i think the taste of food is not gd as much as earlier. But the staff behaviour and ambience r gd.If u wanna try bengali authentic food thn u should check the place one time..
I dont like criticizing but got no other choice. Visited the restaurant on Oct 10, 2021. Though it was quite crowded, the concerned manager allocated seats without a Delay. Coming about the food, it was horrible. Almost each food I.e., mutton, chicken, fish - none of them were upto the mark. Have been going to other branches of this brand but never felt so bad earlier. It was a wastage of money experience. I wont ever visit such place especially on holidays.
Being Tuesday & with less option due to lockdown we had to visit this place, which is very popular for NON VEG Food. But Veg items were OK-OK..Being a north Indian only problem you will have here the sweetness on each items...Even if you ask for spicy & they give their best it will be below par..But yes in desert BAKED-SANDESH was awasome.Ambience & service was superb by the way.
So right after the Lockdown Phase paved way for Unlockdown Phase, I and my friend went out for dining at a restaurant after more than 5 months. Initially we had plans to visit a buffet, but due to some unavoidable circumstances, we changed plans and rather went to have some authentic Bengali food from the à la carte menu of 6 Ballygunge Place, Eco Suite New Town branch. The foods that we ordered were :1) Steam Rice2) Moong Mohan Daal3) Posto Narkel Bora4) Katapona Kalia5) Karaishutir Kachori6) Dhakai Kalo Pora Mangsho7) Mishti DoiAnd I must Admit!!THIS PLACE SERVES THE BEST BENGALI CUISINE IN ENTIRE NEW TOWN!! Each and every dish were simply mouthwatering!! Its a must try for authentic Bengali food lovers.
Today I went here for celebrating my parents 30th anniversary. First time I tasted the food of 6 ballygunge place . Boked a table for total 4 persons.# Great Authentic Kingdom Atmosphere# Good Quality Food.# Behavior Polite and respectful. The buffet menu which we tasted in normal day wasKumroni,Luchi with kashmiri alur dom & Ghee dal,Sak, Alu & Kumro Bharta, Lebu , Lonka, rice, Sukto,Parse fish , doi chicken , Mutton, chatney, doi, misti and papad. Every items taste was awesome and great.Recommend you for visiting once and taste the real taste of Authentic bengali food.
Lovely ambience. Food is very tasty. Good place for family and friends.
Food quality was average. The place was too much cold and uncontrollable ac. Bcz of that we could not enjoy our lunch.
The food was good but service as average and attitude to serve was way below mark, a pure 3/5 place to eat.
Today I visit the restaurant with my friend and my experience with this restaurant is very bad. Their service is very bad. 1. They dont have basin for hand wash, they have toilet where you have to wait for hand wash. 2. They take huge time to serve the orders, you will half die by waiting for the food. 3. Price of each food items are very high.I will try not to visit this restaurant anymore.
A very well thought out lunch buffet spread..the taste brings you sheer joy.The staff are really helpful and courteous and the place is child friendly as well. Overall the go to place when you are craving for some true bangali soul food
Ambience - Perfect as per theme, pure Bengali style. Loved that.Food - Quality and taste was good. We went on the Christmas day so there was a special buffet they arranged with at least 15+ types of items. In regular days I dont think that much of varaities they arrange.Staffs - Polite and professionalLocation - Good
Nice ambiance and decor. Food is awesome. But the buffet is kind of dim. Lack of food supply and a very limited items in the buffet.
Amazing food, ambience can be improved but food is just way too good.. Truly authentic bengali restaurant.. Do checkout there buffet.
If you are looking for delicious bengali foods then this is the right place. The menu had all famous Bengali items like kosha mutton, bhuna chingri, chicken and behetki fish. For starters, bhetki fish roll was stupendous. The inside coating of the roll was made of bhetki fish and had a pure bhetki flavour which remains missing in most of the bhetki fish chop found in most of the stalls in kolkata. One should try luchi with mutton kosha. The mutton was soft and cooked well. The fat content was less in most of the pieces. Bhuna chingri was another dish to look out for with polao. Have to mention baked rasgulla and misti doi in dessert section. Both were good. You can try aloo r dam, narkel shorshe diye bhapa phulkopi ,papad chatni in small quantity.Ordered dab chingri from a la carte but it was a waste of money.it was nothing special and its just a simple bhapa chingri with slight taste of coconut milk.I am giving four stars. It is an ideal place for jamai shasti or durga puja.
As I love the food at the original 6 Ballygunj place, was thrilled when it opened up a branch in Newtown near my place. However, was a tad bit disappointed with the quality of buffet here. Though some food items were really delicious, such as, Doi Chicken, Mutton jhol, Dhokar Dalna, Baked Mihidana, other items left much to be desired. Fish items were not so good and the rice wasnt properly boiled. Polao was nice. Also the place was running out of food but taking a lot of time to refill. Appreciate the welcome drink and fries at start, but would be good to have some alternates as we were allergic to shrimps. Other than that nice ambience and friendly staff.
This restaurant is known for its bengali cuisine dishes. Very good taste. Tried fish fry and mocha chop which are starters. Main course mutton was good but could have been of better quality in terms of tenderness. Ambiance is nice. If you are going there with kids make sure they wear an extra layer of clothes as its quite chilly inside. Staff behavior is also good. Price is high as this is one of the expensive restaurants. If you are interested in Bengali cuisine then definitely this is recommended.
Amazing authentic bengali cuisine..must try the mangsher jhol.. literally it was melting in my mouth... another master piece was the baked mihidana..I am still hooked to that taste
Have been to 6 Ballygunge place multiple times, but it was my first time at the newly opened branch at Newtown. If you are coming from Haldiram this will be the island after city centre 2. As usual the food and the staff both are very good. We were a group of 10 and had ordered a lot of food items which costed me 10,800 bucks.Foods ordered wereMorola maacher peyajiMangsher chopGondhoraj chickenLuchiAlu domBhatMoong dalAlu bhajaMutton koshaChicken hariyaliChicken koshaBhetki paturiNolen gurer ice creamAll the dishes were good except the mangsher chop.
Well decorated and very clean place. Food quality is good. Fish fry, Pineapple chutney was awesome. Mutton was so so and chicken was not well cooked. Other Bengali items are just ok. Managers behavior is very bad rather rude. He doesnt even know how to behave with guests. Though rest of the staff are helpful, this is very very disappointing that customers are receiving this kind of behavior from such type of renowned restaurants. Management should look into and stop such kind of occurrences for the sake of their reputations.
The ambiance is really good. We opted for buffet menu for dinner, had fare bit of options. The food tasted really good. The hospitality was also much satisfactory.
Post the lockdown lifted, visited the place with my friend, the arrangements and the protocols to protect from the virus is the main focus for the restaurant, they have taken every protective measure to maintain the hygiene of the place, from shoe cover to single use bio degradable cutlery and crockery, the service has been improved as the set course is also now served on the table rather than keeping it on buffet, that gives an added advantage to the guest, coming to the food part, the food is awesome and mouth watering, I personally love their loochi and kosha mangsho, and also their Koraishutir Kachori... The pocket pinch is about 3000 for 2 with the entire course from startee to desserts...
Prior to my last visit, all the previous visit was pleasant. But on last visit I was told by their staff that they dont accept booking from EazyDiner, despite their existence in EaszyDiner app.
Had lunch at 6 Ballygunje place, Newtown today. Food was food, especially prawns & mutton. Earlier they used to have fish fry or bhetki paturi in the buffet but now it’s not there. This joint is not cramped for space like the Salt Lake one. Overall good experience, recommended for others too!
Went to The Wall.. but it was closed & we were seated at 6 bp..n server Chinese food.. the ambience didnt match our expectations n the food quality was so so .. the staff was cordial n helpful
The food is very good and the service is excellent. Little costly but it suits.
Great stuff.superb food.Great decor.Nice presentation.Super light food
They provide various dishes bengali and Chinese but prefer to go for bengali dishes here. Dab chingri, chingri bari chochuri , and also they have buffet. This place have bar section too. Nice after all.
This outlet in particular is not that great. We went on a Sunday, and it was not that populated yet the servers did not pay any attention. We took buffet and the servings were awful. Taste was not that great. We did not get one item and repeatedly on asking for that item, the waiter did not provide us with it. We asked for repeat of luchi and it came after quite a long time. Overall, avoid this outlet if you can.
Excellent dećor. Really nice food. For the people staying at Rajarhat who want to taste the greatness of 6 Ballygunj place but are too lazy to travel to the original one can treat their hunger here. Rest assured - youre going to love each and every item!Negative : The manager was impolite at the beginning, later apologized but the damage was done already. One star less for this, but rest of the stuff were definitely helpful.
Food is good but the behaviour of the service managers could have been better.
Its best among the top bengali cuisine restaurant. Taste and buffet is worth it
I tried Everything All the DishesIt’s mouth Watering Macher er Jhal Is what I liked the most ❤️
If you want have authentic Bengali food then go 6 BP.. very nice ambience.. delicious food.. have whatever you want to have just dont miss Gandhoraaj Ghol.. :)
A very good restaurant with great ambience as well as food ! I opted for the Buffet lunch and therefore my rating and review is strictly based on that. Priced at 650 Rupees, the buffet lunch had the following offerings -1. Laal Saag Bhaja2. Sorse Posto Alu Chokha3. Beguni4. Luchi5. Basmati Rice ( Saada Bhaat)6. Moong Dal7. Aloo Dum8. Chhanar Dalna9. Sorse Pabda Fish Curry10. Chicken Curry11. Mutton Kasha12. Mango (Aamer) Chatni13. Papad14. Misti Doi15. Gulab JamunEach and every item overall tasted really good. There is also the option of Ala-Carte menu with a vast range of items although they seemed to be at a higher price point.Liquor is also available at this place.P.S. - Specially recommend this place for people who have not yet tried Bengali Cuisine.
Visited this place for a team lunch. Opted for buffet which costs around 419 including tax. The ambience is wonderful. Chicken manchow soup was served at the table which was delicious. There were two veg and two non veg chicken starters. Main course we had chowmein, egg fried rice, two veg side dish and two non-veg side dish (chicken & fish). The fish item is a worthy mention along with the fried rice. In dessert there was custard, pastry , darshan and ice-cream. We took additional items like lime soda and cold drink. It was a good experience and the behaviour of the staff was courteous. Would love to visit again.
Visited this place few days ago . Its near cc2 new town. We tried their Lunch Buffet on weekdays and its cost us Rs 650+ tax .The ambiance was really good. I would say its one of the best 6 Ballygunge place outlet in terms of decoration ..Coming to the food . 6 Ballygunge never offers Starters in their Buffet Menu which is a down side but apart from that each and every item was delicious. The dessert section could have been better as only Mishti doi and Rossogolla was present .no ice cream no other sweets .My suggestion is if they can include some Starters and atleast ice cream with another type of sweets in the buffet menu then it will be a complete Bengali meal .The staffs were well behaved and always offered service with a smile face .
Nice place for Bengali food, but could be disappointing for veg. We went for dinner buffet but wasnt quite satisfied with starters and as a veg was very much disappointed.
Not more option to eat, not good for vegetarians and also north indian food is not available.
Very good for bengali food.
Loved everything here, food, ambiance and service.
Good pricing considering the quality. This is the Chinese cuisine outlet by the same agency which runs 6 Ballygunje Place. One gets some great items to choose from. Worth a try.Nice place to dine with friends and family.
A good bengali restaurant which could be liked by non bengalis as well. The dishes are tasty, even vegetarians can have some good options. The prices are on little higher side, else everything is good.
The wall is closed but few resturants are still open with delicious food
Love the taste of the food ... take away from Newton resturant... stuff responses was good. Overall I am happy with the experience. Puja time they serve us good tasty food .Today 18.04.2021 again visited for buffet lunch. It was a great experience. Simple tasty good food. Supporting stuff - very polite and well behaved. Like the simple bengali tasty Food.
Its good. But needs a bit modifications in general.
I went there with my elder brother. We liked the ordered items and the service was good.
Excellent ambience and great Bengali food...a bit high price but quality is excellent
Perfect place to eat bengali food 👋🥰♥️
Place is good..Food is also good...But too much over priced..Example a normal bisleri bottle of 1 lt is charged Rs 60 + GST.
The Only Words - Authentic Taste👌🏽👌🏽
Delicious bengal cusine
Extremely good ambience. Courteous service. Very helpful staff We ordered mango rasmalai and prawn with gravy of mango flavour, which were part of seasonal Litchi and Mango festival. We also had Bangali Muger Dal, Begun bhaja, Chatni, Papor . All of them were awesome.
Very well decorated, good and helpful staffs. Overall good experience
Buffet lunch at wall was awesome. The items were few but delectable and delicious. Every food was well made. The waiters and other stuff members are courteous and helpful. Very good service. The interior of the restaurant was in sync with the flavours of the restaurant. The egg fried rice was very tasty and must try out.
The have conviently modified the menu card . All Combo meals on the menu card have been market for parcel . On asking the manager we did not get any logical explanation. What I failed to understand is that why a dish can only be packed and not served if available.
Awesome place to visit with loved ones & have lunch
In my opinion, No value for money. Food is tasty. But week days Buffet costs Rs 683 and menu dont have minimum varieties. No welcome drink, no starter. In this price one can get double the variety in other Buffets.Just by the emotion and name of Bengali cuisine, running the show.Being in Bengal there is nothing special about this restaurant.
Quality food at good price. The price is at higher side but the service is good.
1. No board out front2. heavy on pocket3. The actual one has better taste
Too high prices, but good for one time visit.
Food was awesome..
Ambience was good. Food was just ok, notting special. Good service and price is on the higher side. Overall, if you want to taste bengali food or you dont get to eat bengali food at home you may give it a try.
Nice place , good food, well behaved staffs!
Authentic Chinese food, comfortable ambiance and with superb staff
Courteous staff, mouth licking food and exquisite Ambience
Great ambience, great food for bengalis, last experience was better, so this time 4 stars
Amazing place.. Good food. The five star is for the staff who are extremely friendly and well mannered. Love the place. Love the food. Should have a cot or pram for the infant😀
Amazing experience. Great ambience. Ample parking spot. Went for Sunday buffet. Great spread. Loved it overall.
Got a hair in Mutton..Only Chicken was good..
Nice ambience . Lovely decor tastefully done in the style of old aristocratic households of Bengal . Authentic Bengali food with subtle taste . Value for money , I would say , considering the food and ambience . On the whole a satisfying experience .
Heavenly Dinner (Rice,Daal,Aaloo bhaja, and boneless hilsa in mustard gravy) enjoyed simplicity 😊 That fish gravy was a mastercraft (6 stars for the chef)
Very good behaviour and service
Doi Mutton u must try .. awesome
Loved the ambient, food was very testy and hygienic.
Very poor service. Mutton quality substandard. Broken tables. Less parking space.
Good ambience. Reasonable price. Food is not up to the mark.
Very good place for bengali cuisine
Great place.Loved the ambience. All personnel are wearing masks. Hygiene accessories are also given. Disposable plates and spoons are also given. The food is awesome. Social distancing is also maintained. Waiters are very courteous. The ambience of traditional Bengali household is very nice
Very nice place and lovely food
The buffet at d THE WALL was very nice
