Good south Indian food.

Can you pls tell us, why the khobar branch is closed.

Prime location, mediocre taste, the interior and decors need a fresh life as they are too old and horrendous.Service could be much much better. Feels like the employees do not care for the restaurant any longer.The owners definitely need to look into it.An iconic chain of restaurants in India and its no where close to it here in Bahrain.

Poor service. At the right place near to pakistan club. Place and restaurant is old. Decent but the staff is out numbered.Sambar idly is very good. They also have Indian sweets and snacks counter.

Visit before 10 PM, if you want all the options especially thali meals. Prices are reasonable. Hygiene can be improved. Service is quick.

This is a popular Indian vegetarian cuisine restaurant. The menu is varied and includes both south and north Indian items. The south items can be very spicy, and it is a good idea to enquire before ordering. I would suggest the North Indian Thali for those who love Indian food but cant bear its spicy taste. For me, the highlight of the menu is the South Indian filter coffee that is served in the traditional stainless steel cup-and-bowl. The food is very reasonably priced. Parking can be quite a problem in this area.

Thal is the best option for dinner

Superb vegetarian restaurant. Fully enjoyed the food. It felt like home in India for a while.

I went with my wife to uave a Thali at lunch today...since they had two types of Thali, one Bombay Thali at 1 BD and another one North Indian Thali @1.4 BD wI ordered both.I must say I was really disappointed when the Thalis arrived...the waiter brougut 4 chapatis in both Thalis n whenI asked for Poori instead of chapatis he refused saying we cannot change ..I told him he should have asked us if we wanted chapati or Poori...after some heated discussions he agreed to bring Pooris ..The Thali looked same...both thalis had only four types of vegetables includ8ng a howl of dal...food was not really hot...the North Indian Thali had a soup n one veg dish also...overall we did not liked the Thali at Saravana Bhavan...though we like the Dosa at this place.There are other Indian restaurants in Manama offering mouth watering Induan Thali...around BD 1.8 hut unlimited quantity.. at Saravana Bgavan we wete told noth8ng can be given extra...no refills...really a bad experience for us. .

Best vegetarian restaurant in Manama. Foodies can taste the real Tamilnadu dishes. But nowadays, the way the person who handles the order over phone is not at all satisfied. An attitude way of talk. But permanently closed now

Need more attention on guests order like serving time and right order, specially in weekends. Rest all ok.I had visited with my 6 friends on weekend and the server who took order he served food for all but one order he was totally forgot and after waiting more than waiting time, we asked him about the order then he realized and brought when everyone had finished their food.

The best garlic naan, mango lassie and vegetable korma ever. Great value but dont go for a candle lit ambience as this is not that sort of restaurant. If your just after great food that wont empty your wallet rather than a dining experience this is the place.

Good option for vegetation breakfast. But the taste of foods are not up to the standards of Saravanaa Bhavan, as i have tasted in different branched in India, Singapore and Saudi Arabia.

I loved saravana restaurant they have great food and its best for vegetarians and indian cuisine lovers i had their dosa and stir fry vegetables with their special sauces and it was delicious and a great place for family dine in.

Started 2018 with a masala dosa from here.Service is not up to the mark. Too much time for an order.(Recommended for couples who want to chit-chat without any disturbance.)

The veg Manchurian here is the most weird and worst I ever had. Not a single piece of Manchurian was a full dumpling. Only the chef knows what he prepared. Paneer Chilly was way below average. When enquired with the staff, we learnt that they have different chefs for week days and weekend. Weekdays experience was so disappointing that I wont attempt another visit ever.

Wish i could give zero! Unhygenic and poor quality, risk yourself before you eat!

This is the worst vegetarian restaurant in Bahrain. Sangeetha and Gowri Krishna offer the best taste and value. This restaurant hasnt improved an inch since we last visited years ago. Even the paint and interiors remains as is with no maintenance at all. Avoid at all cost.

With lot of expectation we went to Saravana Bhavan in Bharin (the old hotel ) We were totally disappointed with the ambience of the hotel and the service is third rated. Even the plate looks to old which people feel bad Food and taste is moderate. I this hotel is out of line for the management.

We went at about 5:30 in the evening, ordered a tea without sugar, a salt Lassie​ and vada. What kind of veg hotels do not have vada at that time. N tea was filled with sugar. N the staff quality was way too poor even to their standards
