Too crowdy place to take tickets for all local passenger and long trains. Even season pass are also distributed in same counter. Due that time consumptions are somewhat high good station maintenance and customer service. Need to maintain more cautiously because street dogs are roaming in station

Famous and Super Railway Station in Chennai. but also here 2 problems that people facing everyday in this place that is in 2 & 3 Platforms are not covered with all Places mainly the dont cover the Ladies Compartment at both the ends are not covered with light and another problems theres a tower bridge most of them not using because it Doesnt facing a towards a railway Station and it is not connect the 2 & 3 Plot forms They have separate staircase they should concentrate on main tower bridge because thats a main to connect a ambattur O.T bus stand 100 peoples crossing railway track walking on it not the bridge thats main reason for a 3 Stars

Station has shelter for bad weather, well lit. Train announcement system is alright. Computerized ticket counter. Both EMU & fast EMU have stops here. Two foot overbridges, No subway. ATM within railway premises. Rest room is not always available for use. Local market is built around this station. Most of the workers from in and around Ambattur I.E use this station.

Need to increase the platform length 24 coaches to stop express trains and need to construct the additional platforms, Ambattur station having huge space, Mas & Msb fast local are not stoped on ambattur station because not availability of platform on another side in the fast line recently announced the saptagiri express to stop in ambattur but the platform length is too short so need to take action immediately to increase the platform length and Need stoppage for both direction all fast local, and expresses like yelagiri, tirupathi express, brindavan, coimbatore intercity express, dadar, mangalore express, dehradun, and trivandram mail many people using this facility to reach our destination without reaching Chennai central and the traffic to be decreasing in Chennai central area.

Ambattur is one of the Old Railway Station in Chennai Central-Thiruvallur Suburban Route. In Earlier there were no Stations between Ambattur and Avadi. Now there are 2 Stations, namely Annanur and Thirumullaivoil. But it is a pity the Railway Station has not seen improvements it deserves. There is no Decent Platform Refreshment Stall as available in all the Stations in Beach-Tambaram Route. Though Ambattur is as much a Developed Place like Avadi, not even a Single Electric Train starts from here, whereas 6 or 7 Trains start from Avadi. Railway Should initiate steps immediately to Start a EMU from Ambattur to Chennai Central at least during Peak Hours like St. Thomas Mount Return EMU Local in Chennai Beach-Tambaram Section.Market and Bus Stop are Located very near to the Railway Station.
