It looked a nice airport to me. This was my second visit to the airport and it looked neat but smaller in size than most of the tier 1 cities airport. The airport had some food joints such as KFC, French loaf, Subway and Pizza Hut as well. All food joints at one place near Gate number 1. Which is convenient in a way. Buy that depends from person to person. Overall a good experience from the airport.

I had a chance to visit this airport twice. Every time I bewitched with beauty of Southern India art - culture and the mixed of modern age technology. There are many sculpture which show the south indian respect for their tradition. The full area is well maintained and cleanliness is good quality. The airport staff also have admirable behaviour. Many food court are available there. I got some Pizza and burger from Pizza Hut and KFC.

The airport as any other capital state airport has all the amenities and services to ease commute. Morning and evening gets busy so do make sure youre 2hours before departure time.Post check in there are an array of shopping options and food menus too but the one that stands out is the first floor south Indian restaurant serving authentic thali and food.At the departure gate just next to the baggage belt 1 leads to the metro station. Outside area has separate counters for ola and uberOverall a well maintained and well connected airport.

Good airport with well maintained infra.Ground floor is for arrival and 2nd floor is for domestic departure(T1).T2 is for international departure. It has some well known shopping in- stores, private lounge, copper chimney restaurant, food court to name a few.

It was Nice experience, but they are stuffing people in bus there were no social distance. And they should provide gloves also in that kit. It would be more nice. Other than it was nice.

This airport is located near to city. Having access to city via buses, local trains and metro trains. Very big airport and cleanly maintained. We have all facilities available here. The food alone costly as usual which is applicable in all airport, that has to be reduced. Otherwise wonderful experience here in this airport.

Its high time the management should find a way to expedite security screening by increasing both the staffs and screening equipment. Even during Covid-19 situation with reduced passenger footfall there was a long standing queue waiting to proceed for the security check.Lounges were closed when visiting on Oct 2020 but they were operating at a separate counter providing packed food of our choice.

It’s not what i expected. Maybe due to covid protocols and their renovation process. But I thibk theyre short of manpower. They Dont have some good options for drinking. I found maximum store closed. Dont know whats the reason.

Good airport for major connecting flights.None of the food canopies were opened. Better to refill yourself if in case planning to have food at the airport.However we have a canteen down the metro station. You have to pay for the items before you have the food.Food is okay there.

Chennai international airport is one of the best airport in India.Parking is huge.It is connected with metro from main railway station Chennai central.People dont need to spend lot of money on cab.Metro is fast. Cabs may stuck in traffic and will be late to make it to airport.I recommend everyone to get metro.Decent number of chairs outside to sit outside the airport and send their loved ones.Relatives can get pass and even go to special entrance to see the person who is going to travel after they are done with their check-in. I am not sure about how many people are allowed and how long can they stay there.Very quick immigration, security check and everything is fast. I visited there to travel Mumbai They have electric vehicle at airport to make your luggage shifting to security check easily.Support staff are available at airport for shifting of luggage till security gate to assist passenger for old people and ladies.Inside the airport, it is very neat and clean. If you need any information regarding gate info, any particular shop, waiting lounge, they provide it immediately.All the food items, drinking water bottle are available but little bit pricey Chennai airport is located in city, so we can reach there in very less time. Even there is metro train to airport.That’s reason I like this airport.

First time travel after the pandemic .No sanitizing or temperature checks at the entry point.Though social distancing is recommended it is not followed in the ques for security check at entry to airport terminal and at the main security check. Baggage scanning is chaotic as well. Life is back to normal here !Post check in , waiting area seats are clearly marked to maintain social distancing , again reminder that pandemic is not over !

I was here as a Domestic Transit Passenger in my trip to the Port Blair. Due to some technical issues, the transit passengers were required to collect the baggage from earlier flight and check the baggage with customs at the Chennai Airport before the next flight. The airport staff, customs officers were very cooperative. They asked us few questions and let us go. The airline staff collected our baggage from there and then we proceed to our flights.The Airport is nice. The infrastructure is good. It was Christmas Week, so the airport was fully decorated for Christmas.

Connectivity from City to Airport via metro is very convenient. Frequency of metro is at an internal of 20 minutes at a reasonable rate. From the Airport metro station to Airport is a 5 minutes walk with clear floor markings & flight information updates (TV) at regular intervals.Inside the airport, there is self check-in & boarding pass printing kiosk, sufficient eatery stalls & shops.You wont find sufficient seating provision for passengers before the security check-in.

Chennai Airport is a decent airport with decent services. For an airport of this size it has nothing special and the airport is very lack lustre. Even after multiple years of passing through the airport Im yet to see any changes. Their should be better waiting areas, regulations on overpriced commodities and also make the airport look better. Even the restrooms need better maintainace. They should also ensure that they adopt better crowd management methods. People are being packed together which is not great during these times. Security should also ensure that people actually wear their masks at all times.

Its more cleaner now...Arrival and Departure Drop and pick points are well managed...Namma Chennai has got the New Tray Return System which eases the Security frisking more easier...and after Covid Lots of Screening but things are more easier now...No boarding passes as we print it out...No stamping at security checking in boarding almost everything has become digital now....We need to wear the Body Suit, Face Shield and the Mask provided by the airlines before we board the Aircraft.....Lounges are closed and they provide packed food if needed, they have seperate counter for that..So its Easy and Safe...We need to get Adapted to the New Normal..

Nice airport. The terminal is well maintained and has very good natural light.Chennai metro is well connected to the airport. You can easily get to Chennai central via metro from airport for just ₹70.The self check-in machines worked well. If you dont have extra luggage to check-in, make sure to use the self check-in machines.Restrooms are well maintained and very clean.The gate area in domestic terminal was just average. The runaways are quite far so you cant really enjoy flights taking off or landing.

Nice airport...I went to send off my friend. I was dropping her luggage and went back to car and my car was locked by then. I tried to explain, that i was not there to stay, i just came to drop. I paid 500rs as fine. There should be a time limit for cars in dropping zone.

One of the best airports in the country, faced some issues in the past of breaking the roofs. Very fast security checkups and immigration as well. Good outer gardens and vast parking area. User friendly with several food court on and off the airport. Beautiful atmosphere, there is no seating facilities for the people who wait for receiving the passangers.

Airport security check is very good. Its well maintained. I also see construction is going on outside the domestic terminal. This airport is a silent airport. So announcement will not be made keep check your flight number in display board. But no one was available to check temperature for travellers in this covid time.

This airport is one of the biggest and international levelled but frankly speaking, I dont like to tell this airport as international airport. The airport has everything a traveler needs. There are two terminals at Chennai Airport- domestic and international. It takes around 10 min by walking to reach from one terminal to other one. Duty free shop is pretty small but has a lot of verity to offer. You will also find major food outlets at the airport. The lounge at international terminal is small and less seating capacity. Overall it is a decent airport.

Its Indias forth largest and fifth busiest airport.Well maintained and clean , parking lot.Direct flights with Colombo,abu dhabi,dubai,singapore,hong kong, london, frankfurt,tokyo,kuala lampur, bangkok etc.There are two run way and enough space for the air craft movement.A large number of international connectivity and communication with the city is good.Metro, rail,bus,Traci,cab everything is available.

This airport has improved a lot since its inception and it has areas where it needs to improve. Like the parking and waiting areas. The facilities are impressive which includes the park like structure near the parking and the metro rail facility. The run way can be smoothened out in my opinion. I also wish that the security people and others knew Tamil here as I majority of people coming and struggling with them often.

Another Indian Airport which is large spacious, neat and yess service is very fast .Seating and other facilities are available all around .The airport staff is also very cooperative and helpful .They take an extra step to help us .The eateries also good .Copper chimney can be tried specially if you are a vegetarian .It is also reasonably priced .Outside the airport Madras Coffee .They serve really nice filter coffee . Open 24×7 .There were other shopping outlets which could be explored but we did not have much time .Maybe next time.Keep up with your hospitality .

Widely connected to places around the globe, 24/7 hard working ground staff as well as well trained staff speaking different languages like Hindi, English, Tamil, other regional languages too. Only thing that annoyed me was the mosquitoes otherwise it would be a 5 star rating.

I wish this airport which i frequent improves. Domestic terminal is way better than international. Immigration taken about an hour, baggage takes another hour minimum.. so its safe to inform your pickup to arrive after 120 mins from the landing time.

Nice airport only the public transport bus facilities need to walk a long distance. The airport has T1 and T2. T1 being INTERNATIONAL TERMINAL and T2 being DOMESTIC TERMINAL. All Departure gates are on the 3rd floor and is dropped through flyover bridge and arrival gate at ground floor. Has Metro Station as well as local passenger station connected by subway Thirusulum. Has both 2 wheeler and 4 wheeler paid parking stands. Has TAXI POINTS OLA, UBER, FAST TRACK and local taxis.

You should be prepared to spend minimum of 30 minutes for security at chennai airport to put your belongings in the X ray machine and thereafter 10 minutes for physical checking . After putting the bag I notice the person screening changes and it takes time for another person to take chargeThis happens every 15 to 20 minutes. It is very Imporant that the bags are screened properlyBut there should be some mecahniaim to minimize the time at the security and fortunately for me my flight was delayed.Please therefore plan for 40 to 45 minutes for security check besides enteringbthe airport and taking the boarding pass.I am saying as you should not miss the flight and I hope chennai airport authorities would take measures to minimize the time spent

Well maintained Airport. I used to travel from 2008 till today. Even the earlier airport and the renewed airport, I can see the perfection of cleaning and maintaining it well for benefit of the guests. Any one can read English can view every display boards and can self proceed without anyones guidance.
