Basin Bridge railway station, is a Junction and the Confluence of the Nullah and Buckingham Canal in Chennai, India. The Madras boating Club operates rowing events in this place. Basin Bridge is also a station an the Chennai Suburban Railway. This Station is neat and tidy and more than 10,000 people travel from this station everyday

The station were train towards North and west parts away through their dedicated rail line. The biggest problem to be engineered is the signal system and multiple loop line issue on north line. Station is improving significantly in all terms. Seating arrangements in platform must be organised and cleanness drive should conducted around the clock.

It is a station (place) from which different parts of Chennai,Tamil Nadu and different states of India .This station though it was important station which connects every train to different place as very few tracks so if a Express gonna pass by this route means obviously the local train need to wait for high amount of time especially till the train reaches a safe distance from local train(Especially local train from basin bridge junction to gummudipundi need to wait lot of time that to in number of layovers
