I went to IISC to attend a seminar in my btech second year,it was an amazing experience with the environment and with the people studying there.A lot of grenary inside the college,there is a separate flowers garden is there in the college.Nice food courts (non-veg + veg).Zoom cycles are available all over the college to move inside the college.Finally i visited the top college in India.

IISc is the best among the equal. You cant leave this institute without becoming a good scientist in your domain.

Ahhh am not a student here... Just happened to come here as a visitor... So i for one should refrain in all humility to speak on academic excellence, administration body, faculty, campus (canteens, food, hostels, hostel mess)...Just as a visitor what compelled me the most is the stunning Greenery of the campus and the simple old fashioned architecture with a lil gothic touch to it.Their main building esp. kinda resembles the old gothic style with its roofs, balconies, arches, gateways, towers...etcThen i was completely amazed by their stone architectures esp. the stony pillars as the passageways that are carved out right amidst the trees & plants.On greenery, am just short of words and infact no words are capable enough to describe its prized beauty....on a serious note, the students should be proud that they get to live at such places. The pics i share would do a better justice so as to reflect their green campus within the zone of reality.Lil things:- the lil things that made feel good and comforting are as below.a) their campus dogs had collar belts on them.b) their guards (visitors pass) & the admin faculty [centre for continued education (cce block), am sorry i dont remember the legit name] were very approachable & friendly.c) i just got to interact with 4-5students..all of them were really great and 2 of them infact showed me the way to their canteen.d) even their service staff were real cool enough to spare some time & give us directions to sandal soap factory metro station.e) their canteen is seriously good... Pls i have been to Eflu, Cuk and visit some more like Hcu, Osmania, gug, pondicherry uni.... Trust me guys ur canteen is much better, cleaner and the variety of food options is also at a better range..... And esp. the lady cashier is spot on... She was real quick and i was so clumsy while transacting and she was cool with it.

INDIAN INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY is one of the best institution in India.Neat and clean campus.Its maintain the greenery. Roads are very clean and one good canteen and supermarket inside the campus. One attraction is Kendria Vidyalaya is very near to it. Overall its a nice institution!.

The brain child of Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata, a successful businessman and philanthropist, the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) was conceived in the late 1800s. To this end, Tata set up a provisional committee under the leadership of Burjorji Padshah, an educationist, to come up with a blueprint for the proposed university. The committee drafted a plan which went through several iterations before it was finalised. Tata also endowed a substantial part of his personal wealth for this ambitious project.Unfortunately, Tata died in 1904, well before the Institute came into existence. It was eventually established, through a vesting order passed on 27 May 1909 by the Indian Government, in the southern city of Bengaluru on 371 acres of land donated by the Mysore Durbar.The Institute which started with just two departments – General and Applied Chemistry and Electrical Technology – today has over 40 departments spread across six divisions: Biological Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Electrical Sciences, Interdisciplinary Research, Mechanical Sciences, and Physical and Mathematical Sciences. It also has a new campus at Challekere in Chitradurga district in Karnataka.

Superior one..

I studied at IISc Bangalore from 1978 to 1981 and it was indeed a great experience. Coming from North of India (New Delhi) I could not believe we have such institutions of excellence in ur country and where students were treated so well. The teaching staff was highly credible but very humble and learning in such an environment was a pleasure.The hostels were fine but mess provided a variety of food at an affordable cost that was really admiring. The SAP or Student Assistanceship Program provided opportunities to earn some money by working in the library, Gymkhana Library or selling food coupons in the mess. The students came from all parts of India and some were real genius. The institute provided excellent health care facility at no cost to the students. I share my experience of the three years with my family and friends and there is no match to that even in overseas univeristies....

Literally THE best place to research in India. The campus is not too big and in the heart of Bangalore. They have these E-Rickshaws to go around the campus for 5rs a ride. Great canteens with good and cheap food. Great labs with world class facilities. The professors are really great. The students also are very helpful and inquisitive. The gym and hostels also are worth mentioning. The gym is slightly small but equipped to handle basic needs. The hostels are similar. What strikes out is the beautiful campus all around. Cant get over this place.

This is a 108 year old institute, it is one of the best in fact No.1 Institute in India. Apart from that, this place is very huge, covered with an area of 435 acres. This is like a heaven for students. Everything is available here almost from food to swimming pool. This is one of the famous place in India, covered with lot of varieties of trees, plants etc etc. Atmosphere in this place is very pleasant and energetic. It will just give you a feeling that be in love with studies again. I love this place.

Green and clean campus. The main attraction of the campus is the greenery. We can seen very big trees all over the campus. The entire campus is clean and no waste or plastic can be seen there. 👍 The natural beauty of this campus is very beautiful and pleasant.👍 The campus can be spent all day on this large campus if nature is a loving person.👍 There are plenty of vegetarian cuisine in the restaurant and there are lots of delicious vegetarian food here.👍 Heres the price of which food is normal and cheap.👍 The Behaviour of all the staff and officers is unparalleled. Although the language has varying varies, it is fitting and sincere.

This is the place I love most in Bangalore. Once you are inside this campus, you feel a certain peace, leaving the Bangalore behind outside the gate. The best thing about this campus are the huge old trees, cooling down the temperatures a couple of degrees than the rest of the city. Then the academic ambience is the best I have seen, befitting its status as the top academic institution in the country

The best place in Bangalore Ive ever seen. The sad part is its open to public only once in a year thats on the OPEN DAY. So many trees in campus. I hope the institute management maintains the rich vegetation in campus and doesnt cut down trees for any reason. Ive been there to see my friend few times each and every time its a new experience.

I am not a student, but got an opportunity to walk around the campus, since one of my friend studied there. Beautiful campus you really need to walk to get the feel of the nature. There are plenty of old trees, located off the city. There is a canteen inside the campus which serves good vegetarian food and value for money. Its also a place where making of scientists happens :-)

Good good environment

Did a 2 month internship here, people are very friendly and all speak english while the food at the mess is pretty good. Science is cutting edge even if some of the buildings look outdated (may have changed since 2012). A great place to come study as a foreigner IMO.

This place is so lovable, livable, and so well maintained that you will forget that you are in a city and start believing that you have come into a new world of excellence. Attended a seminar here. Lots of greenery, neat straight roads, fantastic atmosphere, cool and calm with some of the best faculties in India and abroad to teach you! What else do you need for studies?

The campus has a beautiful environment which also acts as a laboratory for its research departments including climate change, Primate lab,etc. A must visit for students with a scientific inclination to really show you how some of the sharpest and smartest in the world think.

Open House Day:-It was a amazing experience to visit various departments at IISC. Thanks to Administration, Staff and Students in organizing such an event. The Masrers and Doctoral students took extra efforts to explain a host of scientific principles in simple language.
