The staff in the Coleraine branch were very friendly and helpful. I picked up a very reasonably priced Nintendo 64, with a controller included at no extra cost. Looking online, the prices that they buy your games and gadgets are a little low, but thats to be expected if they want to keep their selling prices low and still turn a profit.(and its a great way to clear space on your shelf for some quick cash) I will definitely be visiting other branches in the near future.

Fantastic shop for buying games. Got Miitopia (3DS) for £12, when it is £40 on Nintendo eShop. Many legacy consoles (such as GameCube, Xbox 360, Nintendo 64, 2DS and more) were as low as £50!Newer games however do not get the same ultra low price treatment obviously, but still better than retail. Nintendo switch games around £40 (retail £50) which is still good. I do also have to point out that it is a ripoff to sell stuff here. Although eBay takes more effort and patience, you get a decent price there compared to HERE. You get about 1/3 of the CEX value (which is the ultra cheap prices). But other than that, perfectly great shop. Best place to get a good deal or simply a little look around.

It is really good. Prices are weak though because sometimes the 2nd hand price is the same or more than buying the game new. It is mostly packed but the 50p movie rack is my favourite because it is sooo cheap.

I had purchased a laptop from them and when myself and my son took it home it wouldnt update the apps we returned to the store the next day and they tried to sort it out but they were unable to so they refunded my money back which a lot of other companies wouldnt do

Great selection of stock between a wide range of games console and DVDs but staff could do with speeding up a bit, Im often in the queue for at least 10-20 minutes and maybe smiling, they never seem to be happy any time Im in there.

Dont waste your time the staff dont care about you or your devices all they care about is their pay day.....they lied to my face about when to come and collect my device and when I went down at the time they said they closed and when asked they just shut the door in my face I wont be going back there again worse CEX EVER

Found a music dvd that was to be a gift for my dad but when I tried to pay for it she said she couldnt find the disc. When I asked how long it would take to find it she couldnt give me a straight answer. I told her wed have to leave it (Im only visiting for a few days) but still wanted the other 9 discs. She carried on the transaction in a huff. Having returned to my hotel I have discovered she didnt even put my receipt in the bag or bothered to take the last three discs out of the plastic sleeve.She was the least friendly and helpful person weve met on this visit to Belfast. And clearly the store needs a thorough tidy.

Staff use any old excuse to avoid paying you the quoted price which is already be below the market value of your item. My advice would be to sell elsewhere youll get more and only use Cex as a last resort.Ann Street store stink of Body Odour, must be company policy that prevents staff using deodorant.

Went in several times during the week. Second person in line each time, and all tills open, yet somehow still waiting 15-20minutes a time. Faster to go to another CeX than wait here.

I love cex, however its in-store queue management is awfully slow. I appreciate that people come with bags of games and DVDs to sell and that they all need checked, priced and devices need tested but you just need full staff at the tills. I see 5-6 tills and usually 2 staff.Especially for people at lunch looking to buy a few items, a long queue is a deal breaker.Great prices, great selection, just dont have 20-30min to spare.

One of the larger stores. The top floor is dedicated to DVDs, whereas the bottom is where the tech, games and blurays are kept. Staff seem friendly as usually in their stores, and its great to find the odd bargain.

I was in this store today to buy a DVD. A customer in front of me was selling what appeared to be their entire DVD collection. While I was standing in line, 2 or 3 of the shop assistants were busy helping this customer and another was busy with someone else wanting to sell something. At that point there was no one behind the counter to help the customers wanting to buy items. After a wait of 10 minutes (and a huge line forming behind me), there was finally someone available.This guy, who appeared to be the youngest clerk on the floor, went to look for the DVD disc for me. After another 10 minutes and what seemed to be some random perusing on his side, he came back to tell me that unfortunately he had looked through everything and was unable to find the disc. I told him Id seen at least three covers upstairs and that there had to be at least one disc in the place to go with these. A senior assistant then commented that there were 5 in inventory according to the system and that the young guy should go look again. After 5 more minutes of browsing I decided Id wasted enough time and told him it was no longer necessary to find the disc.Quite a disappointment. In the end I bought the DVD at a charity shop. Im very glad my money is going to a good cause rather than into the pockets of this stores somewhat incompetent staff.

Always great service. Game I bought had a broken box and was allowed to switch for a better condition one. Other shops havent let me do so. Also theyve got a great free warranty length (2years).

This is the largest CeX store in Ireland it turns out and they have a great selection of electronics and more. Definitely a better store to drop into if youre looking for a wider selection of items or colours.

1p trade in price for an LG K4 2017, mint condition working 100% and included original box when bought new... Because it had a hairline crack thats just about noticeable and I didnt even know it had a hairline crack until the tester brought it up, they refuse to regrade it from an A to a B condition and offered the most shocking and ridiculous as well as insulting price of just a penny for it.. Rather than the price of it being a B grade of around £28 which would have been acceptable to me as they originally stated due to the immaculate condition it was in and in perfect working order the trade in price was £39 cash.. Tried to stroke me in coming off with bullsxxt about the cost of a new screen which it didnt even need as the crack was just microscopic that wasnt a major issue with the working of the handset in any way and tried to fog me of with the price of a non working handset of just a penny.. Geg!

You can get second hand items in great condition for great prices. Its also easy to find anything you want because its organised well with clear sections full of different things.

Not a great place. Not particularly well priced and generally the staff can be pretty disinterested and not particularly helpful. Good if youre looking to trade in quickly but I wouldnt generally recommend shopping here.The selection is variable to poor and shelves are mixed up regularly.

Its alright if youre buying online but for this branch alone, Its got major problems with dealing with queues, and then displaying items. That with it offering less diverse games than the other stores outside the city. If your an avid gamer, its not for you. Its for the common crowd that blindly into Fifa, buy phones or just dont research anything at all with what theyre buying that needs fixed. Sometimes the prices are a bit much for games that have been found to cost less by other means. The waiting times are awful, its gets irritating seeing people with zero knowledge on technology wasting so much time at the till.

Terrible. That sums up my feelings towards this establishment. I wasted £130 on an Xbox that just breaks after one month of normal use, a few hours on Saturday and that’s it. Works perfect for about 10 minutes, then shuts off. Please do not purchase anything here, it is extremely used most of the time and will most likely break. Went to return it however it was too busy; there were only six other people in the shop. Terrible customer support and lack of respect, almost as if it is an abomination to return to them a broken device they gave you. Would never buy from here again. Always choose GAME, it’s only a few minutes walk away from this pile of pure and utter garbage. If you have read this I encourage and BEG you to not make the same mistake I made. AVOID CEX AT ALL COSTS!

I would frequent this place to build my collection of season 3 boxsets of Buffy the vampire Slayer I now have 32 boxsets of season 3 I hope to beat the record of 51 which is currently held jointly by this shop in particular and and some fellow named Joss wheadon who ever the hell that is but this wee shop refused to sell me any more because they suspect Im trying to break their records which I am and I will. there are plenty more season three boxsets out there and I will get them and I will hold the record and finally move on too season four also they couldnt source me a copy of weekend at Bernies

Terrible customer service experience in the store today. I was not impressed with the young girl serving me, she was incompetent. I was trading in DVDs and she told me three different prices before she figured out the actual price I was going to receive for the DVDs. She set my expectations high and then when the total had decreased she did not seem to care that I wasnt impressed with her service. I will not be going back to this store

Traded in an OG xbox one (which I wasnt expecting much for). Was told that the controller was ghosting, which in fairness could have been the case (it hasnt been switched on in 2 months). Was offered £30 trade in and £11 cash because I had to buy a controller from them to sell to someone else! Anyway, dont really have time or space for the xbox, so took credit. Got 3 PS4 games and starfox 64 on 3DS! Until I opened up starfox 3ds and inside was the awful starfox command for ds! Kinda wish I had stripped the xbox for parts. Buying stuff is usually 100% though, and the staff (and their taste in music) is top drawer

Was in the store today-and I qued for atleast 20+ mins to buy one boxset (I ended up leaving it because the service was so slow and I was still queing) There was about 7 or 8 staff members on the floor-a HUGE que and only one lady taking sales. It was absolutely ridiculous. Not one other staff member thought it would be a good idea to help with the que and left the one lady dealing with the customers. There wasnt even anyone in the buying que so there was 4 lads just sitting there. Shocked at how bad the customer service was. Besides that one lady with the brown hair on sales-not one person seemed to care about the store-their job or the customers. Very disappointed and leaving without the blu ray I wanted just added to the negative experience.

Well overpriced for second hand goods and the price they offer you for exchange is shocking your better just buying the product new. Eg xbox 1s with 1 controller and game 2nd hand is £160 the same price as a new 1 advise to avoid since they buy the console of customers for 80-90 advise to avoid at all cost
