Three of us dined at Monthien Restaurant last night. Every mouthful was delicious! The desserts are better than they sound on the menu.The service was good and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Well done Monthien!

Never again. Terrible service, raw meats, staffs cannot understand English (did they not go to school),no communication between front of house and kitchen. Theyve completely forgotten our meal with each dish weve ordered as well as drinks. How hard can it be? Do not come here... the only enjoyable thing about this place is the congnac lighting.

Had to come back again, food was amazing. Started with fresh prawn spring rolls followed by chicken in oyster sauce. Staff were very accommodating, always a welcoming smile at the ready.Lovely friendly people, amazing atmosphere, neat and clean premises and best of all great food. Red Thai curry was a real find.

Special place. Excellent atmosphere! Sweet service and Gorgeous food! Just loved money bag filling and would be back just for that! And Satay sauce just beautiful! Really happy with all I had!

We were just walking by and saw this cosy restaurant and decided to try it. We were lucky to get a table on a busy Saturday evening and the staff cheerily welcomed us. The atmosphere was great; just the right level of lighting, convivial diners, and the two of us were given a little table that had a bamboo screen on the side, which allowed us to have our own little pocket of privacy.We ordered the sizzling lamb and seafood dishes, served with rice, and the flavors were rich and satisfying. Healthy portion sizes but not so much that we couldnt finish. Plenty of good veggies came with the mains. While we didnt have enough room for dessert on this occasion, they still brought a little basket with 4 Oreo cookies and several tasty mints to enjoy.Would love to return to this fine restaurant one day. It is an asset to Milford. Easy to get Street parking nearby, too.

Thai restaurant in Milford menu offers all the usual kind of options you would expect in a Thai restaurant. We had a mix entree consisting of small bite size options including prawns, satay skewer etc. Both mains we had were good prawn pad thai and chicken red curry largish portion sizes. Fairly standard pricing. Would eat here again.

Ordered takeaways from here. Food was delicious. They did miss a dish from our order but exceeded our expectations when they hand delivered it, to our address, with a block of chocolate. Best customer service ever. 5 stars! Thank you To the lovely staff at Monthien!

This is my favourite Thai! It is so yummy and the staff are very friendly. There is some parking out back, otherwise it is street parking. It is reasonably priced and they also do take away.

It was a busy night the restaurant want packed, food was fresh & presented well and the restaurant owner and chef even came out to engage with his customers. Excellent and would highly recommend!

Took over an hour for takeaways. Even when asked is that ours were told no, then givin them 15 min later, so bad. The other place in Milford is quick, good and well priced I suggest going there...

Made the mistake of ordering takeaway via menulog tonight. Eta 30min after order which was slow enough. 15 min after eta, called to check on the way. As i live 5min drive from Milford, called again 15 min later, on the way - when pressed for real eta just got phone passed around, really on the way this time, eventually arrived another 15min. But still gets 3 stars as was very good once it arrived

Ordered a takeaway Massaman curry tonight and was very disappointed with the portion. Only 5 little pieces of meat and the rest sauce and vegetables. Won’t be ordering from you again.

Good food but awful service and not worth the 2 hour wait. We arrived with only one other table seated. By the time mains came out restaurant was full. Everyone in there was complaining of how long it took. One of our 3 mains was served 40 mins before the other 2 and it was only after asking 3 times if the other 2 mains were being cooked which at that stage they werent they eventually arrived. Even had to clear the glasses from our own table. Only took a quick look in the kitchen to see the absolute shambles the place was in, all tickets and orders messed up. Even though the food was lovely Can get same quality of food quicker at other places. Wont be back

Food OK, but quite expensive for what you get, for example in the mixed entrées, you get only 6 small pieces with a cost of $12. The food also took quite a while.
