$15 Chicken Pad Thai...tasty and fresh. It was prepared quick and staff was reasonably friend. The place is more like a takeaway restaurant but you can dine in too...few tables available though.

There is only 1 Thai restaurant for me and for my wife here in Auckland, at least until now. Thai Tran is the place! perfect food makes me feel as if I was in Patong Beach! lovely chef! its a must.

This is our local Thai place so decided to give it a try. Don’t be put off by the young guy taking the orders. He is maybe just experiencing some teenage angst 😀We had the curry puffs, yellow curry with chicken and rice and the Tom yum noodle soup. We ate in as there are a few tables inside.Both dishes were really delicious with fresh ingredients and very reasonable portion sizes. The cost was amazing $32!! Definitely an incentive to return. Such good value and taste

The restaurant opens at 1030 but when we arrived just before 1100, we were told that they were open so that they could start to prepare for lunch. We were reluctantly let in since the other chef was still out buying ingredients and were told it would take about 30 minutes to cook.We ordered and paid then another person came in and were given the same talk. We sat in the back and the other Chef arrived. it took about 10 minutes to get the food. Ordered a pad thai, a green pork curry and a satay chicken. The food was ok. The curry was the best of the lot.

Excellent food 🥘 and the people are so amazing .Best vegetarian plate is masamaan curry with tofu.Everything is delicious and they have open kitchen.So don’t worry fresh food .Expect me to come here again and again 👍🙏.

By no way the most amazing dinning experience - it’s a takeaway that you can sit down and eat at .... but if you want good tasty Thai at a very reasonable price this is the place to come!!!

Went in to pick up lunch and they had no electricity so EFTPOS machine was down, I offered to pay by cash, the bill was $32 I only had $31 on me so I asked him if I could get a discount. He then turns around to his father who was not happy but reluctantly accepted it. He then proceeded to make the second dish. The first dish was good but the second one was tasteless. Obviously there was less care given. Super disappointed, we live so close and used to love this place. Unfortunately this customer is now lost based on principal.

I ordered takeaway today and was told to come & pick it up after 35 mins. Seriously just for 1 dish, well went there at 40mins and the takeaway was still not ready & wanted me to wait another 5 minutes. Told him I have to be at work so cant wait, so if he could deliver it as I just work across the road from them. He refused to offer delivery. Was it so much to ask for compensation. I am never returning & will advise our friends too...

Authentic Thai food and good service. Not a proper restaurant but the seating arrangement is good. Loved the train layout though. Genuine price for decent portions. Must try if you love Thai food.

Food was average to good. The quality of ingredients used was not up to mark. Tofu was so soft and tasteless somehow. I have not been there before so can not say if it was the experience of one day. The quantity was less compare to elsewhere.

I ordered beef pad thai (takeaway). They havent added the bean sprouts even though its in the menu. Had to watch out for pieces of egg shells.However the portion is decent, and the spring rolls are crunchy.

Probably the best Thai food Ive had outside of Thailand. Not only is this an extremely affordable place, but the food is amazing and prepared very quickly. Lots of vegetables for this healthy takeaway. Staff here is always friendly. One of my favourite food places in Auckland!

Wow! Cheap and delicious! Ive had Thai food here in NZ that cost $25 for a pad Thai or curry... less than $15 here. Portion size is great too. Very pleased with Thai Train.

Friendly staff, fantastic service. Can easily order takeaways over the phone and is usually ready in 10-20 minutes. Food is very flavoursome and is good value for the portion size.

I dont usually do ratings on Google but this one is a well deserved. Went there for a takeaway got a original fried rice. Top quality and full of flavour and good price. My wife couldnt handle as I asked for medium and she said it was too hot. Called the staff and they handled the situation very nicely and proposed to adjust the spiciness without any probs. When I came home to eat it was a pleasant experience: hot food and still tasty. Definitely will come back :) Keep up the good work!

I decided to try the dangerous noodle was expecting to be disappointed but was pleasantly surprised at how fresh and favorable the food/dish was, tasty and spicy, was a lil pricey going at $11.50 a bowl but was a decent sized portion. Delicious, I definitely recommend this dish if you like flavour and spicy food as it has dried chillies in it. I would buy these again in a heart beat! :) friendly staff also a bonus!
