This place is great.. its beautiful, and the food is great too.. the service was wonderful and very friendly.. we were full on the starters, we didnt even make it to the buffet food that was available..

Overall experience was below expectation.The service was really slow but I will not blame the staff as there was only one doing all the work.Bbq was good but not the best.And buffet was really poor.In Desert there was Vanila ice cream and chocolate brownie and brownie was awesome.But I would like to avoid this place for Grill and prefer other bbq restaurants over Town grill.

Came here this evening with a couple of friends not realising it was a buffet. The people were so lovely about the misunderstanding and we absolutely will come back another time when we are hungry enough for a buffet (we were only wanting a snack this evening). Anyway, I was lucky enough to sample some of their delicious spiced battered fish during my short visit and it was DELICIOUS. Lovely trio of sauces went with it and I was so impressed at how perfectly the fish was cooked just the right amount. Honestly THE FISH TASTED SO GOOD and the people were lovely. Can’t wait to try more of their food when I come for a buffet dinner soon!

Town grill has one of the best food in the area. The kebabs are very tender and never dry obce received. However, I do think the location inside is a bit packed, there are a lot of tables crammed on the floor that make it difficult to maneuver when during peak hours. The lines also are a characteristic of improvement as youll be waiting upward of 10-15minutes.

The place is just a replica of BBQ nation outlet in India. First they serve you all the BBQ dishes (Unlimited) like Chicken, fish, prawn, pineapple and Kumara. They also serve fried fish and potato with sause. You can then go ahead and enjoy the buffet food which has Indian and continental dish (just one). Overall the experience was very amazing and great service. The food was delicious and restaurant beautiful ambient set up gives a very relaxed atmosphere while enjoy the soft music in background. But expensive but worth a try.Good for family and big groups. Try for Groupon voucher to get a good deal and save some bucks.

We randomly walked in for a party of 2 asked about menu an desserts..we stayed and had a huge entree of potatos with some amazing sauce an spring onions..kebabs lamb chicken prawns kumara pineapple..all you can eat then the mains buffet style I was already fill from the entree but they had butter chicken curry lamb and some more dishes and salads☺☺ there was even dessert ice cream and pineapple in custard with cinnamon.. I was so impressed with the food and service of the place.. I will be back again with my entire family next time ☺☺ thank you for a pleasant dining experience..

I went with a friend and we were the only people there on a Wednesday night, I like how everything came out one after another, although it took 10-15 mins for the first appetizers to come, after that,the food kept coming, I particularly enjoyed when they bought the grill our and placed it on our table, it was a nice little grill giving off great heat, which was perfect for the wet weather outside that night.The first lot of skewers were tasty especially the chicken, there were pineapple skewers, Kumara, tandoori chicken, and fish. Then the lamb kofters and prawn skewers were tasty. I did ask for more chicken skewers, I enjoyed the sauces that came out with the skewers aswell, a hot chilli sauce which was fricken hot and they do warn you about it, aswell as a minty corriander sauce and a mango sauce,The waiter was great and continued to ask if we wanted more food, then once the skewers were done we could attack the buffet.The buffet wasnt too bad, had veg and non veg selections, I had Thai chicken that had a kick of heat and the butter chicken which was more on the savoury side.But overall a great atmosphere and I imagine it would be a great place for groups as well as couples or families.Awesome experience and the waiter was nice. Great amount of food for the price. Again loved it

Great venue, parking is sometimes difficult but has extra parking around the back. The food is tasty and buffet grill style caters to my island family. The Indian dishes are not overly spicy so great to appease all taste buds. Wouldnt mind bigger servings of the desserts but thats just my own personal preference. Staff is always friendly and accommodating. Well worth the $$$.

Unprofessional they displayed Chilli chicken on one of thier buffet items to find out it was fish curry after eating it. the meat was dry on the skewers and the kumara was rock hard over priced if ice cream and custard is what you call desert your in luck.

We dined at the place in September and made a reservation for 22 people for later by the end of October. We got a call from the owner to shift our date as he had on offer another group that he wanted to accommodate on the same date as ours. I tried convincing him that we had an event on that specific date and hence we had booked so well in advance. He very bluntly kept saying that I needed to shift my date and showed no business ethic to value our booking made earlier.Very disappointing and unprofessional customer experience. Would never recommend this place.

Very disappointed 😔 very expensive for only 10 skewers dinner $135 for 3 people. Their buffet food was almost empty by 8:30 pm. People takes dessert bowls and other foods then placing back after taking to their tables🤮. That’s why I didn’t even felt like eating from their buffet...my son is 10 year old, he didn’t eat too...not healthy at all!! We were regularly going to this place on our special occasions but will not anymore🙏

Its expensive but I like the food its very delicious and the stuff are awesome , the only 2 things i dont like is you dont have a good decorations suitable to any parties, it will be awesome if you add decorations into your restaurant. Second you charge on the kids 20$ as this expensive price for kids because they are doesnt eat as much as we can so please make the price of the kids cheaper than 20$ per kids.

Clean ,tide and freshly live cooked food right in front of you.If u having a get together with your love ones .. must visit town grill. They will never disappoints you. Pathetic service, blunt and arrogant staff,food menu especially mains is shocker.Booked for 15 people paid $500 deposit and when it came to settle bill staff refused to acknowledge $500.Disappointed .Not worth it

Such a happy place full of good vibes. Nice ambience and the slecetion of the music. Pretty fancy way of serving the food especially grilled stuff. Loved the taste of everything clearly distinguishable from 3ach other with exotic flavors. It was no way close to the orange colored all alike tasting food served at Indian restaurants. I would definitely come visit again. Meat served is halal as well. The staff is super friendly and specially the younger guy who attended and served. Youre a star mate.

Good taste and concept from back home but service not good had to ask for food all the time, the lady seemed to be not that happy when we asked. Also not much variety in dessert. Overall good taste and food let down by service lady or else an easy 5 star.

Its pretty average really. The decor is quite nice but the food, although fresh, is very boring. Maybe if they added some sauces to baste the meats with, it would be more appealing. Dont try the buffet butter chicken, its the worst one Ive ever had. Staff need better training, we had to ask for drinks menus then sat thirsty for ages waiting for them to come back and take out order. And then I had to go up to the counter to ask for more drinks. We would have ordered more drinks but couldnt be bothered. Desserts are a joke... Dont even ask for it. Would it kill ya to put some chocolate or strawberry sauce on the top of the ice-cream? I think not. Dont think I will ever be back unless the food and staff get a major upgrade.

If you love very hot spicy food then this the place for you....not for me and my family the food is way to spicy hot for our liking. it be good if you had a choice of mild and not just the hot sauce that you brush on all your kebabs, chicken wings and even on the potatos.i love to taste the food not burn half my taste buds away. Such a shame really something so easy as that would make such a difference..wont be coming back food is way too hot.

UPDATE your proper timings and days that you’re open. On your website it says you’re open for lunch from 11 am to 2:30 pm on weekdays as well as weekends. But that’s not true, I went there today (Wednesday) as the website said you guys were open from 11, only to find out you’re closed and only open during dinner. Update your timings and stop misleading people!

Yummy food

Entrees was very good. Specially pineapple grill was the best. Mains were not great. $45 per person is ridiculous, it dhould not be more than $30 per person. Service was good and ample parking there.

Mixed Experience - My Son and I ate here last night. We werent sure what to expect, but despite the food being tasty we had a few things that made the experience less than perfect. Firstly, the concept wasnt easy to understand initially. The staff are friendly and helpful, but I struggled to understand but in the end decided to trust the reviews and go along for the ride. Toilet Paper and Hand soap were missing from 1 bathroom which made my sons visit less than ideal. Something basic that shouldnt really ever happen though not an end of the world thing. Its moderately expensive, but the selection of food is plentiful and the food itself was pretty tasty and pretty well cooked. Its reasonably spicy, which again, not the end of the world, but could be explained. A few missing explanations around the skewers being delivered and what to do with them (it wasnt entirely clear if the food was fully cooked at that point or more time was required). I ordered two sprites and the waitress came over with a jug instead saying it was the same price, which was a nice touch. Meant I felt they were trying to provide value which is always appreciated. Salads didnt look super fresh so I skipped them. Currys were pretty good as well. Youd have to be a decent sized eater to get through everything on offer. Glad i tried it, but its pretty pricey, $73 my son and I including a jug of sprite.

Amazing food, without any colours and super flavours. Best staff, service, Indian bbq, fish, chicken, veges..what a service, the owners Mr.Basra and his friend Billio, cannot thanks them for their personal touch to the party.. Every Indian in Auckland should visit this place. This place is good enough for private party of 70 to 80 people. I guarantee, that their service and food would be super second to none... I will for sure visit them when ever possible...

Best indian grill restaurant me & my family had so far. After having a long day at auckland and bit of argument with wifey lol, thought to go out for dinner. So decided to come here and well satisfied & service is awesome too. Delicious food.. definately recommend this.

Town Grill has brought both worlds of bbq and Indian food together and they have done it well. We enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. However, this is an upscale restaurant and the price might put a few people away..

Not the best dining experience, They havent explain to us how their dining works or that there are buffet for mains. Unfortunately they kept bringing appetizers to our table. The potato appetizer were utter horrible, Live grilled chicken was average at taste with sauces. This whole time we felt we were kept In the dark and obviously we wont be going back nor recommend anyone. Unfortunate It was a waste of $90 for just the couple of us.

Celebrated my daughter’s 1st bday here last week and had a group booking of 11 adults and 4 kids. Called and made the booking almost 15 days in advance. When we arrived, we were told the air conditioner for the entire hotel wasn’t working!!The respite to this was 1 pedestal fan they had for the entire hotel. Felt like we were in a chimney with no air/ventilation and the grills in front of us.I had also called the hotel an hour before arriving and WASN’T told about the air conditioner not working, which I think was very unprofessional considering we had a group booking with kids involved. Had they informed, we would have moved the venue, but I guess that was the trick! Good food and great staff but could not enjoy any as all of us were sweating like pigs!Soo not worth the money we spent!

I didnt like main food at all.we been on mothers day and when we book table they didnt cleared for kids age while bookings they said kids cost age plus $5 so after dinner they said under11 year count in kids.Dont waste time b money.my brother in law paid Otherwise I m not gonna pay full amount .waste time n waste money

Everything you want from a BBQ Grill and Indian buffet. The meal starts with BBQ chcken wings, cajun potatoes and fried fish. All amazing!! Then they bring out an assortment of meat skewers cooked over charcoal BBQ and place them on charcoal grills on the table.Skewers include chicken, beef, lamb, sausage, prawn, fish, kumara and potato. All skewers have a lovely spice.Help yourself to the Indian buffet - usual stuff of butter chicken, the lamb curry is delicious!! So good I could have at this all night.A basic dessert of sago, pineapple custard and fresh fruit.Everything is fresh and delicious I wull definitely go again!! It was great for our group of 6.

Food was good. Customer service was better. Khatib from Town Grill was serving us on last Sunday, he was genuinely nice to everyone, and even better with the kids. He was treating the kids with respect as well. You dont come across many people who treat the kids well but Khateb is definitely a people person. Food is good, definitely worth the money.
