The service was all right but the food was not well cooked and was still raw, I had 3 nan and 2 of them were half cooked. This use to be one of the places I recommend for Indian food but after this I wouldnt recommend it due to busyness in the restaurant has effected the quality. I have taken pictures of the food. Would recommend the owner to check on the cook quality to insure quality food.
Great food . Good selection of veg and non veg dishes at buffet. Recommend it for when you feel like having a good feast once in a while, few months apart . Its not something you wanna do weekly . Because when you are done, it does feel very heavy . Also go there early close to when it opens . As it get late , they stop refilling the curries . Cheers.
Its quantity over quality. Spicy noodles sweet curries.Under$25 its great deal but again quality is something they should work upon.Extreme busy and have to wait for 15 minutes for the bread.Desserts are nice though.
Very good buffet. Reasonable price. Giving 4 stars just because of lack of parking 😅
Great place. Value for money. Best place to hang out with friends and eat for cheap
Went there on 5th Jan 2021. They did not have any Chicken Biryani there. We waited for 40 mins and after 40 mins, they placed Veg Biryani under the name of Chicken Tikka Biryani as it can be seen in the picture which I uploaded (you will see lots of different vegetables in the picture). They just mixed Chicken in the Veg Biryani.I wrote to them and they just told lame excuses. Not going again.
What can I say about Paradise? It is paradise if you want decent Indian food in indecent quantities.
Located in the heart of Sandringham shops nestled away down a short side St Paradise has definitely stood up to its expectations held by my colleagues though it is only open for a short time Id recommend getting there early as the lines can back up real quick. With such a convenient price tag of $20 and all you can it buffet restaurants its definitely one to add to the list.
Amazing food, ambience and excellent service and staff. We hosted our sons birthday there. The staff is genuinely nice. They helped us in decorations as well. Food was beyond tasty..Their Gajar ka Halwa is to die for.The menu we selected, everything wa sup to the mark was Afghani Boti, Lamb Seekh Kebab, Gajar ka Halwa, Chicken Tikkah Masala, Chicken Kharai, avegetable Manchurian Hara Bhara Chicken, and Dood Dhulari. I would give 10 stars our of 5.Happiest customer :D
Wow... A must go. 24 bucks for an amazing buffet. You will not regret!
Great spread ,tasty food! Special shout-out to the amazing pepper chicken and the fluffy naan 😋
The papaya drink was horrible, otherwise this would have been a 5. The butter chicken was my favorite but all dishes / Naans tasted authentic and flavourful, the chicken lollipops were the highlight of the place and is a must have but they usually run out super quick so get there quick!
Fairly mild spicy food. Basic items. Place is clean with plenty of nearby parking.
Best place to come for a full Indian cuisine experience.
Always delicious, hot and fresh. The fresh naan is made to order & the wide range of both meat and vegetarian curries means noone misses out.
Great Buffet location for fans of the popular Paradise Indian restaurant. Diners can enjoy all you can eat experience for a number of curries, these vary daily but a couple are constant (butter chicken and lollipop chicken). But one of the best things is that there is all you can eat Naan breads. Highly recommend giving it a go. Perfect for large groups as well. Just be aware, during to their popularity they dont take bookings.
Ticking off one of the places we always wanted to try ----- curry buffet! Only $17pp Mon-Wed, drinks are at extra charge. You only get 60min dining time. You will be given 1 plate when you pay and thats for all dishes, apart from naan which comes in a small basket. There are always 4 meat curries, 4 vege curries, 4 salads, biryani and dessert. My favorite is the lollipop chicken and the fresh made naan, so good~~ Curry were also very tasty~~
This buffet was a disappointment. The quality of food was poor. Variety of dishes was also limited with only two non-veg curries. Kids had noodles and couldn’t chew the chicken as it was hard and not edible.
Good food. Great choice of varieties. Will be there again.
Food was very good but if youre looking for a relaxed dinner atmosphere this maybe isnt the best choice with just an hour sitting
Good bang for your buck! $20 pp deals offer a lot of items to eat. All the foods are great. Salad and Dessert are also served. Great sitting arrangement also.
I would have given 5.5..Too good food...A must must try..
Dal makhani was burnt and super long waiting. Totally not worth it for the price. The dine in is great though
First time I’ve been here, came for work function. Food was honestly amazing!! Loved it so much Only thing is gets a bit hot and need air con or cool air flow going upstairs plus sitting is a bit tight. Otherwise everything else was amazing!!!
Tasty food at reasonable price. Nice ambiance and staff.
One of the best all you can eat buffets in Auckland, hands down.Located in Sandringham, it is. A little bit of a drive out of central Auckland but there are more than a few buses that will get you there if you dont have access to a car.One of the more outstanding things about this restaurant is that it is not only halal, great for Muslim clients, but also serve pretty decent vegetarian cuisine as well to satisfy the palates of your non-omnivorous friends.Theres a naan station available where you can order your naan - budget ahead for your stomach though. The naan chefs know this and will ask you how many people are at your table to not serve you too many naan breads.Theres a dessert section but Ive always found Indian desserts a little too sweet for my taste buds.Weve been back many times and the quality is always amazing. 5 stars, easy
Beautiful night out, how delicious & authentic all prepped variety of curry, fresh naan bread made in front of you. A treat for curry lovers like myself
Awesome selection of food and great staff
Good mix of food for vegetarians and meat lovers..
Absolutely brilliant food. Highly recommend. They have stayed true to their style and so a rainbow of flavours available at the buffet. The fresh made naan in front of you is a particular winner. The reason to take off one star is the 60 min table limit. 60 minutes is insufficient for a relaxed meal along with time taken to serve up and line up for the naan and makes it a very pressurised experience so would recommend increasing that to 90 or 105 if possible.
Overall Good experience, better than before. Finally couple of new non- veg dishes are added in buffet menu.
Do you want to feel like youre on an Air India flight in the middle of Auckland? If yes, then this is the place for you! Super crowded, with Indian people behaving the way Indian people do when theyre around each other. Joking aside, the food is really delicious and the value for money is extremely high for the quality and the choice you get.
Very busy but yummy food
This was the first time I tried buffet dinner at Paradise and it was not good at all. The food was cold. Punjabi kadi was too salty and spicy, all the other vegetarian dishes- paneer butter masala, dal makhani, mix veg, dal tadka were tasted sweet instead and had less salt. I didnt like the sweet dish (kheer) either. I am not gonna go to this restaurant next time.
Very Bussy place . No parking . Food ok ..
It says the place closes at 9:30 I went there at 08:15 pm and the receptionist said they are going to stop serving in next 10 minutes so you can eat only what so ever is left there. I mean seriously 😂😂😂
Good place for family group
Wonderful place.. and super value for money.. good ambience too..If you have a big appetite.. its definitely worth your bucks and taste buds..
Delish food, love the fresh naan
Not a great place to eat, half cooked food and everything taste the same. Please spend little bit more money and eat better food.
Best Chicken 65 in the whole of New Zealand. The price is very fair, especially for a buffet.
The food is as food as they say it is. Price is very reasonable. We went nice and early (6pm) and already the place was filling up. However, due to Covid restrictions we were not able to eat buffet style but had to wait at our for the waiter to call up people table by table. We had two kids with us and we have to wait close to 45 minutes for our table to be called up. One plate per person only but they do put alot of food on the plate for you. Without the restrictions this place will be amazing.
Had a terrible experience during level 2. They set me up in a table, informed me that someone will reach out to me to notify me when I can go pick food from the buffet. They forgot and made me wait for 45 minutes in hunger, after me having to ask them what was going on. They made me sit in a table outside (upstairs) and I wanted to move to a table inside since it was freezing. They declined though many were available where others came and sat a few minutes later. Lastly the briyani, the deal breaker - what they served (cos they were the only buffet in NZ where u cant take ur own food) as Chicken Briyani was actually veg briyani with a few chopped chicken pieces in it. It was absolutely terrible and the experience was appalling. No more a promoter of Paradise, not to mention that Ill not step foot in there again.PS - Ive been a huge fan of Paradise for the last 5 years, but my last visit changed that.
Tried their buffet with my friend. Their was lots of options available to eat starters, veg , non-veg, salad, sweet, noodles, fried rice, naan etc. We tried almost everything and unfortunately we didnt like the taste of food. The taste and quality of their food is different in dine-in , takeaway and buffet. According to my experience their takeaway option is best. However, if you are going for buffet i will recommend to focus on butter chicken and naan. They serve halal. The staff was friendly. Thank you.
Average. Nice food
Great selection and value. Sad the desert selection was limited
Its an all you can eat buffet. You get 60min to wat that you want. Good quality considering its a buffet with heaps of options to choose from.
Thank you food is always so fresh & yum
Been here twice and still feel like going every other week. The variety you get to eat for the amount of money you are paying is definitely worth the buck..
Came up from Christchurch for a 50th birthday party at this venue. well worth the trip. authentic Indian food buffet with great flavours. nice and clean and while it is a bit dated the quality and taste of the food make up for that.
Great atmosphere. The food is great with a large variety. Would definitely come back.
Buffet was a disappointment. Food was extremely spicy. Staff serving was not very courteous. All food was piled on the plate the dishes were all mixed up. The only saviour was the dessert. Also dont think it is appropriate to charge $16.00 for kids between 4 and 7 years old. A la carte would have been better. Dont think will be back there in a hurry.
Best chicken drumsticks.
Fantastic experience. A nice range of different curries, rice and other goodies that you might not get to sample if you just ordered one or two dishes at a restaurant. The naan was absolutely fresh and delicious and we even discovered some new foods that have become instant favourites.
Great food and people. Loved the interior design of the restaurant both downstairs and upstairs.
We came from Christchurch specially to eat food from this restaurant. Really disappointed tbh. Big name but little show. Spoiled our evening. Food was literally just full of colours. First and last time. I will not recommend anyone.
Good food but the but the happy ending was average
We go here very often can tell by the line this place has beautiful food always hot an fresh the naan bread is to die for🤤🤤🤤
Amazing food worth starving for
Poor quality food and worst customer service, buffet was substandard, one dish finish they dont bring more. Rude customer service boys where there, will never go again
It was disappointing to see the food quality has gone down, food had no flavor on the other hand if you eat same dishes at restaurant you could see the big difference in quality and flavor.
Good selection of different meat and veg dishes. Naan wait can sometimes be long as they make it fresh for you. Dessert is a bit lacking when compared to the selection offered for mains, only kheer and custurd were available
Went there yesterday. They have changed for the better. Food was authentically spiced unlike the fake version of Indian food they were serving earlier to please their gora customers. Biryani was very flavorful and rightly spiced. Keep it up guys.
Very cheap and yummy
Amazing food, the best curry choices and always happy to wait for a seat.
Because food is cold And Vegtable dishes not good
Delicious popcorn chicken and chilli chicken and freshly made naan.
Consistently good at a fair price.
Very good food and reasonable price. Going to the restroom is not easy as the place gets crowded. the floor needs cleaning on the corridor going to the kitchen and restrooms.
Great selection of food including as vegetarian equivalents. For pogo players theres a couple of pokestops in the vicinity that are able to be spun from the restaurant.Have been there a couple times now and will definitely be going back again.
Vegetarian s think, after you experience. Variety is less and the set up is clustered. The layout needs a re wamp.Food what was available was nice, but the the signature Vegetarian dish was not available. Top up is delayed as the distance from the kitchen is far.
First time here tonight, Ive been wanting to come here for a while. Customer service is polite and professional, staff are busy with customers entering and exiting frequently, an impersonal experience is what I expected and received. Diners range from work groups, to couples, friends and families. Lots of good options at the buffet. I enjoyed my dining experience upstairs where it was quiet. The tables and premises are kept very clean considering a high turn around with diners and customers. In regards to some of the negative feedback about the customer service, the staff here are busy running around after people. Theyre polite, professional and friendly. What more could you want? If you are wanting a more personable experience, then dine at a boutique establishment.
Really disappointed with the staff behaviour; who would get separate bills for Entire, Drinks and Mains!. Food was good but service is really poor. Not pointing out individual’s look but beard and open hairs doesn’t look professional 🙏
Very enjoyable and food was so good - definately recommend
Food was masarap naman, plenty of food for everyone, not spicy at all, just right 10/10
Went for buffet with my friends at 7p.m.. Within first 10mins the chicken biryani is over and they closed it from then on until we left around 8p.m.Chicken lollypops are good, but some of them are very salty.Chilly chicken smells bad seems to be left over has been served from yesterday.
