We had a wonderful delivered takeaway this evening. It was absolutely delicious. Chef is to be complimented on his skill with spicing. Every dish was cooked to perfection - subtle delicious flavours just the way Indian food should taste, with the flavours of the ingredients enhanced not lost. Highly recommended, wish we were locals!!

Ordered online through their chefonline website (link on their website), delivered a few minutes early, really hot and all the food was delicious. Great value too. We had a range of food including chicken, lamb and prawns. Superb Indian, was referred through family would definitely advise a visit as we are told eating in is even better!

Have only had one take away from here. Took a very long time to arrive. Food was okay, nothing special, very small portions. Have tried again since to give them the benefit of the doubt but delivery times are ridiculous, often oven two hours!

At 1st we were hesitant to visit this place after reading a few reviews but.......WOW!!! service and food is top notch!!! Honestly could not fault it, from chicken satayi starter to the bombay main and even the soft dough keeme cheese naan, all perfect. Service was incredible too. Good job lads keep it up, highly recommend 👍

This is the worst Indian food I have ever tasted.The Sag Paneer, spinach and Cheese was spinach and potato.I order a Korai chicken it was a Tandori chicken, I order a Chicken Tikka it was another Tandori chickenThis is the most awful and expensive food I have eaten in my entire life. And I like the occasional McDonalds, but even they wouldnt present such dire food and expect a premium.

Regular visitor as a family to the restaurant. However, my wife took a friend tonight and the chicken was overcooked in both dishes. Couldn’t get hold of the waiter as both very busy, had to ask three times for water. Stated when bill came that she was not prepared to pay for the chicken meals and waiter very rude. Disappointing experience, customer service lacking, always put up with this as it’s not the first time they have been offish/rude, but now the food isnt good either such a shame.

Decent Bangladeshi restaurant with good selection of Indian food. Ordered takeaway and it was very quick. Also got complementary free drink with the order. Vegetarian biryani was good.

Taste very bad. 2nd time got tandoori mixed grill and it was a joke !!Packed in a paper bag and put in a grocery bag. Seriously paid £13 for this!!Quarter chicnen and 3 pices of cooked lamb not grilled !! 3 pieces of tikka chicken and 1 PRAWN, 1 snd half of baby potato.Seriously how can you charge 13 from someone for that and not even put it in a proper package.No wonder place not busy. AVOID or try abd moan. I would never buy again !!

We were seated on our own table of 4 at the end of a table of about 15 that we’re having a party and very noisy shouting and singing. The staff could hardly hear us when ordering our meals, so there wasn’t much chance of us having a conversation over our meal. When I let the staff know we wasn’t happy the manager just shrugged his shoulders and said sorry.He couldn’t care less if we was there or not and was only worried about being paid. Don’t go hear if you want to have a quiet meal or want to feel your custom is appreciated. Food very average and I’d rather have a takeaway from across the road.

Good curry. slightly on the pricy side

Went here this evening for my wifes birthday with the family. On arrival we asked about a funny smell which was all over the restaurant when we asked about it the staff just said they could not smell nothing and it was prob the air conditioning system, on a visit to the toilet the smell was awful and was unbelievable. The food was nothing special either the rice was full of water and warm and nan bread was cold dont think I will be going back any time soon

Unexpectedly fantastic curry. Portion sizes are wonderful. The service was good, and the staff were helpful and mostly friendly. This is all the more unexpected considering it was a busy Friday night.

Have been to the Tamarind Bay now several times since its opening. First class food each time and very good service. Varied menu so some different dishes from what you may find elsewhere. Keep it up!!!

When asked about gluten free options on the menu I was told that the majority of the menu was gluten free. I ordered a Lamb Dansak which was actually very enjoyable. However, it did contain gluten despite being told specifically it was gluten free. Minus the lack of gluten-free knowledge the service was very good as well as the food.Please do train your staff about what on the menu is and is not gluten free.

Great food, good service, in a smart, clean environment. Large choice on the menu. All at reasonable prices, and a free shot of Baileys before leaving was a lovely touch.

We love this place, me and my miss go here regularly and we always recommend it to our friends and family. The service is top notch, all the staff are lovely and very knowledge about the menu, they are always willing to talk about the individual dishes and make recommendations if you are not familiar with some of the dishes. The food is spot on, great value for money and great quality, and if you arent hungry enough to eat all your food, get it put in a take away pot and have it for lunch the next day. Weve had take away a few times and the food quality is excellent, exactly the same as if you eat in. The prices are really very good for the quality of food and the service you reserve. Over all this is probably the best place to eat in wellington.Its bloody good here.Number 72 on the menu is my personal favourite.

The attitude of the staff from start to finish was they could not care if we were there or not. We sent 2 starters back, the waiter took them away and that was it [end off} no one come to find out why. the main meal took forever and it must have sat under heat lights for some time as all the meat for the six of us had dried out. when we paid the bill the head man stated he deducted the cost of the 2 starters, once again end of conversation, we told him of our experience, he shrugged his shoulders we paid him £152.00 for the bill and he offered £10.00 voucher off the next meal. our total experience was not worth £10.00 keep it we will not be back?

Superb food very nice friendly staff

Had good reviews so thought ide try it starter main and side and desert all for what I thought was 10.95 got there was charged 13.50 wasnt happy but thought food would make up for it was wrong starter was cold and inedible rice was fine but main was greasy looked like it had been deep fried instead of oven baked as advertised tandoori marinade was overpowering probably to hide the fact that the chicken was prob 2 weeks old salad looked like it had been n the bag for a few days all in all very disappointed inedible muck the only way I can accurately describe it AVOID !!

Excellent range of good Indian food.Good service. Reasonable prices, especially Tuesday & Wednesday special offer nights. Takeaway as well. Park in the Asda or Waitrose car park if no room on the road.
