I was so delighted to be there, it is the best place to try authentic Indian food and their service was overwhelming 😊😊. I ordered ragda patties n paneer wrap. Since I’m a pure vegetarian n their wrap was egg washed (I didn’t notice while ordering), the moment I told them about this, they changed it immediately without any hesitation which I liked the most. The food was really delicious and Ragda patties was a must try. Ambiance n interior were quite lively. I will definitely recommend this place whenever u visit Washington DC downtown.

**********************************July 2021 ReviewThis restaurant was located at a convenient location and right on the corner of a crossing. The food quality for most of our order was really good. The only thing that could be improved is the service time and the quality of service.A couple of their waiters/waitresses did not look like professionals and seemed like they were tending to drip or drop something(happened couple of times at our table but Id still give a benefit of doubt thinking they were training or something)But considering the prices they had on their menu and considering it, there should be some quality of service.**********************************

The name of this restaurant is catchy, making us walk in and give them a try. We ordered the Paneer kathi roll (bland), ragda pattis( interesting flavors), Pav Bhaji (spicier than I thought), gulab jamun( pretty good that also come with ice cream), avocado gol gappa (decent enough) and samosa (pretty average).

Went here during restaurant week. The ambience was cute and a little high end. The Parsi lamb cutlets were amazing! I also got the chicken biryani and the rice was a little soggy but it was still good. They were out of lamb curry really early in the day, which was disappointing. Im giving the place 5 stars to the amazing lamb cutlets and the unmatched service. The servers were absolutely amazing. My water glass never reached past half empty before a server would come and refill it. They were very attentive and brought me my next course promptly so I wasnt waiting at all for the rest of my food to arrive. Literally the BEST service Ive had in DC. Will definitely return to try other menu items. What a great experience!

Pretty highly rated and just a short walk from my hotel.I think this is likely best described as Indian fusion. In short, it was delicious and one of the better meals Ive had in a while. Full of flavor and very different take on Indian food. Im impressed. Would definitely come back for more!

Everything on the menu - the food, the drinks - is like nothing you will ever have anywhere else.If you’re looking for something comfortable and familiar, this probably isn’t your place, but if you’re willing to forgo chicken wings and burgers and experience Nirvana, this is where you need to go.Seriously, just grab the menu, close your eyes, and point. Bindaas bills itself as authentic Indian street food, but its dishes seem to be more inspired by the real thing. Trying to be authentic aside, the menu is way too limited in specific categories (only three curry choices, and two of them are vegetarian...) based on what the average fan of Indian food expects from a restaurant. Food was overpriced based on dish size.

Yum! A delicious experience from start to finish. Be mindful of the timing of the dishes you order, though. For example, the truffle uttapam is more subtle than the dahi papdi chaat and it loses its flavor appeal. Also, get the Indian Shiraz (2018) to lead off with. It is a fragrant compliment to most of the foods. Also, try the popcorn.

Cosy, lively, vibrant indian restaurant in DC. Tastefully done interiors with beautiful pictures from India, courteous staff, lively decor...and the most awesome part - amazing food. Me and my friend started with Masala chai which was perfect indian chai with right amount of spices. We tried Bhel Puri as appetizer which was very tasty, perfect blend of tangy and sweet with crunchy mango pieces in between. We also ordered tomato uttapam and vada Pao. Tomato uttapam was yummy with green chutney. The only minus was vada Pao. The way it was served, it got our hopes high (you will understand what I mean when you see the pic), but the vada was greasy and soaked in oil. We didnt stop there, ended our wonderful snack/dinner with a delicious and satisfying cardamom and chocolate cake with raspberry and vanilla icecream. This was our first time here, but surely not the last. Planning to visit again soon.

Bindaas, a very recent addition to the little mall at 2000 Pennsylvania ave, has been consistently bustling right from its infancy. When co-workers said it was a hit, I had to try it for myself. The decor is tasteful and warm. The lighting is perfect for a lively meal, with the bamboo basket lights the star of this restaurants intriguing appearance. The food is first Indian, but it clearly tries to infuse itself in other cuisines to appeal to a diverse crowd. My appetizer was crispy Indian pastries stuffed with avocado. The taste was a marriage of Mexican and Indian flavors. The naan was delicious and baked perfectly, but as a twist, I got it stuffed with bacon and cheese - an American-Indian twist. For an entree, I tried the salmon kabobs on a bed of Indian-style yellow rice, and smothered in a savory coconut, curry sauce. It was wonderful and felt like a Mediterrean-Indian paring. Finally, the price is spot on reasonable given the fine quality. Give it a try, youll find yourself ordering many appetizers to try several things (Spanish approach). I enjoyed my visit immensely.

I ordered from this place on July 4th (today)via uber eats. I got buy 1 get 1 fries and samosas and paneer korma. The fries were soggy. The samosas were okay although oily. The paneer korma had 3 pieces of paneer and I can bet you can find a very similarly packaged korma at whole foods for around 5-6$. You can go check for yourself if you like. This was my first ever order from this place despite my friend who resides in Foggy Bottom (very close to this restaurant) warning against it but I will not order from here again. Do your own DD, perhaps try it for yourself if you don’t like to go by other public reviews but I am certain you will end up reaching similar conclusions.

The worst part was the server / food runner had a very bad attitude towards Indian people at an Indian restaurant. We eventually went back to the bar where there was more room. If a bar has more room than the restaurant floor and the server / food runner is biased...it gets 2 stars.Bar Service: The bar was pretty good. Good drinks and fast service. They definitely made the drinks strong which is a plus. Gets 1 star for the bar service.Food: The food is also good. It saved the review from being a 1 star only review.Wada Pao has methi masala on top that is comparable to methi masala in India.
