We were passing by the area to visit a friend and we stumbled upon this place. There is a decent sized outdoor space that you cannot see from the front of the restaurant. The food tasted pretty good. The cinnamon roll was AMAZING! Please get yourself one when you visit. The portions are decent enough to fill you up but not large enough for leftovers. I wish the sandwiches came with some potatoes/French fries and the side salad. We did not get a pizza but the party behind us got one and it looked really good. The servers were friendly and they did not rush us out the door. Id come back just to try the other options on the menu.

A score in the upper Georgetown/Glover Park neighborhood! We stumbled on this place looking for Bourbon (closed) and were drawn by the “live jazz” sign out front. Reservations for the live music were recommended but they were kind enough to accommodate us. Spacious outdoor section in back with great ambiance and live music! Server was super friendly and attentive. Pizza was DELICIOUS - has doughy fresh quality hard to explain but impossible to forget - we got The Vegan, and we aren’t even vegan, but it was amazing. Also got fresh cupcakes on way out which were divine. Highly recommend.

Really love the concept of this place - super cool that you can order from multiple places and get it delivered. We did the chicken sandwiches (honey butter and the original). Both were very good. Chicken was crispy and sauce was delicious. For dessert we got red velvet cupcakes the seasonal apple one was the highlight.

Ghostline is a true DC hidden gem. Everything I’ve tried from there I’ve loved, and it’s such a great concept to have multiple types of food all available in one space. I’m a particular fan of the Detroit Style pizza by Little Beast (the Motor City is my favorite). We also had the frito pie last time we came in, which was delicious. The patio in the back is super cute and has a lovely ambience—heated in the winter, and lovely in the summer! Can’t recommend Ghostline enough.

Pretty bomb place near the Observatory Circle, just outside of the Georgetown district area.My friend and I went here and enjoyed a gorgeous day outside on the outdoor patio. Food was honestly delicious. HIGHLY recommend the kimchi and pork belly donburi - definitely the best thing we ordered.The only complaint I have is the service was definitely slow and a bit disorganized. However, upside to that is that they recognized and handled it without us having to say anything so that was appreciated.Maybe the only other thing that could be a questionable is the amount of different types of cuisines. We really only order Asian style cuisine here so can’t speak for the others on the menu.

I wanted to like this place, but it simply wasnt welcoming. The service was cold & unfriendly. My date and I looked past some of the pricing (get yours Social Beast, you get yours), and we ordered a few apps and some bigger plates. Unfortunately, I couldnt tell you anything about the food because service was so lackluster. Drinks took forever. Food was auctioned off at the table. They obviously didnt want to be at work that night. Oh well. I wished places would realize atmosphere goes so far when people dine out. This place didnt seem to hit that realization yet.

First time here and won’t be our last. We had the pizza and ramen. Both delicious. The Detroit style pizza had a light buttery crust. The thin crust was just as delicious. Seemed to be carry out only but there was seating in the back to eat

Food not bad but not much variety and super expensive. $83 for one large pizza, one kids pizza, 1 beer, 3 juices, and 1 small carrots and celery with dip. Definitely not worth the price.

I’ve tried this place twice now, and the Detroit style pizza has been undercooked both times. Once, I can understand. We all have off days. The second time shows a trend, and I can’t say I’ll be back to try a third time. Maybe they’ve figured out their oven at this point, but I’ll let someone take that gamble.

Went here with some new friends after an escape room and it was definitely experience. The menu is extensive so they have something for everyone. The impeachment drink is refreshing! The highlight of the night was our server Dennis! He was attentive, personable, and made sure that we were taken care of. When you go here be sure to ask for Dennis he wont disappoint!

Unfortunately since changing from Ghostline its lost a lot of what made it great. Lost over half of its menu options and the prices also went up. Service is hit or miss and the place looks kind of neglected. The green machine pizza is still amazing though.

I got their Detroit pizza for carry out and oh my god, this is my new favorite pizza place in DC. I used to drive across town for my old favorite place, but I am glad I don’t have to do that anymore. We got the Motown with pineapples, bacon, bechamel. It was so so delicious. The crust makes this amazing crunch sound when you bite it that only a beautiful fresh pizza crust can make. Already have plans to have this pizza two more times this week.

Another Glover Park gem. If youve never had Detroit style pizza, Little beast at Ghostine DC is the place that will not disappoint. I had the Munday funday $10 special but added my fav- mushrooms. DELICIOUS crust and loads of gooey cheese. The sauce is mild which I love because of acid reflux and not one ounce of heartburn after eating 😊 My colleagues and I will definitely become regulars here!

Beautiful atmosphere in the back patio, especially on a warm spring night. We’re pretty certain we had the best garlic cheesy bread we’ve ever tasted. Also ordered Detroit style pizza and loved it. Great drinks with great happy hour prices!

For the first time in my life, I did not leave a tip at a restaurant when I was done with my dinner at Social Beast. My friend and I were really shocked by how lacking the service was, and that everything was poorly done - first my friend was given the wrong entree when she had ordered something else, then to order dessert we had to flag waitstaff down at the bar because our waiter had completely vanished and no one else was coming by despite our empty plates and empty glasses. This was early Friday evening but the place was not packed or understaffed, we saw plenty of employees. We were simply ignored. While having dessert my friend asked to have our water refilled, and despite my glass being completely empty as well, the waitress only filled my friends glass. Not only that, but the water my friend did receive was WARM - it even made the glass itself warm. It was 90 degrees outside (we were sitting in the courtyard) so this was just ridiculous. To get our checks, we had to flag someone else down, once again being completely ignored for a long period of time. As for the food, it was ok but not amazing (to be fair, I did not order the pizza but I have been to Little Beast so I can at least vouch for the fact that the pizza is good), and the brownie sundae for $7.50 was pretty weak. Overall, it was very overpriced for not even being properly served. Quite frankly I should asked for my money back - $30 for fruit punch (non-alcoholic), enchiladas, and a brownie sundae that was the caliber of Breyers vanilla ice cream and an overcooked mix, made me feel like I just threw away cash and two hours of my time.

I keep ordering different dishes and desserts from this place and everything has been absolutely fantastic. Great way to order from just one spot and satisfy cravings for pizza, ramen, chicken sandwiches, etc. all at once!

This is honestly the first bad review I’ve had to give since living in DC. While the outdoor space is definitely nice the wait staff is not. I was given boiling hot water and no ice (?) while sitting in 95 degrees. We also had to repeatedly ask for napkins, utensils, and ice. I think we had 4 people wait on us because we kept being forgotten. I was there for 2.5 hours in what could’ve been a 45 min experience. Also not sure what’s up with the bar staff but a lot of folks were standing around and the main bar attendant has quite a poor attitude. Was not worth the money I spent especially as my first order wasn’t what I asked for (not the same meal at all) and the desert was too frozen to even eat. I gave this two stars instead of one because the hostess was on point and incredibly friendly .

I live around the corner from Ghostline and love this place. The patio is perfect for drinks and food with friends. All of our servers have been super friendly and eager to provide suggestions.We have ordered pizza a few times for Friday Pizza Nights and can never decide between the Detroit Style and the Deck Style because both are so good (we usually end up ordering one of each). Have also had a few of the sandwiches and ramen, which were all delicious. Excited to keep going back as the weather continues to warm-up!

Delightful patio in the back (dont be put off by the quiet area in the front). The whipped ricotta and detroit-style pizza is excellent, with great service.

Do not serve anything in plastic Tupperware again. I ordered the seaweed salad and it arrived in... A Gladware disposable leftover container?! I was on a date and WISH I had taken a picture of of. No. Honey... I get that its hip and trendy to serve food in weird things; usually tacky and gimmicky, rarely nice. But this was just... I mean... Possibly the laziest, sloppiest most unappetizing presentation Ive ever seen, dining out or eating in. Im begging you, WE are begging you, dont ever serve anything in Tupperware ever again.

I recently moved to DC and really didn’t know where to eat, but I’m grateful for stumbling into this place. I was biking around and saw this fish mural and was extremely intrigued. I decided to order this chicken sandwich as you see below! Let me tell you I BLACKEDOUT on this sandwich. You had Chick-fil-A you had Popeyes, but this sandwich is mouthwatering 10/10. I waited only a short amount of for this meal and I would have waited 30 if I had to! I look forward to making this my regular spot of a bite to eat. I would recommend this place to my coworkers both in DC and in NJ

Concept is stellar with the current pandemic. Everyone is ordering in and when you have a bunch of people that cant decide on one place, this is where you order from.My brother and I ordered from the Indian stall and from Little Beast. The garlicky cheese sticks with vodka sauce were mind blowing. 5 stars!Unfortunately the Indian food was incredibly disappointing. I was so excited about trying it because it sounded unique compared to other places, but it was unclear when I got the combo what would taste good with what or if it should all be eaten separately without being mixed. The individual items without mixing in some of the sauces were not good. I love unique foods and spices, but this was not our thing. It was overly spiced with really strong spices. For instance, some sort of large pod that tasted like licorice in my mung beans and cauliflower. The black chickpeas also had an overwhelming spice flavor we didnt like. The cold eggplant was gross. I will say, my combo came with some sort of peanut and kauchcumber (sp?) side and that was the ONE really good and interesting thing on my platter.

Good concept and place has potential with a great back patio, but we found high prices for mediocre food & service.We showed up when there happened to be live jazz band so the place was full, and there was a small line. The hostess stated that half the space was reserved for a party, but theyd only blocked it for ten more minutes and a dozen tables would then open up - so we and a bunch of other people waited.The wait ended up being 45 minutes, and there was no apology or acknowledgement from the staff, or any token gesture (free appetizer or something). I realize they cant normally control when people leave tables, but a reserved event space for a set time is different.The food we had (ramen and tex-mex) was ok... average to below average. I suspect the pizza is better, but the food hall aspect seems kind of pointless if 2/3rds of the cuisines arent worth ordering. Even so it ended up being 40 per person for one shared appetizer, an entree and a drink each, more expensive for worse food than you can get right down the street.Service was also below average, and the waiter takes payment using a handheld device with 18% as the minimum tip option - so if you want to leave say 15%, youd need to navigate a set of unfamiliar menus on the screen as he/she stands at your table holding the device.

Love this new place! I had a fried chicken sandwich - delicious. The Indian Tokri was totally unexpected and delicious, such a nice departure from the standard curries, the rice and sides are hard to compare to anything I’m used to, there were so many flavors it was great to try different combinations. Definitely coming back.

Honestly, disappointing. The portion for my bowl at the Indian restaurant was pretty small and the ramen was simply not great. Maybe we just didn’t have luck today.

Ghostline is the product of our pandemic times. Its a food collective started by several Washington, D.C. top chefs out of a small building in Glover Park. Heres whats to love:1) Food: They have a diverse selection of food from ramen (by Uzu), fried chicken sandwiches (by Queen Mothers), Indian (by Tokri), pizza (by Little Beast), cupcakes (by Red Velvet), ice cream (by Glover Park Icecream & Milkshakes) and pastries (by Ghost Dog & Egg Man). My housemate who spent several years in India was impressed with the authenticity of the Indian food. My fried chicken sandwich was tasty (add cheese and honey butter to it to make the flavors pop more).2) Concept: They do safe pick-up takeout during the pandemic and have an outdoor-only garden patio area for dining in. If you dine in, their bar is open for you.3) Space: The outside if beautifully painted with a mural by local muralist Jahru.If you want to support local chefs and enjoy quality food, go here!

Drinks and ambience was great

New to the DC dining scene, Ghostline does it a bit different. With higher prices for breakfast and lunch sandwiches its not always worth it. Egg sausage biscuit is full of unappetizing chewy gristle but the chicken fried sandwich is dynamite. A nice patio in the back allows patrons to enjoy the eating experience outdoors. They are great social stewards here and run a Covid contract tracing list. Hit or miss food but worth a visit if youre in the area.

Been to Ghostline twice now, and was disappointed on both occasions, with the theme being great idea, poor execution. The first time around, we got two breakfast items, since most of the other kitchens arent open on a specific day of the week (I believe its Monday, but double check with the restauant, please). The burrito was not built well, so you didnt get a good ratio of items per bite. The duck sandwich was fine; duck was cooked nicely. But the sandwich itself was woefully lacking other flavour, and the pieces of duck were too large, so when you tried to take a bite, the entire piece would be pulled out from the bread. The second time we went, we chose to go with fried chicken sandwiches. The korean one was solid, no complaints there. The Nashville hot chicken was nothing like its namesake, with barely any spice at all. Had to doctor it when we got home to make it even remotely spicy. Lastly, while the fries had a good cook on them, the seasoning was incredibly sporadic, with some fries being very heavily seasoned and others having no seasoning at all. However, even the few heavily seasoned ones were still lacking salt. Overall, we remain unimpressed by the fare, although I really wish I could say otherwise. It could be that we had bad luck, and I hope thats the case. If it is, I hope Ghostline can tighten up the quality control on their items, because the ideas are solid. Just poorly executed.

Giving 3-stars because of wait time. Had to wait full 30 min out front after designated pick-up time. After 15min, received text saying food was ready. Told hostess who said it was not ready yet. Waited another 15min in line of sight of hostess before needing to ask again about status. Unclear where disorganization is coming from.Recommendation: Make it easier (e.g., digital screen in front) for hostess/costumers to see when their orders are ready, without hostess needing to continually go into building for order status.

This Saturday was my second time eating at Ghost Line, and my experience was disappointing to say the least. I had ordered food from them before, which I enjoyed, so decided to make reservations for their opening jazz night, which to my knowledge, is really the only type of live music event you can attend in DC at the moment. The courtyard was beautifully decorated with lights strung above and a running fountain mounted on the wall. The musicians had a corner of the courtyard to themselves while the rest of the space was distributed with socially distanced tables. The music was phenomenal and brought an unexpected level of normalcy to an anomaly of a year. Because of the music alone, I would recommend that people go to Ghost Line’s Saturday jazz nights. However, that is the only positive thing I can say from my in-person experience at Ghost line.If you went to a tourist trap restaurant you would receive better service than at Ghost Line. When first sitting down a waitress greeted us and took our order. However, after that, it seemed like Ghost Line’s staff were now an endangered species. It took 45 minutes for our drinks to be served and another 30 minutes for any of our food to reach our table. We were rarely ever checked up on throughout the night, which would have been nice because when our food did arrive we weren’t given any utensils to eat it with. I thought this might have been a careless mistake, but I was quickly proven wrong. The table next to us had also ordered Khichdi from Tokri and were also never given any utensils. Just like us, the table waited patiently as their food sadly went cold, but still, no server ever checked up on them. It’s a shame because the coconut khichdi we had was amazing and unlike anything else you can get in DC. And the fact that we had to smell and look at the delicious food infront of us for over 15 minutes before we could enjoy it made it seem like the Ghost Line staff wanted us to pick each grain of rice with our fingers rather than use a fork. What finished the circus act for me, however, was that Ghost Line had the nerve to bring our food out extremely late, and then tell us that we would have to leave 30 minutes after we started eating because they had another show at 9:00.It is a shame that I felt the necessity to write this review because the food from the restaurants at Ghost Line is excellent. The service on the other hand did the food and the hard work of these local chefs injustice. All in all, Ghost Line’s patio and Saturday Jazz nights have potential, but first, they have to fix their inexcusable service.

Saw review on WAMUs exist and Aarons vision for the industry in the pandemic struck a cord. The concept of a ghost kitchen is new, his application of unity in pandemic is refreshing. If only the front of the house was as addressable as his vision for the heart and soul from the kitchen could be addressed this pandemic would not mar our industry. Brabrook addressing travelability of dishes is is to the point we are all seeking to satisfy. Daily as patrons to succed hosted in house or pandemic take away. Hope to meet at my next visit.

Parking is tough in front of the shop. I parked ~50 ft down the street. I called (per their instructions) to let them know I was there and told them exactly where I was parked. I get a call 5 mins later: where are you? Im standing out in front of the restaurant and youre not here. Im looking around and I dont see you at all. I respond with my location and offer to pull in front, if theres space. The gentleman responds, theres nothing but space in front of the restaurant. I pull down. There was not a single parking space, but I was able to pull into a no-parking zone (fire hydrant) to pick up. When he handed me my food, I apologized for the confusion about my location and said that Id told them where I was on the phone. He rudely responded, well, the restaurant is right here!I honestly dont care how good the food is - there is no reason to treat people badly. I wont be back.Update on food: cupcakes were not great. Ramen was delicious and on-par with what youd feel in Japan. Okonomiyaki was good (a little mushy, but great flavors). Brussels sprouts were excellent. HOWEVER... Both myself and the other person who ate it were ill within 30-60 mins of eating (and given that its the first thing either of ate anything today, its clear that it was due to this food). Very disappointing after the food tasted so great (but not terribly surprising after the demonstration of their care for their customers upon pickup). Maybe having an egg with uncooked whites sit in to-go containers at lukewarm temps is not the greatest idea...

I was so excited to visit Ghostline and the idea! Based off of the awesome menu choices and the pictures- I was eager to try dishes and see the cute location, however, my experience was lackluster. The space and ambiance is very cute and enjoyable. But the food was not. To start, everything is served in plastic which is very disappointing for this environmental lover. The fudge brownie from Glover Park Icecream & Milkshakes was served in a plastic cup with a lid- needless to say not how I was expecting it to be served. Additionally, the brownie was very stale and overall not enjoyable. We also had the mung bean kitchari, cauliflower and chutneys from Tokri. We were so excited to see Tokri on the menu because DC Dosas is hands down our favorite DC joint. The mung bean was good but the cauliflower and chutneys were way to spicy and just not enjoyable.I love the concept of Ghostline but I am sorry to say that it was very disappointing and worth skipping.
