Excellent place to stay, food is awesome. No hassles. During lockdown, I did made visit to shrine and stayed here. Staffs are very friendly and supportive.

The hotel is the best in the area and the staff are so very hospitable. The food is a delight and the juices are ever so refreshing. Maybe a north Indian / south Indian Thali option maybe a good option on the menu.

Because ground to first floor staircase is little dangerous.Good breakfast spread. Good tasty food. Nice place and the price is little bit high. Rooms are neat and clean. Outside environment is very nice. kids play area is there. Breakfast is good but if they have some more variety items it will be better. Car parking facilities is available. Swimming pool is there but it is under maintenance. Overall we had a good stay there.

The villa where we stayed was quite clean and apt for our use. The rooms are not very spacious though but just right. A kettle was conspicuously absence though was made available on request. The restaurant was good and food sumptuous.

It was a pretty good place for a temporary stay. The food was excellent in the compared to the other places in the area. The room were cozy enough for sleeping and living. It was an 8/10 experience it could be better in vicinity.

Good place though little away from church its most suitable for people who travel by their own vehicle...Have variety of rooms to choose from according to no of people... Breakfast awesome... Check for pool availability though after Covid they have not yet started usage...staff is helpful housekeeping is also good...Lunch and dinner can be opted out...

We had happen to stay at this Resort on the month of September. The stay was good but we were not able to enjoy much facilities... The food was good for breakfast and dinner was nice.... lunch could have been much better. The rooms were very small for the price. Then we have shifted to another suite room it was more spacious and nice. Over all the stay was ok.... The resort manager was very polite and friendly, also he had periodically checks with us and arranged various changes to satisfy the customers..... Good resort 👍👍👍👍

Excellent property in the Church Vicinity, pretty decent place to avoid unnecessary interference from others. Decent restaurant unfortunately our last encounter here was of vegetarian meals. ( Rice, Watery Sambhar, tasteless Rasam, extremely sour Curd) with tasty Seer slice fry. Drinks and services were extremely good. Probably if we have tried other food it might have been good. Its a decent hotel though not very close to the shrine/church. About a km away. Rooms are good and the place has parking. Courteous staff. Food left something to be desired but hygenic restaurant.

Great stay, excellent food and serviceThis is my 3rd visit to Velankanni and I have always been booking at the MGM. The only reason is because the service is great, you can have a relaxing stay after a long journey and the food is great. The property is maintained well. Stay was good. Food also very good. Had nice time. Room size could have been larger.

Very hygienic. Food is also good. Breakfast included. Buffet type breakfast. Dosa, omlette is also included without extra cost. You have to just ask them because its not kept in the buffet table.

They have a Sprawling Parking Space which is Free. What we Liked most was their Impeccable service Standards and Their Mouth watering buffets and La-Carte menus.If you are Looking for a Family Friendly up scale property this is just right for you and their Services are on Par with any International Standards. Room amenities included Kettle, Tea/Coffee Sachets etc.They Provide Entire Toiletries as Complimentary. There was a Mini Fridge, and Small Locker for Safe keeping Valuables.They provide American standard Buffet which is complementary with loads of South Indian Dishes also.We tried their Continental and Chinese Dishes For Lunch and Dinner and they were Absolutely flavoursome and mouth watering.

Rooms are good and very close to Church. But renovation and improvement required in rest rooms. Food is expensive compare to similar hotels nearby.

One of the best hotels you can find in Velankanni. Its hard to find better hotels there. Also, the restaurant there is one of the best of you are planning to go there with your family. MGM always serve good food.. Be it the ECR MGM resort or the Velankanni hotel. If you just want a hassle free place to stay with your family, then dont look elsewhere for a peaceful stay. Out of 3 bedrooms in the duplex villa, 1 was living room arranged with cart, and didnt had any privacy. The remaining 2 rooms were very small to accommodate 2 person. Mirror wasnt available in the rooms. Only common bathroom is available for both the rooms in first deck. The stairs wont be safe for kids. Breakfast buffet was awesome. Playing area and swimming pool was well maintained. Parking facility is available within the residency. Own transportation is preferable as the Shrine is 1.5 KM away from residency.

Good and neat room. Polite staff. Best service. Restaurant with good food and great ambience. Even the parcel cover and water bottle given in the restaurant were bio degradable, which is eco friendly. Only issue was, it is located 1.5 kms from the velanganni church. Those who arent with vehicles may find it difficult. Other than everything was perfect about the hotel

Their room doors locked us in twice. But without much hassle we were able to unlock it. Probably one of the best hotels near the shrine. Not exactly walking distance but its better to stay away from the congested areas.The ambience was serene and peaceful. The rooms were spacious and ample parking space was available. Their single restaurant was passable. Food was better and cleaner than most other hotels in the vicinity. Staff were very helpful and informative.They could have maintained it better. As it wasnt the cleanest hotel Ive been to. For a 3 star hotel it was a good experience.

Not so great with food....the property looks good...we stopped at this place for tea and snacks....both came very late....the bajjis were not great....coffee was horrible(very strong)

ParkingOne of the few places in Vailankanni where you can park your car peacefully as there is ample and safe parking.ConvenienceIts a little far from the church but definitely my choice everytime as the Hotels near Church are not easily accessible by car nor has a good parking space. It is very convenient to just hail an auto to the church where you dont need to worry about parking. It costs about 150 rupees one way.FoodThe food is good but slightly more expensive than what you get in the crowded restaurants in Vailankanni.ServiceThe staff are very polite and ever willing to be of help.

Food at virundhu restaurant is really awesome. Prawn Briyani is my favorite dish.

We stayed in MGM residency for 2 days. We took two villas, the place was nice and clean. The staffs were very polite and well mannered. The swimming pool was great and the breakfast was super awesome. I can safely bet this is one of the best places to stay in Velankanni!

Hotel and restaurant staffs were very courteous. A little away from church but still could be easily reached via bus or auto. Nice restaurant, a little expensive though. Had a nice breakfast. Pool was ok..Had taken a villa room. There is no common space. Rooms were not very clean (dust in some rooms).

Nice place to stay, well maintained and awesome service including their restaurant. My kiddo enjoyed the kids pool and the play area and wasnt willing to check out. The food at the inhouse restaurant was above my expectation. The only con would be the room size, it wasnt as big as shown in the pictures, it might be a little congested if you are family of 4. Overall a pleasant stay.

This place is perfect for tourists who want to visit the famous Basilica of Our Lady of Good Health. The MGM is located near the Church, so travelling doesnt become an issue. You can visit the Basilica whenever you want without worrying about your commute. The hotel has various amenities. They provide customers with prompt service and staff members are friendly and helpful. They serve authentic south Indian food thats freshly prepared. I really enjoyed the food here, it was amazing.

Comparatively one of the best hotels in Velankanni.

The hotel has restored operations. Room are near as usual. Rooms are cleaned every day and sanitized.

A very good place with smiling and courteous staff. Rooms are clean and spacious. There was a decent spread of items for breakfast with Dosas and omelette available on live counter. They would also help in commutation by booking autos for church or beach visits from the hotel, if informed in prior.

Good Place to stay while visiting Mother Marys Church at Vailankanni.Have visited with my family many times in the past 15 years. Recent visit after a gap of may be 4 years. looks like few changes, room rates are reduced, Bar has come up.Think its the only place with a good swimming pool in and around Vailankanni.Breakfast is surely the best of all the hotel options in the area. Did enjoy a wonderful breakfast.Rooms are just adequate .Only hotel in Vailankanni with a large parking space for vehicle.

Loved the stay here the staff are best. Early morning check-in was not an issue at allLittle far from the main church, the Rick guy charge 100₹ per ride. Make sure you ask and sit inside the Rickshaw.The pool was nice in this place and food was awesome.

Got opportunity to meet the MD 3 times..Such a kind and humble person..This pace is know for kindness and great hospitality the pool areas are way better than other posh hotels surely recommend

Pros:1. Easy to locate as it is bang on the highway and just near to the road to Velankanni church. 2. Booked 3 Grandeur rooms and they were all well maintained and clean including the bathrooms. 3. Rooms were spacious and had a balcony view facing the pool.4. Swimming pool was well maintained and clean.5. Restaurant had a good ambience especially during the night. Neatly done even though it is not that huge.Cons:1. Only 2 500ml bottled water available as complimentary per room and an additional bottle is charged. At least a common water dispenser should have served the purpose.2. Mini bar is available in each rooms with nuts, chips, biscuits, cold drinks and chocolates but not as complimentary. You can rather avoid placing these items as they are charged at a higher price than MRP inclusive of taxes. e.g. One small Bingo chips packet was billed for 31 rupees.Overall a good comfortable stay indeed..!!!

A good hotel to relax after long drive to velankanni. It is 2 kms away from the chrurch and so the env is calm and quite. No horn sound and crowd - will have a peaceful stay. The food varitey is also good.But the stay is expensive and if you dont bother about money against a good stay - i would recommend this place.
