Had a great experience here.I was here only for a day but really loved the ambiance. Spacious rooms and recent n hygienic cusines.When it comes to costomer service, I got immediate response for all my queries.Place is also neat and clean. Both interior and exterior designs were good.All together, Good place to stay and kudos team. Keep up the good work.

I stayed with my family for one night my experience was great.When we walked the welcoming was very pleasantSelvan assisted us an exceptionally down to earth person who understands the customer and gives a positive attitude.We had dinner chicken biriyani chicken chettinad and nann bread it really tasted greatWe had a good comfortable sleep.Next day morning we had breakfastIddily sambar chutney poori potatoe masalaIt was yuumWhen we checked out Selvan assisted us again also got our car washed-up and ready to go.The downside i experienced wasI couldnt get coffee between 10.30 p.m and 6.00 a.mAfter i finish my meal i left the dirty dishes outside the room and informed the reception to clear it but it was not taken away until i said the second time which was 3 hours later.I really wanted to give 5 stars if that didnt happen

I would say this is the best place to stay if you are going to velankanni. Its situated in a calm area away from the traffic and cramped dirty places like the other resorts and hotels. This is a business hotel and service is excellent. The restaurant is good and prepares good tasty food. I hope the service remains the same and be humble. I highly recommend this place, if you are cleanliness freaks like me and my wife and are very particular about the place you stay and high standard of facilities needed then in velankanni this is the place to go. Thanks Chandra Royal Inn for the excellent service.

*There is no respect for the customers*... The way they handle the customer during non season times is too worse... If you book rooms here there Wont even be a courtesy to look after your messages... and the room you booked wont even be ready... if you are coming with family this place is not suitable... (the parents should stay in different room and the children in different room)the rate is too high for the rooms without any facilities and accommodation... if U dont believe pls check other hotels and thank me

Cons:No digital transaction only cash.-- This itself makes you think that there is some malpractice. I accepted it as there wasnt much options with family and later once I returned noticed that there was no invoice no for the receipt I got. In short - unaccounted money...Lifts not working:-- Luckily I was on the first floor but there were customers on higher floors who were complaining about this and the hotel guys bluntly reverted back to them that they could leave... with family i feel you would just take the beating instead of being stranded on the road with no rooms.No hot water in Bathroom-- There was no hot water late/early hours.Room-- The AC was not in good condition and was tough to manage the hot weather @ Velankanni-- Torn bed spreads.-- TV channels were not clear.Pro:Parking-- There was ample space to park your vehicle.Hygiene:-- Toilet was cleanNeutral:Restaurant:-- Ok.. ok, not much of options, but its better than going out in search of one after a tiring day.

We stayed as family in the hotel last week.The word Hospitality is unknown to the all the staffs working there.Every staffs from reception to room service is raw and without experience. They behave like your masters and their attitude is highly unbecoming of a Hotel Staff.Nobody will come back to the hotel.Complementary breakfast is utter waste and no taste.Irresponsible staffs will definitely take you to hell on your valuable cost.The hotel management is not fit to run a Hotel.We advise never ever think to stay in the hotel.* Bala *Chennai

If youre looking for an elegant, peaceful, budgeted place then opt for this place....! 3-star service...! Breakfast was average though...! Just 2 kms away from the shrine. So, commuting isnt an issue. And away from the busy road to the shrine. Just call the auto guy 10 mins prior to your commute and hell be there to serve you. Nice and very polite and courteous guy....

We stayed here by booking through Goibibo.. While chick in to hotel the reception guy who was little old saying we are stopping booking from Goibobo and all he saying he tamil. I booked for complementary breakfast.. I couldnt find an buffet kept in restaurant.. I believe we where the only gust in that hotel.. We stayed in 2015 that time service was excellent.. Now its not handled in professional manner..

Average food. Good parking area. Free from hustle and bustle of velankani near church. Around 10mins from main shrine. Decent amenities for family. Neat place.

This relatively upscale accommodation in Velankanni town is the newest addition to the town that has numerous budget hotels. It is on the ECR, near the arch before entering the town. Offers complementary breakfast until 9.15 am. Restaurant doesnt remain open throughout the day. Sometimes, the debit/credit card swiping EDC machines dont work in Velankanni hotels. Thankfully, there are enough ATMs in the town.

Unfortunately with time this hotel has lost the charm of being a customer friendly hotel. Would be my second preference if I have to go back. There are better hotels now 200mts away for the similar price and better service

Its value for money. Cost effective among the list of residency around. Well thought through design and features. In house restaurant food tastes very normal. Anyone from Chennai would find the food taste and quality to be mediocre.

One of the few places that dont have a stringent 24 hour tariff policy. Based on your needs and duration, they give you an appropriate tariff. Was very pleased with that. Clean, spacious rooms and very courteous staff.

New property with seepages and musty smell. They refuse to take cards and insist on cash payments.They manager Chandrasekhar has a small town bully mindset.When you ask for a proper bill with GST details he gets agitated.Not even Paytm.Sad for a good property in a good location.Go if you have no other choice

Clean and spacious hotel rooms. Located at strategic point very near to Velankanni shrine and Nagapattinam. Only problem is with no sufficient hot water available in bathrooms.சௌந்தரராஜன்.

Decent place to stay in Velankanni. They serve decent food as well. Away from the rush the hotel is tucked outside the chaotic town. Ease of parking! They also provide beds and restrooms for drivers.

Hotel is good but service and attitude of staffs are pathetic.They dont promote online customers since they feel their benefits are less.. They irritate and push you out by 12 noon irrespective of late check in..I have booked through Goibibo and during my call before reaching they tried even to avoid by saying, they dont have confirmation...Sounds like they want to resell the booking.. surprised on their poor behavior.Poor commercial hotel.

Great service by the staff. Although it is a bit away from the shrine, there are vehicles for hire which can drop you here. Breakfast is good and so is dinner. You need to be in on time to the restaurant though.

I am a regular visitor of velankanni shrine for many years and i used to stay at Chandra Inn from the time of its opening. For the past 4 years everything went fine eventhough there were small issues while it had the value for money. But my last visit was really horrible and i sadly decided to never go again. We were a group of 5 peoples and we usually stay in the family room which has 2 king size beds. We checked in by 6.30pm and rested for sometime before going church and we felt that AC is not working properly. We asked the room boy and he told it will be fine in an hour. But even after 2 hours from our return from church the room doesnt became cool and we complained the reception for which they alloted a new room. After that the real trouble started. The dinner ordered was half cooked, the service was terrific and they dont even provide bathroom towels or toiletteries. Also the air conditioner in the second room was also not working properly but we deicided to continue in the same because of our tiredness. The complimentary breakfast was just okay but the attitude of staff was so unpleasant that they didnt gave napkin upon request. During the time of checkout we complained about all of this then the awful manager started shouting on us and the owner came. He is a good guy and known for us for past 4 years dealt with decency but we informed him we are not coming back again. If they need function for a longtime then they should appoint polite and cordial staff also should do proper maintenance. Many hotels are available nearby for the same price and i recommend to stay way from this property.

Lift not working...no proper WiFi... restaurant food v costly...card payment not accepted...power failure in between...plug points not working.. not enough plug points...no coffee maker in the room..no A/c in common places... small A/c in family room... not fit for charging like a star hotel... only good thing is room boys behavior.. will never choose this place again..

I have been in this hotel with my family from 14 -16 January 2016Spacious car park & rooms, well mannered staff and food also nice.Shortage of staff and lack of professionalism is dampening the prospects of restaurantPeriodical cleanliness is lacking in rooms.Except the above two, a newly, well constructed, contemporary concept hotel in ECR road.

I had a very bad experience with this Hotel.When I booked the room for my family they said they are open after Cyclone Gaja.But they are focusing only to get the room rent.No electricity for hours.If you ask they will say.Go to your room,it will come.FOOD : WE ATE THE FOOD WITH WORMS (SEE THE ATTACHED PHOTO).WHEN I COMPLAIN ABOUT IT THEY CASUALLY IGNORED IT AND SAID THEY WILL BE CAREFUL NEXT TIME .AND THEY HAVE STARTED SHOWING WRONG FACES.Not at all a better place to stay with family (not about safety but about the food) .Please stay away.

The hotel is inbetween court cases. They only accept cash and nothing else. Everything tgere is illegal.Never venture ibto that place.Reception is not only rude but even threaten you.

Rude front office reception. Food tasted pathetic, also i noticed piece of hair within idly they served. Been here couple of times, quality of service went down over couple of years.

The rooms were really bad. The bedsheets were torn and not washed. Same case with the pillows and the washrooms were not good either. I was shown three rooms but same situation everywhere. Definitely wouldnt go there anymore.

Goons running the Hotel !!!We complained about the faulty A/c and undercooked food. Hotel staffs didnt even bother to reply. Told the hotel-manager were all going to give negative reviews. Then they replied with all bad words and curses and threatened us they will man handle us. Such an unsafe place for family & kids.
