I like the simple vintage deco of the restaurant. Taste wise hot plate chicken is too sweet. Beef rib soup is fine. In general the tastes is not very fantastic. The nearby corner Korean restaurant tastes better actually. The best is still the Haw Par Villa that Ju Shin Jung Korean restaurant, I would drive 20mins down to that one for Korean food rather than walk 1min to this one…

Really homey and tasty Korean food. Been here multiple times. Vintage decor and interesting collections of Korean artifacts. You may only choose to refill two small dishes for once. Don’t understand the negative reviews. This is not a hawker center, main dish is around 20.

Had the beef ribs, which the meat was tough and chewy, had way better for a $22 portion, the spicy pork rib and potato soup was ok but at $22 a portion, flavour could have been better. 1st time I had to pay for barley tea, and was only allowed 2 small dish refill?? Not coming back :(

Dont trust the reviews. Came here based on the reviews but failed every points. First of all, not affordable as mentioned. Price point higher than most. Next is that u can forget about service. None at all. Im hoping Im not paying for it. I wouldnt know now as my experience is so bad that I felt compiled to review in the middle of my meal. Have to vent the frustration. Looks authentic because of old interior. Taste wise not impressive. I may be biased due to the bad service experience. But I dont think they are fantastic. Soup tasted like instant ingredients.

Served foods are not bad though but I won’t tell it’s super duper good. And that sauced fried chicken was too small for the price, even the sauce is tasty.

Terrible. Pancake was soft and gooey.Army stew was basically an instant ramen soup base with cheap ingredients thrown in and they have the audacity to charge a min of $40.Squid was too sweet and chewy and service was below average.Avoid.

2nd time here. Sam gye tang still as tasty. Highly recommended. However, reason for 3 stars is due to service. Not sure why was I given only 3 types of side dishes, but the other tables had 5-6 side dishes (same number of people). Assumed this was because my table ordered only 1 dish to share. Why so stingy? And when the waitress brought 6 side dishes to my table, the other senior waiter told her that it was the wrong order and she had to packed back all the 6 side dishes. She then returned with the 3 side dishes as shown in the pic. Why so stingy? Moreover, overheard from the other tables that they have to pay $1 per additional side dish. No refill of side dishes. First time I heard this in a Korean restaurant. WHY SO STINGY? Overall, good tasting restaurant run by stingy people. 3 stars

Simple well made Korean food. Ambience I believe is a nod to Korean nostalgia. The taste of the dishes were really good and service was prompt. It gets a bit crowded during lunch times but overall a great neighbourhood Korean restaurant. We enjoyed their kimchi ramen and Korean fried chicken. Their sides were all yummy.

Lets be sincere. Food wise, I would say not too bad, the special sauce chicken is good, the kimchi hotpot was way not value for money... one packet of noodle, sausages, luncheon meat, few slices of pork and kimchi for sgd40? But the service is the problem of all. The social distancing is barely one meter between tables, the workers are not curteous. Definitely can be better

Tofu Sundubu was awesome.Food was on the pricey side, budget about $40-$50 per pax (for BBQ, which was actually just a large hotplate, and also drinks). Can keep under $25 per pax if eating just 1 dish per person.Very homely feeling, korean taste.Avoid their pancakes.

Walked passed this store and thought of trying it awhile ago but after entering, none of their staffs acknowledged mine nor my family’s presence. Should have took that as a sign. Today, we went back again at a less crowded time.Everything was overpriced, the steamed egg was salty, the Korean pancake was undercooked and has a taste of flour to it and unlike other Korean restaurants, you have to pay for Korean tea.The best dish was the mandatory complimentary side dish that all Korean restaurants have.I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. I have been to Korea and nothing beats the food there but I would rather travel all the way to Chinatown for Korean food than eat here.

Excellent meal from Parker Korean ! Totally underrated for the last few years. We had a birthday party here ( 10 pax ) and awesome kOrean kimchi pancake , ginseng chicken. My top fav is the kimchi soup, beef short rib soup and of course then fried chicken ! Kimchi seafood pancake and BBQ Pork was a hit with the kids . Char Jiang Mien is very good, one of the best we have tried. And Guess what ! They TOP up endlessly the side dishes , awesome KIMCHI and rolled 🍳 egg! Thank you Parker ! We will be back. Do head down and try it. You will love every bit ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Came here on a cold Sunday night, wasnt very crowded. Read some reviews on Google but didnt expect very much. To our pleasant surprise the food tasted really authentic like what I had in Korea. My wife and I had the Galbi Tang and Pork Belly with Kimchi and they are really tasty. The side dishes were really nice as well. Price is reasonable for a Korean restaurant, you pay about the same as a typical Korean restaurant so no complaints there. Typical mains from S$16 onwards. Will love to come back again

Very authentic Korean food, delicious sides and mains. Many people said their service is slow, but as we managed to stay around till quite late, we witnessed that there were only 2 very cute auntie and uncle in their 60s (one cooking and one doing everything else) , so slightly slower service would be expected. Personally since Im never in a rush (enjoy life peeps), I felt this aint a factor

This is not an authentic Korean restaurant. If you want to support locally owned businesses by patronising this restaurant, be prepared to be served by unfriendly staff (an auntie whom I assume is the lady boss) who thinks you owe them a living.Galbi Tang and complimentary side dishes were the only saving grace for our order.Barley Tea is charged per bottle without prior notice.Avoid their Goon Mandu (gyoza) which taste frozen and bland. For $15, you might as well buy from NTUC and fry them yourself.1st and last time here.PS: Very prompt reply from the owner. Appreciate your reply and explanation. Cheers and stay safe!

Review №48

Quite a disappointing experience. Very mediocre food for high prices, with poor service and lacklustre portions. The Yuk Gae Jang which i ordered was average tasting, however for 20 dollars per bowl, i had expected that the side dishes would make up for it in terms of quantity. The side dishes only came in as a tiny portion, for a group of 4. My request for a top-up of side dishes was not received well, the waitress was most reluctant to oblige and she kept reminding us that we only had one or two top up dishes left. (Bear in mind we came in quite a big party.) The dolsot bibimbap was not fantastic either, having a watery taste. The seafood pancake as a side dish was just sad. Had a very doughy texture, and the only seafood present on it was small pieces of obviously frozen supermarket shrimp (size of a ten cent coin), not worth its price at all. All-in-all a very disappointing experience, i had hoped that the price would be justified by above average tasting food, with good service and generous side dish portions. Ultimately, it all fell short. 0/10 would return again.

I had a simple meal...a soup with vegetable and clams. Simple and tasty with depth. And while the sides are not the trendy sort, they are well made (chilled bean sprouts, kimchi and green leafy vegetables). And there’s a complementary dessert (fruits) at the end of the meal. Frankly, this place may not attract the young and the restless because of its less-than-modern deco, but the food is tasty in a homemade way. I’m Glad I found it.
