When I ordered a plate of Pav Bhaji… they gave us a plate of Pav with Dal… lol😂 and when I called them back, they said we should judge the bhaji by its color ROFL😂😂😂😂

I have no doubt that this is the best place for Indian sweets in GTA. Got my Diwali sweets from here and I cant describe how happy I am to have authentic Indian sweets.I have ordered food as well but unfortunately never took photo of food😦. Great deal on the samosas here and some of the best Ive tried in Scarborough! The ratio of the samosa mix vs outer crust is perfect!

Great place. Not as busy as it used to be, but still a good stop! They definitely had more business before the neighbouring restaurant moved in, but I’ve been going there since I was a kid. The sweets are very fresh and taste amazing! That’s why I would keep going back again.

Slow service althought it was not busy. I see a sign saying freshness takes time. However it does not justify you serving me cold food and making me wait Long. Taste is alright, nothing special. HAVE NEVER HAD A WHOLE BEETROOT IN MY COLD SAMOSA CHAAT...WHO PUTS BEETROOT IN CHAAT..

Yesterday we picked up catering food for our guests. I drove from ajax to Scarborough in hope that food will be of good quality, but when we served the food to our guests, we were disheartened with the quality. The Karahi paneer was sour, the paneer pieces were so thick and hard like rock. It was worst karahi paneer, we have ever experienced. The kadhi pakora was terrible too and the daal makhni was equally bad with so much water and no taste. Our guests were disappointed, this kind of food is not good for health either. The restaurant is so busy that guys working on the front they don’t care about customer service, for them it seems that they are doing free service to customers and were rude when I called them asking to talk to the owner. This is deem to happen in business when owner, is not involved in day to-today operations and they are not willing to listen to customer issues and have a “we don’t care attitude”. I hope the owner will spare time in reading this review with open mind. For us we are done, we are not going back to this restaurant and will not recommend our friends either.

Authentic north indian delicious food. Great combination of flavors and spice mixtures.Portions and price is very reasonable and good for one person. At times more wai time ,but most cases wait time is around 10 minute

Awesome Taste, Fresh Food!

Ordered food for take out for my son’s wedding during covid times. It was delicious and had a very authentic Indian taste. Highly recommend the Ras malai! Amazing taste! The food was very well packed with no leaks and no disturbance to the garnish. The quantity was more than sufficient. They were very accommodating to our requests. All the best!

Always great food, find the malai koftas seem to be gettin smaller but other then that still great food!

It was horrible experience. I placed an order via phone. The guys had a LOT LOT LOT OF ATTITUDE.He asked me for my name and I was spelling it for him but he interrupted me rudely. I asked if you can make food less spicy and he replied they CAN’T. He did not use THANK YOU, SORRY.I felt so bad after placing an order.Then, when I reached there, I called to check if my order is ready and the same guy told me I told you it will take 30 mins why are you calling?I was taken aback with his answer.I called again and asked to cancel my order because it was very bad customer service.I would not recommend this place!!!

My mom and I have been coming here for over a decade. We personally don’t enjoy sweets, so we get an extra veg option. The food is amazing, the naan is fresh to order so you have to wait for it to be baked. I find their food consistently delicious.Pictured below is two Veggie Thali combos. 2 for $20 (that’s with tax). Both Thali’s come with salad, rice, and your choice of naan/roti/bhatura. Naan is on the left and Bhatura on the right.My personal faves are the Palak Paneer, Aloo Gobi, and Matar Paneer.I have no real comments on the service, a few years ago they changed staff/owners, and the previous guy was so friendly and would always make conversation.

Felt very disrespected, the students who work there are untrained servants. Hope this message reaches to owner.After my turn came to order, two guys standing in went inside. I was standing there for few minutes, it literally felt like I wasnt welcome there to order. No more visits from me to this unprofessional place. I recommend everyone to stay away as well.

Went here on my co workers word trust me when I say I regret walking in to this place and wasting my hard earned money on food that must of been days if not weeks old. mala kofta was hard and not fresh got large but it was only full of gravy no kofta got another karhi pokara no sauce only hard dumplings not fresh food never again dont recommend

Their Veggie Thali is a must try, if you havent tried it yet. Just delicious. They also have the best samosas in town.

Ive been going here for many years but looks like the owners have changed .Before when i use to go service was quick ,and food was also fresh and staff was friendly . Now the food is still fresh but service is very slow . These new students running the place dont really know whats going on and sometimes when i order thali the thali is ready and the naan is also there but they never call client to pick up order we have to sit there and keep asking by then food gets cold .. Old owners or the old guys running the place better

Tried channa bhatuhra and thali tasted orignal as india and the turban and the skinny guys at front are very friendly and polite delivered my order soon and i recommend everyone to come and try channa bhtura and thali.

I always had pani poori and i really love it. Will try other stuff for sure. Scarboroughs best pani poori with nice staff helping you to provide there best for your taste. Keep it up guys.

Got take out for Chana bhatura the chickpeas were hard and uncooked and the bread with it was very greasy more than usual the taste is way different than it was when dine in was an option I won’t return

Worst customer service. Even placing order in advance takes long time. Missed my order and people came after me gets their orders ahead of mine.

First time in 50 years, I was offered a birthday meal and text didnt say that it was only to be taken on the same day as ur birthday or u would miss free meal. Thats not fair as people have busy love and couldnt make visit on birthday for this meal. They should give few days to claim.

I ordered chola bhatura, it was okay but they should also give a little salad and lemon on the side. It’s a one time show.

This is my first visit based on someone recommendation. It was Saturday 3 Pm during covid lock down. It was busy but the veg curry palak paneer and shahi paneer were completely tasteless. It was full of cream and sugar no spicy no tadka at all. Very disappointed.

Today i ordered chaat papri from this restaurant, i ordered hot , instead of using any hot sauce, they just put 4 to 5 spoons of red chilli powder, i was not able to eat it, just throw it, stay away from this restaurant. Bad experience. I won’t even give 0 star to it.

Tried this for the first time today, I’m absolutely blown away and the portions are very generous! I would recommend this to my friends and my friend’s friends; delicious! 😛😛

Wish I could give 0 rating. Just ordered motichoor Laddu and milk cake and they sent khoya barfi. I called them to confirm and the reply he gave was shocking-“Mam our chef changed the recipe so that’s why it’s little light in colour”I mean seriously? The colour can be different but taste and how come a change in recipe can entirely change the taste.

While rushing to fulfill multiple orders, please dont pass on incomplete dishes to the customers. I just picked up my Chana Bhatura on a Saturday and the salad/also sabji pocket is almost empty.

We ordered 4 kinds of chaat at this place. All of them were cold and samosa, tikki tasted stale. Wouldnt recommend this place to anyone.

Not worth it. Food is not tasty

First I gave him 4 start. But today I ordered my food from them and they make very bad. I asked them specially for yogurt inside my food and they said yogurt is inside but when I opened there is no yogurt and food taste was very bad specially onions. I was not able to eat my food. And I think they are using old stuff in my food.WORST EXPERIENCE AND WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I been coming here since I was a kid, the thalis are my favourite. Price wise its very fair compared to other places. Solid portions, the carrots they give with the channa and thalis is amazingg

The Chana batura is my go to when visiting but the last three times the patatoes were well under cooked and super hard.

Bought Thali and some other snacks.Rice in thali is stale make sure you ask for fresh cooked rice .Chana Bhatura chick peas taste like a day old .Do not order samosa chaat as samosas are chewy with stuffing inside .Yes roti and puri are fresh .

This restaurant is running a scam on skip the dishes. The meal is called Channa Bhatura served with a bhatura, puri and your choice or Naan or roti. But they only gave one Naan and there is no bhatura. Very disappointed that the restaurant is making fool of people by mis-labling dishes and false advertising as to what will be provide in the order.

Ive been getting takeout for over 2 decades from A1 sweets. The food has been consistently delicious and this is the main reason I go back. I miss seeing Pooja there.

Take out order - food quality was ok. But they were not following the govt mandated COVID precautionary measures. The lady that was taking the order was not wearing a mask. Notice two customers walked in without mask and the were not even asked by the lady taking the order to wear one. The place definitely to be avoided until the situation improves.

Used to be good food for a good price kinda place till last year. The quality of food has definitely dropped since I last enjoyed a meal here. Good price value but if the food itself is not edible, doesnt count.

It is a nice small shop with limited seating. Food is good and portions are decent. I tried Indian thsli in which you can choose your options from the dishes present. The paneer dishes were good and nice. The roti and naan were decent. I choose to have gulab jamun and that was also nice. Spice levels are low so it will suit all.

Veg Thali is really good and malai kofta is a must recommendation

Hello everyone I order food over $200. But it was not enough in containers. Today was my uncle and aunt marrige anniversary but the food was very less the containers were not enough filled so very disappointed. I wont order anything form you guys.

And I dont even see the extraordinary quality which would differentiate them being costly..... So all in all average experience......... Changing my review just because of a single employee named AKASH worst customer service.... Doesnt know how to deliver a good customer experience.... Lack of enthusiasm towards his work..... Just plainly worst employee of the whole restaurant..... If I could rate him as an individual... I would give him in negative star.....

Worst Indian taste ever. Only preferable for sweets.

Ordered Naan, Malai Kofta and potato curry. Naan tasted really sour and the malai kofta curry was so oily. I used to love this place for their freshly prepared food. Missed the mark this time. Their prices are so high for their portion sizes too.

I am a big fan of A1 and have been going there for the last 12 years. Food is always tasty. There is never a bad food day. The portions are adequate and very affordable.
