Place is good for backpackers and private rooms also available. Rooftop has an amazing view and sustainable setup. But charges are quite high for a small private room and beddings are not smelling fresh.

Dont ever visit ZOSTEL 1.0.Dorms are so unhygienic. Bad Smell of dampness , Unprofessional staff, Filthy rooms with bugs and dirty linen. Lights of the room were not working,When I asked for a solution from their staff they showed a completely different side. Now they are just taking using their name with such pathetic and deteriorated peoperty.I have spent 2 nights just because I didnt find any better option.

We stayed at zostel tapovan on our trip, and it was great Nd amazing..Location was perfect for walking to everything! Rakhi Nd Sanjay was helpful..Room was perfect for my daughter and myself. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this zostel for anyone .. high speed of wi-fi, also the rooms were cleand and confort bed. it has a fantastic location for the people that visit Nd for work... Loved it

We are here post relaxation of covid rules when most of the things are closed. Rishikesh has a laid back vibe which reflects in the hostel too. You expect a certain crowd at zostel which was present here so it felt lively.Special mentions for the service from the lady at the receptionist and Sanjay. Since its covid most of the activities are not there but we do go for a night walk to Ganga nearby led by Sanjay. Its a good place to chill and a decent place for workation.

Also they have small parking area if you come on your own vechile and near to the happening places like Laxman Jhoola and Market. You can take Auto rickshaw of 10/-₹ to reach there from rishikesh. For better experience book in advance.

Amazing visit to the place. It is located in Tapovan, close to Rishikesh. Had a dormitory of eight beds booked and was a fantastic day pretty close to the main city and beautiful room. Was very clean and also had good washrooms. Affordable price and a nice place if you are willing to stay for any durations and also has a good reception area to wait. Also offers free Wi-Fi.

My entire trip was extremely memorable not because of the places I saw but because of the people I met in zostel Rishikesh - especially Avanti, Ruchi and Rahul from the team of zostel. They went out of the way to take care and make sure we felt at home away from home and there wasnt a single moment of uncertainty or confusion regarding anything when they were around . The vibe of this place is so warm and welcoming , that even if you travel solo here you wont feel like youre in a strange place - each and every corner of this place is so beautiful with an amazing view to wake up to each morning.Cant wait to go back and make more memories here.Highly highly recommend you to go and live here at least once to experience home away from home.

So much heard of Zostel through my friends who have explored many Zostels but first time I have been to Zostel family at Rishikesh.I went solo to Zostel having so much in mind that I would feel so much alone there but team zostel and specifically volunteer Tasneem has never let me feel isolated and it was like I am with my new family.Rooms and ambience are very much attractive and they have many games to play apart from other activities like Bollywood Dance Class, Yoga Class and many more.Volunteer is very active and takes everyone to explore the beauty of Rishikesh. She took us to many new places in Rishikesh.Overall, been to Zostel Rishikesh is amazing experience and inspires me to explore new Zostels across India.

Visited Few years back. Nice place to stay near Town of rishikesh and very clean & Maintaitnance is pretty good. People in the reception was kind enough to give early check in if possible. Overall one more good experience added to my zostel stays. Rishikesh is definetly a great place to visit when making a trip to uttarkhand .Apart from spiritual ground , its more of a hippie land with loads of adventure and nature inclined to it.Happy Tripping 😀😀

Everything was good except the washroom which could have been better as it wasnt that clean. The room was good. Their services were good as well. Though they didnt provided the complementary breakfast to me but the food was good. The overall ambiance of the place was fab as well. I had awesome stay here.

So I arrived in Rishikesh alone with a 5 night plan not knowing what Ill be doing there. I check in at zostel. Meet a couple of people and jump forward 5 days, Im checking out... Sad to leave the place but happy that I had the most memorable trip!!Basically this hostel is a rad place. The staff is amazing and very helpful and interactive.The rooms are neat and have apt space with lockers. And the best part is that each room (even dorms) have their own bathroom. Perfect!!Also I havent stayed at many hostels but this is definitely the most activity oriented one. Theres always stuff going on like trek, temple visit, dance classes, yoga and more.Oh and theres a rooftop Cafe which serves delicious food. My recommendation : kaju paneer.So if theres one place in rishikesh that Im going back to...its Zostel!

The New Zostel Rishikesh 2.0 is a 2* hotel converted into zostel. The building still holds the name of the earlier hotel. The rooms are ok, washroom is very bad, Taps and basin was broken, the water flow was very bad. Most importantly the people at the reception and volunteers were rude and extremely unhelpful. We had a very bad experience here. Its very cramped and barely any open space. We have visited more than 2 Zostels earlier, this was a bad one thou. They also allowed 2 families with kids in the zostel. Its nothing like other Zostels and for all the first timers you have better places to go. Totally avoidable.

One of the best places to stay in Rishikesh. Well equipped with all facilities, friendly staff and most interesting thing is the interactions with fellow hostellers. It’s an amazing experience! The rooms are clean and washrooms have hot running water. All in all a great experience.

The property is very nice and at the same time very well maintained & clean. The room & the facilities was good. Food quality was bad & they charged extra. Great location nearby to market place. Overall value for money.

This place is amazing, each room has a dedicated bathroom with a comfortable toilet, not the Indian traditional one. Beds are clean, bathrooms are neat and offer hot water. I could make a capsule from my bunk bed by using an extra blanket as a curtain. Staff is lovely and very polite, the reception girl and the owner made me believe that they really love me. The rooftop cafe presents daily opportunities to meet other travelers and is big and cosy enough to accommodate all visitors of the hostel. Food prices are average, but the food itself is delicious. There is also a working area with a public desktop PC

Great place if you are looking for a mesmerising place near the Ganga.I liked the hospitality and the management.Room service was good. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Good behaviour and atmosphere.Besides being on the side of national highway.. this place is quite serene.I loved the little things theyve done outside the hotel...very creative and beautiful.The atmosphere amd environment is good.Although it is a little distant away from laxman jhoola places and has around 20-30.mins of walking distance.Nevertheless, good place for your visit.We went there for nightstay and were pleased to find quite environment around us. No noice ..it was really good when you wamt a peaceful place.We didnt give any food order so i really have no idea about the food. But i hope others will have a good experience in that too.Great place for your stay.!!Thankyou zostel for your services.

Loved the place, The ambience, cleaniness and hospitality provided by the staff is like homecoming. There are also water sports activities which start and drop off at the zostel. This place is very convenient for exploring Rishikesh. Thelocation is at the center of the city. This place is close to Ram and Laxman Julla, scores of cafes each one better and different than the rest.

Zostel in Rishikesh is amazing and they have all range of activities taking place in the evening including dancing, bonfire with music etc. The ambience is great and the staff there is really very good, they are ready to help you in everything. Go on! You wont get disappointed for sure.

Zostel is amazing. I visited Zostel during new year. They had done amazing arrangements for new year, live music and dhol. I travelled solo and I enjoyed my stay at Zostel. The only problem was the blankets were not thick enough and the covers of blanket were dirty. There were lot of hairs on the blanket cover.

Great place to stay at and meet new people. I was traveling solo and had booked zostel for one day. The place was so much fun that I decided to extend my stay there for a few more days. The rooms are tidy and the vibe is amazing. The staff except for one grumpy lady in the reception is very friendly and helpful especially Shashi who is doing a great job.Zostel is a goto place if you are traveling solo or in a small group and wish to meet new people and explore new places.

Zostel, Rishīkesh is amazing place to stay for all travelers, Backpacker. Mostly crowd you see over here are foreigners and Young age crowd . The place is 1.5 km from Shree Ram Jhulaa which is walkable distance. Good ambience and good people.

Great place to stay with a good view of the Lakshman Jhula. The staff members here are very friendly and helpful. You can also join other zostellians to go on guided treks and white water rafting. These people can even help you book your bus or flight tickets if you pay them. The stay prices are pretty nominal. The restaurant here serves good Maggie, cold coffee and sandwich.

I had a good experience staying here at zostel, staff wer really friendly and helpful, their outdoors activities are really good and covers important places of rishikesh in a budget friendly rates, huge terrace and common area to chill nly reason m not giving it full five starts is because of the cleanliness it was good but not excellent. Rest I am definitely going back to stay there if ever I visit rishikesh again.

This was my second stay at zostel RishikeshIt was indeed a fabulous experience as this time I was a solo traveler. Made some wonderful friends and memories to cherish for a lifetime. The stay at zostel is very comfortable. Clean bed with a clean bathroom. The food available at their kitchen is yummy (one does not miss home food). Everyone is very kind and helpful. Would like to mention Anil who was very helpful and friendly. The bonfire at nights was fun. Gives a chance to mingle with fellow travellers. The common room is also a great place to chill playing indoor games, watching tv or just taking a nap. Shashi was a great host for a walk at Triveni ghat and exploring street food. This was my first Zostel experience and I kid you not it truly lives upto all the hype and reputation its getting these days.They staff is really really wonderful and helpful.The place is extremely hygienic.The best part of Zostel is the fellow travelers that meet from around the world.They have a in house cafe which can serve you variety of food ranging from tea maggi to full meal.(They have some really good parathas)The place is slightly away from the main Rishikesh City (3-5kms), but that has its own perks. In the evenings you are away from all the hustle as Rishikesh is getting crowded a lot theses days.

Clean rooms, hot water, consistent WiFi.What truly makes this Zostel a gem though, is Shashi. He’s a wealth of knowledge on the area, and is probably the nicest, most helpful person I’ve ever met. Without hesitation, after we checked in, he travelled around town with us to help with our Airtel SIM card issues.Even after we checked out and transferred to another nearby hostel, we still popped in to see Shashi and he invited us on afternoon excursions. The mark of a great stay is a host/staff that makes you feel like family; this was Shashi.

I had high expectations going in, but was quite disappointed by its ambience overall, and the quality of rooms being given.This is nowhere near the other zostel properties I have seen elsewhere.The staff at the reception arent the most courteous. Attitude aside, they dont have the friendly or helpful nature that youd expect all zostel staff to have.We had booked the private rooms and it was aweful. Stained and shabby walls, run down washroom and a barely clean bed. Not at all worth the price being charged for it. We did make them change our rooms, but the new one also wasnt that much better.Rooftop Cafe is decent though, but I never tried the food there.Now I did have a good time in the terrace meeting other guests, but since this review is strictly about the property, I cant let that improve its ratings.So my recommendation would be to try the other hostels on the other side of the river. They are cheaper and more lively.

Its my first experience of taking a private room in zostel, this place is located at main road and quite a long walking distance from Laxman Jula. Its a small and cozy building but has less amenities than other zostels I have been. Reception was friendly and helpful.

I reached Zostel on my way back from Kedarnath. By the time I was thr...I was extremely sick Fever and sinusitis. Staff took me to medical shop, their hot teas and soups got me almost normal in 1-2 days. Receptionist, kitchen staff were very kind.The people who are around staying thr are too good. Met some interesting people and made some life time friends in a very short time. Terrace is such dope ❤️🖤

If you are a solo traveller or travelling with your friends then this could be the best place to be, because youll meet people from different parts of the world and you can learn share your and can know about them.The Rooms are awesome, clean the common area is also cool, it also have a roof top area which is very cool you have peace ☮️ thereAnd then the staff is very supportive and will help you a lot in all the stuff you want to know and can arrange activities for you theyll help you in every possible aspect.You can go there as it is very cheap, 8 bed mixed share is approximately 500 bucks. Which is very decent and they also have private room facilities, for those who are travelling as couples or for those who need privacy.There is also a restaurant there on the 1st floor which have good quality food and is very cheap .Actually it has a room for all.Hope this may help.

Its a must stay for a solo wanderlust. You must be like ready for their daily surprise events. For me it was the live musicals and I had a darling time. Wad one of the best dinners I enjoyed in Rishikesh . For u to really enjoy the stay here u need to be here. Dont wander off too much if ur stay is short. Be here in zostel and then at the holy ganges. For long stays people u lucky ba*stards. Go and roll over the places in rishikesh. Rent a 2 wheeler else u will remain among the crowded... This is the best zostel that I have visited till date. Superb Hospitality. The team arranges everything for you. Be it rafting, morning trek, a bike on rent, yoga sessions, etc. Well maintained property and quick service is a win win. Special thanks to Veer, the two Ankits and Rakhi. Both the Ankits are very helping, friendly and strive hard to ensure that one feels at home. They literally helped me reach zostel back by 1 when I missed my train! Best place to live in Rishikesh, for people those who are coming for trekking, exploring.Really good service, you will get hot water all time..when you wanted to, also even if you came before check in time, they offer you to keep your luggage in common room,also you can take rest here free of costAmbience is best for hangouts.

Stinking room. Unclean bed. Washroom was dirty. Cancelled stay after one day. Checked in elsewhere. Other good reviews are correct about atmosphere outside the room, hangout place etc. But rooms are simply not stay-able.

Zostel, Rishikesh is a really fun, comfortable place to live in. The common areas are a fun place to make new friends. Their table tennis table was my favourite part. The place is easily accessible and clean and the people are really helpful and friendly. Book in advance if you know your trip dates. They have some really interesting activities planned in the evenings in case you have nothing lined up.

The Zostel is not clean at all. Seems unhygienic because of some very bad smell. The water geysers was broken of my room and the water comes around all over the room. Two of us slipped there badly. We have complaint about the same but they gave a very delay response. Will not suggest it to my friends. The only good part about that was there Graffiti and Roof top

I have stayed in this Zostel for 5 days and the experience in this Zostel was great. The rooms are spacious and clean. It is well organised and their limited food options are best.

A chain which I always admire is zostel and this zostel in Rishikesh is no different in amazing people. Zostel has become my home while Im traveling. I chose to be at Rishikesh recently. The staff is so warm, well behaved, and groomed that they ensure the best experience for you. Also, as they got to know that its my birthday that day, the entire team came to my room with a cake lit up with candles. What a gesture! Thats what a great hospitality is all about. Amongst so many places Ive stayed, this has to be amongst the best!! This is pure hippy kind of life! You get to meet a lot of new people and the ambience is just great! You must definitely book atleast one or two months in advance if you wish to stay here. Also, I should not forget to mention the two amazing dogs they have here. They are absolutely amazing creatures! The rooftop terrace with dining facility is amazing. The washrooms are very well maintained. Also, when you stay in dorms do make sure you respect others privacy and peace!Overall a very nice place to stay!Oh and yeah they have mixed dorms as well ;) also, they have several activities lined up through out the week. They also help you with renting scooters and booking for river rafting and bungee jumping! Hope this helps. Ill add further points if I find any!

Zostel is an unique experience in itself. This was the 3rd time i was staying in zostel rishikesh, & believe me it has always been an awesome stay. (This time it was the best)It is actually like the hostel scenes we see in movies, people chilling everywhere, some playing guitar with people singing around, some reading a book around the corner, some giggling in a group ...etcUnlike other commercial hostels where you are approached by the hostel staff to join into this, that and what not, ( compelling you to take up packages so that they can make money), Zostels are totally cool and so friendly in this aspect.The rooftop has been redecorated now and is simply mesmerising at nights with bonfire, guitar, people singing. ( In winters ).The food in zostel rishikesh was also great.(** Dont forget to ask for the secret menu**)Shoutout to the staff and manager there !!So, with a thunbs up and four other fingers i will rate 5/5 for zostel rishikesh ..!!

Right on the highway so no time wasted in locating and then teaching the highway the next day. Has parking for car & 2 wheeler. Zostel also tents 2-wheelers for roaming in the city. Has dorms n rooms. Has a common area on the terraceLike it!

The Best Place in Rishikesh to stay... You can connect with so many people when you are here because I made very good friends during my stay and I thank zostel Rishikesh for that. A very very good place to chill and not to miss out their cafe it is also a nice place to have good food and meet new people. This was my first stay at a hostel in India and I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of my stay at Zostel Rishikesh. The location of this hostel is perfect for tourists as everything is accessible. We booked all our river rafting activity and scootys for exploring Rishikesh from Zostel itself and it was super convenient. The rooms and bathroom are very clean and the staff is very helpful. They go out of their way to help you.

Zostel was enjoyable as always. Outside, the constructions were creating lot of dust. There were smokers as usual although there were boards that these were banned. Zostel, please take care of this.

Amazing place to stay with friends in a perfect environment. The place is perfectly managed and well served. The location is also good to cover all the nearby attractions in Rishikesh. If you are traveling alone or in a small group then nothing is better than zostel Rishikesh

This place is on the busy street. A few kms ahead of laxman jhoola if youre coming from the bus stand. Dorms are ok, food iss good, service is really good and the staff is awesome. One thing that I didnt like about the place is the traffic but then it cant be helped coz its in the heart of Rishikesh. I like seclusion but if you want want to move around the city, this location is perfect.

So i got a chance to spend good 3 days @zostel rishikesh. The property is spacious and clean. Also, the people managing it are just amazing.Rakhi, on reception, always welcomes you with a smile. Shashi makes everything comfortable for your stay. All other staff is super cordial.They have some great weekly events which will definitely give a kick of good vibes. Especially, jamming sessions by Sagar and Ankit. Food is decent. All in all, this is the ideal property for your rishikesh trip.
