I used to visit this beautiful place every time I am in Rishikesh to have their hello to the queen dessert but things have changed a lot. I was there day before yesterday and hated their food quality, quantity and customer service. I ordered White sauce pasta and they served Arabiata and kept convincing me that it’s Alfredo pasta.
Quick verdict -Not recommended. Average food and sub-par cleanliness.Food preparation and taste-Absolutely average. Bland. Tasteless. And not properly cooked. I ordered 2 Sizzlers - cottage paneer sizzler and mushroom potato sizzlerBoth Sizzlers used the exact same sauce. Which is disappointing because I ordered 2 Sizzlers so I can have different tastes.Add to that, the oil used -the paneer and the mushroom in the sizzler were lightly fried - was of the lowest quality possible given the bitter taste it left in our mouths. The sauces used in sizzler were plain in taste. It was closer to munchurian sauce rather than barbeque sauce. Again, a hack to cut costs. Out of all the things in the sizzler, only the sauce was hotThe rice used in the sizzler was okay. Probably was out in the open for a few hours before being served because it was cold. The fries / chips were also plain. They were the best part of the sizzler, which tells the dismal state of the food.Decor-The cafe targets a niche audience and uses shiva / Buddha / chakras related tapestries. But the cushions, and the sheets in their furniture were dirty, stained, had dust and looked as if they hadnt been washed in many months. You cant sit comfortably since you are robbed of your peace of mind.Location-Good. It is down the winding and snaking roads, which gives the walk a romantic element and you experience the inner side of Rishikesh.View-The only good part of this cafe. The sitting area gives you a great view of the river and ram jhula. If you ignore the food, you can enjoy a couple of hours here.
I have stayed in Rishikesh more than a week and Ive visited this place every day with my friends. This place is very friendly , food is in budget . I have tasted everything from their menu and every dish have unique taste. Note: dont expect spicy food in Rishikesh . ambience was lively love the theme, cafe is beside ganges u can witness beautiful sunset from this cafe. Music was lovely even u can play songs according ur taste. We brought our laptops and worked in this place . Staff are friendly , their will be small cat which is very friendly and u can witness monkeys 😜 dont worry they will not come inside , they half palmistry timings from 10am to 5pm. U will feel like home everything was amazing. By the way nice place to get bolenath ki prasad
Worst servicePathetic experienceMy friends and I went to the cafe to celebrate my birthday, a few days back, we sat there for around half an hour but no one came to take orders or even switvh on the fan or lights !View-wise is good but service is worst !The person incharge was standing there taking bill from another customer but he didnt pay any attention to us .!We were 8 people calling him again again totake the order !Wated my 30 min of day !
Best cafe in Rishikesh. Very good view from roof top. Everything was amazing . Slow service and Tasty food Amazing location.
Divine view/ best view in all of Uttarakhand by far any cafe has. Food was average / below par for Rishikesh high standard, however, everything is forgotten once you see the gorgeous views of the holy river at its supreme best. This pic is not filtered. It’s absolutely stunning and the place has well balanced the trance you go into by seeing the views by bringing you back on earth by the food it offers. A must go if you’re in Rishikesh. The steps leading upto the cafe is not for the faint-hearted, not for the elderly, however so worth it if you can manage the steep steps, approx 5 mins walk from the main market upslope. The sound from the river puts you to sleep after 10 mins. Not kidding. I saw people sleeping when I walked in and laughed. Only to find myself sleepy in sometime and heading out for a strong cuppa after a whole lot of sunset pics; and the enjoying cheering of the rafting revelers who finish their long downhill journey, just about at a point which is clearly visible and slightly audible from you at the cafe. It’s ecstatic this place if visited only around sunset. Heard about their live bands, couldn’t make it, so coming back for that next time. Thanks !
The owner of this cafe talks very rudely. The service of food is very slow. There is no test of anything in food. The way of serving the serve is also bad. I will give 1 star to this useless cafe which is not worth it. Do not come to this cafe, both time and money will be wasted.
This place have my heart ❤ such a cool place , boho vibes and fun place i sat around 4 hours daily while I was in rishikesh. The food here is super yummy and on very affordable price. Breakfast for two will cost you around 350 Rs only. The low floor seating and view of Ganga makes it more beautiful 😍
The best cafe in the world to chill. Miss this place 🧡
I can say its a wonderful cafe in the town. Once again the view is amazing from this place. Food is delicious and affordable too. Their service is little slow yet I will rate as a good cafe.
The ambience was really good. The waiters were really sweet. The food was bad. Mashed potato was literally some juice potato. French fries was just oil and potato. Indian Thali tasted good but the quantity was very less. Can improve
Super cool Cafe...its bit hard to find, you have to enter into a jewelery shop to get into it..quick service with quality at affordable menu.I feel bit congested in this cafe, I wont recommend this place if its crowded as you cant able to have a pleasant time. But the live band sounds cool...theHave a good time Rishikesh! Stay safe!
Working from this cafe for whole day and what I got in return: new people, new ambience, and finally food on your table and that too under ₹500.
The Ambience of the cafe is awesome with a great view of the Ganga river. The food preparation was also above standards. Tried a Veg Thaali which was good and also sufficient for one person. Side starters and desserts are a must try too.
Slow service . Disrespectful attitude of staff .Too expensive and good for nothing
It’s a hidden cafe inside a Jewelley shop. Love the seating arrangement on river side and the food was yum.
Amazing place to chill out as well as work from. Grab your laptop and enjoy working with magnificent view of Ganga.
The place has an amazing vibe with an awesum river view
Very good cafe near Laxman Jhula. View of Ganga is simply amazing. Must visit if you are in Rishikesh
Amazing place to enjoy the splendid sunset with a cup of tea in your hand. This place gives chill vibes and I for one absolutely love it. There service needs a lot of improvement. Sometimes it feels like they are not really interested in serving. I think the food is okayish. But you dont go to Shambala if you want to have amazing food. You go there for the vibe and amazing view of ganga.
Awesome view though food needs bit improvement
Nice cafe with tasty mexican food
Amazing place to chill in Rishikesh. Theyve got amazing food. Perfect vibes.
Very very slow serviceDisrespectful attitude of staff
Super view cafe with very good food
Great place to smoke up and fantastic service
This restaurant might have got its fame coz of a past. It is no longer worth a visit. Avoid this place, unless you are about to die of hunger.
Fantastic place. God bless Rishikesh
Its a beautiful place to sit and chill for hours...
The views were very good but food not so much.
LOVE this cafe. The views are great, food is delicious and good value for money and very chilled place to easily spend a few hours. Ended up coming back like 4 times in 2 days...recommend to anyone
Totally cool place with good food.
The warmth and service.
It’s a nice cozy spot to enjoy the variety of stuff on the menu. Friendly staff, good service and good seating. Live music add charm to it. I liked the vibes of the cafe and serene Ganges. Good place to chill.
They give preferential treatment if youre NOT Indian. Great view and ambience. Has the underground vibe. But overall hugely disappointed with their service and behaviour
Must try sayHelloToTheQueen and sizzlers
Awesome Cafe in Rishikes. Its in my best cafe from Rishikesh. The food is good, from this you can enjoy wide range of food items. So must visit there.
Nice chilled seating area with awesome view of the ganges. Food was pretty good too.
A good place to unwind while sitting on the floor. It is very popular among tourists so prices are a bit high. It takes a long time to get what youve ordered, but they at least warn you in the menu. The view over the Ganges is amazing.
Loved there open mic nights. Great place with positive vibes.
Place for chill! We really like it) Good breakfasts and super tasty falafel! Highly recommend
Food was quite good, the venue had cool vibes, good view - not my favourite around here but decent!!
Comfortable floor seating. Good food and great views.
One of the best view for a Cafe! Very nice food, sometimes live music and very friendly staff. We kept going back even after we moved to the other side, its that good :)
Great food and live local music is played while you eat. The service is quite slow (we where a group of 25 people so its reasonable). Cheap and tasty food
Good food. Price was reasonable but the customer service was really bad.
Lovely place hidden behind a small jewellery shop. Good food, great ambience and beautiful views of the Ganges. The family that owns the place is really sweet and welcoming. Also, the sister in the family, Swati, does palmistry reading. For me, her reading was spot on in several dimensions. Highly recommended!
Beautiful views. Just loved to BE here. Great enviroment and food. They have live music also every night.
-Favorite Café in Rishikesh-The view and the vibe is amazing. Very nice place to chill out. The food and the drinks are always tasty and the prices are very good compare to other cafés.Favorite: sweet Lassi :)Also the stuff is always friendly and thoughtful.Love to hangout there and enjoy the sun.
Highly unwelcoming. Very disappointed with the host. The venue is undoubtedly very creative but the attitude of the owner was extremely unprofessional. I would not recommend such a place if you are looking for a pleasurable out. There are several other cafe in the same lane (ganges side) which happily serve you awesome food.
Perfect view by the Ganges... Decent food... Chill out place for couples and friends...
Nice view and atmosphere but it takes way too long to get the meal or coffe. I had to left twice without the meal because my time was running out. But food is tasty, if you have time to wait.
Great view of the ganga with incredible food amongst great people. This place in a find and opens itself up to a scene through a jewelry shop. You have to ask around a bit to find it but once there, be ready to lose yourself to the vibes of this place.
Tasty paneer butter masala and great view.
Best time to visit is after 7 PM when the lights are turned on. It really is a beautiful place
Amazing views and delicious iced coffee 👏🏼
Great chilled out place. Always a good group of people inside, both customers and staff. Western(ish) menu as well as Indian, Nepalese options.
I spent a great time in Shambala cafè, one of the best place in Rishikesh. Good view on Ganga river, good food, chill-out atmosphere, great ice coffee and staff very lovely. Must be there!!
Food is good.
Delicious food. Friendly staff. Great ambiance 👌🏽. Amazing view over the Ganga.
It felt good sitting there.
Great place with lovely view over the Ganga, food is great and staff v friendly
Only went for drinks, but prices were reasonable for the tourist markets, drinks were tasty, and view and decor is lovely. Perfect to cool off in summer heat!
Great location and view ! The drinks here are good, o loved my shakes and lassies. However the food is not the best, but really good price.
Such a great cafe and food is also remarkable...you guys can enjoy a river view with awesome food 🙂
Great tasting food and Ganges views, such a relaxed vibe and place to chill. Will come back again
Unfortunately, Opens at 10am, but breakfast for just 140rs was really good. Also I had there momos and chocolate pancake. Delicious! And Beautiful Ganga view of course
Food was ok but service wasnt. Too expensive for what it was, sadly. Other than that, view is very nice
