This hotel is not very fancy or lavish but its so cozy and comfortable It feels like home in there. Which seems to be quite a hip place for youngsters. Everything about the property gets a thumbs up . The Owner Shashi is always there to make your stay comfortable and memorable. As a solo traveller , I was made to feel safe. Nothing was a tall ask for the Shashi. Be it getting tea from the local shop at early morning or a pack of ORS as my stomach was upset. Everything was accommodated.It is easy to connect with other travelers as well. Scenic View from Balcony and well Connected with all cool cafes. Thanks a lot for making my first solo trip as the most memorable trip.

An amazing place to stay while in Tapovan, Rishikesh. The owner, Shashi is a great guy and will be there to help you any time of the day. The view from the hotel is breathtaking and will provide you with beautiful scenes to capture.Lastly, food at the hotel is pretty affordable and tasty so Id recommend you to go for it if youre looking for a solo, couple or family stay.

This place is a breath of fresh air among the hustle and bustle in the ever so packed Rishikesh. The rooms are spacious with ample amenities and the view from the balcony is unparalleled.I visited Rishikesh on new years eve and stayed at Moonlight Mowgli and they made it very memorable. There was soft live music, bonfire and people around singing together, it was the perfect way to step into the new year.I would highly recommend this hotel cum hostel to everyone who want a somewhat offbeat stay and see the core of the city meanwhile meeting people coming from different cultures of the world .

I stayed at moonlight mowgali for a week. At first it looks like a basic stay but only if you open doors to balcony you will find amazing view of Ganges and Rishikesh at few mtrs. Rooms were very clean and neatly tucked. Location was good as most of things we needed were near by and walkable including some nice cafes. But the most amazing thing about the stay was the host Shashi. He is one of the most humble and wonderful human one can come across. He made sure we had a comfortable stay. In fact during our stay kitchen wasnt ready and when we asked for it he got us all utensils, induction and one filled spice box so we can cook without any issues. Also on our last day at stay he invited us to have a very tasty dinner made by him and his friends. Whatever you need he is the guy. One can take suggestions on what to see locally from him. On his suggestion we went to kunjapuri trek and that was not just a trek but an experience on its own. This was my first Airbnb experience and I really loved it! Thank you Shashi for making our stay memorable :)

I had an amazing stay at Moonlight Mowgli thanks to Shashi. The place has such a homely vibe to it with some of the best views of the Ganga river in Rishikesh. Located very close to the Laxman Jhula, Moonlight Mowgli is situated in the Tapovan area which is filled with great cafes and interesting alleys. The rooms were neat, clean and extremely comfortable and the Wi-Fi was top notch. Above all I had a great time talking to Shashi and listening to his stories on Rishikesh. Will definitely be back for another stay soon.

My stay at Moonlit Mowgli was very comfortable, and nice. The vibe was very homely, and chill. The location is pretty great, and there are budget places to eat, also good cafes within a 5-10 min walking distance! The rooms are well lit, and you get a close Ganga view from the rooms itself (its so close to the river that you can hear the water flowing)! Shashi, the host was very helpful and resourceful. He had the most perfect list of places to visit, and contacts for literally anything and everything (food, local travel, activities, yoga etc.) I loved staying here, and will definitely stay only here on my next visit to Rishikesh. Definitely worth going to!

Shashi is a fabulous host who will make you feel warm from the moment you arrive here. The views from Moonlight Mowgli are breathtaking, especially the sunset. White noise of Ganga Rapids is something very few accommodations can claim here in Rishikesh!If going to Rishikesh, do stay with him.If not going to Rishikesh, please do!!

Nice place affordable

I visited this place in the winters and Im beyond blessed to have chosen this place. Its a bit inside a small gully but Im glad I found it. Its got a gorgeous Ganga view and a very polite and professional host. The property is neat and clean. They provide for everything- cab, yoga teacher, food delivery, room cleaning, laundry, you name it. Id absolutely love to recommend this place if you want peace, quite and also be in the heart of Tapovan.

An awesome place to stay and enjoy the view of the mighty Ganges. The owner and the other people are really humble and know a lot about Rishikesh. You can ask them for anything and theyll always have an answer for all your needs.

Moonlight Mowgli is at a very nice and accessible location. Rooms are clean and tidy, and offer an amazing view of Ganga.Shashi, the host here, was amazing. He took us out for a trek to a local village and also hosted a bonfire on the terrace.Would totally recommend this place to someone who is looking for a good accomodation within budget! :)

I had wonderful divine stay experience at Moonlight Mowgli and I very satisfied with every aspect of the hotel. Lovely hotel, Very comfortable, 10 minute walk to the Laxman Jhula and Sai Ghat. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable regarding places to visit. The hotel is very clean throughout, and our room was spacious with everything that we needed. I had an room with the view of mighty Ganges and it was an heavenly experience. The hotel is quiet, and is situated near to numerous restaurants. We would highly recommend a stay at this hotel

I stayed here for 20 days and everyday I felt like I was at home. This place is by far the best experience of stays I received in Rishikesh. First of all the location of this place is incredible. It is right next to Ganga ji. So you will keep hearing the beautiful sounds of it. Its also close to shaloms where you hear amazing live music often. You can see Beatles cafe from here and a lot of Tapovan too. Its very quite and peaceful at the same time. I had harmless monkey visitors in the morning and beautiful bird sounds all day.Now the second and equally incredible part about this place is the owner of this stay is this very beautiful human being, Shashi. Hes super polite, caring and respectful. Hes also young and well travelled so can share plenty of experiences to have around in Rishikesh. In terms of comforts of the place, from laundry to cleaning to food delivery to cab booking, hes got you covered for it all. Hes overall a very nice person. I often travel alone and I felt super safe at his place mostly due to his calm and compassionate presence. And hes that way with everybody, humans or animals.They are also fixing up a kitchen there and setting up a washing machine for easy access to doing laundry. I am going back to Rishikesh and I havent even considered living anywhere else but here. Try to get a room with the Gangaji view. I think thats the one true way of really capturing the essence of this place. :)

I stayed with Shashi on a month-long tour of India, and the time I spent with him in Rishikesh was my favorite time/place in the whole country. Shashi is extremely kind, generous, thoughtful, and full of energy. He has been in Rishikesh a good long while, so he knows all the good spots. During the week or so I spent with him we did a couple mountain hikes, went to see an aarti (riverside prayer ceremony), took a sunrise trip up to Kunjapuri Temple that was spectacular, and another day Shashi took one of our friends on a motorbike ride up to the headwaters of the Ganga. I would recommend everyone who goes to India to go to Rishikesh and see my man Shashi. You will not go wrong.
