The staff was friendly and very welcoming. We recieved complimentary crisps with their in-house chutney, and water. There are several options to choose from the menu. You can even ask for your favourite cocktails if it is not there on the menu. The digital menu card was bit confusing to read on the mobile phone. The only downside is that the waiter was repeatedly asking if he can take the crisps back every 10 minutes.

Amazing interior and even better personnel. We found it by accident and were planning to stay for a drink, and yet we stayed til closing. If you have a chance sit inside and enjoy the music, the atmosphere, and definitely talk to the employees!!

This was genuinely an amazing experience! The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable & the cocktails are exquisite! They also have snacks, we tried the pork buns, jalapeño poppers, crispy chicken and truffle rice- all delicious!The place in itself is cozy and has good music and overall a good vibe. My experience was wonderful from the start t’il the end. The outside doesn’t say much about the place, but once you’re inside, you’re immediately in the mood. We sat at the bar with my friend, discussed with the bartender who also recommended us which cocktail to choose based on our taste. It is a lovely, chic and yet friendly place to meet people and discuss around high qualitative drinks. Go inside, ask the staff how they are today, give them your taste preference and you’ll be surprised... One address I’ll never forget! Definitely one of the best cocktails I’ve tasted for affordable prices (8,50€ - 12€)

Atmosphere is good. Nice music. Service was not to good. My expectation is that a person sitting at the bar with an empty glas should get asked for another drink. It took a while to get the attention of the mixologist. The cocktails are mostly ice with a small quantity of the drink. Tastewise I would prefer different bars in Amsterdam with lower prices. I would like to give three stars but my personal opinion is, that is was lower the avarage bar.

I love this place! We found it randomly walking around the city and stopped in for drinks. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. They give you a bottle of water with each drink you order, which I think is amazing. They will make you a custom drink based on your preferences if you’re not sure which drink to order. It has a speakeasy feel to it and is very cozy. Highly recommend!

This spot is fantastic. The cocktails are inventive and delicious. Inside of the bar is a tight fit for big groups but they handle it well by making sure they seat folks. They are particular about seating with coats off due to space which isnt a big deal as you can see where your coat wanders off to. Enjoy this place immensely!

Amazing service along with amazing cocktails. The presentation of the drinks is quirky and the flavours are balanced and interesting. It is a little bit pricey but worth it. My only complaint is the menu is difficult to read because the pages are thick cardboard.

I found Tales & Spirits on a list of the top bars in Amsterdam and I can confirm it absolutely belongs on such a list!The drink menu is a book, there are house rules, you MUST turn your coat over to be hung up, and the cheese plate is to die for.There are lovely quotes all over the walls and the service is unreal. Our server helped us navigate the menu and even heard which liquor we like to ensure we had a drink to suite our tastes. Mine came in a camera lens! My boyfriends came on an artists paint pallet, with different colors to change the flavor of his drink!Seriously well worth tracking this bar down for a specific visit. Absolutely cannot miss Tales & Spirits!

Really lovely cocktail bar, one of the best in Europe. The cocktails are presented in very particular glasses as you can see from the pictures. Not cheap but if you want the quality you have to pay for it 😄

The place is really nice. You can find perfect cocktail for your taste. Always crowded. Hard to find a space to sit. So try to go early. Every week they have different types of cocktails. So dont miss the change when you arrive there. Start with cocktails of the week. The menu is really huge. Including many tales. Prices are €8-20 for a cocktail.

Definitely has a boujee cocktail vibe, a little bit of a speakeasy flair to it, and the cocktails and service are great! Recommend going early so you can be in the first seating, and just grab a spot at the bar. Menu is too big and overwhelming with the number of options, so ask the bartender to help based on what youre in the mood for. Feels a little touristy and not like a local spot, but still a fun experience.

Best cocktails in Amsterdam! They have a quirky menu with a range of unique cocktails. The cocktails are so yummy and the guys and girls working there are just as amazing as the cocktails themselves. The snacks on the menu are also incredible delicious!

Really great cocktail bar. The place was busy, but the staff was really nice and made an extra table for us. Then when a real table opened up, moved us over. The cocktails were delicious and well made. The zombie will mess you up. I highly recommend it.

Exceptional service and atmosphere - very polite and quirky staff. The service is the main reason I will return here - good cocktails can be found in many places in Amsterdam, but the staff elsewhere can sometimes be a bit stiff, or even rude. We had 2 cocktails - both great. I have forgotten the name of the first one (pictured) - it was reccommded by the waiter. Very nice, but I wouldnt recommend it if you are a lightweight!

The Van Gogh painting cocktail was pretty clever and cute! It lacked balance and was too absinthe forward which overpowered any of the sweeter notes in the cocktail but at least the presentation was nice.

Flawless and quick service - been taken care of, together with coats being handled for us, from the moment we entered through the door.The cocktail I tried (the one pictured - body and soul is what I believe it was called) wasnt particularly up to my taste, but it was a beautifully presented masterpiece of a concoction nonetheless.

Only negative thing is waiting. As usual for most of these popular places. Still it worths. I tried one from their favorites list. Excellent experience. Strongly recommend
