I too have experienced and heard from many actors that, they come with their expectations but they get more. 2 plays (productions) every month is not a joke, no any Institute can do it. I have visited alot of places that assured me - they can teach anyone the craft of acting in the shortest time possible (for a handsome fee, obviously) BUT swatantra theatre, on the other hand, has been a reality check for alot of the students who sign up for it.. if you believe that you genuinly want to act - you can enroll in the courses available, the rest shall be handled by the dynamics of the theatre it self.. Excellent team and kids love going during Summers and winter holidays for theatre. Proper care is taken to groom kids into respective roles been going for last 3 years and have seen positive results

I will share my experience with Swatantra theatre from two perspectives.1. Children theatre: Both my daughters have been a part of the family for last three years, and collectively they have participated in 7 plays. It speaks about tenacity and stickiness :)Grooming: Children undergo one full month of training sessions which culminates into professional level production at the end of tenure. Children learn about culture, expression, speech, creativity, team working and multi-tasking (during rigorous training days :)).Location: Beautiful and serene environment of Shri Mahavir Jain Vidyalay at the centre of the city.Team: EK NUMBER. Abhijit Sir, Dhanashree and pool of talented mentors. Hats off to them - how they bring the best out of young children working tirelessly. They create such a happy, bonding and engaging environment, children never like to leave the place.2. Regular theatre: I have seen few of their productions such as Court Martial, Jis Lahore nahin dikhya..., Chekov. Impactful stories, dramatization and top-class acting. Dont miss Dhanashree Madam and her urde/punjabi ascent in the role of budhiyaa!! Absolute delight to watch. I am aware they do experimental cinemas too and thats on my next radar.

It has the most happening theater culture. The professors are very friendly in nature, very supportive and too creative in whatever they do. It is a very good theater doing exceptional work in Hindi in Pune. They have very powerful actors and the plays they do are of very good context.The main thing is they work all the time and do productions that are of good quailty. The actors of swatantra theater specially have very good voice art. Their forms of playback, street, poetry and story telling is exceptional. The work they are doing is creating a better world.

Swatantra theatre is only place in Pune where you can do hindi theatre . I have been a student here for past 1.5 years learning all aspects of theatre. The best part of being under the shed of Swatantra theatre is it has no problems of rehearsal space , coustmes and set . To add to that under the module of training it has been a constant effort from our directors that they do a minimum of a one full length production every month. Our theatre group also explores street theatre , physical theatre , mime community theatre , site specific theatre and play back theatre. It wouldn’t be wrong to quote that the amount of work opportunities I get here is equivalent to a national level institute .

I am actively associated with the theater group for almost a year. The rigorous voice, body and mind exercises regularly, promise an exponential and steady growth. The mentors, Abhijeet Sir and Dhanashree mam, take noteworthy efforts to not only ensure ones on-stage growth but off-stage too. People with jobs are welcomed with consideration for timings yet not devoid of any opportunity. It is a remarkable learning environment covering all facets of acting, theoretically and practically. The theater group also undertakes a number of short film projects actively, under the name of Swatantra Films on YouTube (launched recently) ensuring constant exposure to lens and film ethics. Also, the theater group is lined with a plethora of external opportunities for acting, script-writing, direction, mentoring, singing and much more. Freedom of Ideas, Freedom of Learning, Freedom of Growth equals Swatantra Theater. 5 stars. :)

I am so glad to be a part of Swatantra theatre, and there is only reason behind this is my Gurus....Abhijeet sir and Dhanashree maam, I founded one of the best theatre in India because no one is doing this much of hard work with continuity, since I joined to till now....I learnt a lot about Acting, even I cant find that small small things on Google, as well as I have been the part of 4 play and also did mentoring for children production, did Mime act twice last but not the least I was also in 3 short film...This is amazing journey of only 4 months and 3 weeks. In this materialistic n so called professional world, YES! Swatantra exists...!!🌈When parents come to pick their kids at 9:30pm, I have not heard a child complaining of the long working tired day. But, an enthusiasm to ask their mentors, what time is the class tomorrow?. Kids from age group 5 to 16, under one roof, practicing from 2pm each day is the sheer dedication, unconditional love of the SWATANTRA TEAM!! Im sure after the 4th of June 2017, there will be a vacuum in every participating childs day schedule. Hi, I am accociated with Swatantra Theatre Group for over a year and I have learnt the core minorities of stage, acting and drama here. Our Gurus Abhijeet sir and Dhanashree mam always emphasize on doing a deep investigation and research of the character and go through the techniques of characterization and meditation in order to curve out the actual portrait of the character.
